Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the implementation of the independent curriculum and to analyze the impact arising from the implementation of the independent curriculum at the education unit level in the city of Semarang. This research is a quantitative descriptive study that aims to determine the implementation of IKM in each educational unit in the city of Semarang. The data collection instrument in this study used open and closed question questionnaires using Google Forms, as well as direct field surveys. According to the questionnaire and survey data from IKM, 74.1% of the participating educational institutions were public schools, while 25.9% were private. According to the IKM procedure, 92.6% of educational units indicated that they had received sufficient information, 3.9% indicated that they could, and 3.5% indicated that they had not. According to the study's findings, the Education unit first seeks out and investigates information on the Implementation of the Independent Curriculum from a variety of sources, analyzes the potential of the school, evaluates teacher readiness, and evaluates the readiness of learning facilities and infrastructure support. The Education Unit gathers and prepares the essential provisions for the Implementation of the Independent Curriculum registration procedure. It also assesses the foundation for the Implementation of the Independent Curriculum as well as potential outside intervention elements. There were numerous internal and external barriers discovered. There are efforts being made to study independently, participate in social gatherings, attend workshops and courses, and learn from a variety of sources

Abstract

Learning in the network (online) is a learning process that is carried out without meeting face to face and all forms of material are carried out online which makes student learning interest decrease. The type of research used in this study is qualitative research, while the approach in this study uses a descriptive approach. The purpose of this study was to describe students' interest in online learning experienced by class IVA students at SDN 1 Tertek Tulungagung. The subjects in this study were students of class IVA. Data collection techniques used in this study were questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The first indicator is feeling happy to get a total score of 303 with a percentage of 56% included in the medium category. The second indicator of involvement gets a total score of 292 with a percentage of 54% included in the medium category. The third indicator of interest gets a total score of 245 with a percentage of 55% included in the medium category. The fourth indicator is attention which gets a total score of 232 with a percentage of 65% included in the high category. The conclusion of this study is that the final score results from the percentage per indicator of student interest in learning obtain a total score of 230 with a percentage of 57% included in the medium category.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of the principal's academic supervision in improving teacher performance at SDIT Ya Bunayya Pujon, which is a formal educational institution that plays a role in improving human resources. Teachers as teaching staff are the main component and have a very important role in carrying out teaching in schools, so their competence must be fostered and developed through supervision activities. This study used a qualitative approach, data collection was carried out by interview techniques, participatory observation, and documentation. Data analysis using the Miles and Huberman model which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of the principal's academic supervision in improving teacher performance at SDIT Ya Bunayya Pujon is carried out by 1) Class Visits, 2) Class Observations, 3) Inter Visitations, 4) Personal Conversations, 5) Teacher Meetings

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether there is an influence of parenting style on aspects of the social-emotional development of children which will produce mentality that is able to compete at the elementary school level. This research is a quantitative study using pre-experimental either one or various aspects of social emotional development groups of third grade elementary school students who are observed to determine whether there is influence from the influence of parenting styles. The subjects of this study were the parents of 20 students of grade III Soromasen State Elementary School, 12 parents of YPK Yobi Elementary School, and 18 parents of YPK Sambrawai Elementary School. The data collection technique was in the form of distributing questionnaires to parents of third grade elementary school students. The data analysis technique for testing the hypothesis was carried out to find out whether there was or was not the influence of Parenting Patterns (X) on aspects of the social emotional development of third grade elementary school students (Y) partially. The data used is the t-test hypothesis used to determine the significance of the effect of the independent variables partially or individually on the dependent variable. Based on the results of the t test, it is known that sig 0.001 <0.05 or -1.092 > 0.2845, so there is a negative influence on parenting patterns on aspects of social emotional development of third grade elementary school students. The results of this study show the negative influence of parenting patterns on the emotional social development aspects of third grade elementary school students.

Abstract

Loss learning is a term used to describe learning that is not optimal in schools. The purpose of this research is to see if there is loss learning at SMP Insan Mandiri Bandar Lampung. The method used in the descriptive research with qualitative analysis of the location in this study was to take place at SMP Insan Mandiri Bandar Lampung with principals, waka and teachers as informants. The results in this study are that loss learning actually occurred before Covid-19, for example students who did not understand multiplication and other material. The emergence of Covid-19 exacerbated the emergence of loss learning at Insan Mandiri Middle School in the first year of only 10-20% but in the second year it reached 70-80% of students who experienced loss learning from various factors.

