Abstract

Teachers need the competencies to develop learning material especially module,considering that the development of learning material could contribute to the efficiencyand effectiveness of students learning process. Moreover, learning materials have asignificant role both for teachers and students in individual learning and classical orgroup learning context.Learning using module has some characteristics that are, self instruction, therecognition of individual differences, including the learning objectives/competencies, theoccurrence of existence, structure and knowledge order, the use of multimedia, studentsactive participation, direct reinforcement toward students’ respond, evaluation towardstudents learning.In order to develop module, we need to consider some techniques andcomponents required, such as: the course overview component, introduction, learningactivities, exercises, summary, formative test, and answer key for formative test andfollow up. On the other hand, to develop module we can use some techniques includingstarting from scratch, information repackaging, and compilation.The utilization of module in the learning process can be done in the context ofboth individual learning and group learning system.

Abstract

The purposes of this study were to examine the effects of cooperative learning approach ofStudent Teams-Achievement Divisions (STAD), the level of student’s learning motivation, andthe interaction of the two independent variabels to understanding on social studies in elementarystudent. Cooperative learning was compared to lecture recitation cycle using a quasiexperimentaldesign. An achievement test consisting of items from the state competency test, anda motivation to learn questionnaire adopted from Hari Witono were administered. The analysisof variance(Anova) was used to data analyse. Anova showed a significant difference among thedependent variables from the learning strategies used. There was also a significant difference instudent’s understanding on social studies between the high and low levels of motivation to learn.But there was no interaction between the learning strategis and the levels of motivation to learntowards understanding on social studies in elementary school.Based on these findings,it wassuggested that teacher need to use cooperative learning type STAD and motivate students tolearn, so student’s achievement, especially in social studies subject matter, increased.

Abstract

Persoalan kualitas guru dan pengelolaan layanan tenaga ahli kependidikan di Indonesiamasih menjadi persoalan besar. Program sertifikasi yang dilaksanakan dengan beragambentuk tetap menyisakan banyak persoalan. Sertifikasi seolah hanya menjadi programtambal sulam yang menangani hulu, sementara masalah hilir tidak pernah digarap denganserius. Rujukan dasar bagi pengembangan profesionalisme guru juga tidak jelas sehinggabanyak LPTK menjadi mandul. Paradigma pengembangan profesionalisme masih mengacudengan pendekatan proyek dan program-program pragmatis yang kurang menghargaipengalaman empiris guru sebagai tacit knowledge. Diperlukan reorientasi paradigmadengan memahami konsep belajar seorang profesional dan merevitalisasi pengembanganprofesionalisme guru ke arah pengembangan continuous authentic professional learning(CAPL). Diperlukan pula dukungan kebijakan dan apresiasi akademik kepada guru danmengurangi dominasi kontrol struktural-administratif. Lembaga penyelenggara (LPTK)memelukan penguatan kapasitas lembaga, menempatkan guru sebagai subyek belajar(center of learning), dan perbaikan program-program pendidikan guru pra jabatan dandalam jabatan dengan sistem perekrutan yang ketat sejak awal.

Abstract

Civic education is the subject that is very tight his connection with socialproblems. The problem that developed in the community when beingbrought to the classroom as the material instruction for the student,however difficult to be solved because abstract. Therefore the use of themedia really is needed in civic education learning. The teacher can use thesocial environment as the media in civic education learning. Using thesocial environment as the media instruction will make the teaching andlearning process more significant because the students are faced with thereal fact and condition naturally. There are some advantages that wereobtained from the activity studied the social environment in the teachingdan learning process, sttch as: the activity studied mort:? interesting anddid not bore, learned to be more significant, materials that were studiedmore rich and factual, the learning activity more comprehensive andactive, the studying source became richer, and the student moreunderstood and experienced aspects of the available life fully inenvironment.

Abstract

Pembelajaran online dimaksudkan untuk memudahkan proses belajar dengan memanfaatkan perangkat TIK, pembelajaran online memungkinkan belajar dapat dilangsungkan dimana dan kapan saja. Pembelajaran online meretas perbedaan waktu, jarak, biaya bahkan usia. Namun demikian dalam pembelajaran online ada kompetensi awal yang harus dimiliki oleh peserta didik maupun pendidik yang akan melangsungkan pembelajaran online diantaranya; kemandirian, kemampuan dalam menggunakan teknologi, kepribadian pembelajaran online, tanggungjawab belajar, motivasi tinggi, interaktif, serta kreatif dan inovatif. Kompetensi awal tersebut menjadi syarat terselenggaranya pembelajaran online yang lebih baik.

