Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine how the influence of the skills of the crew in the use of navigation equipment on the safety of the shipping fleet at PT. AL JAZEERA SHIPPING.CO.W.L.L. The population in this study is the crew of a fleet of ships on PT. AL JAZEERA SHIPPING.CO.W.L.L, amounting to 21 people from 7 ships namely Sea Monarch, Sea Thunder, Al Aali 1, Al Faisal 1, Valian Eagle, Sea Dragon, Sea Majestic. The sample used was the entire crew of PT. AL JAZEERA SHIPPING.CO.W.L.L fleet, namely Sea Monarch, Sea Thunder, Al Aali 1, Al Faisal 1, Valian Eagle, Sea Dragon, Sea Majestic, amounting to 21 people with census techniques ". Saturated sampling is done if the population is less than 100 people. Based on the analysis and discussion shows that the skills of the crew in the use of navigation equipment at PT. AL JAZEERA SHIPPING.CO.W.L.L with an average weight of 4.00 so that respondents agreed that the crew was skilled in the use of navigation equipment. Safety of the shipping fleet at PT. AL JAZEERA SHIPPING.CO.W.L.L where the average weight is 4.01 so respondents agree that the safety of the shipping fleet is good. The results of simple linear regression analysis note that the skills of the crew in the use of navigation equipment on the safety of the shipping fleet of PT. AL JAZEERA SHIPPING.CO.W.L.L is very strong and positive, besides that based on the results of the Hypothesis Testing analysis it is found that there is a very strong positive influence on the skills of the crew in the use of navigation equipment on the safety of the shipping fleet at PT. AL JAZEERA SHIPPING.CO.W.L.L.

Abstract

Conflict in the business world is like an inevitable fire. This fire, if not extinguished with ethics and professionalism in business communication, can burn the entire organization and hinder success. This study reveals the importance of ethics and professionalism in dealing with conflict. Ethics and professionalism are like the air that cools the fire, helping to build constructive, fair, and respectful communication. With good communication, conflict can be resolved in an optimal way that benefits all parties. Strategies for resolving the fire of conflict are also diverse. Staying calm and professional, listening attentively, and focusing on solutions are key. Compromising and asking for help when needed are also equally important. The principles of communication ethics serve as a compass in guiding steps. Honesty, fairness, confidentiality, and accountability are like solid pillars that support ethical communication. The positive impact of proper conflict handling is like flowers blooming in a garden. Increased productivity, efficiency, communication quality, and cooperation are real evidence. Innovation and creativity thrive, employee retention increases, and the company's reputation shines. Case examples and conclusions are real illustrations of how ethics and professionalism help resolve the fire of conflict in the business world. Ethics and professionalism are like heroes who save organizations from destruction and lead them to success.

Abstract

Performance is the result of one’s work and work behavior in a period of usually 1 year. The outpud produced varies in forms, depends on the organization itself. Manny factors affect performance. In this study, 3 factors were most influenced, namely : Motivation, work experience and competence, Problems regarding performance are also experienced by Pengaruh Motivasi, Pengalaman Kerja Dan Kompetensi Dalam Meningkatkan Kinerja Kayawan PT. Dharma Lautan Nusantara (DLN). The purpose of this research is to first analyze the effect of the independent variables namely Motivation (X1) on the dependent variable in the form of employee performance (Y) on Geyer Pengaruh Motivasi, Pengalaman Kerja Dan Kompetensi Dalam Meningkatkan Kinerja Kayawan PT. Dharma Lautan Nusantara (DLN). Second, to analyze the effect of independent variables, namely work experience (X2) on the dependent variable in the form of employee performance (Y) on Geyer Pengaruh Motivasi, Pengalaman Kerja Dan Kompetensi Dalam Meningkatkan Kinerja Kayawan PT. Dharma Lautan Nusantara (DLN).Third, to analyze the effect of independent variables, namely competence (X3) on the dependent variable in the form of employee performance on Geyer PT. Dharma Lautan Nusantara (DLN. PT. Dharma Lautan Nusantara (DLN. totaling 28 member. Based in the taken as a sampe using a questionnaire to find out their opinions about employee performance. The classic assumption test shows that regression model has fulfilled the normality assumption, there are no multicollinearity The population in the study were all police officer at Geyer Police Station (symptoms and the regsressioin model does not contain heteroscedasticity. The results showed that all the hypotheses submitted were proven true, namely, first, Motivation (X1) had a positive and significant effect on employee performance at Geyer PT. Dharma Lautan Nusantara (DLN), a second, work experience (X2) had a positive and significant effect on employee performance at PT. Dharma Lautan Nusantara (DLN.Third, competence (X3) had a positive and significant effect in employee performance at Geyer PT. Dharma Lautan Nusantara (DLN), and Work Experience (X2) has biggest influenced .This is also shown by the value R2 of 0.808 which means 80,8% of the dependent variable variation, namely employee performance (Y) on by Geyer PT. Dharma Lautan Nusantara (DLN. influenced by independent variables such as Motivation, work experience and competence. While the rest (19.2%) is influenced by other variables outside the model.

