Abstract

Penelitian bertujuan menemukan konsepsi guru tentang pembelajaran kewirausahaan, kompetensi kewirausahaan yang dikembangkan pada unit produksi sekolah dalam bidang jasa boga. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif jenis studi kasus. Subjek penelitian adalah kepala sekolah, ketua program studi, kepala unit produksi, dan siswa. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, observasi, dan dokumentasi dan dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif dari Miles dan Huberman yang terdiri dari reduksi data, data display, dan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) belajar kewirausahaan memerlukan kegiatan nyata (hands-on) dengan melibatkan siswa pada kegiatan usaha yang nyata dalam unit produksi; (2) kompetensi kewirausahaan dikembangkan melalui unit produksi adalah: pengetahuan tentang kewirausahaan melalui pengetahuan diri dan pengetahuan praktis; sikap kewirausahaan meliputi etos kerja, disiplin, kemandirian, dan kreativitas, keterampilan berkomunikasi, keterampilan konseptual, keterampilan pengambilan keputusan, keterampilan mengatur waktu, keterampilan kepemimpinan. Model pembelajaran kewirausahaan yang dikembangkan melalui unit produksi adalah: produksi luar dan produksi dalam, dan kantin mobil. Evaluasi dan monitoring dilakukan melalui dua cara, dengan monitoring kinerja dan produk. PRAXIS OF ENTREPRENEURSHIP LEARNING IN THE CATERING SERVICES PRODUCTION UNITAbstractThe Praxis of Entrepreneurship Learning in the Food services Production Unit. This study aims to investigate teachers' concepts of entrepreneurship learning, entrepreneurship competencies developed in the production unit, and entrepreneurship learning processes in the production unit of food services in SMK Negeri 6 Yogyakarta. This study employed the qualitative case study. The research subjects were the principal, head of the study program, head of the production unit, and students. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The collected data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman model consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion. The result shows that: (1) Entrepreneurship learning needs hands-on-experiences-based; (2) the entrepreneurship competency developed through the production unit includes a) entrepreneurship knowledge, consisting of self-knowledge and practical knowledge, b) entrepreneurship attitudes, consisting of work ethos, autonomy, discipline, creativity, and innovativeness, and c) entrepreneurship skills, consisting of: technical skill, human relations skill, conceptual skill, decision making skill, time management skill, and leadership skill; (3) no instructional standard employed in to develop entrepreneurship in production unit. There are three entrepreneurship learning models employed in the production unit: inside production, outside production, and mobile canteen. The learning outcome is measured in two ways, i.e. performance and product monitoring. Meanwhile, evaluation of the students' learning progress is conducted by using profit-based evaluation.

