Abstract

Differentiated instruction aligns teaching process with the needs, interests, learning styles, and readiness of students. This study investigates factors influencing its implementation in two inclusive primary schools in Yogyakarta: SDN A and SD B. Using a qualitative multi-case study approach, data were collected through interviews and observations with teachers, special education teachers, and school leaders. Key factors include teacher perceptions, inclusive environments, collaboration, and school leadership. Positive perceptions, supported by training, foster creative differentiation, while misconceptions about differentiation hinder its implementation. Inclusive environments, eliminate discrimination and adapt learning materials for all students. Collaboration, especially with special education teachers, strengthens the application. School leaders play a crucial role by fostering inclusivity, providing resources, and monitoring classroom practices. However, challenges such as administrative burdens, limited training, and teacher readiness persist, particularly in public schools. Addressing these issues through sustained professional development and policy support is essential. This study emphasizes the need for a collaborative approach to improve differentiated instruction and promote equitable and effective learning outcomes for all students. Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi adalah pendekatan yang menyesuaikan proses pengajaran dengan kebutuhan, minat, gaya belajar, dan kesiapan peserta didik. Penelitian ini mengkaji faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi pelaksanaan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi di dua sekolah dasar inklusif di Yogyakarta: SDN A dan SD B. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif studi multi-kasus, data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara dan observasi terhadap guru kelas, guru pendamping khusus, dan kepala sekolah. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan beberapa faktor utama, termasuk persepsi pendidik, lingkungan inklusif, kerjasama antar pendidik, dan peran kepala sekolah. Persepsi positif, didukung oleh pelatihan, mendorong penerapan strategi berdiferensiasi secara kreatif, sementara miskonsepsi tentang pembelajaran berdiferensiasi menjadi penghambat. Lingkungan inklusif, menghilangkan diskriminasi dan menyesuiakan materi pembelajaran bagi semua peserta didik, termasuk anak berkebutuhan khusus. Kolaborasi, khususnya dengan guru pendamping khusus, turut memperkuat implementasi pembelajaran ini. Peran kepala sekolah juga terbukti penting dalam membangun budaya inklusif, menyediakan sumber daya, dan memantau praktik pengajaran di kelas. Namun, tantangan seperti beban administratif, kurangnya pelatihan yang memadai, dan kesiapan pendidik yang terbatas masih ditemukan, khususnya di sekolah negeri. Tantangan ini menegaskan pentingnya pengembangan profesional berkelanjutan dan dukungan kebijakan yang memadai. Penelitian ini menekankan perlunya pendekatan yang kolaboratif untuk meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dan meningkatkan hasil belajar yang lebih adil dan efektif bagi semua peserta didik.

Abstract

The COVID-19 pandemic has changed learning patterns and significantly impacted elementary school students’ reading literacy. This study aims to analyze changes in elementary school students’ reading literacy practices during the pandemic through a systematic review of recent research. The Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method was applied by referring to the PRISMA guidelines. The inclusion criteria for articles were 1) in the form of journal articles, 2) published in the 2020-2024 period, 3) indexed by scopus, 4) using English, 5) complete article sections, and 6) relevant to reading literacy at the elementary school level. A total of 519 articles from the Scopus and PubMed databases were selected to obtain 22 articles that met the criteria. Based on the analysis of research articles, it was found that the COVID-19 pandemic caused a decline in students’ reading literacy. This is due to several key factors. The first factor is the school closure policy. The second factor is the readiness of online learning. The third factor is the socio-economic background of students. The fourth factor is technology accessibility. These four factors contribute to gaps in accessibility of technology and the quality of learning received by each student. In addition, the educational adaptation to strengthen reading literacy during the pandemic includes holding reading teaching enrichment programs, using technology to support learning, and implementing appropriate reading teaching methods.

Abstract

Literasi finansial merupakan salah satu dari enam literasi dasar yang perlu diajarkan untuk membekali peserta didik dalam kemampuan mengelola keuangan pribadi secara efektif. Pembelajaran literasi finansial mencakup beberapa aspek termasuk permanfaatan dan pengelolaan keuangan dengan bijak. Bahan ajar yang digunakan guru pada pembelajaran literasi finansial masih minim dikembangkan.Tujuan dari penelitian ini yakni menganalisis kebutuhan bahan ajar literasi finansial pada fase C di sekolah dasar dalam penerapan kurikulum merdeka. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif deskriptif dengan teknik pengumpulan data berupa (1) observasi, (2) kajian bahan ajar, serta (3) wawancara kepada guru dan peserta didik jenjang fase C di empat sekolah dasar di Kecamatan Godean Kabupaten Sleman Yogyakarta. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa bahan ajar materi literasi finansial yang digunakan di sekolah belum memadai dan masih membutuhkan pengembangan yang lebih kontekstual sesuai dengan kebutuhan peserta didik. Guru juga memerlukan dukungan berupa perangkat pembelajaran yang dapat memfasilitasi pembelajaran literasi finansial secara efektif. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, terdapat kebutuhan mendesak untuk mengembangkan bahan ajar literasi finansial yang lebih komprehensif agar sesuai dengan tuntutan Kurikulum Merdeka dan membantu penguatan literasi finansial peserta didik di sekolah dasar.

