Abstract

This research aims to: (1) analyze how motivation influences employee performance within the Protocol Division of Yogyakarta City Government, (2) examine the role of leadership style in affecting employee performance in the same context, and (3) assess the combined impact of motivation and leadership style on employee performance. The study surveyed all 40 employees working in the Protocol Division, applying a saturated sampling method where the entire population serves as the sample. The regression analysis yielded the equation Y = 0.244X1 + 0.671X2. The statistical analysis confirmed the validity and reliability of the research instruments. Classical assumption tests indicated that the regression model was free from multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and followed a normal distribution. Hypothesis testing showed a t-value of 2.072 and a significance level of 0.045, indicating that motivation has a statistically significant positive effect on performance. Additionally, the leadership variable recorded a t-value of 5.694 with a 0.000 significance level, further confirming a significant positive influence on performance. Leadership style emerged as the most influential factor, with a coefficient of 0.671. The findings conclude that both motivation and leadership style play significant roles in enhancing employee performance in the Yogyakarta City Government’s Protocol Division.

Abstract

This study aims to determine how much influence body language communication, product quality and service quality have on customer loyalty at CV. Malasari and The results of the study show that partially the body language communication variable has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty. The results of the study show that partially the product quality variable has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty. The results of the study show that partially the service quality variable does not affect customer loyalty at CV. Malasari. The results of the study show that simultaneously the body language communication variable, product quality and service quality have a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty. The suggestion for the company is to optimize body language communication and existing product quality in order to maintain customer loyalty.

Abstract

This study aims to formulate a procurement strategy for salak commodities as a superior product of South Tapanuli Regency through SWOT analysis. Salak commodities were chosen because they consistently show Location Quotient (LQ) values ​​above 1 in 2021–2024, indicating comparative advantage and export potential. The study uses a qualitative descriptive approach with secondary data from BPS, government reports, and previous studies. SWOT analysis is used to identify strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats in the development of salak, especially canned salak product innovation. The results of the study show that South Tapanuli salak has advantages in terms of production, variety quality, and processed product potential, but still faces obstacles in downstreaming innovation and export market access. The transformation strategy is focused on developing new salak-based products, increasing the capacity of MSMEs, and optimizing market promotion and partnerships. This study recommends strengthening synergy between the government, business actors, and farmers to realize salak as a competitive and sustainable export commodity.

Abstract

The goal of this research is to find out how much money the street sellers at Wirabraja Field make from people's choices to utilise digital apps while making purchases. This research surveyed thirty street sellers from Wirabraja Field in Bukittingii City. The researchers in this study used a method called complete sampling to choose their samples from the whole population. This study's data analysis method relied on multiple regression analysis, executed using the SPSS 25 statistical programme. Research and hypothesis testing have shown that business actors at street vendors in Wirabraja Square, Bukittinggi City, see a favourable and statistically significant increase in their revenue when they utilise digital apps. In Wirabraja Square, Bukittinggi City, the revenue of street sellers is positively and significantly impacted by consumer purchasing choices. The revenue of business players in Wirabraja Square, Bukittinggi City, is positively and significantly impacted by the usage of digital apps and purchase choices. Business actor income (Y) is reliant on two independent variables, use of digital applications (X1) and purchasing decisions (X2), which together account for 0.416, or 41.6% of the total. Entrepreneurial literacy, financial literacy, and other factors not included in this research account for the remaining 0.584, or 58.4%.

Abstract

Effective decision-making is a critical factor in achieving operational success within organizations. However, decisions made without proper root-cause analysis often fail to resolve problems thoroughly. This study aims to analyze the influence of the Fishbone Diagram application on decision-making effectiveness in Company X. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, using in-depth interviews, observations, and document analysis as data collection techniques. Informants include six employees directly involved in decision-making processes. The findings reveal that the implementation of the Fishbone Diagram improves problem identification accuracy, encourages cross-functional team participation, and results in more targeted and logical decisions. The diagram also enhances reflective thinking and cause-effect reasoning in formulating relevant solutions. Although technical limitations in applying the method were observed, overall, Fishbone demonstrates a positive impact on the quality and effectiveness of decision-making within the organization.

Abstract

An organization's success is highly dependent on the quality of the performance of employees who carry out their duties and responsibilities. In achieving organizational goals effectively and efficiently, HR management strategies are needed, one of which is career development and work motivation on employee performance. This study aims to analyze the effect of career development and work motivation on the performance of civil servants (PNS) at the Samarinda Office of the Standardization and Industrial Services Center (BSPJI). The approach used is quantitative with the sampling technique is saturated sampling, data collection from questionnaires distributed to 30 respondents. Data analysis was carried out using instrument tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression tests, and hypothesis testing using the SPSS application. The results showed that career development had a positive and significant effect on the performance of civil servants (PNS) at the Office of the Industrial Services Standardization and Services Center in Samarinda. Likewise with work motivation which has a positive and significant effect on the performance of civil servants at the Office of the Industrial Services Standardization and Services Center in Samarinda.

Abstract

Purpose. This study aims to determine the influence of gender diversity on the board of directors and the size of the board of directors on the quality of financial reporting in the Health Sector. Methods. This study uses the population of health sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange during the period 2014-2023. Through the purposive sampling method, 106 observation data (firm-year) were obtained from companies that published annual reports during the period and compiled financial statements in rupiah. Furthermore, the data were further selected by excluding years in which the company exhibited negative profit management practices, in order to meet the criteria of this study. The data analysis technique used in this study is multiple linear regression analysis supported by hypothesis testing, descriptive statistics and classical assumption tests. Findings. The results of the hypothesis test show that gender diversity in the board of directors has a significant effect on the quality of financial reporting. And the size of the board of directors does not have a significant influence on the quality of financial reporting. Implication. The implications of this study show that gender diversity on the board of directors can be an effective strategy in improving the transparency and quality of financial reporting, especially in the health sector. Therefore, companies are advised to consider gender representation in the preparation of the board of directors structure to strengthen corporate governance.

Abstract

The low retention of Gen Z employees in the last five years based on LinkedIn Workforce Report data is quite a concern. This research analyses policies related to the management of Human Resources (SDI) at Baitul Maal Hidayatullah South Sulawesi (BMH SULSEL). The research method uses a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews and documentation studies. The results of this study indicate that the employee policies carried out by BMH SULSEL are very effective in increasing Gen Z retention. Through policy engineering by applying Islamic values, BMH SULSEL succeeded in creating a conducive work circle and increasing employee motivation. Policy analysis shows the importance of engineering in shaping a conducive work situation. The implication of this research is the importance of applying Shari'a values in employee policies to improve retention, especially Gen Z.

Abstract

This study aims to compare classical and neoclassical economic perspectives on the role of the market in economic development and assess their relevance in the current Indonesian development context. The research uses a qualitative approach through library research by analyzing various economic literature sources. The findings reveal that classical economics emphasizes the importance of free markets without government intervention, while neoclassical economics incorporates individual rationality, marginal efficiency, and technological progress, while allowing for limited government intervention to address market failures. Both schools of thought agree that the market plays a central role in efficiently allocating resources. These findings provide important contributions for formulating adaptive and inclusive economic policies in developing countries such as Indonesia.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of income, financial perception, and financial anxiety on students' personal financial management. The approach used is quantitative with primary data sources collected through online questionnaires. The population used in the study were students of Universitas PGRI Semarang with a sample size of 333 respondents. The data analysis technique used was multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS Software Version 22. The results of this study indicate that the variables of income, financial perception, and financial anxiety have a positive effect on students' personal financial management.
