The training participants were 18 teachers who are members of the Harapan Bunda learning community, Semarang. The integrated E-Comic-making problem-solving training with digital assessments was carried out through a group-based, comprehensive, and human resource-based approach. Furthermore, the three methods were implemented in four stages, namely (a) socialization; (b) competency improvement; (c) action mentoring, and (d) monitoring and evaluation. The training was conducted for one month with two offline meetings and the rest was mentored online. After being given training in making E-Comic s and digital assessments through Live worksheets, it showed that there was an increase in teacher understanding of the material for making E-Comic s by 71%, there was an increase in teacher understanding in utilizing technology to create interactive and interesting learning materials by 53%. Teachers were also able to integrate E-Comic s and live worksheets with digital assessments to develop a more comprehensive learning experience by 88%. Abstract

Indonesia has a high level of plant species diversity and can be utilized by the community. The utilization of these plants has not been widely used by the community in North Maluku, therefore it is important to socialize activities to the community in order to increase public knowledge about multipurpose plants. The service activity was carried out in May 2024. The service participants were community members from Bangko Hamlet, Dodinga Village, West Halmahera Regency. Service activities are carried out by presenting material and providing plant seeds to the community. There are seven types of multipurpose plants socialized, namely ginger (Zingiber officinale), turmeric (Curcuma domestica), lemongrass (Cymbopogon nardus), galangal (Alpinia galanga), galangal (Kaempferia galanga), celery (Apium graveolens), and blustru (Luffa cylindrica). To determine the level of community knowledge about multipurpose plants, pre-test and post-test activities were carried out. The results of the community service activities are that the community recognizes and can plant multipurpose plants in the yard and yard, and can utilize them sustainably.

Abstract

Campus park are one of the important elements in the college area. The presence of campus park as green open spaces can be used as a means of supporting lectures. Garden arrangements in campus park at the Faculty of Agriculture, Campus II, Gambesi, Khairun University, Ternate can add beauty, provide comfort and a fresh impression and can provide benefits for the environment and humans. The aim of this PKM activity is to identify the needs and desires of the campus community; both lecturers and students in designing campus parks and preparing campus park design concepts. PKM activities are divided into 5 stages, namely the preparation stage, survey of user needs, design, garden arrangement, and evaluation. The identified needs of park users include campus park facilities and conditions, vegetation and accessibility. The campus park designed by the PKM team does not change the shape of the existing park. Some of the things the team did were revamping the existing garden and adding several types of flowers and agricultural plants. The aim is to give a beautiful impression and produce food sources as part of the Agro-edutourism. The garden arrangement at Campus II of the Faculty of Agriculture, Khairun University was carried out by creating a park design without changing its original shape by rearranging the existing vegetation and adding several types of plants.

Abstract

The village of Talang Balai Baru 1, located in the sub-district of Tanjung Raja in the Ogan Ilir Regency, is characterized by a type of land known as lowland, locally called “lebak” land, which is characterized by low soil fertility. This factor, among others, contributes to a decrease in crop productivity. To address this challenge, it is imperative to employ organic fertilizer in optimal amounts. Specifically, the harvested straw is primarily incinerated, with a limited portion being utilized as chicken manure fertilizer. Despite the abundance of local resources like chicken manure and straw, they are underutilized. Therefore, there is a need to harness these resources for the production of organic fertilizers enriched with phosphate-solubilizing bacteria (PSB). This enriched organic fertilizer is expected to provide essential nutrients to plants and improve soil fertility, thereby boosting soil and crop productivity. The project, conducted from July 29, 2024, to August 27, 2024. The method employed in this study is counseling and socialization regarding the production of BPF-enriched organic fertilizer and its subsequent application by partner farmers. The results of this counseling and socialization demonstrate the high level of support among the residents of Talang Balai Baru 1 Village for this program, as evidenced by their ability to utilize BPF-enriched organic fertilizer on their respective fields. This will contribute to an enhancement in soil and plant productivity.

Abstract

Extension is an activity carried out to provide information or educate a group in order to gain more valuable knowledge. In the P3N KKN program, our extension program specializes in labeling and packaging, which will be carried out with the aim that Seri Kembang I village has the potential to process pineapple fruit. These products are Dodol, pineapple syrup, and pineapple fiber. However, this product is only known to local circles. Because there is no proper label and the product is still packaged simply. Then the next goal is that pineapple processing MSMEs and women farmers do not only focus on selling simply, but there is added value to the product commercially, as for the dodol and pineapple syrup products in Seri Kembang I Village, they always take part in activities such as exhibitions, national competitions, and competitions between villages in Ogan Ilir Regency. Dodol and pineapple syrup in Seri Kembang I Village already have many consumers but have not yet been commercialized. With this outreach activity, hoped that farmer groups and MSMEs in Seri Kembang I Village, Payaraman District will be able to be independent and can improve starting from packaging.

Abstract

Non-Timber Forest Products (NTFPs) are biological forest products, both vegetable and animal and their derivatives originating from forests except wood. NTFPs have an important role for the community because they can increase household income, can improve the local economy, while still preserving forests. One of the NTFPs that people often use is medicinal plants. Community service activities are carried out by providing outreach to the community regarding the use of medicinal plants that can be used in daily life according to disease indications. The series of community service activities carried out are the delivery of Forestry Study Program activities, the delivery of material related to the use of medicinal plants, and the delivery of forestry books which can increase public information regarding the use of forests and forest products.
