Abstract

Religious moderation is an approach that emphasizes tolerance, mutual respect, and the avoidance of extremism in practicing religion. This study aims to examine the role of student management in implementing the values of religious moderation in schools. A descriptive qualitative approach is used to provide a detailed overview of how planning, organizing, implementation, and evaluation in student management relate to the implementation of religious moderation in schools. The methods used in this study include interviews, observation, and documentation. The results show that the planning aspect of student management includes efforts to integrate religious moderation values through extracurricular curricula and religious activities. The implementation of religious moderation programs is carried out through activities such as discussions, seminars, and interfaith collaboration. The organizational process begins with an analysis of the current condition of students. This step is essential for understanding the students' situation and needs, allowing for more targeted programs. This research contributes to Islamic education by promoting a more inclusive educational environment.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology demands innovative educational strategies to enhance learning quality and engagement. This study aims to develop an interactive learning module integrating Augmented Reality (AR) technology through the Assemblr Edu application, specifically for the Islamic jurisprudence (Fiqh) subject, focusing on the topic of animal slaughtering. This development allows students to visualize the slaughtering process in 3D using Google Lens, thereby improving their conceptual understanding. The research applied a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model and was conducted over two months at MTsN 5 Bojonegoro. Participants included a content expert, a media expert, a Fiqh teacher, and students from class IX-D. Data were collected through expert validation sheets and student questionnaires, and analyzed using both qualitative and quantitative methods. The content expert validation yielded a score of 97,92%, the media expert validation reached 97.92%, and the practicality assessment achieved 95.83%, all falling under the category of "highly feasible." These results indicate that the AR-based learning module is pedagogically appropriate, media-efficient, and practical for classroom implementation.

Abstract

The rapid advancement of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology has significantly transformed various sectors, including higher education. This study aims to systematically review the impacts and implications of AI implementation within academic environments using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The findings reveal that AI contributes positively to personalized learning, administrative efficiency, and predictive analytics for identifying students at academic risk. However, the implementation of AI also presents notable challenges, including ethical concerns, data privacy issues, unequal access to technology, and potential overreliance on automated systems. This study recommends the development of clear institutional policies, AI literacy programs for educators and students, and the integration of AI systems that uphold pedagogical values. This review is expected to serve as a reference for formulating inclusive, ethical, and sustainable strategies for the use of AI in higher education.

Abstract

High academic pressure can trigger stress and anxiety among students, adversely affecting their mental health and academic performance. This study aims to examine the role of self-efficacy in reducing academic stress and anxiety, identify effective interventions, and map existing research gaps. A Systematic Literature Review (SLR) was conducted following the PRISMA protocol, searching the ScienceDirect and Google Scholar databases using Boolean search strategies within the 2019–2024 timeframe. Of the 100 articles initially identified, 11 met the inclusion criteria and were analyzed thematically. Findings indicate that self-efficacy plays a significant protective role, both directly and through the mediation of motivation, emotional regulation, and academic engagement. Effective interventions include CBT-based stress management training, self-directed learning programs, and the enhancement of regulatory emotional self-efficacy. This study underscores the importance of self-efficacy enhancement strategies as both preventive and curative measures in educational settings while encouraging longitudinal and cross-cultural research to strengthen empirical evidence.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) in education raises increasingly palpable concerns, particularly regarding the potential decline in students' critical thinking skills and learning independence. Excessive use of AI in completing academic tasks can foster a dependence on technology, replacing a learning process that should shape character and deep understanding. This study aims to measure the increase in students' knowledge related to neuromuscular topics through a peer education approach. This research was used a descriptive categorical method with a cross-sectional approach, designed with a pre-test and post-test design and the t-test used to determine the significance. The results of study indicate that learning using a peer education approach related to the topic of neuromuscular can significantly improve students' knowledge (p=0.001). Learning that uses an educational approach to peers can enhance students' knowledge about neuromuscular topics, thus this innovative learning approach can be used as an alternative method of learning.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the application of multiliteracy pedagogy in literature learning as an effort to train students' critical thinking skills. This research uses a conceptual analysis method based on existing literature resources with a berrypicking technique. The data collection technique was carried out with a literature search of documents, phenomena, and problems of multiliteracy pedagogy in Indonesia. The findings of this study provide the concept of multiliteracy pedagogy-based literature learning to train students' thinking skills through stages, namely exploration, critical analysis of literature, work production, and collaborative reflection. Through these stages students are encouraged to think critically, creatively, and analytically. Literary works are used to introduce students to complex themes, characters, and messages, so that they can observe, evaluate, and make judgements based on evidence. This research reinforces the concept of multiliteracies pedagogy as an innovative approach to literature learning, which includes the mastery of multimodal literacy (textual, visual and auditory) and higher-order thinking skills and connects multiliteracies pedagogy with 21st century learning dimensions, such as critical thinking, collaboration and creativity.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the implementation of educational ice breaking as a strategy to foster concentration and learning enthusiasm among fifth-grade students at MIS Sukawening. The research was motivated by the common phenomenon of student fatigue, lack of focus, and low participation during lessons, particularly after break sessions when energy levels tend to decrease. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, involving one classroom teacher and 25 students as participants. Data were collected through participatory observation, semi-structured interviews, and documentation of classroom activities. The findings reveal that educational ice breaking activities, designed in the form of thematic quizzes, concept-based games, short riddles, and simple physical exercises, successfully created a more engaging, dynamic, and inclusive learning atmosphere. These activities not only restored students’ focus but also enhanced their motivation, social interaction, and active participation in the learning process. Teachers reported that classroom management became easier, as the learning environment turned more conducive and filled with positive energy. These results align with previous studies which emphasize that educational ice breaking plays a significant role in improving interaction quality, learning outcomes, and students’ social development. Therefore, educational ice breaking deserves to be considered an integral strategy in elementary school lesson planning to create enjoyable, meaningful, and sustainable learning experiences.

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to examine the influence of English fairy tales on students’ reading comprehension in the 8th grade of SMP Negeri 1 Bulukumba. The study employed a quantitative method using a pre-experimental design with one group pre-test and post-test. A total of 27 students participated as the sample. Data were obtained from pre-test and post-test instruments, and analyzed through SPSS 26, focusing on descriptive statistics (mean, standard deviation, and frequency) and inferential statistics using a paired sample t-test. The results demonstrated a notable progress in students’ reading comprehension, where the mean score increased from 51.5 (classified as poor) to 74.3 (classified as average). The paired sample t-test revealed a significance value of 0.000 (p < 0.05), indicating that the null hypothesis was rejected while the alternative hypothesis was accepted. These findings confirm that the integration of English fairy tales as learning material and media significantly contributes to enhancing students’ reading comprehension. Therefore, the application of fairy tales can be considered an effective media in teaching reading to 8th-grade students.
