Abstract

Early marriage is a significant social problem in Indonesia, including in Cilengkrang District, Bandung Regency. In an effort to address this problem, the Indonesian government issued Law Number 16 of 2019 which sets the minimum age of marriage to 19 years for both men and women. Community service in socializing this law in Cilengkrang Sub-district aims to increase community understanding and compliance with the regulation. The program involves various educational activities, such as counseling, group discussions, and training for community leaders and educators. The methods used include direct approaches through village meetings and indirect methods through social and print media. The results showed that the involvement of community leaders and religious leaders was very effective in conveying messages and reducing resistance to legal change. The main challenges faced were changing entrenched mindsets and problems accessing information in remote areas. Recommendations to improve the effectiveness of this program include increasing the involvement of community leaders, optimizing the use of media, continuous training, inter-agency cooperation, periodic evaluation, and a culturally sensitive approach. With the implementation of these recommendations, it is expected that the socialization of the marriage age limit law in Cilengkrang Sub-district can be more effective, reduce the number of early marriages, and create an environment that supports the optimal development of children and improves the overall welfare of the community.

Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Dawuhan Village, Wanayasa District have experienced quantitative development. Differences occur in MSMEs that consistently make financial reports, especially micro and small businesses that are not in line with quantitative developments. MSMEs in Dawuhan Village do not routinely report MSME performance (operational and financial) so that financial conditions cannot be known early by MSME owners. Lecture, discussion, simulation and question and answer methods regarding the benefits and uses of preparing reports were chosen for delivering the material. The results of the community service show that actions are still needed to convince MSMEs regarding the importance of financial reports. Several participants were able to understand and were enthusiastic about participating in the training. In the future, training and introduction of financial applications related to MSMEs such as Buku Warung, Siapik or other applications are needed. The role of the Banjarnegara Regency Government apparatus (related agencies) through Dharma Wanita, Pokdarwis or Karang Taruna (youth groups) needs to be improved.

Abstract

Anemia is the most common nutritional problem in Indonesia and in the world. Anemia is a condition where red cells are insufficient to meet the body's physiological needs. Basically, anemia is a condition where there is a decrease in hemoglobin, hematocrit and erythrocyte count below normal values. The process of this activity starts from the preparation, implementation and evaluation stages. The result was that the participants were 23 pregnant mothers who lived in Bangun Rejo Village. During the implementation, the mothers' hemoglobin levels were checked after which they were given education about anemia in pregnancy. The conclusion of this service is that 19 pregnant women (82.6%) did not experience anemia and 4 people (17.4%) experienced mild anemia and after the examination, pregnant women were given education about anemia in pregnant women. It is hoped that pregnant women will pay more attention to the condition of their pregnancy and eat food that contains good nutrition for pregnant women and have their condition checked regularly.

Abstract

In the digital era, the development of artificial intelligence (AI) technology increasingly influences education, requiring students to possess stronger critical thinking and scientific argumentation skills. This Community Service (PKM) activity aimed to enhance the scientific argumentation abilities of the fifth-semester students of the Physics Education Program at Universitas Nusa Cendana. The training involved 25 students over five days, consisting of three main phases: demonstration and brainstorming, mentoring, and scientific argumentation practice through structured debates and scientific presentations. Evaluation results indicate that the training successfully improved students' understanding of scientific argumentation, with an average score of 4.35 for skill improvement and 4.12 for confidence enhancement. Seventy percent of participants stated that the training positively impacted their skills, while 88% felt that the materials were sufficient. However, challenges in managing group discussions and the training duration were identified, needing improvements for future implementations. With a hands-on approach and interactive learning, this training proved effective in enhancing students' critical thinking, academic communication, and scientific argumentation skills. This PKM initiative could serve as a model for developing innovative learning methods to prepare competent future educators in the digital age.

Abstract

Fostering children's faith requires creative methods to help children understand the teachings of the Christian faith while also enhancing their creativity. This research aims to explore the effectiveness of creative methods through interactive games in the faith building program at St. John Taum Church. With a case study approach, data was collected through direct observation, interviews with supervisors and children, and documentation of activities. The program involves interactive games that aim to teach Christian teachings in a fun and engaging way. The results of the study show that the interactive game-based creative method not only improves children's understanding of the teachings of faith but also develops their creative skills, such as critical thinking skills and cooperation in groups. Children became enthusiastic and engaged in activities, while mentors reported an increase in children's positive attitudes and participation. In conclusion, the creative method through interactive games is effective in increasing children's creativity in the context of faith building and can be widely applied in religion-based learning activities. The implication of this study is the importance of developing creative methods in religious education and to encourage children's interest and deeper understanding

Abstract

Children's faith education is an important foundation in developing Christian character, especially in the context of the family and church community. The background to this problem arises from the need to prepare the younger generation to be able to confront the difficulties of the times, especially in the complex digital era. The aim of this study was to assess effectiveness. A faith development program run by the Catholic Church to strengthen children's faith. The methods used include qualitative analysis through interviews and observation of program activities, involving children, parents and church administrators. The research results show that the faith formation program has succeeded in increasing children's understanding of Christian values ​​such as love, forgiveness and honesty, as well as building a strong foundation for their spiritual life. Additionally, this program also plays a role in strengthening the church community and society by involving families in the learning process. Through a series of specially designed activities, children not only understand the basics of faith and religious teachings, but also develop spiritual skills and a closer relationship with God. In this way, the faith development program has proven to be effective in forming children's Christian character from an early age.

