Beginning from Vol. 1 No. 1 (2017), all articles will be published in the English version and Indonesia version. The publication frequency is twice a year in March and October. Abstract

This study aims to create a Technical Drawing learning module suitable for use in the Technical Drawing subject at SMK Negeri 1 Botomuzoi, adhering to predefined criteria. Additionally, the research aims to evaluate the suitability of the created Technical Drawing learning module as a teaching aid in the Technical Drawing subject for Class X students in the BKP Department at SMK Negeri 1 Botomuzoi. The research employs the Borg & Gall development model, simplified by Anik Ghufron, as a Research and Development (R&D) approach. The development procedure consists of four stages: preliminary study, development, field testing, and dissemination. The outcome of this research is a Technical Drawing Learning Module deemed suitable for use as a learning resource in Class X of the BKP Department at SMK Negeri 1 Botomuzoi. Overall, the average evaluations by subject matter experts, media experts, and student feedback indicate positive outcomes.

Abstract

This research is motivated by problems caused by the implementation of the Family Hope Program (PKH) carried out in Simandraolo Village, Gunungsitoli District, Gunungsitoli City has not been implemented properly. This can be seen from several problems, namely: 1). There are still residents of Simandraolo Village who do not receive PKH who should be eligible to receive it. 2). There are families who do not have complete data. 3). There are still families who have not been data or verified data from the Social Service even though it is clear that the specific purpose of PKH is to reduce poverty. The research method used is a descriptive research method with a qualitative approach and with a total of 10 informants. The obstacles found include: 1). Some residents do not have complete data. 2). A small part has never been data by officers from the Social Service. 3). The process of collecting PKH assistance funds requires a distance from Simandraolo Village so that residents have to spend money on transportation. To overcome these various obstacles, the following efforts were made: 1). The Village Head and village officials work together with PKH Facilitators to recollect data if there are residents who have not received PKH who should be eligible to receive PKH. 2). For residents who have incomplete data, village officials facilitate to complete the data. 3). Village assistants or the Social Service always update data. 4). Village assistants routinely conduct home visits and PKH socialization activities. 5). As a community, they must provide original data to the Social Service and use PKH funds specifically for children's health and education.

Abstract

This research was conducted to analyze the effectiveness of the make a match cooperative learning model effective on problem solving skills and mathematics learning outcomes of elementary school students. The data collected is in the form of student ability numbers which are measured by test instruments given before and after treatment. The quantitative data were analyzed using the t test to analyze the comparison of the pretest posttest data and the gain n test to see the increase in students' abilities. The t value of problem solving ability is 19.406 > 1.7108 and the gain value is 0.34007. For the t test the results of learning mathematics are 16.153> 1.7108. In addition, the value of n gain is 0.56652, this shows that cooperative learning of the make a match type is effective for problem solving abilities and students' mathematics learning outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the practicality of the physics learning module using the Reseacrh Based Learning model integrated with soil pollution for Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) students. The type of research is Research & Development (R&D) research with the Ploomp model. The population of this study came from class XI students of MAN 2 Sungai Penuh. The research sample was XI science class of MAN 2 Full River. This research instrument is a test, validation sheet and practicality. Tests are used to determine the competence of knowledge, attitudes and skills of students. Data analysis is quantitative analysis. The results concluded that the validity value of the physics learning module using integrated Research Based Learning on soil pollution the practicality value from students was 84.19 % and the response from teachers was 87.5 %. This finding shows that the physics learning module using the Reseach Based Learning model integrated with soil pollution is very valid and practical to be applied in science learning.

Abstract

The value of democracy is a pattern of beliefs or good things that are used as guidelines for life for the community to realize a democratic life. One of the indicators of democratic values and also the focus of this research is the attitude of respecting opinions. Respect for other people's opinions is an attitude in which a person has respect and is able to accept any differences that exist without seeing who and what other individuals have. Formulation of the problem How is the role of democratic values in respecting the opinions of others in the learning process of civic education. What are the obstacles in instilling democratic values in respecting other people's opinions in the learning process of civic education. The purpose of the research was conducted to determine the role of democratic values in respecting the opinions of others, and to identify obstacles in instilling democratic values in respecting the opinions of others in the learning process of civic education. This research uses qualitative research with a description method. Data collection techniques are interviews, observation, and documentation. The results of the study revealed that the role of democratic values in respecting the opinions of others in the learning process of civic education is: 1) Students uphold other people's opinions, 2) Students heed other people's decisions or opinions, and 3) Students do not consider themselves the most correct. The obstacles in instilling democratic values in respecting the opinions of others in the learning process of civic education are the lack of student motivation in the learning process and ineffective communication between students in expressing opinions.

Abstract

This qualitative descriptive study aims to describe the representation of literal and nonliteral speech acts in the novel "Dear Allah" by Diana Febi. From a theoretical perspective, this research uses a sociopragmatic system or view. While the method or technique of data collection in this research is a documentation study or literature study, in this case, the literature review is in the form of texts contained in the novel Dear Allah by Diana Febi. The novel is the primary data source. Documentation or literature studies are carried out through direct appreciation and rational understanding of the meaning implied in the novel. The results of this study show (1) representative literal speech acts in Diana Febi's novel Dear Allah and (2) representative nonliteral speech acts in Diana Febi's novel Dear Allah. This research makes a scientific contribution, especially in linguistics, on the sociopragmatic aspect so that understanding the implied meaning of a novel can be understood as a whole in terms of social meaning.

