Abstract

This research analyzes the role of interactive Human Rights (HR) socialization in fostering anti-discrimination awareness among OSIS members at MTs Kifayatul Achyar. As role models and the frontline against bullying, OSIS involvement is vital. Utilizing a descriptive qualitative approach with 30 participants based on experiential learning, the study found that the socialization created an effective participatory space. However, it revealed two literacy gaps. First, an ethical gap regarding the dilemma between retaliation and self-defense, risking a cycle of symbolic violence. Second, a legal literacy gap concerning the Child Criminal Justice System (SPPA) and bullying sanctions. The interactive sessions bridged these gaps by providing ethical-psychological clarification and juridical reinforcement based on the SPPA's diversion principle. Ultimately, this dialogical approach proves effective in strengthening HR awareness and preparing OSIS members as competent peer educators.

Abstract

The process of globalization has brought about significant changes in various aspects of life, including the education sector in Indonesia. Advances in information and communication technology have influenced the way educational socialization occurs, impacting the learning process, value systems, and the roles of socialization agents such as family, school, and community. This research aims to analyze the influence of globalization on the pattern of educational socialization in Indonesia, as well as explore the challenges arising from the secularization and commercialization of education. The method used in this study is a literature review with a descriptive qualitative approach through mapping various relevant books, scientific journals, and library sources. The research findings indicate that globalization has positive impacts, such as technology-based learning innovation, increased access to information, and the strengthening of human resource competencies. However, on the other hand, globalization also presents negative impacts, such as inequality in educational access, the commercialization of educational institutions, and the erosion of moral and spiritual values. Therefore, it is important to make adjustments to the national education system to balance technological advancements with the strengthening of character, social values, and the role of the family in the educational socialization process, so that education in Indonesia remains focused on forming individuals who are knowledgeable and have good character.

Abstract

This article examines the integration of Islam and science from the perspectives of the Qur’an and contemporary thought by employing the framework of Islamic philosophy of science. The study demonstrates that, in Islam, knowledge is not understood merely as a rational–empirical activity, but as a reality rooted in the principle of tawḥīd and ultimately derived from Allah. Ontologically, Islam conceives reality as encompassing both physical and metaphysical dimensions, both of which constitute legitimate objects of knowledge. Epistemologically, Islam integrates revelation, reason, sensory perception, and the heart as complementary sources of knowledge within a hierarchical and integrative system. Axiologically, knowledge in Islam is not value neutral; rather, it is oriented toward public welfare, justice, and the strengthening of faith. This article also explores the classical Islamic scientific tradition as well as contemporary discourses on the Islamization of knowledge and the integration of Islam and science as critical responses to the dominance of secular modern scientific paradigms. Accordingly, this study affirms that the integration of Islam and science offers a holistic, ethical, and meaningful paradigm of knowledge that is highly relevant to the challenges of contemporary civilization.

Abstract

Inheritance is a fundamental element of civil law because it directly relates to the transfer of the rights and responsibilities of a deceased person to their heirs. The succession process in Indonesian civil law is comprehensively regulated in the Civil Code (KUHPerdata), encompassing inheritance established by law and inheritance based on a will. This study aims to evaluate the inheritance structure in civil law, focusing on the position and rights of heirs. The methodology employed is a normative juridical approach through a review of legislation and concepts. The findings of the discussion indicate that the position of heirs is determined based on blood ties and marriage, then divided into several categories with varying inheritance rights. In addition, the rights of heirs also include the right to inheritance, the right to claim inheritance shares, and legal protection in the event of a dispute. Therefore, a detailed understanding of the inheritance structure and the position of heirs is crucial to ensure legal certainty and justice in the inheritance distribution process.

Abstract

The curriculum serves as a primary component in the education system, determining the direction, content, and strategies for implementing learning. In the context of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) in madrasahs, the curriculum functions not only as an academic guide but also as a means of shaping Islamic values and the character of students. This research aims to analyze the content of the PAI curriculum in madrasahs in relation to its relevance to the needs of students in the modern era, as well as its alignment with the goals of Islamic education. The method employed is qualitative research using a library research approach, through analysis of various literature sources such as books, scientific journals, government regulations, and previous research findings. The research findings indicate that the PAI curriculum in madrasahs has a comprehensive structure encompassing four main subjects: Al-Qur’an Hadith, Akidah Akhlak, Fiqh, and History of Islamic Culture, with greater time allocation and depth of material compared to general schools. However, gaps still exist between the ideal curriculum and its field implementation, particularly in teachers' understanding of the curriculum content and the application of contextual learning. Therefore, strengthening teacher capacity, aligning central and regional policies, and innovating value-based Islamic learning relevant to contemporary challenges are necessary.

