Abstract

The aim of writing this article is to examine the issue of the nature of Islamic Educational Institutions in the family. The family as the smallest unit in the educational institutional structure has all the roles and responsibilities in carrying out educational activities which we know as informal education. One of the problems that occurs in the implementation of family education, especially Islamic education, concerns the role and responsibility of parents as the main party in overseeing children's education. The research in this article uses library research with data collection techniques referring to various articles from journals, the internet and similar sources according to the topic of discussion, so that all the data referred to can be processed and analyzed theoretically in the hope of producing a clear and accountable reasoning construct. scientifically. The results of research through the study in this article can be concluded that the essence of Islamic Education Institutions in the family is that the home is the first place of school for children and that parents are the first teachers or educators in instilling the basic values of Islamic Education in children.

Abstract

Sebagai sebuah agama, Islam bisa dikaji dalam berbagai pendekatan atau sudut pandang yang berbeda. Di dalam Al-Qur’an dan Hadits, sebagai sumber utama hukum Islam, masalah sosial (muamalah) lebih banyak disinggung dibanding masalah lainnya. Diantara cara memahami Islam adalah dengan sudut pandang sosiologi. Beberapa ahli sosiologi telah merancang teori pendekatan sosiologi agama. Dalam perkembangan studi Islam di Indonesia, Atho Mudzhar dikenal sebagai peletak dasar konsep pendekatan sosiologi dalam studi Islam. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pemikiran Atho Mudzhar tentang pendekatan sosiologi dalam studi Islam. Melaui metode kajian kepustakaan (library research) terhadap sumber-sumber literatur yang ada, penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa dalam pandangan Atho Mudzhar, Islam bukan hanya sebatas wahyu dan kepercayaan. Hubungan interaksi antara muslim dan pemeluk agama lain dalam kehidupan bermasyarakat merupakan gejala sosial. Oleh karena itu, pendekatan sosiologi dalam studi Islam sangat penting sebagimana pendeketan laiinya. Ia juga menyusun metodologi penelitian dengan pendekatan sosiologi.

Abstract

The integration of character education in PAI learning at SMK Bina Harapan, Sumedang, aims to foster students' emotional intelligence. This research uses a qualitative method with a case study design, the researcher as the main instrument, with interview, observation, and documentation methods. Data were analyzed descriptively qualitatively by following the three steps of Miles and Huberman: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validation was done through triangulation. The results showed that the implementation of character education-based PAI learning is based on the implementation of the character education curriculum by SMK Bina Harapan, the curriculum is designed with a philosophical foundation to equip students as human resources who are ready to face the demands of the labor market and modern culture. The curriculum integrates character education that is effective in fostering students' emotional intelligence through the PAI learning process. Through Goleman's five aspects of emotional intelligence approach (self-awareness, self-regulation, Motivation, empathy, and Social skills), students are guided to manage emotions, increase Motivation, and strengthen Social skills. Strategies such as journaling, reflection, group discussions with reflective and inclusive methods, and counseling guidance help shape positive character and create a learning environment that supports emotional and social development, as well as having strong moral integrity in accessing and using technology, which can provide positives (community contribution, creating innovative solutions, building social networks, and encouraging ethical values in the use of technology), become the main hope that digital progress towards students does not in the least sacrifice human values that undermine morality.

Abstract

Hermeneutics is one of the methods for understanding texts. In its development, hermeneutics was also used in understanding the book of Turats Islamy. Some modern Islamic intellectuals tried to apply hermeneutics to Turats Islamy. Among these Muslim intellectuals were Nasr Hamid Abu Zaid and Muhammad Arkoun. The research method used in this article is qualitative research. Qualitative research methods are used because the purpose of this paper is interpretation. This research refers to the critical paradigm by originating from the hermeneutic understanding of Nasr Hamid Abu Zaid and Muhammad Arkoun in a descriptive form in the form of hermeneutic understanding in the Book of Turats Islamy. Research data were obtained from journals and other sources related to the hermeneutic thought of Nasr Hamid Abu Zaid and Muhammad Arkoun. The results of this research analysis prove that the hermeneutic thinking of Nasr Hamid Abu Zaid and Muhammad Arkoun is the same using history-based hermeneutics. Understanding the book of Islamic turats according to Nasr Hamid Abu Zaid and Muhammad Arkoun must understand the aspects and stages of history behind the book of turats.

Abstract

The writing of this article aims to examine several aspects that allow it to provide a fundamental conceptual understanding of educational teaching materials, including the basic concepts of materials, types and development of teaching materials. The writing of this article is a literature study. As for data collection, the author takes references from various journal articles and so on from sources that are in accordance with the topics discussed in this article, so that all data taken can be processed and analyzed properly. The conclusions in this article include that, (1) Teaching materials are a set of subject matter that refers to the curriculum system used with the aim of achieving predetermined competency standards and basic competencies; (2) Teaching materials have several urgent characteristics including self-instructional, integrated (self-contained), stand-alone, adaptive, and user-friendly; (3) Educational teaching materials have various types, including printed and non-printed teaching materials. Examples of printed teaching materials include books, modules, brochures, and LKPD. The non-print teaching materials include audio visual, such as video/film, Video Compact Disc (VCD), then audio forms, such as radio, cassettes, audio Compact Disc (CD), vinyl records (PH), visual forms such as photos, pictures, models / packages. And the last is in the form of multi-media, such as interactive CDs, Computer Based and the Internet; (4) Development of teaching materials means an effort to improve the aspects of the usefulness of teaching materials in education so that they can be developed as widely as possible, so that it is possible to have an optimal positive effect on educational goals in accordance with what is expected.

