Abstract

The aim of research is to improve student learning outcomes through the application of contextual learning models in science subjects in class V at SDN 15 Limboto Barat. The method used classroom action research with research subjects namely 34 class V students. This research was carried out in the form of a cycle and each cycle consists of 4 stages, namely the planning stage, implementation stage, observation and reflection stage. This research shows student learning outcomes throughout the research implementation have increased. This is shown by the low learning outcomes at the time of initial observation reach 41.18% in the poor category. After taking action, the learning outcomes in cycle I were 67.64% in the quite good category. In cycle II it increased by 94.11% with a very good category according to KKM ≥70. Thus, the action hypothesis which asks if teachers use a contextual learning model, then student learning outcomes in Class V science subjects at SDN 15 Limboto Barat can increase, is relatively acceptable. Having achieved the provision of actions from cycle I to cycle II, the researcher ended the meeting in cycle II, the second meeting, because it had met the predetermined performance indicators, namely ≥ 80%.

Abstract

The problem in this study is "Improving Student Learning Outcomes in the material of ethnic and religious diversity in my country. Class IV Pkn Subjects through a Portfolio-Based Learning Model at SDN 4 Bone, Bone Bolango Regency?" The purpose of this study was to improve student learning outcomes in the material of ethnic and religious diversity in my country. Class IV Pkn Subjects through a Portfolio-Based Learning Model at SDN 4 Bone, Bone Bolango Regency. The method used in this research is Classroom Action Research (CAR) which is carried out in 2 cycles. Data collection techniques in this study were in the form of teacher activity observation, student activity observation, interviews, tests, and documentation. Initial observations of students' learning outcomes the average student in the material of ethnic and religious diversity in my country (29%) or 5 students who have completed and (71%) or 12 students who have not completed. In the implementation of the first cycle class action, only 12 students (71%). In the second cycle it increased to 15 people (88%). From the results of the research and discussion conducted, the study of student learning outcomes on the material of ethnic and religious diversity in my country using the Class IV Portfolio-Based Learning Model of SDN 4 Bone, Bone Bolango Regency increased.

Abstract

: This research aims to determine how the PAKEM approach can improve the beginning reading ability of grade 1 students at SDN 15 Limboto Barat. This is motivated by the low ability of students in the beginning reading. This study uses the method of classroom action research (CAR) from Kemis & Mc Taggart, carried out with two cycles. . The research subjects were 20 students, with 11 male students and nine female students. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, tests, interviews, and documentation. The research instruments used were teacher activity instruments, student activities in the form of a checklist, and a sheet of beginning reading skills, including Indicators of the ability to pronounce, spell, pronounce and understand. The results showed that students beginning reading ability in the initial observation of 18 people, or 90% of students, were unable to read the beginning, according to KKM ≥ 75. After the action in cycle I, nine students, or 45%, were able and 11 students, or 55%, were unable. Furthermore, 18 students, or 90%, were able to in cycle II, and two students, or 10%, were unable. Remedial and parental guidance is given to students who cannot do so. Thus the action hypothesis, which states that "if the teacher uses the PAKEM approach, the beginning reading ability of grade I students of SDN 15 Limboto Barat will improve, is accepted".

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the beginning reading skills of first-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Limboto, Gorontalo Regency, through the use of animated media. The type of research used is classroom action research, with the research subjects being 19 first-grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 2 Limboto. The research employed observation, tests, and documentation techniques. The data analysis techniques included data on teacher activities, student activities, and students’ beginning reading skills. The results of the study showed that in the initial observation, 7 students (37%) were able to read at the beginning level. In the first cycle, 13 students (68%) demonstrated the ability, while in the second cycle, 18 students (95%) were able to read at the beginning level. Thus, it can be concluded that animated media can improve the beginning reading skills of first-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Limboto, Gorontalo Regency.