Abstract

Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengembangkan model tes minat dan bakat dengan metode jaringan syaraf tiruan; (2) memperoleh hasil uji fungsionalitas tes minat dan bakat yang dikembangkan dengan model Jaringan Syaraf Tiruan (JST); dan (3) memperoleh hasil unjuk kerja dari pengujian tes minat dan bakat dengan model jaringan syaraf tiruan untuk memprediksi potensi siswa bidang robotika. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan. Subjek uji coba dibagi menjadi dua, uji coba secara terbatas pada 10 siswa dan uji coba secara luas sebanyak 31 siswa. Hasil dari penelitian pengembangan ini adalah: (1) keberhasilan produk yang dikembangkan dengan beberapa spesifikasi model yaitu; (a) JST dibangun dengan struktur single layer, jawaban tes sebagai masukan dan kesimpulan hasil tes sebagai keluaran; (b) Model pembelajaran JST menggunakan metode perceptron dengan model aktifasi pada JST menggunakan model bipolar (symmetric hard limit); (2) Proses pembelajaran secara terbimbing dengan 10 pola mendapatkan bobot yang dapat membedakan 10 pola dengan tepat, berdasar pengujian secara terbalik. (3) Pengujian secara luas menunjukan produk yang dibangun mampu memprediksi potensi siswa dalam bidang robotika, dengan membedakan 31 pola hasil tes siswa yang berbeda dengan menggunakan bobot yang didapat dari 10 pola pembelajaran. DEVELOPING INTEREST AND TALENT TEST USING ARTIFICIAL NEURAL NETWORK (ANN) TO PREDICT STUDENTS' APTITUDE IN ROBOTICSAbstractThis investigation was aimed: (1) to develop the model of interest and talent test using ANN; (2) to obtain the results of functionality examination of interest and talent test which is developed using ANN; and (3) to obtain the results of the performance from the examination of interest and talent test which is developed using ANN to predict students' aptitude in robotics. This study was a research and development. Subjects were divided into two trials, limited trial was given to 10 trainee students, and wider trial was tested on the 31 students. From the analysis, it can be concluded that: (1) the success of the products developed had some model specifications as follows; (a) ANN was built with a single-layered structure, the answers to the test was the input and the conclusion of the test was as output. (b) ANN learning model used a neural network perceptron method with activation of the ANN using bipolar model (symmetric hard limit). (2) The learning process was guided by the 10 patterns that could be weighted appropriately to distinguish 10 patterns, based on testing in reverse. (3) Extensive testing showed the developed product was able to predict the aptitude of students in the field of robotics, by distinguishing 31 different student examination result pattern using the weights obtained from the 10 patterns of learning.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui perbedaan motivasi dan prestasi belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran KKPI antara siswa yang menggunakan model face-to-face learning dan siswa yang menggunakan model blended learning, peningkatan motivasi dan prestasi belajar siswa dalam mata pelajaran KKPI akibat penerapan model blended learning, dan interaksi pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran dan motivasi terhadap prestasi belajar KKPI siswa SMKN 1 Paringin. Penelitian kuasi eksperimen ini menggunakan dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok eksperimen yang menggunakan model blended learning dan kelompok kontrol yang menggunakan model face-to-face learning. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI SMKN 1 Paringin. Sampel penelitian berjumlah 57 siswa terbagi atas 30 siswa kelompok kontrol dan 27 siswa kelompok eksperimen. Pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner dan tes soal pilihan ganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara motivasi dan prestasi belajar siswa yang menggunakan model blended learning dan siswa yang menggunakan model face-to-face learning, ada peningkatan motivasi dan prestasi belajar siswa yang signifikan akibat penerapan model blended learning, dan tidak terdapat interaksi pengaruh penerapan model pembelajaran dan motivasi terhadap prestasi belajar siswa. THE INFLUENCE OF BLENDED LEARNING MODEL ON MOTIVATION AND ACHIEVEMENT OF VOCATIONAL SCHOOL STUDENTAbstractThe objective of the study is to reveal the differences of the learning motivation and achievement of the students using face-to-face learning model compared to those using blended learning model, the improvement of students' learning motivation and achievement due to the use of blended learning model, and the interaction of the effect of learning model and motivation on students' learning achievement in KKPI lesson. This quasi-experimental study used two groups: the experimental group who were taught using blended learning and control group who were taught using face-to-face learning. The population was 11th grade students of SMKN 1 Paringin. A sample of 57 students was divided into 2 groups, with 30 students as the control group and 27 students as the experimental group. The techniques for collecting the data were a test method by giving a written test and non-testing method by distributing a questionnaire. The results of study show that there is significant difference between the learning motivation and achievement of the students using face-to-face learning compared to those using blended learning model, there is a significant increase in learning motivation and achievement due to the use of blended learning model, and there is no interaction of the effect of learning model and motivation on students' learning achievement in KKPI lesson.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat pemenuhan standar sarana dan prasarana praktik paket keahlian Teknik Komputer dan Jaringan (TKJ) di SMK Kabupaten Sukoharjo berdasarkan Permendiknas Nomor 40 tahun 2008. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian evaluasi program dengan model evaluasi kesenjangan. Pendekatan yang digunakan yaitu deskriptif kuantitatif dengan analisis persentase. Objek dalam penelitian ini adalah sarana dan prasarana praktik paket keahlian TKJ pada 16 SMK di Kabupaten Sukoharjo. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah dokumentasi, observasi dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) tingkat pemenuhan sarana dan prasarana pada area kerja teknik mekanik elektro belum memenuhi standar; (2) tingkat pemenuhan sarana dan prasarana pada ruang praktik instalasi jaringan belum memenuhi standar; (3) tingkat pemenuhan sarana dan prasarana pada area perbaikan dan perawatan komputer belum memenuhi standar; dan (4) tingkat pemenuhan sarana dan prasarana ruang penyimpanan dan instruktur belum memenuhi standar. Kata kunci: evaluasi, pemenuhan standar, sarana praktik, prasarana praktik AN EVALUATION OF THE PRACTICE FACILITIES AND INFRASTRUCTURES OF COMPUTER AND NETWORK ENGINEERING OF VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN SUKOHARJO REGENCYAbstractThis study aimed to find out standard practice facilities infrastructures compliance level of Computer Engineering and Network package of Vocational High School in Sukoharjo Regency based on Permendiknas no 40 of 2008. This study was program evaluation using discrepancy evaluation model. The approach used was quantitative descriptive, with data analysis of the percentage. The objects of this study were the practice facilities and infrastructures of Computer Engineering and Network competence package of SMK in Sukoharjo Regency. The Data collection techniques used in this research were documentations, observations and interviews. Data analysis techniques in this study used descriptive statistics. The study result showed that: (1) the facilities infrastructures compliance level of electro mechanical engineering in work area did not meet the standards; (2) the facilities infrastructures compliance level of practice room did not meet the standards; (3) the facilities infrastructures compliance level of computer repair and treatment did not meet the standards; and (4) the facilities infrastructures compliance level of storage room and instructors’ room did not meet the standards

