Abstract

The objective of this study is to identify the influence of pedagogical competence, personality competence and professional competence of a teacher on students' academic ability. Thus, teachers can design learning in accordance with the level of student development. The research methodology employed in this study is a quantitative approach utilizing a survey design. The target population for this research is class XII students at SMK Negeri 2 Garut, the sample amounted to 197 respondents, consisting of 151 men and 46 women. The findings indicated that the pedagogical and professional competencies of teachers positively and significantly impact the academic capabilities of students. However, teacher’s personality competence has no influence on student academic ability. There are several possible reasons for the absence of influence between these variables, including the different characteristics of students and teachers, where each student has a unique personality, background and learning preferences. While most students may benefit from teachers' personality competence, it is possible that some students do not respond in the same way or need different types of support.

Abstract

Child marriage is an ingrained social problem in Indonesia. The government has tried to prevent child marriage with various policies, one of which is by raising the minimum age of marriage for women to the same as men, namely 19 years, but after several years of implementation, cases of child marriage are still quite high in Indonesia. This fact is certainly very worrying, because child marriage will hamper the growth and development of children and even eliminate the basic rights that children should get such as the rights to education, health, civilian, free of discrimination and violence and other rights. Malang Regency, which contributed the highest number of child marriages in East Java in 2022, has carried out various policy programs that have succeeded in reducing the number of child marriages. This article analyzes the success of the child marriage prevention policy program in Malang District using descriptive qualitative research methods with Allan McConnell's Policy Success theory. This article explores the success of preventing child marriage from the program dimension and its level of success. The results show that in the program dimension, both the criteria for implementation according to objectives, achieving the expected results, and creating benefits for the target group fall into the Resilient Success category because behind the success of the program there are still a few discrepancies or failures in achieving goals.

Abstract

This article aims to discuss how Village Development in Indonesia takes an integrated rural development approach. We use a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to explore how research uses IRD in Village development in Indonesia and identify areas for further research. The steps based on the PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta Analysis) method because it is capable of providing a structured procedure in the SLR approach. The PRISMA method is used to help search for various literature, as well as identify inclusion and exclusion criteria for selecting literature material. This study found that several studies used this approach in 8 (eight) areas which include agricultural development, infrastructure development, sustainable livestock development, community empowerment, settlement development, resource development, deliberation and tourism development. IRD is used as a tool to reconfigure Village Development by taking into account social capital, culture, the environment and local knowledge. IRD was oriented towards community welfare and the principles of justice.  IRD strives to increase productivity, infrastructure income and social development in rural areas. Therefore, the important element in this concept is the involvement of local communities in development. IRD is comprehensive and based on a system that places production and social components in a balanced position. This study identifies several areas that have not been covered in the implementation of IRD and, which are considered to be its limitations, such as its relationship to innovation and knowledge of local communities and how these things influence Village Development and demographic factors
