Abstract

Assessment is an activity or process of collecting and processing information so that student learning outcomes can be measured and reviewed. Management of student assessment has standards that must be met by teachers or educators so that the assessment results are objective to measure the level of development and achievement of learning. MA Ma'arif Balong applies standards for managing student assessment with an assessment model that is expected to improve the quality and quality of education. This study was conducted using a descriptive qualitative method, because this study was conducted directly and requires real objects to search for, find and select new knowledge based on several structured theories and principles that are carried out seriously. The purpose of this study is to describe the management model, techniques and factors that influence the assessment. Management of assessment at MA Ma'arif Balong is carried out according to educational assessment standards that are sourced from government regulations on student assessment which are developed and adjusted to the needs of the madrasah. The student assessment model at MA Ma'arif Balong uses authentic assessment, daily test assessment, mid-semester assessment, and final semester assessment. The student assessment technique uses attitude assessment, knowledge assessment and skills assessment. The management of student assessment at MA Ma'arif Balong is influenced by two factors, namely factors from within the test which include test directions or instructions, choice of words on the test instrument, level of test difficulty, inappropriate time and number of questions, and factors from students which consist of the level of student motivation and differences in learning and understanding test.

Abstract

Educational supervision as one form of effort in one of the functions of educational management plays a very strategic role in placing each educational program so that it remains on track in its implementation. However, the facts show that the implementation of educational supervision has not been maximized, there are still many obstacles faced so that it is ineffective and does not have a significant impact on improving the quality of education. So that a new breakthrough is needed in educational supervision that does not only focus on academic achievement, but also on the formation of a whole, characterful, and highly moral human being. Namely by implementing prophetic-based educational supervision. Through a qualitative descriptive approach in the form of a library research, this article aims to describe the prophetic values ??contained in the Qur'an that can be implemented in the educational supervision process. The results of the search found that; The prophetic values ??that can be developed in educational supervision are: 1) Supervisors in carrying out supervision must be based on monotheism, honesty, justice, wisdom and trustworthiness, provide examples, advise ma'ruf, deliberation and politeness, cooperative/cooperation, and constructive and creative; 2) The target/object of supervision must have the intention to improve themselves, be honest and not manipulate, and accept it as a form of practice.

Abstract

Producing students with high confidence in learning English who possess 21st-century skills—such as foundational literacies, competencies, and character qualities—requires a transformative shift in teaching strategies and methodologies. This study explores the effectiveness of the Flipped & Blended Classroom Program in enhancing English language performance, confidence, and perceptions among secondary school students. Utilizing a range of technological tools, diverse teaching strategies, and school resources, students were encouraged to actively engage, explore, and learn independently. A total of 400 secondary school students were randomly selected to participate in this study, completing questionnaires before and after their experience in the program. The findings reveal a significant improvement in both examination scores and classroom-based assessments, highlighting the program’s impact on academic performance. Additionally, students reported feeling more confident in their English abilities, with many expressing a more positive attitude towards learning the language. These results demonstrate that integrating technology in a structured classroom setting benefits students by fostering a more dynamic, student-centered learning environment. For teachers, the program provided opportunities to adopt innovative practices and conduct activities that challenge students, ultimately enhancing teaching quality. This study underscores the value of incorporating blended learning models in educational contexts, especially in developing essential skills for the modern world.

Abstract

This research discusses the role of school operators in enhancing the effectiveness of public services in the digital era at SD Negeri 6 Watampone, Bone Regency. The research method used is qualitative. This study aims to understand the role of school operators in improving public services at SD Negeri 6 Watampone. The approach taken is a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection techniques including interviews and observations. The results of the study show that the role of school operators in the effectiveness of public services in the digital era at SD Negeri 6 Watampone, Bone Regency, can be observed through their performance in carrying out their duties as school operators. School operators handle educational administrative activities at SD Negeri 6 Watampone, starting from student administration, curriculum administration, teacher and staff administration, to facility and infrastructure administration. In terms of management, school operators meet the requirements through recruitment, followed by training and development processes. The development of the school operator’s performance focuses on their main duties in the area of educational administration at SD Negeri 6 Watampone. Additionally, school operators are granted data access rights related to SD Negeri 6 Watampone. Furthermore, the services provided by the school operators have been adequately fulfilled, as evidenced by their performance. Despite facing unexpected and undesired obstacles, the school operators were able to overcome these challenges and deliver good results.

Abstract

Performance results from an individual's work in executing specific tasks. The performance of teaching and education personnel in educational institutions needs to be enhanced to achieve the institution's objectives optimally. One factor that can improve performance is the principal's interpersonal communication. This study aims to describe and analyze: (1) the application of interpersonal communication by madrasah principals; (2) the supporting and inhibiting factors for the application of interpersonal communication by madrasah principals; and (3) the role of interpersonal communication by madrasah principals in improving the performance of teaching and education personnel. This research uses a case study approach with qualitative methods, employing data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The results indicate that (1) the interpersonal communication of madrasah principals in relation to teaching and education personnel's performance is implemented through aspects of openness, encouragement, empathy, expressiveness, and equality; (2) well-designed and easily understandable messages, along with communicants' sufficient cognitive maturity, are supporting factors, while physical and semantic barriers are inhibiting factors; and (3) in enhancing the performance of teaching and education personnel, the interpersonal communication of the madrasah principal serves as both a controller and a source of work motivation.

