This study aims to determine the effect of imagery training (group 1), kinesthetic perception training (group 2), and control training (group 3) on improving zero-step lay-ups and free-throws. The method used in this research is an experiment with a quantitative approach with a research design using Match Subject Ordinal Pairing. The design in this study used 24 samples divided into 3 groups given different treatments. this study uses measurements of zero-step lay-up and free-throw. The results of this study indicate that the zero-step lay-up of group 1 has an average pre-test result of 76.75 the post-test results which are with an average result of 110.87, and free-throw group 1 with an average pre-test result of 36.62 for post-test with an average result of 71.25. With the conclusion that the zero-step lay-up increased by 44% and free-throw by 95%, from the pre-test and post-test results. The results of group 2 for zero-step lay-up training are with an average pre-test of 66.75 then for post-test results of 100.12, and for free-throw group 2 with an average of 44.62 then for post-test with an average of 72.5. The results of group 3 for zero-step lay-up training are with an average pre-test of 63.62 then for post-test results of 81.37, and for free-throw group 3 with an average of 38.62 then for post-test with an average of 60.12. With the conclusion that the zero-step lay-up increased by 28% and free-throw increased by 56% from the pre-test and post-test results. The control group did experience an increase because they continued to practice as usual without any treatment like groups 1 and 2, but the increase was still below that of the treatment group. Thus it can be concluded that imagery training and kinesthetic perception training can be used to improve the ability of zero-step lay-up and free-throw.

Research on the sport of pencak silat regarding heartbeat is rarely studied, heartbeat is a precursor to the intensity of an athlete's training, a benchmark for the readiness of an athlete's performance. This study aims to understand the response of the heart when carrying out a match simulation performance in a single artistic category pencak silat athletes. The subject used was a single artistic athlete from IPSI Sukoharjo who advanced to the PORPROV Central Java Championship (Central Java Provincial Sports Week), a heart rate monitor was used to find out how his heartbeat responded during appearances. The results of this study, the first second to start the simulation moves, namely 142bpm (74% max. of heartbeat), then in the first 10 seconds it is 155bpm (77% max. of heartbeat), the first 20 seconds is 168bpm (84% max. of heartbeat), then increasing slowly and steadily 180-185bpm (90-92% max. of heartbeat) in the 01.50 to 03.00 minutes. This study concludes that the heart rate will always be in rhythm with the intensity of the movements carried out by the athlete, the more maximal the movements carried out, the higher the heart rate, up to the maximum limit of his ability.

This researcher aims to determine the effect of push-up exercises and dumbbell exercises on the overhead passing ability of volleyball extracurricular participants at SMPN 20 Makassar. The population in this study were students of SMP Negeri 20 Makassar. A sample of 40 people was taken based on random sampling. The dependent variable of the research is the ability to pass under volleyball. The independent variables are push-ups and dumbbell exercises. The research method is an experimental method with a one-group pretest-posttest research design. The research data were analyzed using paired and unpaired t-test techniques at a significance level of 95%. The results of the study showed that: (1) There was a significant effect of push-up training on the passing ability of volleyball extracurricular participants at SMPN 20 Makassar. The results of testing the data obtained a t-count value of 15.891 and t-table obtained 1.729 and a significance value of 0.000 <α0.05, so these results indicate that there is a significant difference. Because the t-count is greater than the t-table, so Ho is rejected. (2) There is a significant effect of dumbbell training overhead passing ability in volleyball extracurricular participants at SMPN 20 Makassar. The results of data testing obtained a t-count value of 14.311 and t-table obtained 1.729, and a significance value of 0.000 <α0.05, so these results indicate that there is a significant difference. Because the t-count is greater than the t-table, so Ho is rejected. And (3) there is a significant difference in the effect of push-ups and dumbbell exercises on overhead passing abilities in volleyball extracurricular participants at SMPN 20 Makassar. The results of data testing obtained a t-count value of 3.440 and a t-table obtained 2.021, and a significance value of 0.001 <0.05, so these results indicate that there is a significant difference. Because the t-count is greater than the t-table, so Ho is rejected. The magnitude of the increase in the push-up group (average value 16.4500) with dumbbell exercises (average value 13.9000) can be seen from the data with an average difference of 2.5500 points. This shows that push-up exercises can improve passing skills in volleyball games for extracurricular participants at SMPN 20 Makassar compared to dumbbell exercises.