Abstract

The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. Data processing techniques include observation, interviews, documentation and literature. Based on the population and informants, 10 respondents were obtained. The conclusions in this research include assessing self-evaluation and performance of warehouse employees, which is the activity of managers or superiors to evaluate employee work performance behavior and determine subsequent policies. Performance assessment is included in human resources, comparative human resources are the key to the company's success. By conducting performance assessments on employees, employees will always try to do the maximum possible in every activity provided by the company or leaders and managers, and it will also be easy for them to carry out company activities in the field of increasing employee positions or seeing employee performance that is not optimal. Apart from that, another aim of the company's self-evaluation and performance assessment of warehouse employees is the company's efforts to provide human resource development to improve the performance and competence of the employees concerned. Performance appraisal is not a punishment but a form of leadership attention towards employees.

Abstract

Ships are chosen as the main means of sea transportation, because the delivery of goods can be carried out in large quantities, and the costs incurred are smaller than other means of sea transportation. A container ship is a ship specifically designed to transport containers. On container ships, it is inseparable from the problem of tying container cargo such as, how to carry out container cargo tying on the MV ship. Tanto Tenang, and what causes the implementation of container cargo tying not to be in accordance with procedures, which are often found on container ships, especially regarding cargo lashing tools. The method used by the researcher is a qualitative method. The research data were obtained from primary data and secondary data, while data collection was obtained from observations, interviews, descriptive and literature. In the study on the analysis of the implementation of container cargo tying on the MV ship. Tanto Tenang based on lashing equipment standards, in the implementation it has not been in accordance with the Standard Operational Procedure, because in the implementation it is hampered by tools that are less supportive, the lack of lashing equipment for loading containers is one of the main causes. Because in its implementation, lashing tools are often lost and lacking. In container lashing, the lashing gang factor that does not understand the Standard Operational Procedure, cargo lashing is also another cause of the imperfect implementation of lashing on the ship. From the results of the study it can be concluded that the main cause of the cargo lashing process is due to lack of training for the lashing gang and the ship's crew themselves as well as the lack and loss of container cargo lashing equipment.

Abstract

Big Ocean Transportama is a company engaged in the field of Freight forwarder and warehousing services. PT. Big Ocean Transportama realizes the importance of making improvements and increasing warehousing services, namely by comparing warehousing services in companies engaged in the warehousing service business, namely PT. Buana Jaya Cargo and PT. Cipta Krida Bahari as an effort to respond to changes and improvements optimally both internally and externally and to improve the quality of warehousing services. With this description, the author is very interested in studying it in more depth and pouring it into a Journal with the title "COMPARATIVE ANALYSIS OF WAREHOUSING SERVICES AT PT. BIG OCEAN TRANSPORTAMA, PT. BUANA JAYA CARGO AND PT. CIPTA KRIDA BAHARI IN JAKARTA". The problem in this journal is the increasing competition in warehousing services between freight forwarding companies in Jakarta. The purpose of this study is to determine the effective actions / solutions of PT. Big Ocean Transportama in following up on the results of the comparison of warehousing services between freight forwarding companies in Jakarta. The approach used in this study is a quantitative approach, with a proportional stratified random sampling technique to draw or determine the number of samples in the 3 (three) companies as users of their services, which are then analyzed using Benchmarking (Patok Duga). The data used are primary data and secondary data as supporting data obtained from the company. From the results of the benchmarking analysis (patok duga), it is known that the competition in warehousing services at PT. Big Ocean Transportama as the implementer of benchmarking PT. Buana Jaya Cargo and PT. Cipta Krida Bahari as the comparison company have a tendency to improve the quality of warehousing services by forming a research and development team, forming a market team and stricter supervision carried out by PT. Big Ocean Transportama management towards its employees in the warehouse and the addition of loading and unloading equipment in the warehouse.

