Abstract

Abstract: This study evaluated the quality of thematic instructional planning by teachers at MIN 3 Aceh Barat, focusing on its alignment with curriculum standards and thematic learning principles. Twelve classroom teachers were selected through purposive sampling. A quantitative evaluation was conducted using a checklist instrument comprising nine essential components of effective instructional design. Data were analyzed descriptively by calculating the mean percentage of criteria fulfillment. The results indicated that most instructional designs demonstrated coherent subject integration and were rated “good,” with an average achievement of 89.90 percent. However, gaps remained in formulating specific and measurable objectives, selecting pedagogical strategies aligned with learning goals, and developing authentic assessments. These findings emphasize the persistent gap between curriculum policy expectations and classroom level planning practices. By providing empirically grounded recommendations for targeted professional development, this study offers practical guidance to enhance the consistency and effectiveness of thematic instruction in primary education. Abstrak: Penelitian ini mengevaluasi kualitas perencanaan pembelajaran tematik yang dilakukan oleh guru di MIN 3 Aceh Barat, dengan fokus pada kesesuaiannya dengan standar kurikulum dan prinsip pembelajaran tematik. Dua belas guru kelas dipilih sebagai subjek melalui teknik sampling purposif. Evaluasi kuantitatif dilakukan menggunakan instrumen ceklis yang terdiri dari sembilan komponen esensial desain instruksional yang efektif. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif dengan menghitung persentase rata-rata pencapaian kriteria. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar desain instruksional menunjukkan integrasi mata pelajaran yang kohesif dan dinilai “baik,” dengan pencapaian rata-rata 89,90 persen. Namun, masih terdapat celah dalam merumuskan tujuan yang spesifik dan terukur, memilih strategi pedagogis yang selaras dengan tujuan pembelajaran, dan mengembangkan penilaian autentik. Temuan ini menyoroti kesenjangan yang persisten antara harapan kebijakan kurikulum dan praktik perencanaan di tingkat kelas. Dengan memberikan rekomendasi yang didukung data empiris untuk pengembangan profesional yang terarah, studi ini menawarkan panduan praktis untuk meningkatkan konsistensi dan efektivitas pembelajaran tematik di pendidikan dasar.

Abstract

Abstract: This research project originated from an examination of the requirements of both teachers and students in their learning experiences. Its primary goal was to develop a sound, usable, and impactful problem-based e-module to improve critical thinking abilities in fifth-grade Integrated Science and Social Studies (IPAS). The study followed a Research and Development (R&D) framework, specifically the ADDIE model's five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. Participants were carefully chosen using purposive sampling to align with the research aims. Data was gathered through validated and reliable assessments and subsequently analyzed with an independent t-test, which showed a significant result (p < 0.001). The findings clearly demonstrate that the developed problem-based e-module is an effective tool for cultivating critical thinking skills in fifth-grade integrated science and social studies education. Abstrak: Proyek penelitian ini berasal dari pemeriksaan terhadap kebutuhan guru dan siswa dalam pengalaman belajar mereka. Tujuan utamanya adalah untuk mengembangkan e-modul berbasis masalah yang solid, dapat digunakan, dan berdampak untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis pada pembelajaran IPAS Terpadu kelas lima. Penelitian ini mengikuti kerangka Research and Development (R&D), khususnya lima tahap model ADDIE: Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, Implementasi, dan Evaluasi. Partisipan dipilih secara cermat menggunakan teknik purposive sampling agar sesuai dengan tujuan penelitian. Data dikumpulkan melalui asesmen yang telah divalidasi dan reliabel, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan uji t independen yang menunjukkan hasil signifikan (p < 0.001). Temuan menunjukkan secara jelas bahwa e-modul berbasis masalah yang dikembangkan merupakan alat yang efektif untuk menumbuhkan keterampilan berpikir kritis dalam pendidikan IPAS terpadu kelas lima.

