Abstract

This article aims to explain the process of developing students' religious character based on teachers' exemplary behavior in schools. This perspective is founded on the belief that the success of instilling religious character values in the educational process cannot be separated from the example set by teachers for their students.This research is classified as qualitative research employing a case study method and a descriptive-qualitative approach. Data analysis was conducted using a descriptive-analytical technique to comprehensively illustrate the phenomena being studied.The findings reveal that the development of students' religious character based on teachers' exemplary behavior in schools is manifested through various efforts to foster values that contribute to building religious character. These include the practice of regular worship, behavior that aligns with religious teachings, the use of polite language, and mutual respect among school community members. This religious character development is carried out by teachers both inside and outside the classroom through consistent verbal and non-verbal communication, which has a positive impact on students.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to enhance students' capacity to use the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model with word wall media to assess descriptive texts with regard to student learning outcomes. Classroom Action Research (CAR), which is conducted in two cycles, is the research methodology used. Both quantitative and qualitative data analysis are employed. implemented in two cycles, with one meeting per cycle. 28 pupils in grade IX at SMPN 33 Surabaya served as the study's subjects. According to the study's findings, in cycle I, the percentage of students who analyzed descriptive texts with learning outcomes was 57.9% in the good category; in cycle II, this percentage increased to 60.5% in the fairly good category; in cycle I, student activity was 34.2% in the fairly good category, with the same results in cycle II, 34.2% in the less good category; and in cycle I, the percentage of students who were classically complete (7.9%) fell to 5.2% in the better category. Therefore, it can be said that the use of word wall media in conjunction with the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning paradigm can enhance students' learning outcomes when it comes to analyzing descriptive texts in class IX-G at SMPN 33 Surabaya.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of implementing e-commerce technology-based innovation strategies in culinary MSMEs in Jogoroto District. Using a qualitative descriptive approach, this study identifies the role of digital platforms such as social media, marketplaces, and delivery applications in increasing sales, operational efficiency, and business competitiveness. This study also found that the main obstacles for MSMEs include limited technological knowledge, implementation costs, and lack of innovative marketing strategies. However, the adoption of e-commerce has been proven to be able to expand market reach and significantly increase MSMEs income. The results of the study show that the effectiveness of e-commerce technology is influenced by understanding the program, determining the right target market, and implementing efficient and adaptive marketing strategies. Businesses that successfully use e-commerce are able to strengthen their brands and create real changes in business operations. This study recommends collaboration between the government and MSMEs actors to support digital transformation through technology training and providing access to relevant resources, so that MSMEs digitalization can run sustainably and support the local economy.

Abstract

Problem solving is one of the skills that plays an important role in mathematics learning. Problem solving is at the core of mathematics education in the United States. The mathematics curriculum in the US emphasizes the development of students' abilities to understand concepts and apply them to solve problems in various contexts. This approach is reflected in various educational standards and initiatives, which aim to prepare students to face the challenges of the 21st century. This research aims to describe Problem Solving in the mathematics curriculum in the United States. The research method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR).The research findings indicate that (1) the standard education curriculum in the United States refers to the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics (CCSSM), which outlines what students should learn in mathematics from kindergarten through 12th grade (K-12). (2) Efforts have been made in the United States to improve students' problem-solving abilities, including an emphasis on Mathematical Practices, the implementation of PBL and inquiry-based learning, technology integration, process-focused assessments, and teacher professional development. Common Core State Standards for Mathematics emphasize conceptual understanding, Mathematical Practices, and problem-solving in real-world contexts, which have the potential to enhance students'.

Abstract

This article focuses on ethical issues arising from food estate projects in Indonesia. When government political policies often carry the ethical view of utilitarianism, which argues that an action is said to be a good action if it brings benefits and happiness to as many peoples as possible. However, this view has a fatal weakness, namely that it does not guarantee justice or guarantee human rights. This is what will be explained in this article using Immanuel Kant’s ethics. The method used in this article is qualitative with a literature study approach. This article reveals findings that apply Kant’s ethics where a person cannot be sacrificed for any reason. In the context of food estate project, it cannot be at the expense of other people, whether for the food security of many people or the profits of a few political elites. Because every person who is valueable in himself, can never be used only as a tool or means. Rather, as an end in itself. This is in accordance with the second principle of the imperative category.

