Abstract

The Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Project (P-5) is one of the national programs applied to educational units, including in junior high school social studies subjects. Social studies education has a high relevance to P5 in terms of objectives and subject matter. But in its implementation P5 still faces many obstacles. This study aims to analyze the problems faced by students in the implementation of P5 in SMP Negeri 16 Bengkulu City. The research was conducted using descriptive qualitative method. The objects of research are students, teachers and the person in charge of the project. Data were collected through interviews, questionnaires and documentation and then analyzed using the Milles and Huberman model. The results showed that there were 4 main problems for students in implementing P5 in SMP negeri 16 Bengkulu City, namely: limited facilities and resources; 2) lack of support from parents and external parties; 3) many other tasks outside the project; and 4) technical obstacles. From these results it can be concluded that the implementation of P5 in social studies learning at SMP Negeri 16 Bengkulu City has been running but still faces obstacles that need to be resolved by the teachers and the school.

Abstract

This article discusses the function of correctional guardians in general and examines in more depth their role ini the process of assimilation, parole and leave for release for prisoners studied at the Pondok Bambu Class I Detention Center. This research was conducted using qualitative descriptive analysis method with a juridical approach. Data was collected through in-depth interview and literature study and then analyzed using interactive model. The resrach results show that there are still prisoners who do not exercise their right in the assimilation, conditional release and leave for release programs. Several influencing factors are grouprd into three factors, namely awareness factor in exercising their right, whether the prisoner has sufficient knowledge or not then procedural and technical factors. From the facts researched, it focuses on the study regarding when the correctional guardians duties as a companion are directly related to the process of fulfilling the rights of correctional inmates, where the role as facilitator, communicator and motivator for prisoners during the development process in carried out in accordance with the rules, able to encourage increased fulfillment of right. This then an inpact on reducing the risk of excess capacity at the Pondok Bambu Class I Detention Center. In the end, this paper in expected to axplain the meaning, duties, obligations and authotority as well as analysis regarding roles and implementation as well as field facts which ultimately provide conslusions and suggestions that will be useful for fulfuling the rights or inmates in correctional facilities and maximizing the task of mentoring in term of coaching and mentoring inmates as intended mandated by law.

Abstract

Online visitation services have an effect on the psychological condition of inmates. The purpose of this study is to find out the effect it has on the psychological condition of inmates through online visitation services at Lapas Class IIA Purwokerto. The method used in this study is qualitative descriptive, which describes directly the implementation to get information about the implementation of online visiting services and their effect on the psychological condition of inmates in Lapas Class IIA Purwokerto. Data collection techniques are carried out by means of direct observation observation, in-person interviews to inmates and literature studies to increase understanding and deepening of theory. The data that has been collected will be analyzed qualitatively and then presented descriptively. The results found differences in the behavior and psychological condition of inmates who often, rarely and never make visits. Inmates who often do relatively quieter, while inmates who rarely and never behave alone and pemurung.

Abstract

This study aims to improve learning participation through the role playing method in the subject of Social Studies class VII.8 at SMP Negeri 5 Padang. This type of research is classroom action research (CAR). The subjects of the study were 33 students of class VII.8 SMP Negeri 5 Padang. The object of this study is learning participation in the subject of Social Sciences through the application of the role playing method.  Data collection techniques used observation sheets, questionnaires, field notes and documentation. The data from the study were analyzed descriptively qualitatively. The results of this study indicate that the application of the role playing method in Social Studies learning can improve learning participation. For the aspect of learning participation in cycle I, participation in asking questions had a percentage of 53.57%, answering questions 52.38%, completing assignments 54.76%, discussing 52.38%, taking notes on lesson materials 55.95%, working on questions 53.57%, completing tests individually 53.57%, and concluding lesson materials 51.19%. In the action stage of cycle II, the percentage of each aspect increased from the results of the score obtained in cycle I, participation in asking questions had a percentage of 76.19%, answering questions 79.76%, completing assignments 82.14%, discussing 80.95%, taking notes on lesson materials 77.38%, working on questions 78.57%, completing tests individually 77.38%, and concluding lesson materials 77.38%.