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui: (1) Efektivitas pembelajaran ilmu resep di SMK bidang keahlian farmasi di Kabupaten Cilacap, dan (2) Pengaruh kompetensi profesional guru, pengelolaan kelas dan sarana prasarana pembelajaran dengan efektivitas pembelajaran ilmu resep pada siswa SMK bidang keahlian farmasi di Kabupaten Cilacap. Populasi seluruh siswa SMK bidang keahlian farmasi kelas XI di kabupaten Cilacap. Pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dengan model skala likert dan rating scale. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis deskriptif, analisis regresi sederhana dan analisis regresi ganda pada taraf signifikansi 5%. Hasil analisis deskriptif menunjukkan bahwa efektifitas pembelajaran ilmu resep di SMK bidang keahlian farmasi di Kabupaten Cilacap berada pada kategori sangat baik. Hasil analisis regresi ganda menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang positif secara bersama-sama kompetensi profesional guru, pengelolaan kelas dan sarana prasarana pembelajaran terhadap efektivitas pembelajaran ilmu resep di SMK bidang keahlian farmasi di Kabupaten Cilacap dengan koefisien korelasi 0,521 dengan Fhitung=15,497 dan sumbangan efektif 27,1%. THE EFFECTIVENESS OF PRESCRIBING SCIENCE LEARNING AT PHARMACY SKILL PROGRAM OF VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL IN CILACAP REGENCYAbstractThis study aims to reveal: (1) the effectiveness of prescribing science learning at pharmacy skill program of vocational high school in Cilacap Regency, and (2) the effect of teacher's professional competency, class management and educational facilities and infrastructures on the effectiveness of prescribing science learning at pharmacy skill program of vocational high school in Cilacap Regency. The population is all grade XI students of the pharmacy skill program of vocational high schools in Cilacap Regency. The data were collected by means of questionnaires with the Likertscale model and rating scale. The data were analyzed using the descriptive, simple regression, and multiple regression analysis at a significance level of 5%. The results of the descriptive analysis show that the effectiveness of perscribing science learning at pharmacy skill program of vocational high school in Cilacap Regency is in the very good category. The result of the multiple regression analysis shows that there is a positive and significant effect of the teacher's professional competency, class management and educational facilities and infrastructures as an aggregate on the effectiveness of prescribing science learning at pharmacy skill program of vocational high school in Cilacap Regency with a correlation coefficient of 0.521 with Fobserved= 15.497 and an effective contribution of 27.1%.

