Abstract

Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based learning evaluation is efficient but lacks nuance and risks bias, and the integration of lecturer assessments into the system remains unclear. This study aims to systematically review Human-in-the-Loop (HITL) models to map lecturer roles and measure the impact of their interventions. The study used a literature review of Google Scholar, IEEE, ACM Digital Library, Scopus, dan ERIC databases (2016–2025) with empirical inclusion criteria; 15 studies were analyzed. The results show that while AI improves evaluation efficiency, three lecturer roles initiator, supervisor, and facilitator generally do not directly improve model accuracy. Conversely, the corrector role, which utilizes lecturer feedback for retraining, has the greatest potential for accuracy improvement, but empirical evidence remains limited. Therefore, a shift from simply “Human-in-the-Loop” to a structured feedback mechanism based on Intelligence Augmentation that enables lecturers to contribute to the continuous improvement of Artificial Intelligence models is needed.

Abstract

Educators in Islamic boarding schools serve as key role models in shaping students’ character, such as noble values, cooperation, and social responsibility. This study aims to explore the dual role of these educators, both as academic teachers and as character mentors within the dormitory environment. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were obtained through interviews with several teachers in a modern Islamic boarding school in East Java. In Islamic tradition, a teacher is not only a knowledge transmitter (mu'allim) but also a moral guide (murabbi). The dual role of educators includes: (1) teaching in classrooms (academic role), (2) supervising student discipline (guidance role), (3) accompanying religious activities (spiritual role), and (4) acting as dormitory caretakers (parental role). This research emphasizes that educators in Islamic boarding schools carry a dual responsibility. They are not only academic instructors but also key agents of character education. The study is expected to serve as a reference for future research on holistic education in Islamic boarding schools

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implementation of educational staff resource management on the quality of educational services at MA Hidayatul Mubtadi’in Jati Agung. Educational staff resource management includes planning, recruitment, development, evaluation, and welfare of educators. The research method used is qualitative with a case study approach. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and verification techniques. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of teacher and education staff management in improving the quality of education. The research methods used include interviews, observations, and documentation studies with samples of teachers, madrasah principals, and education staff. The research findings show that transparent management in recruitment, routine coaching, and objective performance assessments contribute significantly to improving the quality of education. Adaptive and innovative management encourages madrasahs to become pioneers in various educational innovations. The contribution of this study provides an effective management model that can be adopted by other madrasahs to improve the quality of education as a whole

Abstract

Students who are involved in organizations tend to experience problems or challenges in interacting with their campus environment. These problems or challenges need to be addressed by participating in organizational activities, especially the Student Regiment. The purpose of this study is to examine the role of the Student Regiment (MENWA) in shaping students’ personalities and fostering personal resilience. This study took place at Ahmad Dahlan University, an object within the scope of the MENWA organization. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. The descriptive approach is intended to measure the social phenomenon of the student regiment accurately. The data collection techniques and tools used by the author in this study were interviews, observations, and documentation presentations. The results of the study indicate that by participating in MENWA organizational activities, personal characters are formed that are disciplined, honest, responsible, brave to appear and agile. These characters reflect personal resilience that is able to create a mutually supportive environment and foster a sense of kinship with one another. The conclusion shows that MENWA UAD can be a forum for cultivating good character and strengthening students’ personal resilience.

Abstract

This study, entitled The Influence of Using PowerPoint as a Learning Mediumon Students’ Learning Motivation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) forClass VIII.I at SMP Negeri 7 Makassar, was carried out under the supervisionof Elli Oschar and Andi Mulawakkan Firdaus, Faculty of Islamic Studies,Universitas Muhammadiyah Makassar. The purpose of this research is todetermine the extent to which the use of PowerPoint influences students’learning motivation. The study employed a quantitative approach with a sampleof 32 students from Class VIII.I. Data were collected through observation,questionnaires, and documentation. The findings show that the use ofPowerPoint in PAI learning is categorized as high (57.9%), with teacherseffectively utilizing attractive layouts, images, animations, and systematicexplanations. Students’ motivation also increased, as reflected in their interest,enthusiasm, and active participation during lessons. Statistical analysis revealeda positive and significant effect of PowerPoint use on learning motivation,indicated by a significance value of 0.011 (p < 0.05), a regression coefficient of0.669, and a contribution of 33.5% (R² = 0.335), while the remaining 66.5% isinfluenced by other factors. The correlation coefficient (R) of 0.579 furtherconfirms a strong positive relationship between the use of PowerPoint andstudents’ learning motivation. Thus, it can be concluded that PowerPoint has apositive and significant impact on enhancing students’ motivation in learningIslamic Religious Education.

