Abstract

The process of learning Indonesian in Class VIII-A of SMPN 6 Kediri experienced several obstacles. The problem is that the teacher only gives assignments or asks students to write poetry without being accompanied by unclear instructions on how to write the poem itself. Also because learning resources are only centered on textbooks. And what often happens is the low interest of students in poetry. After the daily test, it is known that only 53% of students have complete KKM scores. These data indicate that student learning outcomes are quite low. One solution to overcome this problem is by developing an appropriate definition model. The definition model is a model of writing poetry by giving a definition or meaning to something. The keywords that are usually used are: Students are invited to determine in advance the word to be defined. The next step students define the word in several definitions. After that, students are asked to add their definitions into definitions that can be contemplated or contain messages. Finally, students try to embellish the sound of the definition into poetry. With the patience and guidance of the teacher the definition model is able to improve the learning outcomes of Class VIII-A students of SMPN 6 Kediri in Indonesian language lessons on poetry writing materials.

Abstract

The education system that adapts to the post-Covid-19 era is marked by the "new normal" era. On the other hand, the transition of character education in the family environment brings a new problem, namely the lack of concept of character education in the family environment. Finally, there is the urgency of academic moral degradation in the millennial generation. Therefore, education is required to transform to provide strengthening character education in Indonesia. This study was conducted to determine students' understanding of character education and how students provide solutions to the threat of moral decline in the new normal era. This type of research is qualitative research. The sample selection used the accidental sampling method. With a sample of 24 from students in East Java. The data from this study were obtained from filling out questionnaires using Google Forms and distributing information through posters on Instagram. In this study, it was found that students already understood the importance of character education and could provide ways or solutions to shape character in the new normal era.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the increase in learning outcomes of Natural Sciences on atomic material after applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in class IXB UPTD Education Unit SMP Negeri 2 Bangsalsari Jember in the academic year 2021-2022 Semester 2. The research design used is classroom action research (classroom action research) in two cycles. Each cycle consists of two meetings which include planning, action, observation and reflection. The research subjects are students of class IXB for the academic year 2021-2022 semester 2 with a total of 25 students. The research was conducted from February to March 2022. The data collection method used the test and observation method. The research carried out concluded that the increase in learning outcomes in Natural Science of atomic material after applying the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in class IXB UPTD Education Unit SMP Negeri 2 Bangsalsari Jember in the 2021-2022 semester 2 academic year, amounted to 24% of the complete results. classical learning, namely the percentage of completeness in the first cycle of 72% increased to 96% in the second cycle. Meanwhile, the average value of students was 15.60 from the first cycle average of 74.80 which increased to 90.44. In addition, the PBL learning carried out also increases the activities of students from the high category.

Abstract

The teacher is the most important part in the implementation of learning activities so that it can create quality education, of course, in this case the teacher's performance will greatly affect the success of an education implementation. Low teacher performance will reduce the quality of education and vice versa high teacher performance will affect effective learning activities. A careful planning is needed if you want to get good results in learning activities. To find out how much the teacher's performance is, it is necessary to carry out continuous supervision of the principal. The principal is a functional teacher who is given the task of leading the school, including supervising the teachers. Supervision aims to help teachers who find difficulties in the process of learning activities and everything in it. In addition, supervision can also be used as a strategy to find out about the needs of schools that must be owned to support the smooth learning activities. In practice, supervision requires careful planning, so that it can streamline the results of principal supervision activities and improve teacher performance so that the quality of school education itself also increases. The purpose of this study is to understand and analyze: 1) How is the planning of Supervision by the Principal in Improving Teacher Performance at SDN 8 Purwakarta. 2) How is the implementation of academic supervision at SDN 8 Nagrikaler Purwakarta. 3) How is the evaluation of the principal's academic supervision in improving performance elementary School teacher. This study uses a qualitative approach. The data collection method is the approach taken to obtain information through observation, interviews and documentation.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, evaluation, constraints, and results of implementing classroom management strategies in improving the quality of educational services. This data was obtained through classroom teacher interviews, the results of which were supporting data from the main source and observations regarding classroom management. After collecting data, qualitative data analysis was carried out on the instrument. The results showed that the elementary school teachers studied had implemented the planning, implementation, and evaluation of classroom management strategies. Class management strategy constraints that occur can be overcome properly. The results of implementing the classroom management strategy can be seen from the improvement in the quality of student learning, teacher professionalism, and the school's physical environment.

Abstract

The purpose of this case study is to explore the percepation of Taiwanese middle school teachers on the implementation of digital technology in order to facilitate differentiated instructions and collaborative learning, ultimately enhancing the effectiveness and equity of learning environments in diverse classrooms. The researcher performed observations and semi-structured interviews with three proficient teachers with experience utilizing technology. The results demonstrate that teachers recognize ample potential and prospects in employing digital technology to tailor teaching methods and foster an equitable and supportive learning atmosphere.

Abstract

Based on interviews and observations from both class teachers and students, the learning process at SDN 3 Jatibanteng, Jatibanteng District, teachers still use a lot of methods which are dominated by the lecture method which makes the teacher the center of teaching and learning activities or teacher centered. The purposes of this study are 1) To find out the increase in social studies learning activities for 6th grade students at SDN 3 Jatibanteng in 2021-2022 after applying the Snowball Throwing cooperative learning model. 2) To find out the increase in social studies learning outcomes for 6th grade students at SDN 3 Jatibanteng in 2021-2022 after applying the Snowball Throwing type cooperative learning model. This study used two rounds of action research. Each round consists of four stages: design, activity and observation, reflection and revision. The target of this research is 6th grade students at SDN 3 Jatibanteng, Jatibanteng District, in 2021/2022. The data obtained is in the form of formative test results, observation sheets of teaching and learning activities. From the results of the analysis it was found that the activity and student learning outcomes increased from cycle I to cycle II. The conclusion from this study is that the Snowball Throwing type cooperative learning model has a positive effect on the activities and learning outcomes of grade 6 students at SDN 3 Jatibanteng, Jatibanteng District in 2021-2022, and this learning can be used as an alternative to social studies learning.