Abstract

Salah satu permasalahan krusial yang dihadapi pendidikan kejuruan adalah kompetensi lulusan yang belum sesuai dengan kriteria kualifikasi kemampuan peserta didik menurut standar yang ditentukan. Sejumlah kendala faktual antara lain banyak SMK yang belum memiliki training center, yang memungkinkan siswa SMK dapat melakukan praktik kerja industri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: (1) mengetahui faktor-faktor penghambat pelaksanaan kerja Unit Produksi; (2) menghasilkan model manajemen Unit Produksi yang layak untuk diterapkan; dan (3) mengetahui kelayakan model manajemen Unit Produksi SMK. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode research and development yang terdiri dari tiga tahap: penelitian dan pengumpulan informasi, perencanaan model, dan pengembangan model. Penelitian dilakukan di SMK Negeri 1 Depok, SMK Negeri 2 Godean, SMK Karya Rini, dan SMK Muhammadiyah Berbah. Pengumpulan data penelitian menggunakan wawancara mendalam dan observasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) pelaksanaan manajemen Unit Produksi SMK program studi Tata Busana masih terdapat beberapa kendala; (2) menghasilkan model manajemen Unit Produksi yang layak untuk diterapkan di SMK Program Studi Keahlian Tata Busana yang terdiri dari dua komponen, yakni Unit Produksi sebagai sumber belajar dan Unit Produksi sebagai sumber pendanaan.; dan (3) hasil uji internal yang dilakukan terhadap pengelola SMK yang terdiri dari SMK Negeri 1 Depok, SMK Negeri 2 Godean, SMK Karya Rini, dan SMK Muhammadiyah Berbah menyimpulkan bahwa sebesar 85 % setuju bahwa model ini efektif jika diimplementasikan. Kata kunci: pengembangan model, manajemen, Unit Produksi SMK THE DEVELOPMENT OF PRODUCTION UNIT MANAGEMENT MODEL OF CLOTHING DESIGN STUDY PROGRAM AT VOCATIONAL HIGH SCHOOLS IN SLEMAN REGENCY Abstract One of the crucial problems faced by vocational education was that the graducate compentencies had not match the qualification criteria of the student's ability based on the predetermined standards. Among the factual constraints was that many vocational high schools (SMK) had not possessed a training center which would enable the students to conduct industrial work practice. This study aimed to: (1) determine the factors inhibiting the implementation of the function of the Production Unit; (2) yield production unit management model appropriate to apply; and (3) determine the appropriateness of the production unit management model at SMK. This was a research and development study consisting of three stages: research and information collection, model planning, and model development. The study was conducted in SMK Negeri 1 Depok, SMK 2 Godean, Karya Rini Vocational School, and SMK Muhammadiyah Berbah. The research data were collected using in-depth interviews and observation. The results showed that: (1) the implementation of the production unit management clothing design study program still faced some obstacles; (2) the research generated a management model that deserved to be applied in the clothing design study program. The model suggested two components: a production unit as a source of learning and a production unit as a source of funding; and (3) the result of the internal try-out conducted on the management of vocational high schools consisting of SMK Negeri 1 Depok, SMK 2 Godean, SMK Karya Rini, and SMK Muhammadiyah Berbah concluded that 85% of the management agreed that this model would be effective if it was implemented. Abstract

This paper outlines a system requirement of proposed e-learning design for English course particularly in academic writing. However, the system requirement is focused on functional requirement. Therefore, it is necessary to carry out an intensive interaction involving systems analysts and end-users to obtain the appropriate learning materials needed by the engineering students. The instrument of this research is interview and questionnaire. The former was elaborated by the English teachers, while the latter was collected from engineering students at Politeknik Kota Malang. The data collection is analyzed using Kano's method. The research findings indicates that the functional requirement consists of 3 parts: 1) academic writing, 2) quizzes, and 3) writing template. The academic writing is focused on how to write abstract. Meanwhile, the quizzes cover grammar, paraphrasing, and abstract organization. This application comes with an abstract template as well, which can be downloaded and printed as required affiliation.

