Abstract

This study aims to assess the relevance of exercises and evaluation in the  Bahasa Arab book for the 2013 Curriculum of Grade VIII MTs, based on the perspective of Rusydhi Ahmad Thu’aimah. In this study, the researcher uses qualitative research and a descriptive content analysis method. The data collection technique was carried out through document study, where the researcher reviewed and analyzed the content of the Bahasa Arab book used in Grade VIII MTs to determine whether the elements of exercises and evaluation align with the theory proposed by Rusydhi Ahmad Thu’aimah. The results of the study show that the three elements of exercises and evaluation according to Rusydhi Ahmad Thu’aimah (1989) have been fully met in the Bahasa Arab book for the 2013 Curriculum of Grade VIII MTs. These three elements are language exercises, independent learning, and tests and evaluation. In terms of language exercises, the book provides various activities that focus on language skills, such as exercises in understanding sentence structure, vocabulary usage, and applying Arabic grammar rules in appropriate contexts. These exercises are designed to enhance students’ ability to communicate both orally and in writing. In the element of independent learning, the book provides students with opportunities to learn independently through various activities, such as individual tasks, practice questions, and reflection. The presented material encourages students to actively seek information and practice without fully relying on the teacher’s guidance, thereby fostering greater independence in learning. In the element of tests and evaluation, the book includes assessments that are appropriate to the students’ level of understanding, with formative and summative tests to measure students’ competency achievements. These evaluations are not limited to knowledge alone, but also assess the language skills acquired by students throughout the learning process. Tests are given at the end of each lesson, while evaluations are conducted every three lessons.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of using Educandy Application in improving students' vocabulary memorization at Prik Municipality School Thailand. This research is a quantitative research, with a pre experimental research design in the form of one group pre-test and post-test. The population in this study were all students of class IX, while the sample in this study were students of class IX A. Data analysis techniques used in processing data are normality test and t-test. Statistical analysis in this study using SPSS. The results of this study are from the results of the t-test, both seen from the sig value. (2-tailed) which is 0.000 <0.05. Nor the results of T count> T table, namely (9.925> 2.101). Thus it is stated that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted in this study. So it can be concluded that The educandy app is effective in improving vocabulary memorization for ninth grade students at Prik Municipality School in Thailand. The research demonstrate that the use of the Educandy application significantly improves students' vocabulary retention. This highlights the importance of integrating interactive, game-based technologies into Arabic language learning. In real-world settings, these results suggest that employing such tools can create more engaging and motivating learning environments, particularly in multilingual and multicultural contexts like Thailand. Moreover, this research opens possibilities for further studies focusing on the impact of similar educational applications on other language skills, such as speaking and writing, and across different age groups and educational levels.

Abstract

This study presents an attempt to employ digital resources in teaching Arabic literature to non-Arabic speakers, as it seeks to demonstrate the importance of these resources and their role in enhancing the learning of Arabic literature through the capabilities offered by them that were not available in paper sources and traditional methods in teaching Arabic literature, especially for non-Arab students. In addition to the enormous capabilities and various sources offered by these resources, these resources that are provided through modern technology increase students' motivation towards learning, make the lesson more interesting and interactive for learners due to the digital, written, audio and visual resources they provide, with the possibility of re-listening to selected texts and controlling the speed of diction to suit the level of the non-Arabic speaking student, as well as the availability of literary dictionaries, sources and references to the mothers of literary books that enable the student to understand and assimilate literary texts and help him in his research studies. In education, the second topic deals with the most important digital resources available on the Internet and how to employ and benefit from them in teaching Arabic literature to non-Arabic speakers

Abstract

This study aims to identify and analyze the implementation of the Independent Curriculum (Kurikulum Merdeka) from the aspects of planning, execution, and evaluation in Indonesian language learning based on local wisdom, as applied at SMP Negeri 1 Bayan. A qualitative approach was used in this research. Data collection techniques involved direct observation, analyzed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman. The results indicate that the planning stage has been executed very well, meeting the criteria outlined in six indicators on the observation instrument for planning. The planning activities carried out by teachers include the preparation of teaching modules, Learning Outcomes (Capaian Pembelajaran or CP), formulation of Learning Objectives (Tujuan Pembelajaran or TP), development of the Learning Objectives Flow (Alur Tujuan Pembelajaran or ATP), and design of instructional steps, learning media, and assessment tools for student learning. At the implementation stage, the curriculum was also executed very well, meeting the criteria outlined in twenty-nine indicators in the observation instrument for implementation. In this regard, the form of curriculum implementation in Indonesian language learning involved the teacher delivering instruction based on the prepared Indonesian language module, specifically a letter-text module designed in the planning phase. At the evaluation stage, the curriculum implementation was carried out very effectively, meeting the criteria in the observation instrument for evaluation, which includes diagnostic evaluation, formative assessment, and summative assessment.