Abstract

Abstract: Metacognitive strategies play a critical role in elementary mathematics education by enabling students to plan, monitor, and evaluate their thinking processes. This study conducts a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) to examine the effectiveness of these strategies in enhancing students’ conceptual understanding, motivation, and problem-solving abilities. Using the Publish or Perish application, 432 articles were initially identified from Scopus, Semantic Scholar, and Google Scholar. Based on established inclusion criteria such as publication type, indexing, language, and relevance, 16 studies were selected for in-depth analysis. The findings reveal that metacognitive strategies significantly improve students’ self-regulation, learning independence, and academic performance. However, their effectiveness varies depending on factors such as gender, self-efficacy, classroom environment, and access to technology. The study also highlights the essential role of teachers in modeling cognitive processes, offering feedback, and facilitating reflective learning. Compared to traditional memorization-based instruction, metacognitive approaches foster deeper understanding and cognitive flexibility. This review underscores the need for sustained teacher training and thoughtful technology integration to support effective implementation of metacognitive strategies in primary mathematics learning. Abstrak: Strategi metakognitif memainkan peran penting dalam pendidikan matematika dasar dengan memungkinkan siswa untuk merencanakan, memantau, dan mengevaluasi proses berpikir mereka. Studi ini melakukan tinjauan literatur sistematis (SLR) untuk mengkaji efektivitas strategi-strategi tersebut dalam meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual, motivasi, dan kemampuan pemecahan masalah siswa. Menggunakan aplikasi Publish or Perish, sejumlah 432 artikel diidentifikasi dari Scopus, Semantic Scholar, dan Google Scholar. Berdasarkan kriteria inklusi yang telah ditetapkan, seperti jenis publikasi, pengindeksan, bahasa, dan relevansi, 16 studi dipilih untuk analisis mendalam. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa strategi metakognitif secara signifikan meningkatkan kemampuan regulasi diri, kemandirian belajar, dan prestasi akademik siswa. Namun, efektivitasnya bervariasi tergantung pada faktor-faktor seperti jenis kelamin, kepercayaan diri, lingkungan kelas, dan akses terhadap teknologi. Studi ini juga menyoroti peran penting guru dalam mendemonstrasikan proses kognitif, memberikan umpan balik, dan memfasilitasi pembelajaran reflektif. Dibandingkan dengan pengajaran berbasis hafalan tradisional, pendekatan metakognitif mendorong pemahaman yang lebih dalam dan fleksibilitas kognitif. Tinjauan ini menekankan perlunya pelatihan guru yang berkelanjutan dan integrasi teknologi yang terencana untuk mendukung implementasi efektif strategi metakognitif dalam pembelajaran matematika di tingkat dasar.

Abstract

Abstract: Learning media is essential for creating interactive and fun lessons. However, conventional methods are still dominant in practice. An interview with the fourth-grade form teacher revealed that limited use of learning media in mathematics leads to monotonous lessons, affecting students’ focus and ability to solve math story problems. This study aimed to (1) develop media design, (2) test media feasibility, and (3) test the effectiveness of the Peramal Board media based on Bruner's theory to improve grade IV student’s ability to solve math story problems. This study is based on the ADDIE model with a mixed-method research approach. The results showed that the feasibility of the Peramal Board from a material expert was 91.67%, media expert 95%, student response 100%, and teacher response 93.33%, with the category very feasible. The effectiveness of the Peramal Board is indicated by an improvement in learning outcomes of 3.986 with a sig. (tailed-2) value of 0.000. The N-Gain test result of 0.7720 > 0.7 shows a high criterion. The result of this study is that Peramal Board has successfully improved the ability of fourth-grade students to solve decimal addition and subtraction story problems. Abstrak: Media pembelajaran sangat penting untuk menciptakan pembelajaran yang interaktif dan menyenangkan. Namun, metode konvensional masih dominan dalam praktik. Wawancara dengan wali kelas IV mengungkapkan bahwa keterbatasan penggunaan media pembelajaran dalam matematika menyebabkan pembelajaran menjadi monoton, yang memengaruhi fokus siswa dan kemampuan mereka dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengembangkan desain media, (2) menguji kelayakan media, dan (3) menguji efektivitas media Papan Peramal berdasarkan teori Bruner untuk meningkatkan kemampuan siswa kelas IV dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita matematika. Penelitian ini didasarkan pada model ADDIE dengan pendekatan penelitian metode campuran. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kelayakan Papan Peramal dari ahli materi sebesar 91,67%, ahli media 95%, respon siswa 100%, dan respon guru 93,33%, dengan kategori sangat layak. Efektivitas Papan Peramal ditunjukkan dengan peningkatan hasil belajar sebesar 3,986 dengan nilai sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,000. Hasil uji N-Gain sebesar 0,7720 > 0,7 menunjukkan kriteria tinggi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah bahwa Papan Peramal berhasil meningkatkan kemampuan siswa kelas IV SD dalam menyelesaikan soal cerita penjumlahan dan pengurangan desimal.

