Hypertension is a non-communicable disease characterized by elevated blood pressure above normal values and is often accompanied by sleep quality disturbances. Poor sleep quality can worsen hypertension by increasing sympathetic nervous system activity and physiological stress. Therefore, in addition to pharmacological therapy, safe, easy-to-apply, and effective non-pharmacological interventions are needed to improve sleep quality in hypertensive patients. One such non-pharmacological intervention is murottal therapy, which involves listening to recitations of the Holy Qur’an and provides relaxation and psychological calmness. This study aimed to determine the effect of murottal therapy on sleep quality in hypertensive patients at Kajen Regional Hospital, Pekalongan Regency. The research method used was a pre-experimental design with a one-group pre-test and post-test approach without a control group. The study subjects consisted of five patients who met the inclusion criteria. Sleep quality was measured before and after the intervention using the Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI). The murottal therapy intervention involved listening to the recitation of Surah Ar-Rahman for 15–30 minutes per day for three consecutive days. The results showed that all respondents experienced a decrease in PSQI scores, indicating an improvement in sleep quality after receiving murottal therapy. Murottal therapy was proven to have a positive effect as a non-pharmacological complementary therapy for hypertensive patients with sleep quality disturbances

Supplementary feeding (SF) plays an important role in improving the nutritional status of children and vulnerable groups. The success of the supplementary feeding program is influenced not only by medical factors but also by cultural values and maternal social support. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between cultural values and maternal social support with supplementary feeding practices in Wringinjajar Village, Demak Regency. This study employed a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. A total of 142 respondents were included using a total sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using Spearman’s rho test. The results showed a moderate relationship between cultural values and supplementary feeding practices (ρ < 0.05) and a weak relationship between maternal social support and supplementary feeding practices (ρ < 0.05). In conclusion, positive cultural values and adequate maternal social support are associated with more appropriate supplementary feeding practices for children.

This study aimed to examine the relationship between anxiety levels and academic achievement among twelfth-grade students at SMA Negeri 1 Mranggen. A correlational research design with a cross-sectional approach was employed, involving 298 students selected through purposive sampling. Data on anxiety levels and academic achievement were collected using validated questionnaires and school report scores, and analyzed using Chi-Square statistical tests. The results indicated that the majority of students experienced moderate anxiety, while a smaller proportion exhibited high or low anxiety levels. Academic achievement was predominantly in category C, followed by B, with few students attaining category A or D. Chi-Square analysis revealed a significant relationship between anxiety and academic performance (p < 0.001), suggesting that higher anxiety levels were associated with lower academic achievement, whereas lower anxiety levels corresponded to better performance. The findings highlight the critical role of anxiety management in supporting students’ learning outcomes and underscore the importance of psychological interventions to enhance academic success in high school settings.

Scabies is a contagious skin disease caused by infestation of the mite Sarcoptes scabiei and commonly occurs in densely populated environments such as Islamic boarding schools. Poor personal hygiene behavior is a major risk factor that facilitates the transmission of scabies. Miftahul Huda Islamic Boarding School in Kendal reported a high number of skin disease complaints over the past three months, indicating the need for health interventions in the form of personal hygiene education to prevent and reduce scabies symptoms among students. To determine the effect of personal hygiene education on scabies symptoms among students at Miftahul Huda Islamic Boarding School, Kendal. This study employed a quasi-experimental design with a one-group pre-test post-test approach. A total of 27 students were selected using simple random sampling. Data were collected using an 8-item scabies symptom questionnaire. Data analysis included descriptive analysis, Kolmogorov–Smirnov and Shapiro–Wilk normality tests, and the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test due to non-normal data distribution. The mean scabies symptom score before the intervention was 7.85 and decreased to 0.00 after the personal hygiene education. The Wilcoxon test showed a Z value of −4.916 with a p-value of 0.000 (p < 0.05). Personal hygiene education has a significant effect on reducing scabies symptoms among students.