Abstract

This research includes two issues: First, it is necessary to know these rhetorical devices, especially for Indonesian students who are learning Arabic. The second issue is that the function of the Arabic language for Muslims in understanding the meanings of the Quran is very necessary for increased faith, and therefore the researcher wanted to take Surat Ash-Shu'ara' as a model to know the verses that include the types of embellishments, and this research focuses on verbal embellishments from the science of rhetoric. Therefore, this study aims to discover the miraculous aspect of the Quran from the point of view of what Allah has endowed it with in terms of beautiful composition and skillful structures, and to uncover its rhetorical secrets through its beautiful words. The research method is using the analytical descriptive approach, which is a method based on an accurate description of phenomena, and depends on describing and explaining what exists. The study proved the presence of verbal embellishments in Surat Ash-Shu'ara', and the research results included 5 cases of alliteration, 5 cases of pauses, 1 case of tasree', 3 cases of taddeed/replacing the second half of the verse to the first half of the verse, and 1 case of tatreez.

Abstract

The background of this research is the condition in the field that there is still a lack of digital teaching materials for Arabic language learning. So far, teachers only use textbooks that are still monotonous in their implementation, not dynamic enough to see the development of technology which is currently very rapid. The objectives in this study are (1) to determine the development of digital-based Arabic teaching materials with the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach, (2) to determine the effectiveness of using digital-based Arabic teaching materials with the Contextual Teaching and Learning approach. This research method is mixed method with Research and Development (R&D) design using Borg and Gall model. The results of this study showed a difference, the average pretest score was 38.9 and the average posttest score was 86.4. From the results of the pretest and posttest, the results of the normality test were pretest 0.088>0.05 and posttest 0.151>0.05, so the pretest and posttest data were normally distributed. Then the results of the homogeneity test show the sig value> 0.05, namely 0.571> 0.05, so the data variance is homogeneous data. From the paired t test it is known that the sig value. (2-tailed) < than 0.05, namely 0.000 < 0.05, so there is a real difference and influence between learning outcomes on pretest and posttest data. N-Gain Score test results are >78.6108 then the product development of digital-based Arabic language materials with contextual teaching and learning approach gets a very effective category.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the application of forensic linguistics in the process of investigating criminal language cases carried out by NTB Police Criminal Investigators and linguists. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection methods in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained was then analyzed with a forensic linguistic approach to find out the application of linguistics and theoretical approaches used to analyze speech or cases of insult and defamation. The results of this study show that 1. The application of forensic linguistics by investigators of the Directorate of Special Criminal Investigation Unit Sub-Directorate V Cyber in the Investigation. 2. Analysis of Language experts or forensic Linguistics in case of insults and defamation at the NTB regional police.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the form and meaning of Bima proverbs in the Wadukopa Village community, Soromandi District, Bima Regency. The typa of research is descriptive qualitative research. The data source for this study is informants or the Wadukopa community. The data collection methode used in the study was through observation, interviews, and documentation. Observation data in the form of notes related to the behavior and interactions of informants, the interview data in the from information about proverb obtained through a question and answer process between the interviewer and the informant. While the documentation data in the form of written materials that have passed related to Bima proverbs. The data analysis method uses intralingual and extralingual equivalents. Intralingual iquivalents are used analyze the linguistic meaning in proverbs, while extralingual is used to understand how the culture context influence proverbs. Based on the result of the data analysis, it was found that the form of Bima proverbs in the Wadukopa community consists of proverbs in the form of proverbs, parable proverbs, and proverbs of proverbs/sayings. Meanwhile, the meaning of proverbs found in the Wadukopa village community is the denotative and connotative meanings as well as the cultures views of the community which are used to advise, motivative, provide support, remind and make the community aware, especially the younger generation who still lack knowledge. Proverbs can also be used to shape the character of the younger generation. By using proverbs in speaking, it is considered to prioritize politeness in language without saying it directly.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the phonological and lexical differences between the Sambori and Tarlawi isolects. The type of research used is quantitative descriptive with a diachronic perspective. Data were collected using a research instrument that provided 200 basic Swadesh?Morish vocabulary items and 867 cultural and non-basic vocabulary items classified according to their semantic fields, employing the “cakap” method and the “simak” method. Data collection was conducted by selecting three informants from each village according to certain criteria. The data collection methods used were the “cakap” method and the “simak” method. The data analysis method employed intralingual matching with the basic technique of intralingual comparison. Further analysis calculated the percentage similarity (status) of isolects in the research area using a dialectometry method. Based on the results conducted, two phonological differences were found, namely vowel differences and consonant differences. Meanwhile, based on the calculated percentage determination of phonological differences in the research area (Sambori village and Tarlawi village) using dialectometry, a difference value of 12.5% was found, indicating a dialect difference between Tarlawi village and Sambori village at the phonological level. Then, at the lexical level, a difference value of 36.5% was found, meaning there is a sub-dialect difference between the Sambori isolect and the Tarlawi isolect.

Abstract

This research based on an interest in sarcasm in the community of horse racing lovers in Panda, Palibelo subdistrict, which is very cruel compared to sarcasm in the community in general. The aim of this research is to discover the forms and functions of sarcasm in this community. This research used a qualitative approach with data collection methods, namely the listening method through note-taking techniques, skilful involvement, free folding and skill methods through face-to-face techniques. The result of this research show that the community of horse racing fans useed sarcasm as a means to motivate each other. In addition, in the sarcasm speech used by the horse lover community in Panda village, meanwhile the general function of this study provides information that coarse language is not only bad in social life, there are also positive values contained in it, that is strengthen the sense of brotherhood in community life.
