Edumaspul: Jurnal Pendidikan focuses on the following topics: Curriculum development, teacher education and professional development, teacher training, cross-cultural studies, learning, evaluation, English language teaching, counseling, management, quality of education, and the use of communication and information technology, at various levels of education and how to deliver learning. It provides an academic platform for teachers, lecturers, and researchers to contribute innovative work in the field. Edumaspul: Jurnal Pendidikan is first published in March 2017 and covers much research in all levels of education (primary, secondary, and higher education). Edumaspul: Jurnal Pendidikan become a CrossRef Member since the year 2019. Therefore, all articles published will have a unique DOI number. Beginning from Vol. 1 No. 1 (2017), all articles will be published in the English version and Indonesia version. The publication frequency is twice a year in March and October. Abstract

Pendidikan karakter, terutama dalam konteks Kurikulum Merdeka dan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5), merupakan aspek penting dalam membentuk generasi berkompeten dan berkarakter. Salah satu nilai inti yang perlu ditanamkan adalah gotong royong, yang mencerminkan semangat kerja sama dan solidaritas sosial dalam budaya Indonesia. Namun, integrasi nilai gotong royong dalam pembelajaran di sekolah dasar menghadapi tantangan, terutama terkait dengan keterbatasan bahan ajar yang efektif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan e-modul berbasis kearifan lokal yang mengintegrasikan nilai gotong royong. Fokus utama penelitian ini adalah untuk menilai validitas atau kelayakan e-modul yang dikembangkan dalam mendukung pembelajaran berbasis proyek yang interaktif dan relevan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Research and Development (R&D) dengan model ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation). Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan skala likert. Penelitian ini menghasilkan sebuah e-modul yang mengintegrasikan nilai gotong royong pada tema kearifan lokal di Sekolah Dasar. Berdasarkan evaluasi yang dilakukan, e-modul ini menunjukkan kelayakan yang baik, pada aspek penilaian terhadap modul menunjukkan tingkat kemenarikan sebesar 94% dan kepraktisan sebesar 89%, menegaskan bahwa modul ini relevan, menarik, dan mudah digunakan dalam pembelajaran berbasis karakter

Abstract

This study aims to describe the results of developing learning media in the form of a picture book of poetry writing material based on local culture for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Baturaja. The type of research used is Research and Development (R & D). The model used is ADDIE. Data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires, interviews, and tests. Furthermore, the data analysis technique is descriptive statistical analysis technique. The results of the research and discussion showed that the eighth grade students of SMP Negeri 2 Baturaja needed learning media to write poetry. These needs are related to the content and physical aspects of the learning media. Viewed from the aspect of content, students need learning media that is equipped with examples, exercises, and colorful pictures in it that are in accordance with the material about writing poetry. Meanwhile, the teacher's needs are, they want learning media that can attract students' interest in learning, especially writing poetry. From the results of the assessment of the feasibility of the material obtaining a score of 21. Furthermore, the results of the assessment of the linguist obtained a score of 19. The results of the assessment of the design expert obtained a score of 22. The results of the assessment of the graphic expert obtained a score of 16. Thus, the overall score obtained from the assessment of the feasibility of expert validation of 78 with the appropriate category, to become a learning media in the form of a picture book of poetry material for class VIII students of SMP Negeri 2 Baturaja.

Abstract

Penguasaan bahasa Inggris telah berkembang menjadi isu penting dalam pendidikan saat ini. Kegagalan dalam pembelajaran akan memberikan hasil yang tidak maksimal. Oleh karena itu, sangat penting untuk mengungkap hambatan-hambatan yang dialami oleh siswa dalam mempelajari bahasa Inggris. Fokus penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang dapat menciptakan hambatan dalam mempelajari bahasa Inggris. Dalam mengumpulkan data, peneliti menggunakan metode kualitatif dimana wawancara sebagai instrumen utama. Partisipan adalah mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris di Universitas Negeri Makassar. Enam partisipan terpilih menjadi sampel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat empat hambatan yang paling banyak dihadapi oleh siswa. Hambatan-hambatan tersebut adalah kurangnya minat; dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan kelas yang tidak menarik, kurangnya kemahiran guru dalam bahasa Inggris; ditandai dengan ketergantungan pada pendekatan berbasis buku teks dan instruksi lisan terbatas, kurangnya pengulangan; ditandai dengan belajar hanya ketika diperlukan, dan kurangnya motivasi; dipengaruhi oleh minat atau keingintahuan siswa. Hambatan-hambatan tersebut relevan dalam pengembangan pengajaran bahasa Inggris untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang efektif.

