Abstract

Science in Elementary School aims to enable students to understand science concepts, process skills, have an interest in studyingthe natural surroundings, the scientific attitude and be able to apply the concepts of science. Submission of science just by generallecturing and examination tend to make students bored and mastery of the science by the students less than the maximum.Submission of science by providing hands on experience to students through the use of KIT is one alternative in science learning.The aim of this research is to know how the impact of science KIT training towards the development of scientific capabilitiesfor elementary school teachers in Magelang. This pre-experimental study using a sample of 14 teachers from 12 primary schoolsin Magelang. Data collection techniques used in this research is through questionnaires, while data analysis using descriptivestatistics of the questionnaire. The conclusion that can be drawn from this study is that science KIT training can provide apositive impact on the development of the scientific capabilities of the teachers.

Abstract

This study aims to provide the Achievement Motivation Training (AMT) as a Preventive of Student ProcrastinationBehavior at Muhammadiyah University of Magelang. The method in this study is experiment (One Group Pretest-PosttestDesign). Students are measured by using procrastination scale. The data analysis used to test the hypothesis of this study bynon-parametric statistical analysis of two interconnected samples test using wilcoxon signed ranks to see the difference betweenacademic procrastination behavior before and after training.Based on the analysis of pretest and posttest data, it is knownthat there is a difference between pretest and posttest with sig value 0.924 (Sig> 0,05), it means the hypothesis is rejected thatthere is no significant difference of academic procrastination between before training (pretest) and after training (posttest), so thetraining that has been conducted in this research is less able to give effect to the decrease of the student’s academic procrastinationbehavior based on the procrastination scale, but when viewed from the interview and observation result during the training andposttest shows that the students are very enthusiastic and inspired by the activity, To abstain from academic procrastinationbehavior. It is also seen that one month after the training, students are more excited to come to the class on time, more visiblytough, cheerful, and more eager not to delay doing tasks.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine (1) the characteristics, (2) the validity of (3) practicality, (4) the effectivenessiqra SEMAR media. This research is a Research and Development, the research design developed by Borg and Gall ie steppreliminary study, development, and testing results. Assessed the validity of the instrument and its learning mediasupportingthe learning medias such as: lesson plans, Teaching Material, LKS, THB, and Iqra Books Java. Practicality assessed fromteacher observation sheet to manage learning, student responses and teacher responses. Assessed the effectiveness of the activitiesof students, THB and reading skills. Analysis using descriptive, descriptive percentages and THB using n-gain techniques werethen tested one sample test and the test sample pair.Iqra SEMAR media on reading skills in elementary students letters Java class IV characteristics from the syntagmatic,social systems, reaction principle, the principle and the impact of instructional support or accompaniment. Research results thatcooperative learning mediato learning reading skills Herroiq Java letter declared valid. expert validation score of 89.9 for thelearning media (very valid); learning device at 66 (very valid); RPP of 221 (very valid); teaching materials for 143.6 (valid);LKS equal to 151 (very valid); THB at 169.8 (very valid); book iqra at 156.6 (very valid).Iqra SEMAR media to learning the skills to read Java skill. Score observations ability of teachers to manage learning has ascore of 3.43 (very good); responses of the students had an average score of 3.23 (very good); responses teacher of the learningactivities obtained an average score was 3.41 or teacher response to the criteria (excellent). Results of analysis of student activity81.25; median student learning outcomes by 87, with a value of t is greater than t table (9.493> 2.04523), reflecting thesignificant differences of learning to iqra SEMAR media.