Abstract

Abstract: This research aims to improve the ability to read words through the sight words method for student with autism in grade VI at the Dian Amanah Special School. This research is a Classroom Action Research with the Kemmis and Mc. Taggart model, consisting of two cycles. The subject was one sixth-grade student. Data collection using test and observations of learning behavior. Hypothesis testing was carried out by comparing the scores of student learning outcomes in the pre-action test, post-action test in cycle I, and post-action test in cycle II. The results showed that the sight words method was able to improve the ability to read words for student with autism in grade VI, as evidenced by an increase in the score of the learning outcome test for the ability to read words from 40 in the pre-action test, to 73 in the post-action test in cycle I, and to 89 in the post-action test in cycle II. The improvement in student learning behavior, such as increased focus in learning, the ability to identify words, the ability to read words, and the ability to read words in sentences with SPOK patterns sequentially. Abstrak: Penelitian  ini  dilakukan  untuk  meningkatkan kemampuan membaca kata melalui metode sight words bagi peserta didik autis kelas VI di Sekolah Luar Biasa Autisma Dian Amanah. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tindakan Kelas dengan model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart, yang dilaksanakan sebanyak 2 siklus. Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah peserta didik autis kelas VI SLB. Data dikumpulkan dari tes hasil belajar dan observasi perilaku belajar. Analisis menggunakan deskriptif kuantitatif. Data disajikan dalam bentuk tabel dan diagram. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan membandingkan skor hasil belajar peserta didik pada tes pra tindakan, tes pasca tindakan pada siklus I, dan tes pasca tindakan pada siklus II. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan metode sight words mampu meningkatkan kemampuan membaca kata bagi peserta didik autis kelas VI di SLB Autisma Dian Amanah, yang dibuktikan adanya peningkatan skor tes hasil belajar kemampuan membaca kata dari 40 pada tes pra tindakan, menjadi 73 pada tes pasca tindakan siklus I, dan menjadi 89 pada tes pasca tindakan siklus II. Adapun peningkatan perilaku belajar peserta didik, seperti meningkatnya fokus dalam pembelajaran, kemampuan mengidentifikasi kata, kemampuan membaca kata, dan kemampuan membaca kata dalam kalimat berpola SPOK secara runtut.

Abstract

Abstract: The current study was intended to analyze the effect of teaching and learning strategies as well as the self-concept towards the motion creativity learning outcome of the third graders of elementary schools. The study utilized experimental method with 2 x 2 factorial design. By using random sampling technique, 32 students were chosen as the samples. The results of the study suggested that (1) there was score of motion creativity between the students who joined the inductive strategy from those who joined the deductive strategy, (2) students who had high self-concept performed better motion creativity when they joined inductive strategy, (3) students who had low self-concept performed better motion creativity when they joined deductive strategy, (4) there was an interaction effect of teaching and learning strategies as well as the self-concept towards the motion creativity learning outcome of the third graders of elementary schools.Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan mengkaji pengaruh strategi pembelajaran dan konsep diri terhadap hasil belajar kreatvitas gerak siswa kelas III SD. Penelitian mengunakan metode eksperimen dengan desain factorial 2 x 2. Teknik sampling acak sederhana dengan sample 32 siswa. Hasil penelitian (1) terdapat skor dari kreativitas gerak antara siswa yang mengikuti dengan strategi induktif dengan strategi deduktif, (2) siswa yang memiliki konsep diri tinggi menunjukan hasil belajar kreatifitas gerak lebih baik dari pada strategi pembelajaran induktif, (3) siswa yang memiliki konsep diri rendah memiliki skor lebih tinggi dengan strategi deduktif, (4) terdapat pengaruh interaksi antara strategi pembelajaran dan konsep diri terhadap hasil belajar kreativitas gerak siswa kelas III SD.