Abstract

One of function of kindergarten education is to develop readiness of student in entering elementary school education. This function is important, remember research result indicates that children that follow kindergarten education shows achievement learns better in elementary school is compared to pupils that not follow kindergarten education (Wylie, 1998). To develop deftness that related to readiness of school, Muijs Reynolds (2008:280) say some key deftnesses that must passed to kindergarten child, that is: social deftness, deftness communicates, and deftness related to behaviour in task solution. As for some learning methods that applicable to develop deftnesses obove, that is: playing, cooperative learning, drama and short sandiwara, demonstration, discussion, problem solving, and mengategorisasikan object.

Abstract

This action research was aimed at finding out of which instructionalmodel can improve the effectiveness of the teaching of early reading. Theaction research was conducted through several steps preliminary action,the formulation of instructional model, discussions to share researchconcepts, the implementation of actions, monitoring, reflection, andrevision.Research findings showed that the effectiveness and efficiency ofthe teaching improved because of (a) the teaching method which usedsound and media games, (b) stimulating students to think analytically andsyntecally, (c) classical teaching, (d) individual learning, (e) learningguided by care instructional material, and (f) grouping the material, (g)spelling, sentence variation.

Abstract

Delivering text simultaneously in written and spoken form is common in multimedia resentations.Nevertheless, the assumption that simultaneous presentations of written and auditory text is beneficial maybe erroneous. From a theoretical perspective, it is suggested that it persons are required to coordinate and stimultaneously process redundant material are such as written and spoken text, an excessive working memory load is generated. Working memory may be overburdened if instruction involves excessiveelements of novel information processed simultancously. The common instructional procedure (particularly in multimedia instructional) of presenting identical spoken and written material simultancously may need tobe avoided.

Tingginya mobilitas mahasiswa dalam memanfaatkan sumbersumberbelajar, seperti mengunjungi perpustakaan, mengikutidiskusi dalam forum akademik, dan rajin mengakses informasipengetahuan dalam jaringan media on line merupakan penunjangkualitas kegiatan pembelajaran di Perguruan Tinggi. Penelitian iniingin mengetahui bagaimana mobilitas mahasiswa dalam mencarisumber-sumber belajar dalam upaya meningkatkan pengembangan. kualitas akademiknya. Juga ingin mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor.. ~a yang ber~ubungan ~~nga~ ~obilitas mahasiswa dalam .mencar~· · .sumber belaJar. Peneht1an m1 menggunakan metodolog1 surva1: ) dalam usaha mencari, mengungkap, dan memberikan penjelasanterhadap isu di seputar pemanfaatan sumber belajar. Populasidalam penelitian ini adalah mahasiswa prodi Teknologi Pendidikan· FIP UNY sejumlah 200 mahasiswa. Pengambilan sampel sejumlahJ 00 orang dengan teknik random sampling. Analisis data yangdigunakan adalah statistik deskripif sede:: ana yang diperkuatdengan teknik deskriptifkualitatif.Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa 1 ingkat mobilitasmahasiswa Prodi Teknologi Pendidikan dalam mencari sumberbelajar berada dalam kategori sedang dan cenderung rendah.Kunjungan ke perpustakaan cenderung hanya memanfaatkanperpustakaan di seputar kampus, kepemilikait buku masuk dalamkategori rendah, sebagian besar mahasiswa memiliki buku dibawah 20 eksemplar dan belanja untuk pengadaan buku sebagianbesar di bawah Rp 25.000. Sementara itu frekuensi kunjungan kejaringan situs internet belum begitu tinggi, dan terdapatkecenderungan lebih terdorong oleh motif i'ekreatif daripada. motifedukatif. Rendahnya mobilitas mahasiswa tersebut terutamadipengaruhi oleh masih kurang memadainya kualitas perencanaanmengajar dosen dan minimnya fasilitas belajar mahasiswa.Sedangkan tingginya status sosial ekonomi mahasiswa tidakberhubungan secara cukup signifikan dengan tingginya mobilitasmahasiswa dalam mencari sumber belajar.
