Abstract

The School Principal (Kepsek) holds a crucial dual role as Administrator (managing resources) and Supervisor (academic oversight), a duality often resulting in conflicting priorities that challenge school effectiveness. This study aims to analyze the integration strategy of this dual role and its correlation with the realization of effective Instructional Leadership. The method used is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) of relevant scientific publications. The findings indicate that effective Kepsek successfully overcome time conflicts through Strategic Delegation of managerial tasks. The integration positions the administrative function as a foundation supporting the Kepsek to focus on academic supervision, coaching, and teacher professional development. The conclusion confirms that balancing the dual role is a fundamental prerequisite for improving overall teacher performance and educational quality.

Abstract

Educational administration and management are two interrelated concepts that contribute to the effective and efficient achievement of educational goals. This article aims to examine the scope of educational administration and management in the context of formal educational institutions, particularly at the school and university levels. Through a literature review approach, this article explores the basic concepts, functions, and differences and interrelationships between educational administration and management. The study findings indicate that educational administration encompasses a broader scope of work, including planning, organizing, directing, supervising, and evaluating educational policies and programs. Meanwhile, educational management focuses more on the process of managing resources such as educators, students, facilities, infrastructure, and finances to optimally achieve educational goals. Furthermore, this article highlights the challenges of implementing educational administration and management in the digital era, such as the demands of utilizing technology in school information systems and the need for adaptive leadership competencies. This study is expected to contribute to broadening the insights of academics and educational practitioners regarding the strategic role of administration and management in improving the quality of education in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research was motivated by the low learning outcomes of student , their lack of active participation during the learning process, and the use of conventional teaching models that tend to cause boredom in learning  figh among eleventh-grade-students at MAN Kota Solok. The purpose of this study was to determine : (1) students learning outcomes before the implementation of the Jigsaw learning model,( 2) student's learning outcomes after the implementation , and( 3)  the effect of the Jigsaw learning model on student's  fiqh learning outcomes . This study employe a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design using the one group Pretests-Posttest Design. The population consisted  of all eleventh-grade of MAN Kota Solok in the 2024/2025 academic year, while the sample was selected through Simple Random  Sampling, namely class XI IPK 2 at the experimental group. Data analysis using SPSS version 25 revealed that the average learning score increased  from 73,66 ( moderate category) before treatnent to 87,61 (high category) after applying the Jigsaw learning model. The t-test result showed a signifcan value of 0.000< 0.005 and count 6,131> t table 2.040 , indicating that Ha was accepted and H0 rejected. Therefore, it can be concluded that the Jigsaw learning model significantly improves studen's fiqh learning outcomes at MAN Kota Solok  Keywords : Jigsaw Learning Model, Learning Outcomes, Fiqh Learning

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of TikTok social media usage on students' learning interest in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at SMP PGRI 2 Cidahu Sukabumi. The research addresses the phenomenon of declining student interest in religious lessons amidst the widespread use of digital technology among teenagers. Using a qualitative descriptive approach with triangulation methods, data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies over six months. Findings indicate that students' interest in PAI learning remains high with 85% active participation, supported by interactive teaching methods and positive teacher-student relationships. TikTok Islamic content contributes significantly to increasing learning interest, with 75% of students accessing religious content and 63% acknowledging its positive influence. However, the platform presents a dual impact: while educational religious content enhances understanding and character building, excessive use causes learning concentration disturbances and time management issues. The study concludes that optimizing PAI learning in the digital era requires balanced integration between conventional approaches and digital media utilization, emphasizing direct worship practices and religious character development through intensive mentoring and digital literacy education.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the epistemology of Islamic education during the Dutch colonial period and its implications for the emergence of educational dichotomy in Indonesia. The research employs a qualitative approach with a library research method through the exploration of historical literature and conceptual analysis of relevant primary and secondary sources, including colonial educational archives, scholarly works, and the writings of Islamic reformers. The findings reveal that during the colonial era, Islamic education experienced epistemological marginalization due to the Dutch ethical policy emphasizing secular and rationalistic education. Meanwhile, Islamic institutions such as pesantren, surau, and madrasah maintained a knowledge paradigm rooted in revelation and classical scholarly traditions. The tension between these two systems generated an epistemological dualism that separated religious and secular sciences.  The Western paradigm, which divorced spirituality from rationality, later influenced postcolonial educational policy, marginalizing moral and religious values within the modern education system. In the contemporary context, this dichotomy persists through the division between general and religious education, with an evaluation system prioritizing cognitive achievements over affective and spiritual dimensions. Therefore, reconstructing the epistemology of Islamic education is essential to harmonize revelation and reason, integrating both religious and modern sciences to create a holistic, civilized education system grounded in tawhid, morality, and humanity.