Abstract

The use of interactive multimedia has a big influence in the world of education, especially mathematics learning. This development research aims to produce interactive multimedia product on learning rectangles and triangles for grade IV to facilitate and motivate students in understanding and mastering mathematical concepts. Media development uses the Alessi & Trollip development model which has three stages, namely planning, design, and development including alpha testing and product beta testing to determine its feasibility. Alpha test results, product that has been developed is declared valid after repairs are made to the product. The beta test results show that multimedia is declared practical after a product revision is made. The application of interactive multimedia that has been developed in learning has an impact on improving the learning outcomes of fourth-grade students of SDN 157 Palembang, namely 85.71 percent of students have reached the minimum completeness criteria with an N-gain average value of 0.65 with moderate criteria. Pemanfaatan multimedia interaktif memberikan pengaruh besar dalam dunia pendidikan khususnya pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian pengembangan ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan produk multimedia interaktif pada pembelajaran persegi panjang dan segitiga untuk kelas IV guna mempermudah dan memotivasi peserta didik dalam memahami dan menguasai konsep matematika. Pengembangan media menggunakan model pengembangan Alessi & Trollip yang memiliki tiga tahapan yaitu perencanaan, desain dan pengembangan termasuk uji alpha dan uji beta produk untuk mengetahui kelayakannya. Hasil uji alpha, produk yang telah dikembangkan dinyatakan valid setelah dilakukan perbaikan terhadap produk. Hasil uji beta menunjukkan bahwa multimedia dinyatakan praktis setelah dilakukan revisi produk. Penerapan multimedia interaktif yang telah dikembangkan dalam pembelajaran berdampak terhadap peningkatan hasil belajar peserta didik kelas IV SDN 157 Palembang yaitu 85,71 persen peserta didik telah mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimal dengan nilai rerata Ngain yaitu 0,65 dengan kriteria sedang.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims at analyzing academic dissemination and achievement motivation in school-age children in rural families. The subject of this study is a complete family who has children in an elementary school chosen randomly through proportional method amounting to 100. The results showed that parents and teachers are still low in instilling the value of education. Another thing from the study showed a significant positive correlation between the academic dissemination of parents and teachers with the dimensions of intrinsic achievement motivation. In addition, the results found that the academic socialization of parents influences the intrinsic achievement motivation. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis sosialisasi akademik dan motivasi berprestasi anak usia sekolah pada keluarga di pedesaan. Subyek penelitian ini adalah keluarga lengkap yang memiliki anak yang bersekolah di SD terpilih yang dipilih melalui metode acak proporsional yang berjumlah 100. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan orang tua dan guru masih rendah dalam menanamkan nilai-nilai pendidikan. Hal lain dari penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif signifikan antara sosialisasi akademik orang tua dan guru dengan dimensi motivasi berprestasi intrinsik. Selain itu, hasil menemukan bahwa sosialisasi akademik orang tua berpengaruh terhadap motivasi berprestasi intrinsik.

Abstract

The distance learning policy is the best effort to minimize the spread of Covid-19 in schools. This study aims to see the response of students in distance learning in the 2013 curriculum. The research method used is a descriptive quantitative method and the data source is obtained from questionnaires given to 156 students in 12 elementary schools spread across 7 regencies/cities of East Java. The results showed that 100 percent of students took distance learning as scheduled, 51.3 percent of students accompanied by mothers, 10.3 percent of students accompanied by fathers, 20.5 percent of students accompanied by guardians, and 17.9 percent of students had no companions while studying. The communication tools used showed that 92.9 percent used social media, 71.8 percent of students found it difficult to understand thematic learning, 49.4 percent of the student assignment collection places were social media, and 92.9 percent of students thought distance learning added to technological knowledge.

Abstract

Abstract: This study aims at describing the tendency of the type of organizational culture and its impact on leadership effectiveness in elementary school. The design of research was using the research development involving 300 teachers as a sample and was selected purposively and proportional in five districts in Malang. The results showed that some types of organizational culture prevailed school organization including bureaucratic, supportive, innovative, market, adhocratic, and clan types. The entire types deem to be significant influence on the behavior and effectiveness of school leadership including the efforts of the principal in (1) the development of vision, mission, and organizational goals, (2) human resources management, (3) implementation of functions as manager, (4) role of leader, (5) the improvement of professional teacher, and (6) the development of school organizational climate. Abstrak: Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendiskripsikan kecenderungan tipe budaya organisasi dan pengaruhnya terhadap efektivitas kepemimpinan di sekolah dasar. Rancangan penelitiannya menggunakan penelitian pengembangan yang melibatkan 300 orang guru sebagai sampel yang dipilih secara purposive dan proportional dari lima kecamatan di Kota Malang. Hasil penelitian menujukkan sejumlah tipe budaya organisasi mewarnai organisasi sekolah meliputi tipe birokratis, supportif, inovatif, market, adhokrasi, dan klan. Kesemua tipe memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap perilaku dan efektivitas kepemimpinan sekolah meliputi usaha-usaha kepala sekolah dalam (1) pengembangan visi, misi, dan tujuan organisasi, (2) pengelolaan sumber daya manusia, (3) pelaksanaan fungsi sebagai manajer, (4) pelaksanaan peranan sebagai leader, (5) peningkatan professional guru, dan (6) pengembangan iklim organisasi sekolah.
