Abstract

Ethical education plays a crucial role in shaping a civilized society. This research aims to design and develop an educational application focusing on three main aspects: family morality, neighborly ethics, and environmental morality. The application is designed to provide a holistic understanding of moral values and ethics that strengthen interpersonal relationships in various social contexts. Firstly, the focus on family morality education provides a profound insight into the importance of values such as understanding, justice, and love in the context of household relationships. The application offers multimedia and interactive resources that support the learning of children and parents to create a harmonious family environment. Secondly, in the development of neighborly ethics, the application emphasizes solidarity, tolerance, and mutual respect among members of the local community. Through engaging lesson modules, users are encouraged to understand their role in fostering good neighborly relations and contributing to the formation of a better community. Lastly, the application explores the concept of environmental morality, highlighting the significance of sustainability and social responsibility towards nature. The educational modules provide practical information and actions to motivate users in preserving their surroundings, promoting environmentally friendly behaviors, and supporting sustainability initiatives. Utilizing modern technology, this application offers an interactive and engaging approach to help society comprehend and internalize ethical values in everyday life. It is hoped that the implementation of this application can positively contribute to character formation and have a beneficial impact on the harmony levels within families, neighborhoods, and the surrounding environment.

Abstract

This research examines the historical development of the philosophy of education and science during the Greek and Islamic periods, two historical epochs that significantly influenced the evolution of thought and the conception of science. In classical Greek times, philosophers such as Plato and Aristotle contributed profound thoughts regarding education and science. The primary focus was on exploring the fundamental concepts of education, character formation, and the development of scientific thought. A shift in intellectual focus occurred during the Islamic Golden Age, where Greek knowledge was inherited and enriched by Muslim scholars such as Ibn Sina and Ibn Khaldun. Islamic thought played a crucial role in integrating philosophy, education, and science, with the application of scientific methods, rationality, and ethics as integral parts of the educational approach. This research employs a historical analysis method to trace the development of ideas and major contributions of figures in both periods. The results of the study highlight the evolution of education and science concepts from classical Greece to the Islamic era, indicating a transfer of intellectual ideas and values that laid the foundation for the development of modern science and education. It is hoped that a profound understanding of the history of the development of the philosophy of education and science in both periods can provide critical insights into the roots of thought and values that form the basis for contemporary science and education.

Abstract

This research explores the characteristics of Islamic character education and methods of character development in the perspective of Imam Al-Ghazali. Imam Al-Ghazali, a prominent scholar and Islamic thinker, contributed significantly to the development of Islamic character within the educational context. The primary focus of this study is to analyze key characteristics of Islamic character education according to Imam Al-Ghazali's perspective and the methods he advocated for building strong character. The research methodology employed content analysis of Imam Al-Ghazali's works, encompassing his views on character education within Islamic teachings. Identified characteristics of character education involve aspects such as morality, integrity, and social responsibility. Furthermore, the study delves into specific methods proposed by Imam Al-Ghazali for nurturing Islamic character. His philosophy emphasizes a holistic approach that encompasses both formal and non-formal educational dimensions, along with spiritual practices in daily life. This research is expected to provide in-depth insights into Imam Al-Ghazali's views on Islamic character education, offer a deeper understanding of the values he aimed to instill, and provide practical guidance for educators interested in implementing these character development methods in the context of modern education.

Abstract

Persoalan budaya dan karakter merupakan titik terang dan topik hangat dalam dunia pendidikan saat ini. Sorotan ini dapat ditemukan dalam banyak teks di berbagai media massa Hilangnya moralitas di negeri ini, terutama di kalangan remaja, disebabkan oleh kurangnya pendidikan budaya dan karakter, yang ditekankan baik dalam pendidikan formal maupun non-formal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini, hanyalah untuk mengetahui pada adanya pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia, untuk mengatahui terhadap penguatan karakter mahasiswa program studi akidah filsafat UIN Sunan Kalijaga Yogyakarta. Metode penelitian ini, menggunakan kualitatif kualitatif, yaitu meneliti suatu objek tertentu dengan tujuan untuk membuat deskripsi, gambaran, atau lukisan secara sistematis dan objektif mengenai fakta-fakta, sifat-sifat, karakteristik, serta hubungan antara unsur-unsur yang ada atau fenomena tertentu secara menyeluruh dan mendalam mengenai realitas sosial serta berbagai fenomena yang terjadi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah dosen pengampu mata kuliah Bahasa Indonesia dan mahasiswa yang mengambil mata kuliah Bahasa Indonesia. Hasil bahwa pendidikan karakter sudah diintegrasikan dalam pembelajaran mata kuliah bahasa Indonesia, baik dalam perencanaan, pelaksanaan maupun penilaian. Pada tahap perencanaan pembelajaran, dosen bahasa Indonesia sudah mencantumkan nilai-nilai karakter yang akan diimplementasikan dalam pembelajaran pada silabus dan RPS. Pelaksanaan pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia sudah mengimplementasikan nilainilai karakter yang terdapat dalam rencana pembelajaran dengan materi pembelajaran bahasa Indonesia mencakup empat kompetensi, yaitu kompetensi menyimak, berbicara, membaca, dan menulis. Abstract

