Abstract

This research explores teachers' experiences and views in implementing Merdeka Curriculum at SDN 105 Pekanbaru. Through semi-structured interviews with two teachers, this study found that Merdeka Curriculum offers a more flexible and student-centered approach, allowing the adjustment of teaching materials and learning methods according to local needs and student abilities. Although there are challenges in implementation, such as difficulties in creating learning media and the need for a variety of more creative methods, collaboration between teachers, the use of technology, and student motivation are key to success. This research concludes that Merdeka Curriculum has the potential to improve the quality of education at SDN 105 Pekanbaru, with opportunities for innovation, collaboration and great improvements in the quality of education

Abstract

In the context of increasingly competitive higher education, students often face various emotional and psychological challenges that can disrupt their mental and spiritual well-being. The approach of pastoral counseling oflers holistic support that integrates modern psychological principles with Christian faith values. This study aims to examine the role of pastoral counseling in building the spirituality of Christian students amid academic pressure. Through a literature review, this research investigates the methods and techniques used in pastoral counseling to assist students in managing stress, discovering their faith identity, and deepening their relationship with God. The findings indicate that pastoral counseling can serve as an eflective means of enhancing the spiritual resilience of students, as well as providing them with the necessary tools to cope with academic pressures. Approaches involving prayer, spiritual reflection, and the reinforcement of Christian identity have proven helpful for students in finding meaning and purpose in life amid challenges. Additionally, involvement in church communities is highlighted as a crucial aspect of supporting the process of recovery and spiritual growth. This research underscores the necessity for collaboration between educational institutions and churches in developing comprehensive pastoral counseling services, so that Christian students can grow in a balanced manner in both academic and spiritual aspects.

Abstract

This research aims to explore or analyze the narrative-based Christian education method with a focus on the story of Nehemiah (Nehemiah 1-6) as a tool for character building among students. The narrative method in Christian education offers an effective approach to convey moral and spiritual values through meaningful biblical stories. Through an in-depth analysis of the story of Nehemiah, this study identifies character values that can be taught, such as perseverance, leadership, cooperation, and integrity. In the educational context, the story of Nehemiah illustrates how a leader can face challenges and inspire their community to work together for a greater purpose. This research also discusses the application of the narrative method in the Christian education curriculum, including teaching strategies that involve discussions, creative projects, and the use of digital media. With this approach, it is expected that students will not only understand sacred texts but also internalize and apply these values in their daily lives. The findings of the study indicate that narrative-based Christian education can enhance student engagement, strengthen their understanding of religious teachings, and build character aligned with Christian values. This research recommends the use of narrative methods in teaching Christian education as an effort to make the learning experience more meaningful and relevant in the modern era.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to determine the employee recruitment strategy at Markazul Quran Bukittinggi, an educational institution that is commited to providing quality educational services for students and the community. In this effort, educational institutions need good public relations management to build a positive image, expand cooperation networks, and increase community participation in educational activities. Based on the results of research and discussions, it can be concluded that the implementation of recruitment and selection of teaching staff at Markazul Quran Bukittinggi has been in accordance with the stages that have been determined. The process includes planning, analysis of required positions, and determining requirements. Markazul Quran Bukittinggi prefers to recruit teachers from among their own alumni. Generally, the teachers here come from alumni of the school. Information about teacher vacancies is usually shared through alumni groups or through contact with alumni if there are vacant positions. If no alumni apply, they will recruit from outside by distributing brochures and using social media.

Abstract

The Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) policy has become a major focus in improving the quality of higher education in Indonesia. This policy analysis aims to explore the implementation of MBKM, the challenges faced, and its impact on students and higher education institutions. A qualitative approach collected data through a literature review and analysis of related policy documents. The analysis results indicate that MBKM provides significant benefits in expanding students' learning opportunities, enhancing graduates' competencies, and fostering creativity and independence. However, the implementation of MBKM also faces several challenges, such as expanding communication, improving facilities, and adapting policies at the institutional level. Nevertheless, MBKM is expected to bring positive changes to the higher education landscape in Indonesia by empowering students with a more active and autonomous role in their learning. Further research is needed to better understand the effectiveness and efficiency of MBKM implementation in Indonesia's higher education context.