Abstract

The study was to: (1) produce a practicum learning model that might be applied by the lecturers of Automotive Engineering Education Program as the center of Light Vehicle Engineering (LVE) Study Program prospective teachers in the vocational high schools (VHS); (2) identify the automotive industry-oriented competence aspects in practicum learning needed by the LVE Study Program prospective teachers in the VHS; (3) identify the degree of implementatibility of the practicum learning model that had been developed for the LVE Study program prospective teachers in the VHS; and (4) identify the effectiveness degree of the practicum learning model that had been developed for the LVE Study Program prospective teachers in the VHS. The model development in the study referred to the research and development model proposed by Richey and Klein. The research subjects were the students of Automotive Engineering Education Study Program Muhammadiyah University Purworejo. Then, the research objects were Toyota Magelang Company, the Daihatsu Armada Company and the Ultratune Company Gadjah Mada University. The results of the study show that: (1) the competency aspects developed in the P2BI Model for the students who refer the LVE Study Program prospective teachers include the affective aspect, the cognitive aspect and the psychomotor aspect; (2) the improvement of the affective, the cognitive and the psychomotor aspect has met the "Very Good" criteria; (3) the students' activities in the implementation of the P2BI Model Stages have been very good; and (4) the students' responses toward the P2BI Learning Model have been very positive.Keywords: learning model, practicum learning, LVE Study Program prospective teachers PENGEMBANGAN MODEL PEMBELAJARAN PRAKTIK BERBASIS INDUSTRIAbstrakTujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk: (1) menghasilkan model pembelajaran praktik yang dapat diterapkan oleh dosen pendidikan teknik otomotif sebagai penghasil calon guru SMK Program Keahlian Teknik Otomotif (PKTO), dan (2) mengetahui aspek-aspek kompetensi pada pembelajaran praktik yang dibutuhkan calon guru SMK PKTO. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Teknik Otomotif Universitas Muhammadiyah Purworejo. Objek penelitian di PT. Toyota Magelang, PT. Daihastu Armada dan PT. Ultratune UGM. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut. (1) Aspek-aspek kompetensi yang dikembangkan pada model P2BI bagi mahasiswa calon guru SMK PKTO adalah aspek sikap,aspek pengetahuan dan aspek ketrampilan. (2) Peningkatan aspek sikap, pengetahuan dan ketrampilan dengan kriteria sangat baik. Abstract

This article aims to reveal the factual basis regarding the implementation of Students Industrial Training (SIT) course by the bachelor’s degree students of Hospitality Management Department from the Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality at the University. The methodology used in this study is mixed method with CSE-UCLA evaluation model. The informants in this study were 35 hospitality management students who were graduated in 2015, the SIT Coordinators, Heads of Tourism Departments, and Supervisors, Managers, Industrial Supervisors, senior staffs, and assistance from the Hotel Food and Beverage department. Data of this research were gathered through observation, questionnaires, and interviews. Those data were analyzed by using descriptive statistics technique. The results showed the average score of the need assessment evaluation component was 4.2 (good), program planning was 4.14 (good), formative evaluation was 4.04 (good), and summative evaluation was 3.98 (enough). This Students Industrial Training Program can be continued by improving the students’ knowledge, working skills, and English skills, as well as improving the role of supervisors and instructors/ industrial supervisors in monitoring and providing solutions for the students to overcome problems they faced. Furthermore, this training program needed to improve the quality and quantity of relevant campus facilities and infrastructure to the hospitality industry, and increasing the positive attitude of the students in carrying out the industrial training course.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) menghasilkan produk multimedia interaktif pada Kompetensi Dasar Mengoperasikan Software Basis Data, (2) mengetahui kelayakan produk multimedia interaktif tersebut, (3) mengetahui keefektifan pembelajaran dengan multimedia interaktif yang dikembangkan dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran tanpa multimedia interaktif tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian dan pengembangan berdasarkan model Alessi & Trollip yang pelaksanaan uji coba keefektifannya menggunakan quasi eksperimen. Data yang dikumpulkan meliputi kualitas produk pengembangan dan hasil belajar. Analisis data dilakukan dengan statistik deskriptif, inferensial menggunakan uji t, serta ukuran pengaruh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) produk yang dihasilkan adalah multimedia interaktif berupa simulasi software basis data, (2) hasil tes alfa dan tes beta menunjukkan bahwa produk yang dikembangkan mempunyai kualitas baik sehingga layak untuk uji coba, (3) pembelajaran dengan multimedia interaktif yang dikembangkan lebih efektif dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran tanpa multimedia interaktif tersebut. DEVELOPING OPERATING DATABASE SOFTWARE BASIC COMPETENCY INTERACTIVE MULTIMEDIA FOR SMK NEGERI 1 SEYEGANAbstractThis study aims to (1) produce an interactive multimedia on Operating Database Software Basic Competency, (2) find out the quality of the product, (3) find out the effectiveness of learning using the developed product compared to learning without using it. This study was a research and development study based on Alessi & Trollip model in which the effectiveness tryout employed a quasi-experiment. The collected data consisted of those on the quality of the developed product and students' learning outcome. The data were analyzed by means of the descriptive statistics, inferential statistics using t-test, and effect size. The results of the study shows that: (1) the developed product is an interactive multimedia which is a database software simulation, (2) the results of alpha and beta tests show that the developed product has a good quality so that it is appropriate for the tryout, (3) learning using the developed product is more effective than that without using it.
