Abstract

This research aims to describe the application of Padlet learning media in improving students' mathematics activities and learning outcomes in mathematics induction material for the 2022/2023 academic year. This type of research is classroom action research. The classroom action research design used in this research is a model developed by Kemmis and Mc Taggart. The research was carried out in 2 cycles, the first cycle consisting of 2 meetings and the second cycle consisting of 2 meetings. Researchers collected data by observation and tests. The subjects in this research were 33 class XI-MIPA 2 students at SMAN Bandarkedungmulyo, consisting of 11 male students and 22 female students for the 2022/2023 academic year. Based on the results of research in Cycles I and II, it was seen that student activity increased from 62% with fairly good criteria in cycle I to 86% with very good criteria in cycle II and the average student learning achievement test was 48.75 with a classical percentage of 21 % in cycle I was 80.71 with a classical percentage of 78% in cycle II. In Cycle II, student activities have reached the success criteria and student results have reached ≥76% classically, so by implementing Padlet learning media you can increase student activity and student learning outcomes.

Abstract

This article discusses the integration of knowledge by Jabir Ibn Hayyan in teaching chemistry at schools based on Islamic perspectives. Its background includes the importance of integrating science and Islamic values in education. The research aims to explore whether knowledge has been integrated with other sciences in teaching chemistry at madrasah schools based on the perspective of integrating Jabir Ibn Hayyan's chemical knowledge. The method used is descriptive qualitative using questionnaires distributed to three chemistry teachers at madrasah schools. The research findings indicate that the integration of chemical knowledge based on Jabir Ibn Hayyan's principles is not uniformly used in teaching at madrasah schools. The conclusion of this study is that the understanding and application of Jabir Ibn Hayyan's knowledge integration principles in the context of teaching chemistry vary among chemistry teachers. The research's contribution highlights the need for further efforts to integrate Jabir Ibn Hayyan's concepts into the chemistry curriculum at madrasah schools to create a balanced learning environment between intellectual and spiritual aspects.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the relationship between teachers' work experience and work motivation towards the professionalism of teachers in State Elementary Schools (SDN) in Cluster XVI, Bukit Batu Subdistrict, Palangka Raya City. The research employs a quantitative approach with a correlational ex-post facto design. The study's respondents involve 45 teachers comprising civil servants (PNS), contractual teachers (PPPK), and honorary teachers across seven SDNs, namely SDN 1 Tangkiling, SDN 2 Tangkiling, SDN 3 Tangkiling, SDN 4 Tangkiling, SDN 1 Sei Gohong, SDN 2 Sei Gohong, and SDN Kanarakan. The findings reveal a positive relationship between teachers' work experience and teacher professionalism in SDNs in Cluster XVI, Bukit Batu Subdistrict, Palangka Raya City, with work experience influencing teacher professionalism by 34.5%. The study also identifies a positive relationship between teacher motivation and teacher professionalism in SDNs in Cluster XVI, Bukit Batu Subdistrict, Palangka Raya City, with motivation's impact on teacher professionalism reaching 37.5%. Furthermore, the research uncovers a positive relationship between work experience and teacher motivation towards teacher professionalism in SDNs in Cluster XVI, Bukit Batu Subdistrict, Palangka Raya City. The analysis indicates that between teachers' work experience and teacher motivation has a significant influence of 49.8% on teacher professionalism. These research findings provide crucial insights for educational administrators and policymakers to enhance teacher professionalism by considering the aspects of work experience and teacher motivation in the environment of SDNs in Cluster XVI, Bukit Batu Subdistrict, Palangka Raya City.

Abstract

This research paper focuses on discovering the philosophical values ​​that are formed in the Reba Cultural Unity of the Bajawa Tribe, Flores-East Nusa Tenggara. Reba culture is an expression of gratitude for the harvest and the gift of life received during the year. This traditional ceremony is also an opportunity for reconciliation or repairing deep relationships between humans and God, humans and each other, as well as humans with their ancestors and nature. Reba is held once a year according to the traditional Bajawa calendar. This culture creates a unique relationally. This research uses library research and qualitative research through interviews. The author tries to find the philosophical meaning of the Reba culture of the Bajawa tribe using Martin Buber's dialogic perspective. The Reba ceremony carried out by the Bajawa tribe actually has a dialogic relationship; I-It and I-Thou as intended in Martin Buber's philosophy. Humans relate to each other to achieve certain goals and create existential relationships from the existence of each other. Humans will achieve meaning in their lives when there is a deep I-thou-fellow relationship that is not considered inferior but creates respect and concern for others.