Abstract

The development of digital technology has encouraged the use of social media as a learning tool, including in Islamic Religious Education (PAI). However, the use of social media requires not only technical skills but also ethical literacy to ensure that learning interactions align with moral values and Islamic teachings. This study aims to analyze the implementation of ethical practices in social media use within PAI learning by examining the ethical literacy gap among students across various platforms such as Telegram, Discord, Threads, and LinkedIn Edu. Using a qualitative method with a case study approach, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation of digital learning activities. The findings reveal that although social media has been utilized for discussion and collaboration, there remains a low level of ethical awareness, such as impolite communication, inappropriate language use, and plagiarism. These findings emphasize the importance of integrating digital ethical literacy to ensure that PAI learning is effective, productive, and grounded in Islamic values, while also strengthening the role of educators as facilitators of digital ethics in the era of social media based learning

Abstract

This paper discusses the structure of organization in educational institutions in general. The purpose of this study is to describe the definition, function, and importance of organizational structure in managing an educational institution. The method used is literature review by collecting data from books and journals related to education management. The results show that organizational structure is essential to define roles, authority, communication flow, and coordination among members of the institution. A well-structured organization contributes to the achievement of educational goals, decision-making effectiveness, and institutional development.

Abstract

Problem solving and decision-making are two interrelated cognitive skills that play a crucial role in various contexts, both individual and organizational. The problem-solving process involves identifying issues, analyzing causes, formulating alternative solutions, and evaluating outcomes. Meanwhile, decision-making focuses on selecting the best course of action from available options based on rational criteria and situational considerations. Research on these two concepts shows that a systematic approach, the use of accurate data, and critical thinking skills can improve decision effectiveness. Furthermore, psychological factors such as intuition, cognitive biases, and experience also influence the quality of decisions. By understanding the relationship between problem solving and decision-making, individuals and organizations can optimize strategies to address challenges and achieve goals more efficiently

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the application of SWOT analysis in improving the effectiveness of strategic management in elementary schools. SWOT analysis is used as a tool to identify various internal and external factors that influence the success of educational institutions in achieving their strategic goals. Through this approach, schools can identify strengths such as competent teaching staff and adequate facilities, while simultaneously understanding weaknesses such as limited resources and lack of learning innovation. Furthermore, opportunities arising from technological developments, government support, and increasing public awareness of the importance of basic education can be optimally utilized. On the other hand, threats such as increased competition between schools and changes in the social environment need to be anticipated with appropriate strategies. The analysis results show that the application of SWOT-based strategic management enables educational institutions to develop more focused, adaptive plans that are oriented toward improving the quality of learning. With a comprehensive understanding of internal and external conditions, elementary schools are able to establish effective strategic policies to achieve the institution's vision and mission. Overall, SWOT analysis plays a crucial role as a foundation for strengthening the competitiveness, management efficiency, and sustainability of educational institutions in an era of dynamic change.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze strategies to overcome the challenges of implementing strategy formulation in educational institutions facing resource limitations. This study uses a literature review method by reviewing various scientific sources such as articles, journals, and books relevant to the research topic. The results indicate that the main challenge in implementing strategy formulation in educational institutions is the mismatch between limited resources and overly ambitious institutional goals. To overcome this, it is necessary to implement a strategy formulation based on the reality of resources through steps such as educational resource audits, strategic priority setting, and ongoing monitoring and evaluation mechanisms. With this approach, educational institutions can develop policies that are more adaptive, realistic, and oriented towards improving the quality of learning despite resource limitations.
