Abstract

The recording and reporting of health data carried out by cadres mostly use manual methods. The shortcomings of using manual methods in reporting include missing data, data duplication, and reporting to the health center. In addition, reporting to the health center must be in the form of a neat file, and if it continues to be done manually, it can slow down the reporting process. Advanced technology can be used as a solution to these problems, such as data collection training for cadres to create Google form where the results will be in the form of files that are neatly inputted into spreadsheet without having to work twice. The purpose of this community service is to provide training to health cadres to increase their knowledge and skills and not be stuttering about technology because today’s era is entirely digital. In addition, it also aims to facilitate cadres in the process of recording and reporting. The method used in this community service is education on creating Google form and direct training. The results of the activity show an increase in pretest and posttest scores. The conclusion of community service is that there was an increase in knowledge and skills from 3 to 10 cadres after the posttest in the data collection training using Google form. The suggestion for future activities is to work together with village officials to help provide facilities and infrastructure, such as facilitating laptops for cadres.

Abstract

Non-communicable diseases (NCDs), the leading cause of death worldwide, require early preventive efforts through the promotion of healthy lifestyles in school settings. A situational analysis in Karangwuni Village, Weru, Sukoharjo, identified a high prevalence of hypertension, with limited early prevention focused on unhealthy eating patterns. Although SD N 1 Karangwuni has a dokter kecil program, nutrition-related health education remains minimal. This community service activity aimed to improve students’ knowledge through healthy food edugames as an early NCD prevention strategy. The activity involved 36 students and was conducted in three sessions: education, discussion, and games. The results showed high participant enthusiasm and a significant increase in knowledge after the intervention. Educational media in the form of a healthy food card game set was provided to the school’s UKS to support program sustainability.

Abstract

Stunting is a chronic nutritional problem that is still often found in Indonesia, including in Kudu Village, Baki Subdistrict, Sukoharjo District. One of the causes is the low knowledge of mothers regarding nutritional needs and stimulation of child growth and development. This community service activity aims to increase the knowledge of mothers of toddlers about balanced nutrition and child development through health counseling and demonstration of making Supplementary Feeding (PMT). The activity used a one group pre-test post-test design and involved 17 mothers of toddlers. The intervention was conducted through counseling and demonstrative practice of making PMT. Evaluation was conducted using a toddler nutrition knowledge questionnaire and PMT processing. Results showed significant improvements in nutrition knowledge scores (from 76.96 to 88.24; p=0.001) and PMT processing knowledge (from 74.02 to 87.26; p=0.000). It can be concluded that this educational approach is effective in improving mothers' knowledge and has the potential to support stunting prevention efforts at the community level. To maintain the sustainability of the program, it is recommended that this activity be part of the routine agenda of the Posyandu.

Abstract

Adolescence is a crucial period for growth and development. Health problems are one of the causes of growth and developmental disorders. The most common health problems experienced by adolescent girls, in particular, are malnutrition and anemia. Untreated anemia can become a chronic health problem in adolescents, affecting their current and future health. Undetected and untreated preconceptional malnutrition and anemia can progress to malnutrition (CED) and anemia in pregnant women. Anemia in pregnant women is often associated with poor pregnancy, birth, and child outcomes. Therefore, anemia screening in adolescents is crucial. However, this screening service is currently not routinely available. Providing the nutritional status examination and anemia screening activities by examining hemoglobin levels in grade XII female adolescents at SMK 2 Muhammadiyah Nguter Sukoharjo. Method: The method used to measure hemoglobin levels is the Cyanmethemoglobin method. Results: The results of anthropometric examinations showed that 14 students (51.85%) had good nutritional status and 13 students (48.1%) had poor nutritional status, consisting of 4 (14.8%) students experiencing obesity and 9 students (33.3%), including thin and very thin. The results of anemia screening showed that 17 students (62.9%) had anemia, and 10 students had normal hemoglobin levels (37.1%). Health check-up programs should be carried out routinely so that adolescents' health conditions can be monitored, and the results of the examinations need to be followed up by schools and community health centers through the provision of iron tablets, education, and guidance on healthy lifestyles by considering local cultural approaches.

Abstract

This community service program aims to enhance understanding and participation of individuals with Cerebral Palsy (CP) in adaptive sports by utilizing the BocciaGuard application as a classification support tool. The main issue faced by the partners is the limited screening and classification methods for CP athletes, which are still manually performed, leading to potential inaccuracies and unfair competition. The program implementation included scientific dissemination, interactive discussions, application training, and functional data-based classification simulations. Activities were conducted online and offline, involving physiotherapy students, academics, and practitioners from Indonesia and Japan. The results showed increased participants’ understanding of technology-based classification, improved skills in using the BocciaGuard application, and the establishment of international collaboration for machine learning-based innovation development. Program evaluation also indicated strong sustainability potential through joint research and similar initiatives at the global level. The program concluded that integrating technology into athlete classification processes can improve accuracy, efficiency, and competitive fairness in boccia sport.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) remains a major public health problem in Indonesia, including in Sukoharjo Regency. In 2022, the TB case detection rate in this area reached only 54.5% of the established target. TB causes significant impacts not only on health but also on social and economic aspects; therefore, comprehensive prevention and control efforts involving multiple stakeholders are essential. Adolescents and families, particularly mothers of toddlers, play an important role in preventing TB transmission through improved knowledge and healthy behaviors. Limited access to health information may lead to low levels of knowledge and increase the risk of TB transmission in the community. This community service activity aimed to increase knowledge about tuberculosis transmission among mothers of toddlers in Trangsan Village, Sukoharjo Regency. The activity involved 26 participants and was conducted offline through health education sessions and interactive discussions. Knowledge evaluation was carried out using pre-test and post-test assessments. The results showed an improvement in participants’ knowledge, as indicated by an increase in the average post-test score (8.9) compared to the pre-test score (7). These findings demonstrate that health education is effective in improving community knowledge regarding tuberculosis. Therefore, sustained commitment and collaboration among the community, primary healthcare centers, and the Sukoharjo Regency Health Office are necessary to ensure optimal implementation of TB prevention and control programs.
