Abstract

This research explores the critical role of pricing strategy amid intense business competition, where economic development compels companies to optimize their business approaches. Pricing is a decisive factor influencing company sales volumes; thus, careful decision-making regarding price setting is essential to avoid negative impacts on sales. The study aims to describe the pricing process and analyze strategies used to increase sales volume. A qualitative method was employed, utilizing both primary and secondary data sources, with data collected through field interviews, observation, and documentation, particularly with company leadership. Findings at CV Sejahtera Abadi Jaya show that the company adopts a full cost plus mark-up pricing strategy, considering all production costs to set optimal prices. This approach has proven effective in increasing and maintaining sales volume over a six-month period (January–July), as evidenced by sales data, even though there was no increase in March, demonstrating the company’s ability to sustain consumer interest.

Abstract

The advancement of information technology has transformed the global business landscape, compelling companies to adapt to dynamic digital business models. This shift has a direct impact on human resource management (HRM) strategies, which are a key factor in enhancing organizational performance. This study aims to analyze effective HRM strategies for addressing challenges and leveraging opportunities in the digital business era. The research method employed is a systematic literature review of 25 national and international journals published between 2018 and 2024 that discuss HRM practices in digitally based companies. The findings reveal that effective strategies include developing employees’ digital competencies through upskilling and reskilling programs, implementing data-driven HR analytics for decision-making, fostering a technology-based collaborative work culture, and adopting flexible work systems (remote and hybrid). The application of these strategies has been proven to enhance productivity, innovation, and employee satisfaction, ultimately contributing positively to organizational performance. These findings provide practical implications for managers and HR practitioners in designing HRM policies and programs that are adaptive to technological developments and market demands in the digital era.

Abstract

Purpose:This study aims to investigate the effects of leadership style, work environment, and communication style on employee performance and morale in Digital Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) in Indonesia, as well as to examine the mediating role of job performance in shaping employee morale. Design/methodology/approach: This study adopts a quantitative research design using hypothesis testing. Data were collected through a survey of employees working in Digital SMEs in Indonesia and analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS). The relationships among leadership style, work environment, communication style, employee performance, and employee morale were examined using regression-based statistical analysis. Findings: The results indicate that leadership style, work environment, and communication style have significant positive effects on employee performance and morale. Leadership style emerges as a key determinant, with effective leadership enhancing both employee morale and performance. A supportive work environment improves employee morale and indirectly strengthens performance through job satisfaction. Furthermore, effective communication styles positively influence employee morale and performance. The findings also confirm that job performance mediates the relationship between leadership style, work environment, communication style, and employee morale. Research limitations/implications: This study is limited to Digital SMEs in Indonesia and relies on cross-sectional survey data, which may restrict the generalizability of the results. Future studies are encouraged to apply longitudinal designs, involve larger and more diverse samples, and incorporate additional organizational variables to enrich the analysis. Practical implications:The findings provide practical guidance for leaders and managers of Digital SMEs in designing effective leadership practices, creating supportive work environments, and implementing clear communication strategies to enhance employee morale and performance in digital business settings. Originality/value:This study offers empirical evidence on the interplay between leadership style, work environment, and communication style in influencing employee performance and morale within the context of Digital SMEs in Indonesia, highlighting the mediating role of job performance. Paper type:Empirical research.

Abstract

This study aims to compare the implementation of traditional (manual) and digital financial administration in Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and analyze its impact on the effectiveness of MSME financial management. The method used is a comparative literature review examining ten national and international scientific articles published between 2018 and 2025. The analysis is based on effectiveness indicators such as time efficiency, data accuracy, and report preparation speed. The review results indicate that digital systems have higher effectiveness compared to traditional systems across various indicators. However, the implementation of traditional systems remains dominant among MSMEs, primarily due to limited digital literacy, high initial investment costs, and internet accessibility issues in certain regions. Therefore, the conclusion of this study emphasizes the importance of adopting a hybrid system (combining traditional and digital systems) and improving digital financial literacy. This is crucial to ensure that the MSME financial administration process can run more effectively, efficiently, and sustainably.

Abstract

Background: Using bioethanol as an oxygenate additive in gasoline shows an increasing trend driven by the need for renewable fuels and efforts to mitigate exhaust emissions. Purpose: This study aims to conduct a critical and comprehensive synthesis of the positive and negative impacts of ethanol addition, focusing on engine performance, exhaust emissions, and material compatibility. Design/methodology/approach: The method used was a systematic literature review of primary scientific journals indexed by Scopus and SINTA. Findings: The analysis results show a dualism of impacts: on the one hand, adding ethanol consistently increases engine torque and power and significantly reduces carbon monoxide (CO) and hydrocarbon (HC) emissions. On the other hand, this is offset by the potential for increased fuel consumption due to the lower energy density of ethanol, ambiguous effects on nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions, and the emergence of serious challenges related to corrosion of metal components and degradation of elastomer materials. Implication: These findings imply that adopting ethanol blends requires a holistic approach, including engine design optimization and improved material specifications in fuel systems to ensure long-term durability and safety. Paper type: Literature review

Abstract

Background: Indonesia faces a paradoxical development phenomenon: intense and persistent economic growth, high child poverty rates, and stunting prevalence. The government initiated the Free Nutritious Meals Program (FNMP/ MBG) in response. Purpose: This study aims to analyze the projected multisectoral benefits of the MBG program. The method used is a theoretical qualitative literature review, framed by Human Capital Theory and Justice as Fairness Theory. Design/methodology/approach: A comparative analysis was conducted on school feeding programs in Brazil (PNAE), China (NNIP-RCES), and Japan (Kyūshoku). Findings: The results show that international programs have had a significant impact: PNAE in Brazil has empowered the local farming economy, NNIP-RCES in China has measurably improved academic achievement, and Kyūshoku in Japan has integrated nutrition with character education. Implication: These findings imply that MBG has the potential to be a strategic investment that not only improves nutrition but also enhances educational outcomes, stimulates the local economy, and functions as an instrument of fundamental social justice in Indonesia

Abstract

The digitization of payment systems is an important pillar in accelerating global financial inclusion. In Indonesia, the implementation of the Indonesian Standard QR Code (QRIS) by Bank Indonesia has accelerated the use of cashless payments, particularly in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector. Although the initial adoption rate has increased rapidly, the main challenge lies in the continuance intention of micro-businesses, which are more sensitive to costs, risks, and business margins than other business segments. Previous studies have emphasized the initial adoption aspect, so that retention factors in micro MSMEs have not been explored in depth. This study develops an integrative model that combines Expectancy Theory and the variable of Trust to explain the intention to use QRIS sustainably among micro businesses. Expectancy Theory is used to capture rational motivation based on perceived value and expected outcomes, while Trust is included as a crucial factor given the high perception of digital transaction risk in the micro business segment. This study aims to examine the structural relationship between business expectations, valence, instrumentality, trust, and the intention to continue using QRIS. The research results are expected to contribute to the development of theory through the formulation of a more contextual technology acceptance model for micro-businesses. In practical terms, the findings of this study provide strategic recommendations for regulators and Payment Service Providers (PSPs) in designing interventions to increase the retention and sustainable use of QRIS in the micro-business sector.