Abstract

Isti'adzah is a form of request from a servant to his Lord for protection, as in the Qur'an, Allah teaches his lovers to do Isti'adzah. In connection with the phenomenon that has occurred recently, where many people say isti'adzah but it is only a formality without understanding the meaning behind it. So, this paper contains an analysis of Ruh Al-Ma'ani's interpretation of isti'adzah verses in order to reveal the true meaning of isti'adzah. This article is qualitative in nature and the purpose of this research is that the isti'adzah uttered has an impact on the personality of a servant, especially the people around him. The results of this research are that in order to realize true quality isti'adzah, it is necessary to raise awareness of several characteristics that a servant must have, namely, taqwa, taddzakkur, tawakal, sincerity, and tawadhu'.

Abstract

This study discusses a comparative analysis between the Qur’an and the Bible regarding the concept of peace, as both religions consistently teach their followers to live in harmony, including in Islam and Christianity. Peace refers to a state in which there is no hostility, no conflict, and no war. The research method used in this article is a qualitative comparative method with a descriptive-analytical approach, by analyzing (describing) and comparing the concept of peace in the Qur’an and the Bible. The aim of this study is none other than to provide an interfaith perspective that can strengthen the foundation for interreligious dialogue. The results of this study reveal a comparison between the Qur’an and the Bible, in which both scriptures promote peace among their followers through the prohibition of violence, the emphasis on justice, and the encouragement of peace through freedom. The differences in the concept of peace between the Qur’an and the Bible include: in matters related to divinity, the Qur’an emphasizes peace through submission to Allah and obedience, whereas the Bible highlights peace through the reconciliation of sin by Jesus Christ. The Qur’an forbids violence but permits defensive war, while the New Testament teaches love and rejects physical violence. Despite these differences, both scriptures support the idea of universal peace.

Abstract

This paper discusses one of the renowned Muslim thinkers, Hassan Hanafi. This study will focus on the phenomenological and emancipatory interpretation methods proposed by Hassan Hanafi. This paper is analyzed descriptively using library sources, both through Hassan Hanafi's works and other related works. In general, it can be concluded that Hanafi formulated a methodology for interpreting the Qur'an not based on the established 'ulûm al-Qur'ân theories that have been widely used by Islamic scholars in interpreting the Qur'an, but rather through a philosophical approach, thus giving rise to a liberation hermeneutics. As a figure with a general idea of liberation theology, Hassan Hanafi employs phenomenology to unravel and utilizes an emancipatory perspective to mobilize.

Abstract

Character education plays an important role in shaping a person's character, especially in the era of disruption marked by the development of technology and globalization. In this context, Islamic education is expected to overcome moral challenges through strengthening character education. This study aims to understand the implementation of strengthening character education in Islamic education, identify the challenges faced, and propose appropriate strategies. The method used in this study is library research, which critically analyzes various related literature. The results of this study indicate that character education requires a holistic approach through the integration of Islamic values in the curriculum, the use of technology as a learning medium, the development of teacher competencies, and tri-center collaboration between families, schools, and communities. The challenges faced include the influence of technology that can hurt student morals, changes in socio-cultural values , and the readiness of teachers who are required to integrate digital media in Islamic education. The proposed strategy emphasizes cross-sector collaboration to create continuity in character education. By implementing this approach, Islamic education can produce a generation that is not only intellectually intelligent but also has a strong character, so that it can face the challenges of the digital era with strong Islamic moral values.

Abstract

This article aims to explore the basic framework and mapping of Deep Learning as a curriculum development in the era of the leadership of the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education of the Republic of Indonesia, Abdul Mu'ti. The writing method used by the author is a literature study method by conducting a literature review. This study is a collection of data from several journal articles related to the topic of study. This paper reveals that (1) Deep Learning is an approach that emphasizes the creation of a learning atmosphere and learning process that is conscious, meaningful, and joyful through holistic and integrated thinking, heart, taste, and exercise; (2) Deep Learning in the context of education policy in Indonesia refers to Regulation of the Minister of Primary and Secondary Education of the Republic of Indonesia Number 13 of 2025 concerning Amendments to Regulation of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Number 12 of 2024 concerning the Curriculum for Early Childhood Education, Primary Education, and Secondary Education. Basically, Deep Learning is not a completely new curriculum or what can be considered as the latest curriculum that degrades the previous curriculum. Rather, it is an approach that is already known and has become part of the Merdeka Curriculum; (3) Deep learning is supported by three pillars, namely mindful learning, meaningful learning, and joyful learning; and (4) The implementation of Deep Learning can have a significant positive impact on the quality of education, including improving the quality of learning. Although the concept of Deep Learning sounds promising, its implementation in the field is not without challenges. One of the main challenges is the uneven understanding of this concept among some parties.