Abstract

Revealed that the nutritional state of a person is a picture of what is consumed in the long term. Nutrition condition canmanifest less or more. Levels of malnutrition can be mild, moderate or severe. Likewise, the state of nutrition can be mild,moderate or severe. Someone who lack one or more nutrients can cause a deficiency disease. Only mild deficiency can causedecreased ability to function although sometimes not realized it was due to nutritional factors. In accordance with the theoryof food food become essential to the survival of a person in accordance with the functions of food, so oraang must understandwhat is needed for the body and food functions. Children in the age of 5-8 years is a golden period in which the child shouldbe provided with sufficient food nutrition as foundation or baseline for survival that will come without experiencing interferencewill disrupt the process of development of the child because that age is included vulnerable nutritional need attention important.Vulnerable nutrition usually occurs in infants, toddlers, school children 6-13 ye hypertension, coronary heart, diabetes andstroke. Other terms submitted by Michael J. Gibney et al (2005: 304) A small child underweight was sh ort (stunted), irondeficiency, smallish by age gestasionalnya. (SGA, small for gestational age) or up to a lower level, it can show the deficiency zineperubahn behavior. Therefore, the need to pay attention to the nutritional status of the existing on-age children of school ageespecially SDN N 2 Krinjing has experienced a catastrophic eruption of Mount Merapi in 2010 ago that after the accidentoccurred nutritional status is there to say good nutritional status as it should be. SDN 2 Krinjing Magelang district needsto do research after experiencing a catastrophic eruption of Mount Merapi in 2010 ago for school age range, especially intonutritional status for the survival of both growth and development when it comes to survival. Knowing the nutritional statusby measuring BMI (Body Mass Index) in SDN 2 Krinjing Magelang Merapi disaster and Knowing the number of childrenclassified as more nutritional status and malnutrition by taking the measurements of BMI (Body Mass Index) in SDN 2Krinjing Magelang Merapi disaster. So that the nutritional status of the SDN 2 Krinjing Magelang district in accordancewith the data presented in the results of the study showed undernutrition or underweight status and rightly need to be addressed,which means before the happening things that are not desirable. Thus, BMI is one tool used in obtaining data on nutritionalstatus can be said to be appropriate for a person is his body balanced or normal is balanced between weight and height so thatthe interconnections between them, and as a benchmark to become a benchmark in status nutrition.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the alphabet media “ SENYAWA “ to the improvement of writingskills continued straight grade II SD N Karangmulyo , Kab . Purworejo. This study approach used true experimentalresearch. Pretest posttest control group used as research design. Treatment arrange on 8 meetings , each meeting consist of thealphabet using the media “ SENYAWA “. The subjects of this study were 30 students who were divided into 2 groups: theexperimental group and the control group.The data collection technique used writing skills observation. Data were analyzed using T test. The study results showed thatthe media alphabet “ SENYAWA” had positive effect on students’ writing skills upright continued . Based on the test resultstwo groups conducted by the authors, obtained t < t table is -5.435 < 2.0484 and the average value of the experimentalgroup in the amount of 8.46 with a percentage of 39.2 % . These results indicate that the writing skills upright concatenatedexperimental group is higher than the control group

Abstract

Child with learning disorder is one kind of children with special needs. The symptoms of this learning disorder are difficultto concentrate and understand new information resulting from nervous and brain function disorders. Children who experiencelearning disorder will show different attitudes from others, such as like yelling, daydreaming, being frightened, and running toand fro. These attitudes are expressed by Rumiyati Diah Sekar Purwaningsih, a student diagnosed with learning disorder.This learning disorder can be treated with therapy on a regular basis, such as speech therapy, habituation, and social therapy.In addition, early prevention can also be done at prenatal and postnatal time.

Abstract

Parents’ roles in introducing IT to children of grade 1 MI Ma’arif Bowongso in Kaliwiro district Wonosobo regency are veryimportant as, along with the advance of science and technology, the children are expected to have ability in IT so that theyare able to know, recognize, and at least operate computer well. A research has been conducted to figure out parents’ roles inintroducing IT to children. The approach used was qualitative method with descriptive design and data collection techniquein the form of interview as well as documentation. The data was analyzed by using the technique of data reduction, datapresentation and data verification. The research result shows that parents’ roles in introducing IT to children of grade 1 MIMa’arif Bowongso in Kaliwiro district Wonosobo regency have not been maximum as there are many children that still cannotoperate computer. It is the result of the lack of parents’ knowledge and understanding in introducing and operating IT media.From the research result, it can be concluded that The research result shows that parents’ roles in introducing IT to children ofgrade 1 MI Ma’arif Bowongso in Kaliwiro district Wonosobo regency have not been maximum.

Abstract

Children are generation that determines a nation’s future. Children’s characters formed from now on will determine the nation’scharacter in the future. Children’s characters will be formed well if in their development process they get sufficient chance toexpress themselves freely. Character education is taken important to be started in childhood as it is an educational processaimed to develop values, attitude and behavior which reflect good morality. Positive values which are supposed to be owned basedon character teaching are being pious, trustworthy, anticipative, positive-thinking, hard-working, civilized, dare to do right,dare to take risk, discipline, sincere, kind-hearted, godly, grateful, constructive, enthusiastic, initiative, responsible, tolerant,smart, careful, dynamic, cooperative, creative, independent, self- controlled, respectful to time, patriotic, friendly, compassionate,respectful to others’ works, assertive, diligent, humble, patient, having spirit of togetherness, open-minded, and tough in anysituation.

Abstract

This research is aimed to describe whether the zello application significance or not in building the students’ speaking confidence.Besides, it is also aimed to know the zello application build the students’s English speaking confidence.This research used quantitative method where experimental is needed to gather the data. Therefore, two classes were choosen forthe experiment; the first class served as the experimental class, and the second class served as the control class. Quasi-experimentalwith non equivalent control group design was used as the design of the research. There were two classes, experimental classand control class but the treatment was only given to the experimental class. Pretest was given to both classes before theimplementation of the treatment. While the postest was held to find out the students speaking confidence achievement.Findings show that there were a significance of the zello application in building the nursing’s student confidence in speaking.From the result of this experiment, it was found that zello aplication can be used in building the nursing’s students confidencein speaking. English spoken language through an application, can encourage students in using English in communication. Asa result, students were active and tried to use the English language in discussing the task, while the traditional method didn’tmake a significance change.
