Abstract

AbstractThe current condition of the COVID-19 pandemic has changed the learning system, which wasoriginally fully face-to-face or blended, to be fully online. Skills lab, as one of the most routinemedical skills education methods in the undergraduate medical education phase, must alsoadapt its implementation by optimizing the full-online approach. Peyton's 4-stage of clinicalskill teaching is one of the approaches recommended by many medical education experts tofacilitate the online skills lab learning process during this pandemic.Keyword: Skills Lab, COVID-19, Pandemic, Online, distance learning, remote learning,Peyton's

Abstract

AbstractThe COVID-19 pandemic (Corona Virus Infection Disease 2019), which began in December2019, started in the city of Wuhan in China, has spread throughout the world, includingIndonesia. Various policies in all sectors have been changed to reduce the rate of increase inCovid-19 sufferers, but they have not shown satisfactory results with the increasing number ofCOVID-19 sufferers and have actually put the economy on the brink of recession. One of themis the Work From Home (WFH) and School From Home (SFH) policies. However, if we lookat the positive side, this policy restores the natural function of a woman to become a basicschool for her family, because by being at home, even career mothers will be able to controland handle their children directly without having to entrust them to school teachers andhousehold assistants, so that the relationship between mother and child will be betterintertwined and play an important role in the process of forming moral intelligence andcharacter building in childrenKeywords: COVID-19, parenting, mother and child

Abstract

AbstractCoagulopathy in SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) patients is an emerge situation to treat because itincreases morbidity and mortality. Increased levels of tPA indicate spontaneous fibrinolysis aswell as a significant increase in Fibrin / Fibrinogen degradation product (FDP) and D-dimerin Covid-19 patients. The invasion of the Covid-19 virus into the endothelial blood vesselscauses endothelial cell dysfunction, a decrease in the fibrinolytic function of the cells, whichpredisposes to thrombus formation. In severe cases, IL-6 which is also released due toendothelial damage predisposes to Sepsis-Induced Coagulopathy (SIC) and DisseminatedIntravascular Coagulation (DIC).Keywords: SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19), Coagulopathy, SIC, DIC.

Abstract

AbstractThe current COVID-19 pandemic has caused more than 1 million deaths, with more than 37million cases known worldwide. This condition affects health management, including malariainfection. There is a possibility that malaria's morbidity and mortality may increase due tobarriers to access to health facilities. This article aims to discuss malaria control in theCOVID-19 pandemic, including the adaptation of service procedures in Indonesia. The directresponse to COVID-19 must be integrated with malaria control efforts. Access to malariaservices must be ongoing, and malaria control such as the distribution of insecticide-treatedbed nets must still be done. Surveillance activities can be carried out while still paying attentionto the use of PPE according to the protocol for preventing the transmission of COVID-19.Keywords: covid-19, malaria, malaria control

Abstract

AbstracCovid-19 is a new viral infectious disease. The first appeared in Wuhan and became apandemic in 2 months. Clinical diagnosis is confirmed by fever, cough, shortness of breath, combined with lymphocyte neutrophil ratio examination and radiology imaging with chest Xray or chest C.T. with a ground-glass appearance. C.T. scans are not widely available inIndonesia hospital. Many hospitals only own X-Ray as radiologic diagnostic imaging for covid-19. Adobe Photoshop Express with digital imaging capabilities can improve the ability todiagnose Covid-19 from chest X-Ray because of software similarity like the radiologicworkstationKeyword: photoshop, covid-19, thorax plain x-ray, diagnosis, image

Abstract

AbstractOsteoporosis remains a very significant public health problem, causing high morbidity andmortality rates. Vitamin D deficiency (<50 nmol / L) is a worldwide epidemic with multipleimplications for human health. Inadequate serum 25-hydroxyvitamin D (25 (OH) D)concentrations are associated with muscle weakness, decreased physical performance, and anincreased likelihood of falls and fractures. Various studies have shown that higher serum 25(OH) D levels (at least 700 IU of vitamin D, especially cholecalciferol) will reduce theincidence of fractures. The problem of osteoporosis has been exacerbated by the COVID-19pandemic. As well known, COVID-19 is a respiratory tract infection caused by the new SARSCoV-2 virus. In general, this pandemic has caused deterioration of the economic and healthcare systems in many countries. Under difficult circumstances, recent research has shown thatoptimizing blood levels of vitamin D offers a solution that promises to reduce the risk of deathfrom COVID-19 infection. This literature review was aimed to discuss the role of calcium andvitamin D in the management of osteoporosis, pathological fractures (brittle fractures), andCOVID-19.Keywords: osteoporosis, vitamin D, COVID-19