Abstract

The content of critical thinking should be possessed by teachers because it benefits not only students but also the teachers themselves. Teachers play a crucial role in achieving the educational goals in developing students' critical thinking abilities. Many teachers fail to formulate the construct of critical thinking, assuming that understanding the development of critical thinking assessment is challenging, such as what will be measured. The purpose of this research is to measure the content of critical thinking in the Meta-Theoretical Aristoteles approach in Acid-Base Learning in Islamic Educational Institutions. The method used to compose this article is literature review (library research). Aristoteles values the importance of observation and experience in learning. In the context of learning, critical thinking should be based on careful observation and meticulous analysis of real experiences. By using critical thinking principles inspired by Aristoteles, educators can help students develop strong critical thinking skills, understand how to make strong arguments, and deepen their understanding of various subjects in the Acid-Base concept in Islamic educational institutions

Abstract

Basically, the scientific sources of the Koran and al-hadith are the reference sources for all scientific fields. Science is not divided into religious knowledge and general science. This is the basis for researchers to raise the concept of integration of science in prof. suprayogo priest. This research is a qualitative descriptive study using the literature study method. The literature used is literature that is relevant to the discussion and research objectives, such as books, journal articles, proceedings and research reports. The result of this library research is that prof. Imam Suprayogo builds knowledge based on the integration of Islamic sciences and science which is a refinement or unification of sciences that have been considered separate. This thought is known as Tarbiyah Ulul Albab. The concept of integration of knowledge is taken in the metaphor of the tree of knowledge, namely a tree that is sturdy, has shady branches, has lush leaves, and bears heavy fruit because it is supported by strong roots.

Abstract

The notak manjang tradition is a tradition of welcoming guests from the Dayak Kubin tribe. This tradition is usually used at weddings. The Dayak Kubin tribe believes that notak manjang is a tradition passed down from generation to generation by their ancestors. Long notes have certain meaning and value. The meaning that the author wants to research is the meaning of the existence of the Dayak Kubin tribe through symbols. The author conducted an analysis in Tiong Keranjik Village, Belimbing Hulu District, Melawi Regency. The aim of this article is to look at the meaning of symbols in the notak manjang tradition from the perspective of Karl Jaspers, an existentialist philosopher from Germany. The method used is the literature review method. Apart from that, the author also uses an ethnographic approach. The ethnographic approach is a research method that pays attention to the daily lives of local people in cultural aspects. Then, the author also used the interview method. The author creates a general interview framework, but not a standard set of questions. The focus of this article is to find the meaning of the notak manjang tradition through the symbols in it.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the implementation of the 2013 Curriculum in teaching at the Private Catholic Elementary School Santo Arnoldus Janssen, Bulik Subdistrict, Lamandau Regency. The 2013 Curriculum is a national curriculum that emphasizes the formation of competencies and character of learners. Despite its commendable objectives, there are several challenges in its implementation, such as incomplete teacher understanding and students' difficulties in comprehending thematic materials. This research employs a qualitative approach with data collection techniques including observation and structured interviews. The research takes place at SDS Catholic Santo Arnoldus Janssen. Observations indicate that teachers have been able to prepare and manage learning effectively, using engaging teaching strategies and encouraging active student participation. Furthermore, students exhibit good activity levels in following the learning process, both physically, mentally, and emotionally. The impact of implementing the 2013 Curriculum is evident in the quality of students who are competent, productive, creative, and independent. Effective and efficient learning resources have been utilized well by teachers, despite limitations in the use of laptops. Learning also stimulates the holistic growth of affective, cognitive, and psychomotor aspects in students. A safe, comfortable, and orderly learning environment is created through consistent rule enforcement and active student participation. Additionally, continuous evaluation and improvement processes are implemented.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the use of the platform merdeka mengajar (PMM) and its impact on teacher professionalism. This research uses a literature review with the narrative literature review (NLR) type, which consists of four stages, namely determining the study topic, searching and selecting sources, analyzing and synthesizing sources, and choosing the narrative structure. The NLR results show that 1) the independent teaching platform has 5 features that teachers can use to increase competence and professionalism in carrying out their duties. The five features of PMM are inspirational videos, independent training, proof of work, student assessments, and teaching tools. 2) Teachers already use the features in PMM. The use of PMM has an impact on teachers, namely building a collaboration space for teachers to improve their competence, making it easier for teachers to choose and design learning that suits students' needs and characteristics, making it easier for teachers to make appropriate and appropriate assessments for students, and has an impact on teacher competence. Comprehensively and sustainably. Based on this, the independent teaching platform is an important platform for increasing teacher professionalism with features that are productive and collaborative.

Abstract

This study examines several schools of education from a philosophical perspective. Through thorough research, this study identifies and explains the essence of educational schools such as essentialism, progressivism, reconstructionism, humanism, existentialism, conservatism, religious rationalism, and pragmatism. The authors present a detailed comparison of different educational approaches. The study also explores the impact of different philosophies of different schools on learning, teaching, and curriculum development. Therefore, the aim of this study is to provide a global image of educational dynamics.