The numeracy abilities in the AKM results for class V students at SD Negeri 101 Palembang are classified as below the set standards. Because students do not understand the AKM numeracy questions at the level of knowing, applying and reasoning. students are not yet adept at doing numeracy questions. Fulfillment of infrastructure for working on numeracy questions, especially inadequate IT. The aim of the research is to analyze the numeracy abilities of class V students at SDN 101 PLG in terms of perceptions of Creating, Applying and Reasoning as well as analyzing the level of students' numeracy abilities. The method used is descriptive with a quantitative approach. Research with a quantitative approach, pressure analysis on numerical data (numbers) which is then analyzed using appropriate statistical methods. The sample consisted of 30 fifth grade students and data analysis used the SPSS program. The numeracy abilities of class V students at SD Negeri 101 Palembang are mostly obtained based on the results of calculations between the students' average scores and the standard deviation of the data, then the results will be determined based on norm references. At the knowledge question level, for the "high" category there were 2 students or 6.67%, for the "medium" category there were 13 students or 43.33% and for the "low" category there were 15 students or 50%. At the application question level for the "high" category there were 3 students or 10% for the "medium" category there were 14 students or 46.67% and there were 13 students or 43.33% for the "low" category. At the level of reasoning questions for the "high" category there were 3 students or 10%, for the "medium" category there were 14 students or 50% and for the "low" category there were 12 students or 40%. The results of the overall numeracy ability test assessment show that the numeracy ability of students in the "high" category is 6 students or 20%, in the "medium" category is 18 students or 60% and in the "low" category is 6 students or 20%. So it can be concluded that the majority of students at SD Negeri 101 Palembang have a medium numeracy ability category.Keywords: Numeracy, Numeracy Ability, AKM ABSTRAKKemampuan numerasi pada hasil AKM pada siswa kelas V di SD Negeri 101 Palembang tergolong dibawah standar yang di tetapkan. Dikarenakan siswa kurang memahami soal AKM numerasi level knowing, applying dan reasoning. siswa belum terlatih mengerjakan soal – soal numerasi. Pemenuhan sarana prasaranan mengerjakan soal – soal numerasi, terutama IT yang belum memadai. Tujuan dari penelitian untuk menganalisis kemampuan numerasi siswa kelas V SDN 101 PLG ditinjau dari persepsi Knowing, Applying dan Reasoning serta menganalisis tingkat kemampuan numerasi siswa. Metode yang digunakan ialah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Penelitian dengan pendekatan kuantitatif menekankan analisis pada data numerik (angka) yang kemudian dianalisis dengan metode statistik yang sesuai. Sampel sejumlah 30 siswa kelas V dan analisis data menggunakan program SPSS. Kemampuan numerasi siswa kelas V SD Negeri 101 Palembang yang mayoritas sedang diperoleh berdasarkan hasil hitung antara nilai rata-rata siswa dengan standar deviasi data kemudian hasilnya akan dikategorikan berdasarkan acuan norma. Pada level soal knowing untuk kategori “tinggi” terdapat 2 siswa atau 6,67% untuk kategori “sedang” terdapat 13 siswa atau 43,33% dan untuk kategori “rendah” terdapat 15 siswa atau 50%. Pada level soal applying untuk kategori “tinggi” terdapat 3 siswa atau 10% untuk kategori “sedang” terdapat 14 siswa atau 46,67% dan terdapat 13 siswa atau 43,33% untuk kategori “rendah”. Pada level soal reasoning untuk kategori “tinggi” terdapat 3 siswa atau 10% untuk kategori “sedang” terdapat 14 siswa atau 50% dan untuk kategori “rendah” terdapat 12 siswa atau 40%. Hasil penilaian tes kemampuan numerasi secara keseluruhan menunjukkaan bahwa, kemampuan numerasi siswa untuk kategori “tinggi” sebanyak 6 siswa atau sebesar 20% kategori “sedang” sebanyak 18 siswa atau 60% dan kategori “rendah” sebanyak 6 siswa atau 20%. Sehingga, dapat disimpulkan bahwa mayoritas siswa SD Negeri 101 Palembang memiliki kategori kemampuan numerasi sedang. Kata Kunci: Numerasi, Kemampuan Numerasi, AKM