Abstract

Dibandingkan remaja dan orang dewasa, penelitian karier pada anak-anak masih jarang dilakukan, khususnya di Indonesia. Meskipun anak-anak tidak dihadapkan pada keputusan karir secara langsung seperti remaja dan dewasa, beberapa ahli meyakini bahwa perkembangan karier pada masa kanak-kanak dapat menjadi anteseden bagi keputusan karier di masa depan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui gambaran perkembangan karier pada anak kelas 5 SD dan pandangan mereka mengenai peran orang tua dalam perkembangan kariernya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif. Terdapat dua tema besar yang teridentifikasi, yaitu perkembangan karier pada anak kelas 5 SD dan pandangan anak kelas 5 SD terhadap peran yang diberikan orang tua. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa terdapat 8 dari 9 dimensi perkembangan karier yang muncul kecuali dimensi planfulness pada anak. Sementara itu, peran orangtua yang paling dibutuhkan bagi anak adalah pemberian informasi mengenai profesi yang diminatinya dan dukungan emosional seperti menyemangati dalam mencapai cita-citanya.

Abstract

Science education requires students to engage and utilize higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) actively. Effective science instruction should be contextualized to promote comprehension. Key components that support science learning include the use of appropriate instructional models and visual aids or learning media. When teaching models and tools are lacking, knowledge transfer to students is hindered. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of the POLA (Lantern Light Project) model, a STEM-PJBL-based approach, in fifth-grade science lessons on the properties of light, with a focus on student engagement and HOTS. This quantitative study employs a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design and uses paired sample T-test analysis to assess pre- and post-intervention differences. Results indicate that the STEM-PJBL-based POLA model enhances both engagement and HOTS in fifth-grade students studying the properties of light.

Abstract

Abstract: All regions in the world are at risk of disaster. As part of the world, Indonesia is also an archipelagic country that is prone to disasters. One of the areas that is the focus of this research and development is the Malang area in East Java province. This area is one of the areas that recently experienced disasters in the form of volcanic eruptions, floods, and landslides in 2021-2023. The purpose of this study is to produce a geological and climatological natural disaster hazard map for learning in elementary schools. The research method used is the ADDIE research and development model which has 5 steps, namely Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The research techniques and instruments that will be used are interviews, observation, and documentation. Data analysis in this study uses quantitative analysis with percentage techniques and qualitative analysis with a description of the product manufacturing and testing process. The results of the study showed that the geological and climatological natural disaster hazard map developed was declared valid by material experts and media experts with a percentage of 95% and 92%. After being tested in elementary schools, it received a 100% appeal rating from students. Student learning outcomes also show that 50% of students are included in the high category of learning outcomes improvement and 50% of students are in the medium category. These results indicate that the product can improve the quality of student learning. Abstrak: Seluruh wilayah di dunia mempunyai ancaman bencana. Sebagai bagian dari dunia, Indonesia juga merupakan negara kepulauan yang rawan terhadap bencana. Salah satu daerah yang menjadi fokus penelitian dan pengembangan ini adalah daerah Malang provinsi Jawa Timur. Daerah ini merupakan salah satu daerah yang baru-baru ini pada tahun 2021-2023 mengalami bencana berupa gunung meletus, banjir, dan tanah longsor. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menghasilkan peta bahaya bencana alam geologi dan klimatologi untuk pembelajaran di sekolah dasar. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah model penelitian dan pengembangan ADDIE yang memiliki 5 langkah yaitu Analisis, Desain, Pengembangan, Implementasi dan Evaluasi. Teknik dan instrumen penelitian yang akan digunakan adalah wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan analisis kuantitatif dengan teknik persentase dan juga kualitatif dengan deskripsi proses pembuatan dan pengujian produk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peta rawan bencana alam geologi dan klimatologi yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid oleh ahli materi dan ahli media dengan persentase 95% dan 92%. Setelah diuji coba di SD mendapat penilaian daya tarik 100% dari siswa. Hasil belajar siswa juga menunjukkan bahwa 50% siswa termasuk pada peningkatan hasil belajar kategori tinggi dan 50% siswa pada kategori sedang. Hasil tersebut menunjukkan bahwa produk dapat meningkatkan kualitas pembelajaran siswa.

Abstract

One of the problems with number sense in students occurs due to dependence on modern devices, which weaken sensitivity to numbers and mental calculation abilities. To overcome this degradation, it is necessary to identify the predictors that influence it and develop appropriate teaching strategies in lectures. The aim of this research is to determine the partial and simultaneous influence of math anxiety and self-regulation on students' number sense. This research applies an ex post facto quantitative approach. The research sample involved 334 PGSD UM students obtained through simple random sampling. Data collection instruments include psychological scales for math anxiety and self-regulation variables as well as an essay test for number sense. Data were analyzed using multiple linear regression tests by first fulfilling the classical assumption test. The result is that math anxiety partially has a significant influence on students' number sense. Meanwhile, partial self-regulation does not have a significant influence on students' number sense. Math anxiety and self-regulation simultaneously have a significant influence on PGSD students' number sense.