Abstract

Japan that was devastated in World War II, in a relatively short time was able to rebuild itself, becoming one of the new powers in the world, in the fields of science, technology and economy. Those all were achieved through their superior and quality education system, so that Japan became one of the countries with the best education system in the world. This article was written to explore the philosophical and cultural values of the Japanese nation that have an impact on the progress of education in the country. The method used was qualitative research based on library research (literature study). The data sources in this research came from various literatures in the form of books, articles (print and online) related to the research theme, as well as document materials in the form of policies issued by the Japanese Embassy. The research findings found that the rapid development of Japanese education could not be separated from the philosophical values of the Japanese nation which originated from Confucianism teaching. In addition, the Japanese culture of Ganbatte Kudasai as the embodiment of the Bushido philosophy also encouraged the development of Japanese education.

Abstract

Bengkulu has many historical heritages that have the potential to be used as social studies learning resources in secondary schools. This research aims to: 1) describe the historical heritage used by social studies teachers at SMP Negeri 13 Bengkulu City as a social studies learning resource; 2) analyze the social studies teacher's strategy in utilizing historical heritage as a learning resource. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method. The research was conducted at SMP Negeri 13 Bengkulu City. Data collection was carried out using several techniques, namely in-depth interviews with teachers and students, teacher teaching observations and document analysis in the form of lesson plans and syllabi. Based on the research carried out, the results were obtained that: 1) there are three historical heritages in Bengkulu City which are used as social studies learning resources, namely Fort Marlborough, Bung Karno's residence and Fatmawati's house. These three historical relics were chosen by teachers as social studies learning resources because they are relevant to the learning topic and close to the students' environment; 2) in utilizing historical heritage as a social studies learning resource, teachers use field trip learning methods as the main strategy. This method is used because it is considered to arouse students' enthusiasm and attraction. Apart from that, teachers also utilize existing historical heritage through pictures, videos and visual aids/miniatures.

Abstract

The congested condition of the Class IIB Banjarnegara State Detention House (Rutan) is contradictory with the hope of providing maximum skills. The number of prisoners is not proportional to the officers and potential of the detention center. So with these conditions it does not provide maximum independence development. The purpose of this study was to determine the efforts to improve the skills of prisoners as a form of independence development at the Class IIB Banjarnegara Rutan. The method used is a phenomenological approach, through qualitative methods with interviews, observations and literature studies in data collection, data analysis techniques through the reduction stage, the results show that the strategy for improving the skills of prisoners carried out at the Class IIB Banjarnegara Rutan is through the existing independence development strategy. in prison. The results of the analysis show that the implementation of the Convict Skills Development program as a Form of Independence Development at the Banjarnegara Class IIB Rutan is currently ongoing even though in the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, the coaching program at the Banjarnegara Class IIB Rutan is divided into 2 (two) namely Personality Development and Independence Development. Skill development through self-reliance development activities is expected to create skilled and independent correctional inmates.

Abstract

Affective domain is one of essensial competencies in educational world, especially history learning. Therefore, effective competence must be included in the learning objectives, strategies, and also measurement. However, due to lack of knowledge, skills, and awareness, affective competence often do not receive serious ettention from teachers. The porpuses of this research is to conducted literature review about measurement of affective domain in history learning. Three focus in this study are: 1) hakekat affective competencies; 2) affective competencies in history learning; dan 3) measurement instrument of affective competencies in history learning.This research was conducted with library research. The research steps undertaken are: 1) preparing tools and equipment; 2) compiling a working bibliography; 3) arranging research time; 4) reading and making research notes, and 5) concluding and analyzing the results of the research. The results of the research showed that: 1)afecctive competence is one of three main competence in education, especially history learning. Some thing that are included in affective competence are attitutes, interests, values and morals; 2) affective competence is essesial domain in history learning. In history learning, affective competence are focus to some attitude and values such as nationalism and historical values (tolerance, social care, loving peace, enveromental care, fairness, responsibilities, and others; 3) measurement of affective competence in history learning can be done through some strategies, but the most cummonty used attitude skale.