Abstract

This research aims to analyse the level of students' grammar mastery in tenses at SMK Sinar Husni Medan. The study focuses on evaluating students' proficiency in understanding and applying grammatical tenses, a crucial aspect of language learning. The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data through assessments and qualitative insights gathered from interviews and observations. The sample comprises twelfth grade students in SMK Sinar Husni Medan. Data was collected from tests, classroom observations, and interviews with both students and teachers. Qualitative data are gathered through classroom observations and interviews with students and teachers. Observations focus on instructional methods, classroom dynamics, and students' engagement with grammar-related activities. Interviews with students explore their perceptions in learning grammar, while teacher interviews provide insights into the teaching methodologies employed. The findings of this research contribute to the knowledge on language education, specifically in the context of grammar mastery in tenses. The results can inform educators about the effectiveness of current teaching methods. Additionally, the study may shed light on individual and contextual factors influencing students' grammar proficiency, thus providing valuable insights for future language education strategies. Ultimately, this research aims to enhance the quality of language education at SMK Sinar Husni Medan and contribute to the broader discourse on effective language teaching and learning strategies.

Abstract

This paper examines the implications of implementing the Hannafin and Pack learning model on student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education learning at SDN Sukamantri, Cileunyi District, Bandung Regency. The learning model is one of the key factors for teacher success in improving student learning outcomes. Therefore, every teacher is required to be able to develop the Hannafin and Pack learning model in Islamic Religious Education learning so that students' level of development, knowledge, and learning outcomes increase. This research uses descriptive methods and a quantitative approach. The technique and collection of the data sources refer to the results of empirical observations, interviews with respondents, and relevant book reviews. The results of this research show that the application of the Hannafin and Pack learning model has proven to have positive implications for increasing student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education subjects at SDN Sukamantri, Cileunyi District, Bandung Regency with a learning outcome level of 87% (good category). The implication of this research is every teacher needs to use various models, strategies, methods, approaches and learning techniques in Islamic Religious Education subjects so that student learning outcomes increase.

Abstract

The British accent, spoken by individuals from the United Kingdom (UK), comes in various forms. "Bring Me The Horizon" is a renowned British band featuring British musicians who employ diverse British accents. This study aims to identify the prevalent British accent utilized by Oliver Sykes and Jordan Fish and to assess students' perceptions of the British accent spoken in the video, with the goal of facilitating their English language learning. The researcher used a descriptive qualitative research in order to gain the data.The researcher used an article from ‘Accent Bias Britain’ and was guided by a native speaker from UK in order to validate the data. The participants in this study included four students who had viewed the video. The data collection instruments comprised the video itself, transcripts of the dialogue, and an article sourced from Accent Bias Britain.. Abstract

In an era of education that continues to develop, the role of the Driving Teacher lies not only in delivering lesson material but also in efforts to create a sustainable and environmentally oriented learning experience. The Merdeka Mengajar Platform (PMM) is a technology platform that accommodates motivating teachers to obtain references, inspiration, and understanding of the independent curriculum. Implementing the Merdeka Mengajar Platform has several areas for improvement, especially related to gaps in technological understanding. Driving teachers, especially in Jakarta, may need help with mastering the features provided by the platform. Based on the research results obtained in the field, the factors that hinder teachers from using PMM for environmental education in schools are time management, limitations in using technology, and workload. The Activator Teacher's process in applying Environmental Education material sourced from PMM is applying material obtained from PMM in the teaching and learning process in the classroom. Meanwhile, the obstacles to Mobilizing Teachers to carry out actual environmental education actions sourced from PMM are limited interaction in online learning and the need for access to natural resources and the school environment.

Abstract

The SPA business is proliferating in Indonesia, almost every city in Indonesia has SPA prostitution. The existence of SPA prostitution violates the regulations of the Tourism Law. However, the SPA prostitution business actors know strategies on how to keep their business running, including during the COVID-19 pandemic. The type of research used by researchers in this research is qualitative research. This research was conducted in 2022 in the Jabodetabek nodal area. The type of sampling used by researchers in this research is non-probability sampling because not everyone in this study can be used as a sample. Meanwhile, the sampling technique for selecting informants in this study used a purposive sampling technique. Primary data collection was carried out through interviews and observations. Meanwhile, secondary data was collected using data sources through literature studies and documentation. Based on the field findings, it can be concluded that these SPA prostitution entrepreneurs have built relationships with the authorities around which the SPA prostitution business is carried out. These authorities can be local government officials and also members of mass organizations. The relationship that SPA prostitution entrepreneurs build with the authorities is for no other purpose than protecting and securing their prostitution business practices so that they are not disturbed. The relationship between entrepreneurs and those in power at the wheels of business is a problem introduced previously in the academic context, but this concept is interesting to discuss.