Abstract

Minimizing the use of technology-based interactive multimedia in social science learning reduces the interest and learning outcomes of alpha-generation students. Research and development (R&D) design with a waterfall development model, which includes requirements, design, Implementation, verification, and maintenance phases, is used in this research. Developing interactive multimedia product ABEL KERINDO "Ayo Belajar Kerajaan di Indonesia" based on Articulate Storyline to probe its eligibility and effectivity becomes the purpose of this research. From the validation results, this product is considered highly qualified, with a material expert rating of 96.25 percent, a media expert of 93.75 percent, teacher 100 percent, and student participant 98 percent, which yields an average score of 97%. This multimedia can significantly improve the learning outcome for fourth-grade students of SD Kanisius Beringin Semarang, with the difference between the pretest-posttest ratio of 23.75 and the N-gain ratio of 0.545, which belongs to moderate criteria. Students' interest in learning also increased from 66 percent to 80 percent, indicating the product's effectiveness in increasing engagement and learning outcomes. Overall, the product can be considered highly eligible and effective for enhancing the interest and learning outcomes of alpha-generation students.

Abstract

Interactive media is needed to help teachers so that learning can run optimally. This study aims to develop,  evaluate the feasibility, and measure the effectiveness of interactive multimedia based on Adobe Flash in improving student learning outcomes in fine arts lessons on plastic waste craft materials. This study follows the Borg and Gall research model. The participants consisted of 20 fourth-grade students. Data collection methods include test techniques by conducting pretest and post-test assessments as well as non-test techniques in the form of observation, questionnaires, and interviews. The results of the study namely Adobe Flash Media was considered good by experts and was deemed suitable for use as a learning medium. The effectiveness of this media is shown by an increase in the average pretest and post-test score of 30.85 and the t-test results show a significance of < 0.05 with an n-gain of 0.7043 which is included in the high category. This media received a positive response from teachers and students. This media has proven to be effective, practical, and suitable for use to improve learning outcomes in the fine arts subject of plastic waste craft materials for grade IV of SDN 1 Trembulrejo.

Abstract

Abstract: Critical thinking skills are used by students to face global challenges. This study aims to develop project-based digital teaching modules through social studies learning on students' critical thinking skills in elementary schools. This study is a developmental study using the Borg and Gall model. The subjects of the study are teachers and students of phase C of class V in social studies learning in Majalengka district. Data was collected through interviews, questionnaires, and critical thinking tests, and SPSS was used to analyze them. Data was collected through interviews, questionnaires, and critical thinking tests, with SPSS used for analysis. The results of the study show that teachers need project-based digital teaching modules in social studies learning. The products produced are valid for 86% material experts, 87% media experts, 87% linguists. The Ngain value in the experimental class was 0.73 while the average Ngain value in the control class was 0.24, which means that project-based digital teaching modules are more effectively used in social studies learning. The practicality of project-based digital teaching modules from the overall results of teacher and student questionnaires showed that a score of 91% of the category was very good for use in social studies learning. The project-based digital teaching module developed helps teachers in the social studies teaching process so that it significantly impacts the improvement of students' critical thinking skills.Abstrak: Keterampilan berpikir kritis digunakan oleh siswa untuk menghadapi tantangan global. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul pembelajaran digital berbasis proyek melalui pembelajaran ilmu sosial guna meningkatkan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa di sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan yang menggunakan model Borg dan Gall. Subjek penelitian adalah guru dan siswa kelas V fase C dalam pembelajaran ilmu sosial di Kabupaten Majalengka. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, kuesioner, dan tes berpikir kritis, dan dianalisis menggunakan SPSS. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara, kuesioner, dan tes berpikir kritis, dengan SPSS digunakan untuk analisis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa guru membutuhkan modul pembelajaran digital berbasis proyek dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Produk yang dihasilkan valid untuk 86% ahli materi, 87% ahli media, dan 87% ahli bahasa. Nilai Ngain di kelas eksperimen adalah 0,73 sementara nilai Ngain rata-rata di kelas kontrol adalah 0,24, yang berarti modul pembelajaran digital berbasis proyek lebih efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran sejarah. Kegunaan modul pembelajaran digital berbasis proyek dari hasil keseluruhan kuesioner guru dan siswa menunjukkan skor 91% dalam kategori sangat baik untuk digunakan dalam pembelajaran ilmu sosial. Modul pembelajaran digital berbasis proyek yang dikembangkan membantu guru dalam proses pengajaran ilmu sosial sehingga secara signifikan mempengaruhi peningkatan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa.
