Abstract

This study aims to improve household financial literacy through simple financial management education for the Family Welfare Movement (PKK) group in Tawang Hamlet, Samirono Village, Getasan District, Semarang Regency, emphasizing the link between financial education and community empowerment. The research method was implemented in three stages: an initial survey, educational program implementation, and post-activity evaluation. The results showed an increase in participants' understanding of the basic concepts of financial literacy, their ability to prepare a monthly budget using the 50/30/20 method, and behavioral changes towards more rational and wise financial management. The active participation and high enthusiasm of PKK members are indicators of the program's success, which not only improves individual capacity but also strengthens social cohesion and supports the community empowerment process. However, this study is still limited to a local scale with a relatively small number of participants, so further research with a wider scope and sample is needed to strengthen the generalizability of the findings.

Abstract

The current environmental crisis is not merely ecological in nature but also reflects a crisis of human values and spirituality. Islam views the natural environment as an ayah of Allah that possesses theological, ethical, and spiritual significance, and therefore should serve as a foundational element in Islamic education. This study aims to examine the philosophical perspective of Islam on the nature of the environment and to analyze its relevance as a foundation for Islamic education. The research employs a qualitative approach using library research methods by collecting data from the Qur’an, classical tafsir works, and relevant scholarly books and journal articles. The findings indicate that Islam positions humans as khalifah entrusted with the responsibility of maintaining ecological balance, while emphasizing the integration of tarbiyah, ta’dib, and ta‘lim in cultivating ecological awareness. This study concludes that environmental education grounded in Islamic values plays a crucial role in fostering sustainable ecological and spiritual character development among learners.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of the Prophet Muhammad’s sunnah as a form of living hadith in strengthening students’ social morality through the practice of the 3S culture (smile, greeting, and salutation) at TPQ At-Taisir. The research addresses the problem of declining social ethics among students and aims to analyze how the internalization of the sunnah influences their daily social interactions. This study employs a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The findings show that the habituation of smiling, gentle behavior, and polite interaction, rooted in the Prophet’s sunnah, contributes significantly to the formation of positive social character, including friendliness, respect, empathy, and harmonious relationships among students. Furthermore, the implementation of living sunnah creates a more conducive learning environment and strengthens students’ spiritual awareness. In conclusion, the application of the Prophet’s sunnah through the 3S culture plays an important role in shaping students’ social morality and fostering sustainable Islamic character education.

Abstract

This study examines economic education in the Qur’an with a focus on the prohibition of usury (riba) and the principle of wealth distribution in Surah Al-Baqarah verses 275–279 and Surah Al-Hasyr verse 7. The research problem addresses how the Qur’an constructs principles of economic education that are just and relevant to modern life. The purpose of this study is to analyze the values of Islamic economics contained in these verses and their implications for economic education in the Muslim community. This research employs a qualitative method using a thematic tafsir approach through library research, utilizing the Qur’an as the primary source along with classical tafsir works and Islamic economics literature. The findings indicate that the Qur’an firmly prohibits riba as a rejection of economic exploitation and emphasizes fair and inclusive wealth distribution. The study concludes that Islamic economic principles in the Qur’an have educational and practical impacts in fostering a just, ethical, and socially oriented economic system.

Abstract

This study has several objectives to analyze the effectiveness of students' meditation practices using the Ānāpānasati meditation object to improve cognitive function and reduce social anxiety in Buddhist Sunday School students. This study uses a phenomenological approach involving three participants aged 13–16 years who regularly meditate. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and student self-reflection. The results of the study indicate that breathing meditation has several positive effects on improving concentration in learning, controlling emotions, and reducing social anxiety. The results of this approach indicate that the practice of Ānāpānasati meditation can be effectively integrated into Buddhist character education, which can lead to progress in the students' inner balance and self-awareness.

Abstract

Kecemasan akademik merupakan masalah yang sering dialami mahasiswa dan berdampak pada motivasi, konsentrasi, serta proses belajar. Dalam pendidikan keagamaan Buddha, kecemasan dipahami sebagai bentuk penderitaan batin yang muncul akibat ketidaksadaran dan kemelekatan terhadap hasil akademik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menggali makna pengalaman meditasi One Day Mindfulness (ODM) dalam menghadapi kecemasan akademik mahasiswa Pendidikan Agama Buddha. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi. Partisipan penelitian berjumlah lima mahasiswa aktif yang telah mengikuti praktik ODM minimal selama tujuh hari. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi partisipatif, dan catatan reflektif peneliti. Analisis data mengacu pada model fenomenologis Moustakas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebelum mempraktikkan ODM, mahasiswa mengalami kecemasan akademik berupa rasa gelisah, takut, menurunnya motivasi, dan sulit berkonsentrasi. Setelah rutin melakukan meditasi ODM, mahasiswa menjadi lebih tenang, sadar terhadap pikiran dan perasaan, serta mampu menerima dan mengelola kecemasan secara lebih realistis. Meditasi ODM berperan dalam menurunkan kecemasan akademik sekaligus memperkuat kesadaran dan keseimbangan batin mahasiswa.

