Abstract

The background of this research is to uncover the atmosphere, events and test the stigma that decision makers are men in a family building or institution. The three research subjects in Central Kalimantan wanted to convey that decision makers are often women. This phenomenon is essential and makes a difference between the results of previous research or the existence of a stigma that women's voices are often drowned out when decisions are made in family institutions. This research is a qualitative research with data search through interviews with 3 research subjects who are in Central Kalimantan as well as those from outside Central Kalimantan (Bandung and West Kalimantan). The research data search was conducted by recording, transcribing, and transferring important and relevant transcripts to the discussion results section. The results of this study indicate that consistently with the narratives raised by the three narrators or research subjects, Ykchomhhkahna, Dhckbokra and Mkhcelmatiys, the author found that the decision maker in the family is still dominated by the wife, especially in decision making related to children's needs and household needs. This is particularly pertinent as in some cases men are the decision-makers.

This research aims to examine the concept of philosophical progressivism and its application in Christian religious education in the contemporary era. The concept of philosophical progressivism has basic principles that are consistent with the goals of Christian religious education, namely to provide a holistic and critical understanding of Christianity and the surrounding environment. The results show that the application of philosophical progressivism in Christian religious education can improve the quality of education and relevance to the contemporary era. However, there are some challenges and obstacles that need to be overcome in its application. Therefore, teachers as implementers of Christian religious education need to pay attention to the basic principles of philosophical progressivism and be able to apply them in learning. This research is expected to provide recommendations for the development of Christian religious education curriculum in the future

Abstract

The purpose of this paper is to describe the development and experience of Sunday School teachers in terms of teaching. The authors analyze and describe from the perspective of Immanuel Kant. The opinion put forward by Kant is that morality comes from humans, there is an urge to be obligatory in an action. The research method used is phenomenological quantitative research method and analysis of journals. Kant's rational criticism has great potential in the teaching experience of Sunday school teachers, because basically Kant wants to provide God's workers with an understanding to understand the teachings of a religion with their own morals and logic, in order for the experience gained to have an impact on the surrounding environment and bring good changes to everyone.

Abstract

Death Note is one of popular manga (comic) and anime series in Japan. This comic series was created by Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. The main character, Light Yagami, is a high school student who discovers a black supernatural notebook. It simply titled “Death Note”. The death note grants user the ability to kill someone with the knowledge of the victim’s name and face by writing the victim's name while remembering his or her face. The series centers around Light Yagami’s attempt to create and rule a world “cleansed of evil” as a “God” using the death note. Death Note is full of symbolism from Roman overtones to literary masterpieces (Machbeth, Hamlet and Othello). Same with Macbeth, Light Yagami’s tragic flaw is also caused by his obsession with power. The power of the death note awakens great ambisions and leads him to murder and insanity protect what he has claimed. He should face a horrible death that is fitting to the way he lives. This is the basic premise of William Shakespeare’s tragedy and it is also the heart of Death Note. Furthermore, the main aim of this paper was to acknowledge to the readers the elements of Shakespearean tragedy in the anime Death Note.