Abstract

The Indonesian government as the driving force of national development. It is time to plan ahead to make Indonesia the center of the world's sharia economy. For that, it is necessary to accelerate the competitiveness of the national sharia economic industry. Starting with preparing a significant budget for socialization of supporting devices that make the rise and development of the sharia economy, especially sharia banking. Among them are preparing reliable human resources, it is estimated that in the future it will require 200 thousand new workers for sharia finance and banking, preparing a socialization budget for around 85% of the Indonesian population who are Muslim (240 million people) prospective users and beneficiaries of the sharia banking financial industry in the country. Including all Islamic boarding schools in 33 provinces of Indonesia (25 thousand Islamic boarding schools), 3.7 million students and a number of sharia micro business groups and BMT. It is hoped that it will later become a pillar of national development in order to be able to build a strong economic foundation, regulations, healthy industrial competition, modern industrial players, appropriate technology so as to support industrial efficiency. So that in time Indonesia will become the driving force of the world's sharia economy, surpassing Saudi Arabia, Iran and Malaysia. It is very possible, because currently the development of Indonesia's sharia economy continues to grow to 40% each year compared to conventional economic growth of only 19%. Even now Indonesia can be called a country with the largest sharia financial industry in the world because it has more than 20 thousand sharia cooperatives and Balai Mandiri Syariah Terpadu.

Abstract

Lex Indonesia is a company engaged in the field of transportation and shipping services that serve the public in sending packages and documents door to door to all corners of Indonesia. The problem in this thesis is the factors that cause delays in shipping goods to consignees. The purpose of this study is to determine the factors that cause delays in shipping goods to consignees at PT. Lex Indonesia Jakarta in 2020 and find effective solutions and actions. Based on the results of the analysis using the fishbone diagram method used, five influencing factors were obtained, namely, the number of employees is not sufficient to handle the shipping process, bonuses are not given to employees to increase work enthusiasm, there are obstacles in the process of handling shipping goods, the fleet available to support shipping activities is inadequate, fleet maintenance has not been carried out properly and correctly. The root cause solution of the five factors, namely suggesting conducting a selection management analysis by creating positions and HR planning that are useful for finding out how many prospective employees are needed, management should create a program that motivates employees in the form of bonuses to increase work enthusiasm, pay attention to problems related to labor by creating a job training program plan, provide a special budget seriously to add new fleets, conduct routine fleet maintenance schedule evaluations by creating a proper maintenance system and preventive measures to overcome damage and provide warnings in the form of sanctions or notifications to each employee about the procedures for operating the fleet in accordance with the procedure.

Abstract

The Implementation of Work Safety and Health Management System on the Performance of ship’s crews at MV. Edwine Oldendorff’s Ship. 2022 Work safety and health at sea is very prioritized in the maritime world because it is one of the goals and indicators of a company's success and is a form of protection for workers. This study aims to conduct a research on occupational safety and health on the performance of ship’s crews at MV. Edwine Oldendorff. The data collecting by distributing questionnaires to 25 crew members on MV. Edwine Oldendorff and do some interview. The result shows that the relationship between work safety and employee performance had an influence of 38.7%. Similarly for the occupational health variable on employee performance has 36.4%. Work safety and occupational health on employee performance simultaneous implemented show an influence of 45.8%. The relationship between work safety, occupational health on employee performance both simultaneously has a strong relationship. Work safety and health of the performance of the crew at MV. Edwine Oldendorff has a higher influence of occupational safety and occupational health carried out simultaneously. The results of this study expect companies to improve occupational safety and health simultaneously, in order to get higher levels of achievement.

Abstract

Speaking with a good choice of diction will be greatly affect a person's level of confidence, making it easier to communicate smoothly. This research is aimed to get emperical data by analyzing the effects of self-confidence and choice of diction towards students’ speaking skill at state junior high schools in Kepulauan Seribu Jakarta. Samples are taken 86 respondents from students at grade 8 at state junior high schools at SMPN 133 Pulau Pramuka, at SMPN 241 Pulau Tidung and at SMPN 260 Pulau Untung Jawa in Kepulauan Seribu Jakarta. The research sample obtained through simple random sampling method that researchers mix the subjects in the population so that all subjects are considered equal. Data collective done by giving a dialogue to students to test speaking skill, a questionaire given to measure of self confidence whether it is high or low (30 items), and a test for choice of diction (multiplechoice/25 items). Collected data were analyzed using a descriptive statistical analysis and test data requirements (test for normality and linearity test), correlation and linear regression. The results of the research are concluded: 1) There are any significant effects of self confidence and choice of diction jointly towards students' speaking skills. That is proved by the value of Fo = 17,884 and Sig. 0,000 < 0,05; 2) There is a significant effect of self confidence towards the students' speaking skills. That is proved by the value of to = 2,654 and Sig. 0,010 < 0,05; 3) There is a significant effect of choice of diction towards students' speaking skills. That is proved by the value of t0 = 3,734 and Sig. 0,000 < 0,05. This may imply that students’ speaking skill is affected by self-confidence and choice of diction.