Abstract

This article examines Thomas Kuhn's views regarding scientific paradigms and scientific thinking through in-depth literature analysis. Kuhn's seminal work, "The Structure of Scientific Revolutions" (1962), introduced the concept of paradigm as a framework encompassing the theories, methods, and standards accepted by the scientific community in a particular period. Kuhn's view challenges the traditional understanding of scientific development which is considered linear and cumulative, by introducing the dynamics of scientific revolutions that replace old paradigms with new ones. This article explores key concepts in Kuhn's theory, including normal science, anomalies, crises, and scientific revolutions. Apart from that, the implications of Kuhn's views on scientific methodology and evaluation of scientific research in various scientific disciplines are also discussed. Thus, this article provides comprehensive insight into how scientific change occurs and how scientific thinking is influenced by historical, social, and psychological factors, as well as its relevance in the contemporary scientific context.

Abstract

This research examines the analysis of expressive speech acts in the novel Home Sweet Loan by Almira Bastari. The problems discussed in this research: (1) What are the types of expressive speech acts in the novel Home Sweet Loan by Almira Bastari? (2) What is the function of expressive speech acts in the novel Home Sweet Loan by Almira Bastari? The objectives of this research: (1). Describe the types of expressive speech acts in the novel Home Sweet Loan by Almira Bastari (2). Describe the function of expressive speech acts in the novel Home Sweet Loan by Almira Bastari. This research is included in the type of qualitative descriptive research because the data collected is in the form of words. The data and data sources for this research are expressive utterances contained in the novel Home Sweet Loan by Almira Bastari. The data collection technique used in this research is the listening and note-taking method. The data analysis technique in this research was carried out by observing followed by describing the problem with the data. Based on data analysis in the novel Home Sweet Loan by Almira Bastari, the form and function of 20 types of expressive speech acts were found, including the speech acts of agreeing, praising, apologizing, saying thank you, expressing shame, complaining, protesting, sarcastic, expressing desire, expressing surprise, expressing disagreement, expressing pity.

Abstract

Skin diseases are a common health problem around the world and affect different age groups. Data show that skin diseases are still a significant health problem in Indonesia, especially among the population. A quick and accurate diagnosis is essential to ensure proper treatment and prevent further complications. The research aims to develop a system of classification of skin diseases in humans using CNN with the EfficientNet B2 architecture, addressing the challenges in often time-consuming and error-prone manual diagnosis and leveraging advances in deep learning technology. The study used experimental methods to classify skin diseases using the MobileNetV2 Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm. The evaluation results showed that the EfficientNet B2 model had accuracy of 84,0%, precision of 85,0%, recall of 83,0%, and F1-score of 84.0%. This showed the model had a good performance in classifying different types of skin disease. Contributions to this research are in the fields of dermatology and artificial intelligence, as well as opening up opportunities for advanced research in image-based medical classifications.

Abstract

Learning is a reciprocal interaction relationship between learning participants and teachers. Learning carried out by playing is as high quality and effective as possible. Learning can be said to be effective if all components involved in learning can support each other, so that children will gain an understanding of what they are learningThis. Research activities are integrated throughout the product development process. This development research model uses the R & D research model, namely through 1). Research and data collection, 2) planning, 3) development of initial product draft, 4) initial field trials, 5) revision of trial results, 6) main product field trials, 7) product revisions, 8) wide scale field trials/ feasibility test, 9) final product revision, 10) dissemination and implementation. The resulting product is a Biology learning module based on Multiple Intelligence as Biology teaching material with sub-material on the human digestive system for class VIII junior high school students. The module designed is an electronic module based on Multiple Intelligence where every human has 9 intelligences, namely: linguistic, logical, musical, spatial, kinesthetic, interpersonal, intrapersonal, naturalist, and existential. which is described based on the material that has been selected, the material chosen is the material on the Digestive System in Humans.

Abstract

The belis tradition is no longer something new for the people of Eastern Indonesian, especially in the East Nusa Tenggara region. This tradition has noble values and is also a form of respect for women. The issue of the belis tradition process in the level of education as benchmark for belis Sumba women is very interesting to study scientifically,especially why the people in Watumbaka Village still maintain education as a benchmark for belis. The aim of this research is to describe the impact of education on the traditional belis process for every Summbanese woman. The method used in the resarch is qualitative with a descriptive approach. Data collection methods use interviews and documentation. Then the data was analyzed through three stages, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions so that a systematic series was arranged. The research result showed that the belis tradition of the Sumba people had experienced a shift where belis was determined based on a woman’s education level and no longer according to the mpther’s belis strata. The belis tradition is no longer maintained traditionally but rather follows the times and educational developments.