Abstract

Student`s active learning create good learning. The purpose of this study was to increase student activity by using the Teams Game Tournament (TGT) type cooperative learning model for class IV science subjects at SDN Banjarsari Wetan 01 Dagangan Madiun. The subject in this research were 11 students of SDN Banjarsari Wetan 01 Dagangan Madiun, the procedure for implementation this classroom action research was carried out in a cyclicial form. The cycles consist of four stages namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. This research uses a collaborative PTK type which consisted of two cycles, cycles I and cycles II. Data collection techniques uses observation, documentation and field notes. The instrumens used in this research were observation, documentation and field notes. The data analysis techniques used were descriptive qualitative and quantitativeThe resluted of this research showed that there was an improvement in the resulted of cycle I and I I using the cooperative learning model of teams game tournament type for science subject. The resulted of the first cycle of research show that students' activeness reached 79% this still does not showed appropriate resulted because there were indicators of oral activity that were not appropiate. Therefore, reflection and improvement were carried out in cycle I and cycle .Cycle II showed that students' activeness reached 85%.This shows that there is an increase in the percentage of students' activeness in each cycle. The results of this research show that student activity using the TGT method in learning science can increase student activity in carrying out learning activities

Abstract

This study aims to improve numeracy skills through the use of counting board media (statues) in grade 1 students of SDN Banjarsari wetan 01 trading Madiun district. This study used classroom action research involving seven students as participants. The methods used by researchers are; data collection methods using tests. The results showed that the use of counting board media can significantly improve the numeracy ability of addition 1-20 in grade 1 students. The use of counting board media in mathematics learning with addition material 1-20 was stated to increase after using counting board media from pre cycle 1 with an average value of 50, cycle 1 experienced an increase in the average value of 65, cycle 2 experienced an increase in the average value of 80. This indicates that the use of counting board media is very effective in improving numeracy skills in grade 1 students.

Abstract

Early childhood is a period of rapid development that occurs in the developmental aspect and has potential that must be developed. Early childhood education is education intended for those who are in the age range of 0-6 years. Portfolio assessment is one of the evaluation methods used to collect, analyze information about the development and abilities of early childhood through a collection of works or documents they produce. The purpose of this study was to analyze and describe the process of implementing portfolio assessment in group B of Efrata Medan Private Kindergarten, to identify the criteria and indicators used in portfolio assessment in group B of Efrata Medan Private Kindergarten, to analyze data obtained from artifacts and to understand child development in Efrata Medan Private Kindergarten. This study uses a qualitative approach, data collection techniques used Document Analysis, Interviews and Documentation. The results of the portfolio assessment study in the Efrata Medan Private Kindergarten group showed good results, this is indicated by the assessment can be carried out more consistently and precisely, based on the academic, social, and motoric progress of students and provide more in-depth reports to parents.

Abstract

Assessment in early childhood education is divided into two types: formative assessment and summative assessment. Formative assessment helps evaluate ongoing learning, while summative assessment provides an overview of the final achievements of students during the learning process, which can be used for evaluative decision-making. This research focuses on formative assessment with the aim of analyzing its use in early childhood education at TK Swasta Plus Ulul Ilmi Islamic School in Medan Marelan. The method used in this study is descriptive qualitative research. The research was conducted from July 2024 to September 2024. The data sources in this study were three teachers from TK Swasta Plus Ulul Ilmi Islamic School Medan Marelan. The data collection techniques used were observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis was carried out using Miles and Huberman's data analysis stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Data validity was tested through triangulation. The results showed that the use of formative assessment in early childhood education at TK Swasta Plus Ulul Ilmi Islamic School Medan Marelan has been implemented fairly well. Four types of assessment instruments were used: anecdotal notes, checklists, series of photos, and student work. Data collection was also carried out through observation, performance tes, and portfolios

The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method. According to Meleong (2011:6), qualitative research is a method that aims to understand phenomena experienced by research subjects, such as behavior, perceptions, motivations, actions, and so on, holistically and describe them in the form of words and language in a natural context. using various appropriate methods.