Abstract

This research aims to improve students’ ability to write news sentences through the use of picture media among fifth-grade students at SDN 11 Limboto, Gorontalo Regency. This research is a classroom action research involving 25 fifth-grade students of SDN 11 Limboto as the subjects. The data analysis techniques included data on teacher activities, student activities, and students’ speaking abilities. In the initial observation, only 7 students, or 28%, achieved mastery based on the minimum competency criterion (KKM) of 75. The results of the study in Cycle I showed that 17 students, or 68%, achieved mastery. In Cycle II, the number increased to 23 students, or 92%, indicating an improvement of 24%. Thus, it can be concluded that the use of picture media can enhance students’ writing skills in Indonesian language learning among fifth-grade students at SDN 11 Limboto.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve student learning outcomes through the use of the two stay two stray (TSTS) learning model in social studies subjects for class IV SDN 4 Telaga, Gorontalo Regency. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR), because this research is a form of reflective study by the perpetrators of the action. This research uses the Kemnis and Taggart models with the research subjects that will be used in the implementation of this classroom action research are fourth grade students at SDN 4 Telaga, Gorontalo Regency, totaling 28 students, consisting of 19 male students, and 9 female students. Data collection techniques used (1) observation, (2) interview guidelines, (3) tests and (4) documentation. Indicators of student success with completeness criteria (KKM) are 75 and classical completeness of 85%. The results showed the Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) learning model could improve the learning outcomes of class IV students at SDN 4 Telaga, Gorontalo Regency. The results of the initial observation, total completeness 26%, in the first cycle increased to 61% an increase in the second cycle 92.85%. In this action, the learning outcomes of students increase until they reach the specified completeness criteria

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to improve student learning outcomes in the subject of Civic Education (PKN) through the Jigsaw Cooperative Learning Model in Grade IV of SD Muhammadiyah 1 Limboto. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research with the research subjects being 29 fourth-grade students of SD Muhammadiyah 1 Limboto. This study employed observation, tests, and documentation techniques. Data analysis techniques were also used. The results showed that the initial observation reached 17%, categorized as poor. In the first cycle, it increased to 52%, and in the second cycle, it improved to 86%, categorized as good. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Jigsaw cooperative learning model can improve students’ learning outcomes in Civic Education in Grade IV of SD Muhammadiyah 1 Limboto, Gorontalo Regency.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the application of the Time Game Tournament (TGT) learning model in science subjects. This research uses qualitative methods with data collection techniques, namely observation, interviews and documentation from primary data sources and secondary data. The data was analyzed by means of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The research results show that the implementation of the TGT learning model at SDN 1 Limboto has been implemented well, although there are still weaknesses in its implementation. This can be seen from research indicators, namely presentations in class, teams, games, tournaments and team awards. Of the five indicators, there are two indicators whose implementation is weak, namely Class Presentation and Games, while the Team, Tournament and Team Awards indicators have been implemented effectively. However, overall the implementation of the TGT model at SDN 1 Limboto has been implemented in facilitating the process and results in science learning. Based on this research, further research is recommended involving more participants and variations in the application of learning models.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the Principal's Role in Implementing Student Discipline at SDN 1 Limboto. This research uses a qualitative research type and uses a descriptive approach. The Principal’s Role in Implementing Student Discipline at SDN 1 Limboto is good. Indicators of school discipline include: having a record of attendance, giving awards to disciplined school members, having school rules, make school residents disciplined, and enforce the rules by providing fair sanctions for those who violate school rules. The role of the principal in implementing student discipline has been effective. The principal is sensitive to the environment, and can attend school every day so that can speak directly to all components of the school; the principal is a proactive leader.

The type of research used is classroom action research, with the research subjects being 19 first-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Limboto. The research employed observation, tests, and documentation techniques. The data analysis techniques included teacher activity data, student activity data, and student reading skill data. The results of the study showed that during the initial observation, 7 students (37%) demonstrated reading skills. In the first cycle, 13 students (68%) showed improvement, and in the second cycle, 18 students (95%) were skilled in reading. Thus, it can be concluded that the "Smart Pocket Board" game media can improve the reading skills of first-grade students at SD Muhammadiyah 2 Limboto.