Abstract

(1) Teachers at KB TK MTA Jebres in carrying out learning tasks are still constrained by several things including understanding MBKM, inclusive learning, guidance of students with problems, and planning of activity programs intended for normal children combined with ABK; (2) The purpose of community service activities with the theme of Guidance and Counseling Skills Training MBKM TK MTA Jebres, Surakarta is to provide knowledge and skills of Guidance and Counseling related to MBKM to Teachers to strengthen the role of guiding students in facing learning difficulties so that students achieve good achievements. (3) This community service is carried out by applying the Brenstorming method to explore teachers' opinions on problems related to MBKM, the Lecture method to deliver Guidance and Counseling material according to MBKM, the Question and Answer method to provide opportunities for teachers to exchange ideas, the Practice method to train teachers in implementing Guidance and Counseling according to MBKM and Case studies to provide space and time for teachers to convey the cases they have, so that the material is easily accepted by teachers and the training runs smoothly. The evaluation was carried out using a performance test (4) The results of the first training, all participants (Head of KB-TK MTA Jebres and Teachers) mastered MBKM, the main materials. The results of the second training, all participants (Head of KB-TK MTA Jebres and Teachers) mastered inclusive learning, guidance of students with problems, The results of the third training, all participants (Head of KB-TK MTA Jebres and Teachers) mastered the planning of activity programs intended for normal children combined with ABK.

Abstract

Batuan Tourism Village is located in the Sukawati District, Gianyar Regency, Bali, and has several potentials in terms of historical, cultural, customary, as well as tourism products, both goods and services. The presence of Pura Puseh in Batuan Village is the starting point of tourist attraction in Batuan Tourism Village. However, despite its popularity as a culturally-based tourism village, the percentage of length of stay and time of spend of tourists in Batuan Tourism Village is still very low. This results in minimal tourism activities occurring in Batuan Tourism Village. The lack of information about Batuan Tourism Village accessible to tourists and the absence of Local Tour Guides assigned to tourism spots in Batuan Tourism Village. Therefore, this study aims to develop Batuan Village into an educational tourism village through the role of Local Champions and implementing the concept of Tri Hita Karana using several methods, namely educational methods, persuasive methods, and technology transfer methods. Through the implementation of activities with these methods, the P2MD Batuan Village group produces: (1) the role of local champions as local tour guides, (2) the formation of integrated tour packages, (3) establishing cooperation partnerships with travel agents, (4) the existence of handbooks in physical and digital forms accessible through barcode scanning, and (5) the existence of promotional videos aimed at facilitating tourists to learn about Batuan Tourism Village.

Abstract

One of the important problems faced by developing countries, such as Indonesia, is the population explosion. The population explosion results in a rapid population growth rate. To overcome this problem, the Indonesian government has implemented a Family Planning (KB) program that began in 1968. The family planning program provides an opportunity to regulate birth spacing or reduce the number of births by using hormonal or non-hormonal contraceptive methods. Based on data collection that has been carried out in Blang Pala, Banda Baro District, North Aceh Regency, this Community Service activity is to maximize maternal and child health services in the hope of reducing the rate of population growth. This Community Service activity was carried out by providing information about KB and KB Services in Blang Pala, Banda Baro District, North Aceh Regency, totaling 15 people. The results of this KB Service activity were continued by providing an evaluation to acceptors, namely Questions and Answers about KB and knowledge of choosing contraceptives. KB participants were able to answer and explain the questions asked well. The results of the activity showed an increase in knowledge before and after the activity was carried out. It can be concluded that community service activities in the form of counseling and KB Services have a very good impact on those in the local area and can increase the coverage of MKJP

Abstract

Diarrhea is one of the main health problems in developing countries, especially in Indonesia, which can be prevented through implementing Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS). This study aims to analyze the relationship between PHBS and the incidence of diarrhea in children under five (aged 0-5 years) in Meurah Mulia District, North Aceh Regency. The research method uses a quantitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques in the form of questionnaires, interviews and direct observation of 100 mothers of toddlers. The variables studied included the use of clean water, the habit of washing hands with soap (CTPS), and the use of healthy latrines. The results of the study showed that there was a significant relationship between PHBS and the incidence of diarrhea. As many as 21.4% of children from the group that used clean water experienced diarrhea, while this figure increased to 83.3% in the group that did not use clean water. In addition, only 16% of children in the group who did CTPS experienced diarrhea, compared to 84% in the group who did not do CTPS. Meanwhile, the use of healthy latrines also showed a significant effect, with 16.7% of children who used healthy latrines experiencing diarrhea, compared to 75% in the group who did not use healthy latrines.