Abstract

Penggunaan eBook interaktif dalam proses pembelajaran di era digital saat ini dianggap mampu memberikan dukungan positif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan akademik siswa. Para akademisi berlomba-lomba mengembangkan eBook interaktif di bidangnya sebagai salah satu upaya pembaruan dan peningkatan kualitas belajar mengajar. Salah satunya adalah pengembangan buku elektronik di Unviersitas Muhammadiyah Enrekang berupa buku ajar interaktif Bahasa Inggris dasar untuk mahasiswa Non Pendidikan Bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi persepsi pengguna (mahasiswa) terhadap penggunaan eBook tersebut khususnya dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menyimak Bahasa Inggris. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Instrumen yang digunakan untuk mengumpulkan data adalah kuesioner. Data yang dikumpulkan terdiri atas 4 kategori yakni, perasaan mahasiswa terhadap penggunaan eBook, manfaat eBook, kekurangan eBook, dan karakter SDL. Terdapat 189 siswa sebagai sampel dalam penelitian ini yang dipilih menggunakan teknik total sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa para siswa senang menggunakan eBook dan oleh karena itu mereka berpikir bahwa eBook dapat membantu mereka memperluas kosakata dan pemahaman mereka. Selain itu, eBook interaktif dapat mengembangkan kemampuan belajar mandiri mereka. Namun kekurangan dari penggunaan eBook ini yaitu dapat menghabiskan kuota internet cukup banyak.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji implementasi moderasi beragama dalam konteks pendidikan agama Islam di Indonesia. Permasalahan yang dikaji adalah tantangan ekstrimisme dan intoleransi dalam masyarakat Islam di Indonesia, serta urgensi pendidikan moderat sebagai solusi untuk mempromosikan toleransi dan keseimbangan dalam kehidupan beragama. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah analisis kajian pustaka terhadap ertikel jurnal yang relevan dengan tema implementasi moderasi beragama. Temuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah bahwa integrasi nilai-nilai moderasi dalam kurikulum, pelatihan bagi pendidik, dan dialog antar stake holder menjadi kunci dalam menciptakan lingkungan pendidikan inklusif dan harmonis

Abstract

Pendidikan bahasa dan sastra sangat penting dalam komunikasi politik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendapatkan penggunaan maksim kuantitas dan kualitas dalam wacana komunikasi politik antara Anggota DPRD dengan Masyarakat di Kota Makasar. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada fenomena menarik terhadap isi pesan dalam komunikasi politik para elite politik yang bisa memberikan pengaruh pada kehidupan Masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendakatan kualitatif dengan metode kualitatif deskriptif. Data diambil dari tuturan para elit politik dalam dialog anggota DPRD dengan masyrakat di Kota Makassar. Teknik yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data adalah (1) perekaman (menjaring data percakapan) dan (2) wawancara (memperoleh data yang tidak terekam dengan smartphone dan yang tidak teramati atau tidak tercatat pada catatan lapangan saat pelaksanaan observasi). Analisis data menggunakan model interaktif Miles and Huberman (Miles et al., 2014) yang meliputi tahap: (1) pengumpulan data (2) reduksi data, (3) penyajian data, dan (4) verifikasi serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa maksim kuantitas, bentuk kalimat interogatif mendominasi dibanding dengan kalimat deklaratif. Sementara untuk strategi yang mendominasi strategi langsung. Hal yang sama juga terjadi pada maksim kualitas yang didominasi oleh kalimat interogatif dan strategi langsung. Jadi, maksim kuantitas dan kualitas yang terkandung dalam komunikasi politik antara anggota DPRD dengan Masyarakat disampaikan secara langsung dengan ruang dan waktu yang sama sehingga kejelasan informasi dapat dipahami dengan mudah oleh para pendengar.