Abstract

This study addresses the problem of Al-Qur’an Hadith learning at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) level, which tends to emphasize textual mastery such as reading and memorization while lacking contextual and applicative understanding. The purpose of this research is to analyze the content of the Al-Qur’an Hadith curriculum at MI based on Decree of the Minister of Religious Affairs Number 347 of 2022 and to examine its relevance to educational objectives and students’ developmental characteristics. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach using content analysis, with data collected through document analysis of official curriculum texts, policy documents, and relevant literature. The findings indicate that the curriculum is systematically structured and oriented toward basic competencies; however, its implementation is still predominantly textual. The study concludes that integrating learning theories and strengthening pedagogical approaches are essential to promote meaningful learning and internalization of Qur’anic values. These findings contribute to improving curriculum implementation and instructional practices in Islamic primary education.

Abstract

This study examines the characteristics of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum implemented in madrasas. The PAI curriculum is designed to integrate religious and general learning in a balanced manner, with an emphasis on developing spiritual attitudes, knowledge, and skills consistent with Islamic values. The materials taught include the Qur'an, Hadith, Aqidah, Morals, Jurisprudence, and Islamic Cultural History, aiming to produce graduates who are faithful and have noble character. This curriculum is also designed to suit the needs of students and the socio-cultural context, while optimizing the role of teachers as learning facilitators. This study uses a literature review method with qualitative analysis based on documents and literature related to the PAI curriculum. The results indicate that the PAI curriculum in madrasas has advantages in integrating Islamic values into all aspects of learning, a comprehensive evaluation strategy, and strengthening madrasah management as an educational institution characterized by religion. This study provides a systematic overview of the characteristics of the PAI curriculum in madrasas as a reference for the development of effective and contextual religious education.

Abstract

This study examines the effectiveness of Human Rights (HAM) education for ten juvenile inmates aged 15–20 at the Lembaga Pembinaan Khusus Anak (LPKA) Bandung, focusing on three core aspects: the children’s literacy levels and educational backgrounds, challenges encountered during the educational sessions, and the alignment of these practices with legal standards of child protection. The research employs an empirical juridical method combined with normative analysis based on Indonesian legislation and international human rights instruments. Findings reveal that low literacy levels and irregular educational histories significantly hinder the juveniles’ comprehension of fundamental human rights concepts. Several challenges emerged during implementation, including limited legal vocabulary, difficulties sustaining attention, psychological barriers, and inadequate learning facilities. From a legal perspective, the program aligns with major child protection principles under the Child Protection Act, the Juvenile Criminal Justice System Act, the Convention on the Rights of the Child, and the Havana Rules, although the structural fulfillment of the right to education and information remains insufficient. This study highlights the need for more adaptive educational methods and underscores the state’s responsibility to ensure accessible, high-quality education for children in custodial settings.

Abstract

This study explores the relevance and depth of Qur’an and Hadith learning at the senior high school (SMA) level through the development of instructional materials grounded in a Deep Learning approach within the Merdeka Curriculum framework. The discussion emphasizes how Qur’an and Hadith materials can be structured not merely to prioritize rote memorization, but to promote contextual comprehension, critical reflection, and the internalization of spiritual as well as moral values among learners. Employing a qualitative library research design, this article analyzes curriculum documents, scholarly journals, and educational policy references related to Islamic education and deep learning pedagogy. The findings reveal that the Deep Learning approach strengthens the linkage between Qur’anic and prophetic teachings and adolescents’ real-life experiences, while simultaneously supporting the achievement of learning outcomes across attitudinal, cognitive, and skills domains. Moreover, the application of relevance, consistency, and sufficiency principles in material development contributes to more meaningful, dialogical, and applicable learning processes. The study concludes that implementing Deep Learning in Qur’an and Hadith instruction at the SMA level holds significant potential to enhance character building, critical thinking, and students’ spiritual awareness in addressing the challenges of the digital era and contemporary social change.

Abstract

The challenges of global climate change and environmental degradation require the instilling of ecological awareness from an early age. Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI), as a primary educational institution, plays a crucial role in shaping environmentally conscious character. However, the limited availability of a comprehensive and integrated learning model often hinders the implementation of effective environmental education. Therefore, this study aims to describe effective strategies for organizing learning with an environmental theme at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) level. The main problem is how to integrate environmental values into the curriculum and daily activities of MI in a holistic manner that is relevant to student development. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with a literature review to develop a conceptual framework. The description of the findings indicates that organizing environmental learning in MI should be carried out through a thematic-integrative approach, involving problem-based projects (PBL) such as school waste banks or mini gardens, and emphasizing hands-on activities. Effective learning requires collaboration between teachers, students, parents, and the surrounding community.