Abstract

This research examines the strengthening of student character education through learning management at MTs Ihyaul Islam Alaspandan. Learning management through the basic functions of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling to be applied to students in order to make character-educated students will certainly be useful for the progress of the nation and State as well as the ideals of the institution. Both parents need to be considered and endeavored by the institution as one of the efforts that greatly affect the success of students who will become responsible, trustworthy, disciplined, and character-educated leaders in the future. This research uses a qualitative approach of case study type with data collection techniques through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. The results of research on strengthening character education through learning management at MTs Ihyaul Islam Alaspandan use the essential functions of learning management planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling the character education of amal ma'ruf, nahi mungkar, hablun min Allah and hablun min annas students.

Abstract

This present research is motivated by the English day program applied at SMAN 1 West Sumatera. This research aims to find out how students perceive the English day program at SMAN 1 West Sumatra. This research used a qualitative method. The research informants were students of the tenth grade of SMAN 1 West Sumatra who took part in English day in the 2021/2022 academic year who were selected by purposive sampling technique. In this research, the researchers acts as the key instrument. Data collection techniques was interviews. Data collection tools were obtained from interview guides, recorders, and field notes. To test the validity of the data, the researchers conducted time triangulation. Data analysis was carried out in three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing and verification. The results of the data analysis show several students’ perception on English day program at SMAN 1 West Sumatera. The perceptions include: (1) enriching students’ vocabulary; (2) improving students’ grammar mastery; (3) enhancing students’ speaking skills; (4) improving students’ pronunciation; and (5) increasing students’ understanding of English. The negative perception, however, is English day program burdens the students with the punishment. These findings recommend English day program remain to conduct at SMAN 1 West Sumatera.

Abstract

WhatsApp is a widely used and widely used communication platform in education. The main objectives of this literature review are to identify the trends and challenges associated with using WhatsApp in education, explore the benefits and opportunities for students and teachers in using this platform for learning, and understand the challenges and limitations of using WhatsApp within the classroom setting. The literature was obtained through various databases using keywords related to WhatsApp and education. It is important for educators and administrators to be aware of the trends, opportunities, challenges, and opportunities associated with the using of WhatsApp. The increased usage of WhatsApp as a tool for communication and collaboration between students and teachers is one trend that has been identified in the research. The results of this literature review will contribute to the field of education and technology by highlighting the potential of WhatsApp as a tool for learning and providing insights on how it can be effectively integrated in classroom instruction. The article also discusses the need to consider privacy and security issues when using WhatsApp in education, and provides suggestions for further research.

Abstract

Children with special needs are children who have special characteristics and are different from other children. Students who have needs in teaching and learning require ways or methods and strategies as well as specially prepared media.The aims research is to describe a situation, condition and activities of teachers and students with special needs that are housed in the MB3+ Sidotopo Kepanjen, Kab. Malang. This research method uses a descriptive qualitative approach with inquiry uncovering, understanding, examining the contextual meaning of an object based on the participant's point of view from the findings in the field. The result analysis technique is by reducing, presenting and verifying the data. Sources of data were obtained from teachers, students, guardians, documentation and participating in activities at school. The results showed several types of children with special needs including autism, speech delay, deaf, speech impaired, mental retardation with a total of 20 students at the age of 3 years to 15 years. Teaching here uses methods and strategies including communication, assignments, instructions, prompts, cooperation, and creative programs that support the progress of child development.

Abstract

This research begins with the observation that we saw at SMKN North Luwu City that we found that there was quite a high incidence of physical bullying by students there. So that made us conduct research that aims to find out what forms of physical bullying behavior are carried out by students, what are the strategies of PAI teachers in dealing with physical bullying behavior in students and want to know what are the obstacles and solutions in dealing with these problems. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research type. The subjects in this study were PAI teachers and their supporting informants were school principals, student assistants, counseling teachers, teachers, security guards and students. This study used data collection techniques by observation, interviews with informants and documentation. To check the validity of the data obtained, we use a triangulation technique by re-collecting data if there is unclear data. Based on the data obtained, the following research results were found, namely forms of bullying by children such as pushing a friend's body, kicking, hitting, pushing the head, and so on. There are two strategies used by PAI teachers in dealing with bullying behavior physically, first by using the lecture strategy, namely giving directions and advice to students.