Abstract

The purpose of education is none other than to shape the character and behaviour of individuals and learning groups in order to have a character spirit in accordance with the norms. In formal education, there has been a moral and moral crisis in students. Prophetic leadership is closely related to the formation of a person's behaviour and character, especially in the context of education that aims to educate and form morals. Prophetic leadership can have a significant impact on school organisations. Prophetic leadership plays an important role in the figure or example of people in the surrounding environment. This research was conducted at the level of Islamic basic education involving principals, teachers, and students related to the implications of the application of prophetic leadership on the development of character education in students. Data collection was done by interview and documentation. The data obtained in the form of exposure to interview information sources are then condensed, analysed and will be verified in accordance with the validity of the data. This study aims to describe the phenomenology of prophetic leadership and its relation to student character education at SD IT Assalaam Bantul. The results of the study explain that the principal in leading educational institutions has implemented prophetic leadership by integrating prophetic traits in its management. With a characterful principal leader, it is able to have a positive influence on the surrounding environment, especially for students, because the principal in the scope of education is a central role model. SD IT Assalaam Sanden Kabupaten Bantul has a programme of development activities that can shape the character of students according to Islamic teachings and uphold Islamic values.

Abstract

The improvement of student competency in the Higher Education environment is carried out by the Professional Certification Institute (LSP), namely through competency test activities in the competency certification scheme it has. As a form of improving the quality of LSP, the development of digital-based competencies needs to be carried out so that it can be an alternative in implementing competency tests that are still guided by applicable regulations, upholding the principles of competency testing and are more effective and efficient. The purpose of this study is to develop a model for implementing competency test activities for all certification schemes in LSP, starting from registration to the pre-assessment stage. This research is a type of development research with a research and development (R and D) model. The procedure in development research uses steps including the stages of analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. The subjects in this study were LSP implementers in Higher Education, in this case LSP P1 Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya. This study uses expert validation tests related to the content and products of the development. The results of a series of research activities based on trial evaluations are known to obtain an average score of eligibility of 3.81 with a maximum scale of 4 in the very good category. From the evaluation results, improvements are needed in the design aspects, namely the type of writing, the appearance of the background and the addition of videos as a guide for prospective assessors in this case students of Universitas PGRI Adi Buana Surabaya.

Abstract

Teachers' problems in carrying out the learning process are very complex. Starting from learning administration skills to teaching skills. This problem must be resolved completely because teachers are the spearhead of quality education whose implications can only be felt in the long term. This study aims to formulate an academic supervision management system as well as the implications arising from the existence of the system in question. This research is qualitative research with a case study type where the process of extracting data is by conducting interviews, observation and documentation. Checking data using extended participation, persistence, and triangulation. Meanwhile, the analysis uses the stages of data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. This study resulted in the finding that the academic supervision management system at MTsN 3 Ponorogo is a collaborative-based academic supervision whose supervisor consists of the principal, deputy of principal, and senior teachers with a supervision management cycle consisting of planning, implementation, evaluation and follow-up supervision. The implementation of academic supervision brings changes in understanding for teachers both conceptually and technically, namely knowledge of making learning tools, understanding of student behavior and characteristics, understanding of the use of information technology in the learning process, teacher interest in making changes in attitudes and performance. improve better, and the implementation of learning evaluations is more varied and complex. However, this research needs to be studied from a quantitative perspective to determine how much influence the implementation of academic supervision has on each aspects of teacher pedagogical competence that are not covered in this research.

Abstract

This research is motivated by an academic problem in the form of a weak performance evaluation system in educational institutions. The issue of performance evaluation that is not maximized affects the quality of education. The preliminary research results in the field found that educators and education personnel perform at MAN 1 Ponorogo. The objectives of this study include three things, namely, describing and analyzing the process of evaluating the performance of educators and education personnel, evaluating the performance techniques of educators and education personnel, and the success of evaluating the performance of educators and education personnel in improving the quality of education. This research uses a qualitative approach with a case study type. Data collection was carried out using interviews, observation, and documentation techniques. The data analysis technique successively starts from data condensation, presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data were tested for validity through triangulation of techniques, sources, and length of time. The results of this study include: first, the performance evaluation process includes setting specific evaluation roles and objectives, dividing tasks to related human resources, checking and monitoring the performance of educators and education personnel, checking and monitoring the performance of educators and education personnel, assessing the performance of educators and education personnel, and finally conveying the results of performance evaluation assessments. Second, performance evaluation techniques include direct techniques in carrying out supervision actions to educators and indirect techniques in assessing Employee Performance Targets (SKP) to educators and education personnel. Third, the success of improving the quality of education is marked by the achievement of quality improvement indicators used. The results of this study indicate that performance evaluation that is carried out optimally is in line with improving the quality of education

Abstract

Vocational high school is a secondary education program that prepares students to work in a particular field. Source Alfaria Triijaya Tbk (Alfamart) with the Alfamart Class program to help students prepare themselves for ready to work. The purpose of this study is to analyze the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Alfamart Class program in student career development. This study uses a qualitative research type that uses data collection techniques such as interviews, observations, and documentation. At the same time, the data analysis process uses data collection, data condensation, data presentation, and concluding. The results show that the Alfamart Class program is planned before the new school year with involvement from the school community and Alfamart. Program objectives, strategies, and preparation are determined before implementation. The Alfamart Class program was implemented by the East Java Provincial Government, with leaders playing a crucial role in mobilizing members. This program addresses students' career development needs by considering existing supporting and inhibiting factors. Strategies are essensial to achieving goals. The Alfamart Class program at SMKN 1 Ponorogo was evaluated. The evaluation aimed to collect obstacles, identify program obstacles, and carry out follow-up based on the evaluation results. The evaluation showed an increase in students' knowledge and skills. 85% of the students continue their careers at Alfamart.