Patients with Acute Coronary Syndrome (ACS) post Percutaneous Coronary Intervention (PCI) often still experience chest pain due to inflammatory processes or psychological factors. Unmanaged pain can increase cardiac workload. The Benson relaxation technique is a non-pharmacological intervention that combines deep breathing techniques with an element of faith (spiritual) to induce a relaxation response. This study aims to determine the effect of the Benson relaxation technique on reducing chest pain levels in ACS patients after PCI at Referral hospitals in Central Java Province. This study used a one-group pretest-posttest design with a sample of 36 respondents selected by purposive sampling. Pain measurement used the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) before and after the intervention. The Benson relaxation technique was administered for 10–15 minutes per session. Data analysis used the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Before the intervention, all respondents (100%) experienced moderate chest pain (mean=5.11). After the intervention, there was a significant reduction, with 61.1% of respondents falling into the mild pain category and 38.9% remaining in the moderate category (mean=3.39). Statistical test results showed a significant difference between pain scores before and after the intervention (Z=-5.500; p=0.000).The Benson relaxation technique is proven effective in reducing chest pain levels in ACS patients post PCI in the Emergency Department

Anemia remains a major public health concern among adolescent girls and may adversely affect physical growth, learning concentration, and future reproductive health. In Indonesia, one of the primary preventive strategies is the school-based iron tablet supplementation program, whose effectiveness is closely related to adolescents’ knowledge and attitudes toward anemia prevention. This study examined the relationship between knowledge and attitudes and anemia prevention efforts among adolescent girls at SMP Negeri 20 Semarang. A quantitative correlational design with a cross-sectional approach was applied, involving 130 adolescent girls selected through total sampling. Data were collected using structured questionnaires measuring knowledge, attitudes, and anemia prevention efforts and were analyzed using the Chi-Square test. The findings demonstrated a significant relationship between knowledge and anemia prevention efforts (p = 0.009) as well as between attitudes and anemia prevention efforts (p = 0.001). Most respondents exhibited good knowledge levels (75.4%) and moderate attitudes (56.9%), while anemia prevention efforts were predominantly categorized as moderate (62.3%). These results indicate that adequate knowledge and positive attitudes contribute substantially to the adoption of anemia prevention behaviors, emphasizing the importance of continuous health education, school-based interventions, and supportive environments to enhance preventive practices among adolescent girls.

The quality of stimulation supplied by parents significantly influences early childhood development, particularly in motor, language, and personal-social domains. Nevertheless, developmental delays are still observed among a proportion of preschool children. This study aims to examine the relationship between parental stimulation and the development of children aged 3-4 years at Kartika Early Childhood Education (PAUD) and 4-6 years at Dharma Wanita Kindergarten in Meteseh Village. This study used a descriptive correlative design with a cross-sectional approach involving 60 respondents selected through a total sampling technique. The instruments used were a questionnaire assessing parental stimulation (35 items) and the Denver Developmental Screening Test (DDST) observation form. Univariate and bivariate analyses were conducted using the Spearman Rank test. The findings indicated that most parents demonstrated good stimulation practices (73.3%), while children’s developmental status was equally distributed between normal and suspect categories (50.0% each). The correlation analysis yielded a p-value of 0.567 and an r-value of 0.075, indicating a positive but very weak and statistically non-significant relationship. This study revealed that there is no significant correlation between parental stimulation and child growth.

Background: Stunting remains a chronic nutritional problem with long-term impacts on children’s growth and development. Stunting prevention efforts are not solely dependent on health interventions but are also strongly influenced by parental attitudes, particularly those of fathers and mothers, regarding nutrition fulfillment, parenting practices, and family health behaviors. Objective: This study aimed to describe the attitudes of fathers and mothers toward stunting prevention efforts. Method: his study employed a descriptive quantitative design. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire administered to parents of children under five years old, with sampling conducted according to the study criteria. Descriptive analysis was used to illustrate respondents’ characteristics and parental attitudes toward stunting prevention. Results: The results indicated that most fathers and mothers demonstrated positive attitudes toward stunting prevention, particularly in nutritional fulfillment and utilization of health services. However, suboptimal attitudes were still identified in several aspects, including consistency in providing balanced nutrition and fathers’ involvement in stunting prevention practices. Conclusion: athers’ and mothers’ attitudes play an important role in stunting prevention efforts. Strengthening health education programs that actively involve both parents is essential to improve awareness and consistency in stunting prevention behaviors within the family.