Abstract

Studies on the main problems of Indonesian Education essentially highlight the educator's capability, professionality, and creativity. The fundamental problem lies in the reproduction and recruitment of educators themselves from the start. The problem becomes more complicated due to the acceleration of digital learning-based learning management systems synchronously/asynchronously, particularly in primary education as the foundation. This is also an observation and concept for the Kurikulum Merdeka implementation to overcome the education crisis through Merdeka Belajar policies, especially the Guru-Sekolah Penggerak program, the Merdeka Berbudaya media, the Merdeka Mengajar platform, and the Kampus Mengajar pattern. Such conditions are the focus of the study to assess opportunities for digital transformation in the teaching and learning process in elementary school and PGSD based on educators' perspectives on the students' characteristics and tendencies. This study uses a diagnostic case study method to examine the results of reports from related research institutions representatively and interpretively using internet searching techniques to be analyzed using critical discourse analysis to maintain the data commensurability. The report from the RISE Program in Indonesia, INOVASI, UNICEF Indonesia, SMERU Research Institute, and APJII then emphasized that strengthening educator competency, deepening curriculum flexibility, developing digital skills of educators and students, as well as improving teaching and learning platforms and school digital connectivity that focuses on an equitable education ecosystem is a challenge to respond the world education transformation. The results conform with OECD and UNESCO recommendations for embodying an equal and prosperous educational future. Hence, the Merdeka Belajar transition in Dikdas must become the basis for joint study to ensure the direction and realm of the transformation of Indonesian education.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the views of Generation Z students on the childfree phenomenon in Indonesia. The method used is a qualitative approach with online in-depth interviews with students of the State Islamic University (UIN) Jakarta. This research uses thematic analysis techniques to understand the interviewees' perspectives. The results showed that childfree is a growing trend with the potential to increase interest in the future. UIN Jakarta students understand childfree as a couple's decision not to have children in marriage, based on various reasons, such as economic considerations, mental health, and individual freedom. However, students' opinions are divided: some support it on the grounds of individual freedom rights, while others reject it because it is considered contrary to the cultural and social values of Indonesian society. Despite the pros and cons, the majority of students agree that childfree is a form of individual freedom in determining their life path

Abstract

The transformation of language learning in Indonesia is increasingly influenced by artificial intelligence (AI), which offers multimodal approaches and content adaptation to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of education. This article explores the application of AI in language education, highlighting how this technology enables a more personalized learning experience through the integration of diverse media (text, sound, images, and video), tailored to individual learning styles. The research employs a qualitative approach using semi-structured interviews to explore students' experiences, perceptions, and views on the use of AI in language learning. From the students' perspective, AI accelerates the learning process by providing instant feedback, which helps develop speaking, writing, and vocabulary comprehension skills. This multimodal approach also supports a deeper mastery of cultural contexts. Despite challenges related to infrastructure and cultural barriers, AI holds significant potential to expand access to language education, particularly in remote areas. Students, as direct beneficiaries, experience a significant shift in how they learn languages, with greater opportunities for independent and adaptive learning. The article also discusses the importance of AI-based content adaptation that aligns with learners' specific needs, enhancing the overall educational experience.

Abstract

Communication is an absolute necessity for human life. Communication provides something to other people with certain contacts or by using tools. A lot of communication occurs and takes place but sometimes the target of what is communicated does not reach. The aim of this research is to find out how students' interpersonal communication works. This research uses quantitative experimental methods with a one group pretest posttest design. The population in this study were all class The data analysis used was the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The results obtained from the Wilcoxon signed rank test show that it can be concluded that group guidance services are effective in improving students' interpersonal communication