Abstract

Wabah pandemic Covid 19 makin tak terbendung dengan eskalasi sebaran yang kuat menjelajah ruang dan waktu pada skala luas dan cepat. Corona virus sudah bertransformasi menjadi pandemic dan memaksa manusia untuk membatasi ruang gerak interaksi antar sesama manusia. Protokol jaga jarak sosial dan fisik menjadi opsi untuk memutus rantai penyebaran. Tanpa terkecuali yang terdampak bencana global ini adalah aktivitas di tempat ibadah, pelayanan publik, dan lembaga pendidikan. Sekolah sebagai lembaga pendidikan formal dengan rutinitas kegiatan belajar mengajar konvensional tatap muka di ruangan kelas sangat merasakan imbasnya. Sejumlah agenda dan program telah dipetakan dan dijalankan untuk menjamin kesehatan dan keselamatan warga negara. Pemerintah juga telah menyusun peta jalan agar pembelajaran tetap berlangsung meskipun siswa diliburkan secara fisik. Kebijakan belajar dari rumah dengan platform pembelajaran jarak jauh menjadi alternatif solusinya. Surat Edaran Sekretaris Jenderal Kementerian Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Nomor 15 Tahun 2020 tentang Pedoman Penyelenggaraan Belajar Dari Rumah Dalam Masa Darurat Penyebaran COVID-19. Surat Edaran Menteri Pendidikan dan Kebudayaan Nomor 14 Tahun 2019 tentang Penyederhanaan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP). Dalam surat edaran tersebut dijelaskan bahwa RPP cukup satu lembar saja, namun bukan berarti lebih dari satu lembar tidak diperbolehkan. Yang pasti dalam sebuah RPP harus mencakup tujuan pembelajaran, langkah-langkah atau kegiatan pembelajaran dan asesmen atau penilaian. Pada fase ini keterampilan dan kreativitas guru mengimplementasikan strategi, metode, dan teknik pembelajaran sangat dibutuhkan. Jangan sampai siswa di rumah semakin terbebani oleh materi pelajaran yang berat dan di akhir pembelajaran diberi tugas berlebihan. Prinsip bahwa belajar itu sangat menyenangkan (enjoyfull learning) harus dikedepankan. Sebuah kendala bagi guru, karena harus meninggalkan strategi pembelajaran tatap muka ke strategi pembelajaran moda daring (BDR). Manfaat penelitian ini, khususnya bagi guru-guru yang menjadi subjek penelitian, adalah meningkatnya komitmen dan kemampuan guru. Sehingga dapat membuat RPP masa pandemi dan memudahkan guru dalam melaksanakan pembelajaran daring.

Abstract

Problems in learning mathematics that also occur in SMPN 2 Plosoklaten students based on the average grade VIII E student learning outcomes in the competency material for lines and angles have not been achieved to the maximum of 75%, the specified KKM is 76, so the presentation of learning completeness said not finished. Therefore, in carrying out the teaching and learning process, systematic steps are needed to achieve the predetermined goals, so the researchers used the Numbered Head Together (NHT) learning model. NHT is an informal structure approach in cooperative learning. In this study using the classroom action research method, which is a form of research that is reflective, is the development of learning methods and strategies by carrying out certain actions aimed at improving and enhancing the learning process. Student learning outcomes show an improvement when compared to learning outcomes in cycles 1, 2 and 3, this can be seen from the class average which has increased to 80.54 while the number of students who have completed has increased to 39 people, and the percentage of completeness is 97, 5%. Even though there is still 1 person who has not completed it, the child shows a rapid improvement, so remedial teaching is carried out.

Abstract

Based on the results of classroom supervision conducted by researchers as school principals on the ability of teachers at SDN Bakalan, Sumobito District, Jombang Regency, it shows that teachers often compose questions, both daily tests and midterm tests, are still guided by LKS. This means that the teachers arrange the questions by taking all or part of the LKS questions. In addition, the teachers at this school also used tests that had existed in previous years and then adapted them to the teaching materials. This situation makes the test inaccurate with the basic competencies required in the curriculum. This study aims to determine the increase in teachers' abilities in compiling evaluations of learning outcomes through Practice Feedback at SDN Bakalan, Sumobito District, Jombang Regency in the 1st semester of the 2022-2023 school year. The research method used was school action research. The conclusion of the results of this study is that through practice feedback can improve teachers' abilities in compiling evaluations of learning outcomes at SDN Bakalan, Sumobito District, Jombang Regency in the odd semester of the 2022-2023 school year. This is evident from the results of observations which show the results in cycle I the percentage of the teacher's ability to prepare evaluations of learning outcomes was 75.4% in the sufficient category, then increased in cycle II to 91.7% in the very good category. In addition, the supervision of school principals using the group discussion technique showed that teachers' readiness to participate in activities in cycle I obtained an average percentage of 78.6% in the good category and increased in cycle II to 97.9% in the very good category.