Abstract

Pendidikan Islam tidak hanya berorientasi pada transfer pengetahuan, tetapi juga menekankan pengembangan moral, penguatan spiritual, dan pembentukan iman berdasarkan landasan teologis dan  spiritualitas. Studi ini meneliti tentang tauhid, wahyu dan sunnah sebagai landasan teologis dan spiritualitas dalam pendidikan Islam. Artinya, ketiga hal tersebut dijadikan dasar maupun rujukan dalam setiap pelaksanaan pendidikan Islam. Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis landasan teologis dan spiritualitas dalam pendidikan Islam dengan membahas lebih rinci konsep tauhid, wahyu dan sunnah. Studi ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan menggunakan studi kepustakaan (library research) yakni, sumber data diambil dari  buku-buku, artikel ilmiah, dan sumber-sumber akademis lainnya yang relevan. Hasil temuan penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, tauhid berfungsi sebagai landasan teologis utama dalam pendidikan Islam. Wahyu berfungsi sebagai sumber pengetahuan dan epistemologi dalam pendidikan Islam. Sunnah sebagai pedoman praktis dalam implementasi pendidikan. Landasan-landasan ini secara kolektif memastikan bahwa pendidikan Islam harus selalu dalam nilia-nilai Islam, sebagaimana tauhid, wahyu dan sunnah dijadikan sebagai dasar dalam setiap pelaksanaan pendidikan Islam. Kesimpulannya, pendidikan Islam yang berlandaskan nilai-nilai teologis dan spiritual sangat penting untuk membentuk individu yang beriman, berintelekual, bermoral, dan mampu menanggapi tantangan kontemporer sambil tetap berakar pada prinsip-prinsip Islam. Dengan tujuannya, yaitu membentuk umat muslim menjadi Insan Kamil dimuka bumi.

Abstract

Digital transformation in the era of the Industrial Revolution 4.0 presents both opportunities and challenges for Islamic Religious Education (IRE). The main issue lies in the use of technology that is not yet fully aligned with Islamic ethical and spiritual values. This study examines the integration of technology in the instructional design of IRE while maintaining consistency with religious principles. This qualitative study employs a literature review by analyzing journal articles, academic books, and relevant digital sources. The findings show that e-learning, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Islamic interactive media, virtual classes, hybrid learning, and artificial intelligence (AI) enhance flexibility, effectiveness, and learning access. However, challenges include the risk of content deviation, digital ethical issues, data security concerns, and reduced direct interaction between teachers and students. Eventually, technology integration in IRE must be accompanied by strengthened digital literacy, ethical media practices, and the role of teachers in guiding students’ character development.

Abstract

Learning theories play an important role in shaping effective Islamic Religious Education learning processes. However, Islamic Religious Education learning practices often emphasize cognitive aspects and neglect the integration of learning theories that support holistic student development. This study aims to examine learning theories and their implications for Islamic Religious Education learning. The research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using library research methods. Data were collected through the analysis of books, academic journals, and relevant scholarly works related to learning theories and Islamic education. The findings indicate that behavioristic, cognitive, constructivist, and humanistic learning theories have complementary roles in Islamic Religious Education learning. Behavioristic theory supports habituation of religious practices, cognitive theory strengthens understanding and reasoning, constructivist theory promotes contextual learning, and humanistic theory develops religious awareness and character. The study concludes that integrating learning theories contributes to meaningful, holistic, and value-based Islamic Religious Education aligned with the goals of Islamic education.

Abstract

Pancasila is the foundation of the state and the guiding principle of the Indonesian nation, and it must be instilled in students from an early age, particularly in elementary schools. Civics Education (PKn) plays a crucial role in instilling Pancasila values through the learning process. Civics learning aims to shape students’ knowledge, attitudes, and behaviors that reflect the values of divinity, humanity, unity, democracy, and social justice. The application of Pancasila values in Civics learning is carried out in stages and simply through prayer, tolerance among students, group cooperation, class discussions, and the cultivation of fairness and responsibility. Furthermore, teacher role models and school activities such as mutual cooperation (gotong royong) strengthen the practice of Pancasila values. In the era of globalization, Civics learning is an important means of fostering a sense of nationalism and maintaining national identity. Through Civics learning in elementary schools, it is hoped that students will grow into a generation with Pancasila-based character and love for their homeland.