Abstract

ABSTRACT:Socio-Cultural Changes in the Community of Ngembalrejo Village Due to the Advancement of Science and Technology. Socio-cultural change is a symptom of changing social and cultural conditions in a society. Socio-cultural changes are symptoms that always occur in every society. This study aims to: 1) describe the environmental conditions of the Ngembalrejo village. 2) describe the social activities of the community due to the advancement of science and technology. 3) describe the causes of socio-cultural changes in the context of the progress of science and technology. 4) describe the impact of socio-cultural changes for the people of Ngembalrejo village. Data was collected by interview techniques, as well as literature review, from books and journals related to socio-cultural changes due to the advancement of science and technology. The results of this study are: 1) local wisdom in the village of Ngembalrejo is a tradition of the community that contains values, and has been done for a long time from generation to generation, and has undergone changes. With the advancement of science and technology in the form of ideas and activities and about the relationship between humans and God, humans and humans, and their relationship with the environment. 2) the community views the importance of good social relations, in maintaining harmony. 3) there are causal factors and the impact of the changes in socio-cultural conditions of the village community which have resulted in differences in socio-cultural conditions in the previous year.ABSTRAK:Perubahan sosial budaya adalah gejala berubahnya kondisi sosial dan kebudayaan dalam suatu masyarakat. Perubahan sosial budaya merupakan gejala yang selalu terjadi pada setiap masyarakat.  Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk : 1) mendeskripsikan kondisi lingkungan desa Ngembalrejo. 2) mendeskripsikan aktivitas sosial masyarakat akibat kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. 3) mendeskripsikan penyebab perubahan sosial budaya masyarakat dalam kontek kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. 4) mendeskripsikan dampak perubahan sosial budaya bagi masyarakat desa Ngembalrejo. Data dikumpulkan dengan teknik wawancara, serta kajian kepustakaan, dari buku serta jurnal terkait perubahan sosial budaya akibat kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah : 1) kearifan lokal yang ada dalam desa ngembalrejo adalah tradisi masyarakat yang mengandung nilai-nilai, dan telah dilakukan sejak lama secara turun temurun, dan mengalami perubahan. Dengan adanya kemajuan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi dalam bentuk ide dan aktivitas serta tentang hubungan manusia dengan tuhan, manusia dengan manusia, serta hubungannya dengan lingkungan. 2) masyarakat memandang penting nya hubungan sosial yang baik, dalam menjaga keharmonisan. 3) terdapat faktor penyebab serta dampak dari adanya perubahan sosial budaya masyarakat desa yang mengakibatkan perbedaan kondisi sosial budaya pada tahun sebelumnya.

Abstract

The corona pandemic that has hit several countries, including Indonesia, has had a significant impact on the world of education, the corona virus is an infectious disease that can be prevented in several ways. One of them is by avoiding and limiting crowds. Based on this, the government instructed to carry out activities by working and studying from home. Of course, there has been a change in the learning method, from face-to-face to virtual face-to-face learning by relying on the network and internet data quota with a sophisticated technology application system, namely the Google Meet, Zoom and WhatsApp applications. Virtual face-to-face learning with these various applications is expected to be able to carry out learning while developing the value of character education in the face-to-face period. Based on the results of the questionnaire that has been answered, optimistically the Islamic character values are still being carried out in a fully effective manner, that is, ethical/manner values are still being implemented and maintained by lecturers and students, carrying out lecture duties and responsibilities by carrying out and presenting assignments properly and intelligence in using technology which is also a new culture in learning during the current pandemic.