Abstract

Effective communication is very important to foster understanding between parties when messages or information are shared. In this situation, Muslims also have an obligation to disseminate information, a process called da'wah. While attending school, communication skills must be trained. It is important to foster students' potential from an early age so that they are successful in public speaking. One way is through extracurricular activities that support da'wah efforts by involving students in muhadharah. To help students at the Ulumul Qur'an Langsa Islamic Boarding School become more comfortable speaking in front of groups, this study examines the teacher's method of doing this. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research method. To collect research data used observation and interviews, as well as the results of previous studies used as support. Based on this research, teachers at the Ulumul Our'an Langsa madrasah used teaching and training techniques to help students hone their public speaking skills. To help students become better and more confident public speakers, teaching is carried out through a process of rote memorization and hands-on practice. In muhadharah activities, the teaching of public speaking is also tested and evaluated directly.

Abstract

Reading comprehension is the process of the reader's mind in constructing meaning of what has been read. In the reality, the students Strategy at the Eighth Grade of SMP Negeri 2 Dharma Caraka Gunungsitoli Selatan have reading comprehension problems. There are also problems faced by students: Students do not understand the meaning of the words in the text, Students cannot find the main ideas in the text, Students forget the text they have read. Based on these problems, this study aims to overcome the problems faced by students and improve students' abilities in reading comprehension by using the RCRR Strategy (Read, Cover, Remember, Retell) in class VIII-B students of SMP Negeri 2 Dharma Caraka in 2022/2023. This research uses Classroom Action Research (CAR) which consists of Planning, Action, Observation, and Reflection. This research was conducted in two cycles consisting of two meetings in each cycle. The results of the research in cycle I showed that there were 18 students who did not complete the MCC out of 32 students and the average student score was 63.12. The lowest score is 40 and the highest is 80. In cycle II all students pass MCC with an average student score of 91.25 with the lowest score 70 and the highest score 100. Based on the research results, the researchers concluded that RCRR (Read, Cover, Remember, Retell) improved students' vocabulary and overcome the students' problem in this research.

Abstract

Penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas delapan dan guru bahasa Inggris. Proses belajar mengajar akan berjalan efektif bila ada interaksi antara guru dan siswa. Interaksi di kelas merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam proses belajar mengajar. Bertanya telah diakui sebagai peralatan guru kelas dan pengajaran mendalam hingga menonjol. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi jenis pertanyaan dasar yang diajukan oleh guru. Metode penelitian menggunakan desain kualitatif deskriptif. Data diperoleh dengan melakukan observasi dan wawancara dengan pendidik dan siswa sebagai responden. Populasi penelitian ini adalah guru dan siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 1 Gido. data di investigasi dengan menerapkan strategi bertanya yang terfokus pada ragam pertanyaan guru. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa seluruh pertanyaan guru ditemukan paling sering digunakan. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat disimpulkan bahwa pertanyaan dari guru lebih dominan dari pada pertanyaan siswa. Saran ditujukan kepada guru bahasa Inggris dan peneliti selanjutnya. Bagi guru bahasa Inggris, di sini peneliti memberikan saran agar strategi yang telah diterapkan dapat dikembangkan oleh guru dan dimungkinkan bagi guru bahasa Inggris untuk menerapkan strategi lain untuk memudahkan siswa dalam belajar .dan untuk peneliti selanjutnya, diharapkan peneliti selanjutnya lebih baik lagi terkait dengan topik penelitian ini.

Abstract

Membaca pemahaman merupakan kegiatan yang dilakukan untuk mendapatkan makna dari hasil membaca sehingga dapat memahami informasi detail yang terkandung dalam bacaan. Ini adalah salah satu tantangan yang dihadapi oleh siswa sekolah menengah pertama dalam memahami makna teks. Mereka memiliki pemahaman bacaan yang buruk sehingga sulit bagi mereka untuk memahami dan menemukan informasi penting yang terkandung dalam sebuah teks. Akibatnya, guru harus menggunakan strategi yang tepat dan efektif untuk membantu siswa memahami teks. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini berfokus pada Question-Answer Relationship (QAR) sebagai strategi pelatihan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman membaca siswa dalam teks deskriptif dan menemukan tanggapan siswa setelah mengimplementasikan QAR dalam kegiatan kelas. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa QAR merupakan strategi yang sangat berguna dan efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman siswa di kelas. Siswa menjadi lebih baik dalam menanggapi pertanyaan pemahaman dalam teks deskriptif. Strategi ini juga mendorong siswa untuk lebih aktif di kelas dan meningkatkan rasa percaya diri siswa untuk menjawab pertanyaan dan membedakan pertanyaan tentang teks yang dibacanya.