Abstract

This study aims to: (1) analyze the role of Islamic Education (PAI) teachers in enhancing students’ worship discipline, and (2) identify supporting and inhibiting factors. Using a qualitative descriptive method with observation, interviews, and documentation, data were collected from PAI teachers and students at MTs Muhammadiyah Pokobulo.Findings show that PAI teachers play a vital role not only in teaching but also as mentors and role models. Their roles include: guiding worship practices (Qur’anic studies, congregational prayers), educating with persuasive and empathetic methods, and modeling discipline through active worship and student leadership training (imam, muadzin). Worship discipline grows through consistent routines and a supportive school environment. Supporting factors include teacher involvement, collaboration, humanistic approaches, and structured programs, while inhibiting factors include students’ low awareness, environmental influences, and adolescent emotional instability. Continuous guidance nonetheless enhances students’ spiritual awareness and worship discipline.

Abstract

The background of this study lies in the branding of Sukorejo coffee, which is still limited to local markets and has not consistently highlighted its flavour profile as a key selling point. Critically, this reflects a particular challenge in creating added value at the level of MSMEs and farmers, thus requiring interventions focused on improving processing quality as well as implementing targeted promotional strategies. This community service activity aims to enchance the knowledge and capacity of the Sukorejo community in coffee processing practices, particularly in the stages of processing, marketing, and strengthening local coffee branding as a flagship product by MSME actors in Sukorejo District, Kendal Regerency. The object of this study is coffee MSME in Sukorejo District. The research method employed is a descriptive qualitative approach intended to provide a detailed account of the community empowerment process in coffee production and roasting in Sukorejo District. The results of this program indicate a strategic direction for the future development of Sukorejo coffee, namely the need for follow-up assistance in business management, financial recording, and digital marketing strategies.

Abstract

In an educational institution, costs are required to develop learning support facilities in schools. Apart from BOS and Bosda funds, schools must be able to raise funds to meet learning facility needs. Including sports field facilities which are facilities that support student learning. This research contains fundraising strategies in financing sports fields at SMA Negeri 1 Kedungwuni. Through descriptive qualitative methods, researchers found out about the fundraising strategies used to finance sports fields at SMA Negeri 1 Kedungwuni. The results of this research explain that the strategies used in raising funds to finance sports fields are as follows; through alumni, school committees, Friday donations, and sponsors. The aim of this research is to improve the quality of education through fundraising strategies in the construction of sports fields. Adequate sports field facilities will produce good quality education.

Abstract

Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menguji efektivitas model pembelajaran digital berbasis kearifan lokal guna meningkatkan pemahaman membaca pada mata kuliah Bahasa Indonesia. Menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D) dengan modifikasi model Borg & Gall, produk dikembangkan melalui studi kebutuhan, perancangan, validasi ahli, uji coba terbatas, revisi, dan uji lapangan. Instrumen meliputi tes pemahaman membaca 30 butir (aspek literal, inferensial, kritis; reliabilitas Cronbach’s α > 0,80), lembar validasi ahli (bahasa/literasi, teknologi pendidikan, budaya lokal), angket respons mahasiswa, dan observasi. Validasi ahli berada pada kisaran 86–92% (sangat layak). Uji lapangan melibatkan 40 mahasiswa (desain one-group pretest–posttest). Analisis dilakukan dengan uji normalitas, paired sample t-test (α = 0,05), N-Gain, dan effect size (Cohen’s d). Hasil menunjukkan peningkatan rata-rata skor dari 64,20 menjadi 82,70; perbedaan signifikan secara statistik (t(39) = 11,70; p < 0,001), effect size sangat besar (d = 1,85), dan N-Gain = 0,52 (kategori sedang). Peningkatan terjadi pada seluruh aspek—literal (62,5→85,5), inferensial (59,0→87,0), dan kritis (55,0→86,0)—dengan lonjakan tertinggi pada aspek kritis. Respons mahasiswa positif (≥79% pada indikator ketertarikan, kemudahan, dan interaktivitas). Temuan menegaskan bahwa integrasi konten berbasis budaya lokal ke dalam platform digital menghasilkan pembelajaran yang lebih bermakna, layak, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan pemahaman membaca. Implikasi praktis mencakup adopsi model pada kurikulum bahasa dan dukungan infrastruktur serta literasi digital untuk skala implementasi lebih luas.

Abstract

Interpretation of the Qur'an is an intellectual and spiritual process that demands careful and contemporary methods. One approach that has developed in modern exegetical discourse is hermeneutics. This study aims to examine the meaning and historical development of hermeneutics and its relevance to Qur'anic interpretation. Hermeneutics, which initially developed in the Western tradition as a method for understanding classical texts and scriptures, is now being adopted by some Muslim thinkers to understand the Qur'an in its ever-changing social and cultural context. Using qualitative methods based on literature, this study explores the historical-philosophical significance of hermeneutics in contemporary Islamic studies. This study finds that the hermeneutic approach, when used carefully and proportionately, can open up a dialogue between the Qur'anic text and contemporary reality, without neglecting normative Islamic values. The results also highlight the differences in the approaches of these figures in combining traditional understanding and contextual approaches. Thus, the hermeneutic approach can be a methodological alternative in interpreting the Qur'an that is dynamic and contributes to the development of modern Islamic thought.
