Abstract

The purpose of this study is to understand the extent to which family and peers can shape social behavior and individual identity. This study uses a qualitative approach with library research, involving a review of readings relevant to the topic under discussion. Data were collected from sources such as books, scientific journals found on Google Scholar, and other digital libraries. The following conclusion can be drawn based on the explanation provided: peers and family are the main determinants in the formation of individual identity. Peers are social groups consisting of people who are similar to each other in terms of age, education, or social status, whereas family is the primary institution responsible for raising individuals, incorporating all social norms and ethics. It is hoped that this research will be used as a guide in formulating inclusive and socio-culturally aware educational policies.

Abstract

This article discusses Islamic Religious Education (PAI) materials using a psychological approach to improve students' understanding of religious teachings. This study examines five important aspects: (a) psychologists' perspectives on religion, highlighting its role in shaping identity and mental well-being; (b) adapting PAI materials to students' developmental stages, which is crucial for ensuring that religious teachings are easily accepted and understood; (c) evaluating PAI materials based on interests and talents, which aims to increase student motivation and engagement; (d) a PAI model that focuses on comfort in religious practice, which aims to build a positive relationship between students and religious teachings; and (e) the role of PAI teachers as spiritual advisors who support students' mental and spiritual health. With this approach, religious education can serve as a spiritual foundation and provide ongoing psychological support. This article is expected to serve as a reference for teachers and education practitioners in developing more effective and relevant PAI materials.

Abstract

This study aims to understand the importance of self-identity exploration and learning motivation among junior high school students during puberty. Early adolescence is a transitional phase toward maturity marked by physical, emotional, and social changes. This research employs a qualitative descriptive approach using interviews, observations, and documentation techniques. The findings indicate that selfidentity formation is influenced by family, peers, social media, and the school environment. Meanwhile, students’ learning motivation tends to increase when they receive emotional support and possess strong self-efficacy. Teachers play a vital role as motivators and facilitators in helping students develop their potential and maintain emotional stability during the learning process.

Abstract

This study discusses the social-emotional development of children and adolescents, which is influenced by various factors, particularly parenting styles, peer interactions, school environments, and social media. This topic is important because today’s young generation grows up in two environments simultaneously: the real world and the digital world. The study uses a literature review method by examining relevant publications from the past five years. The analysis shows that authoritative parenting, positive peer relationships, supportive school and community environments, and wise use of social media play important roles in shaping their social-emotional skills. Another finding highlights that parents’ digital literacy is still rarely discussed, even though it is crucial for guiding children in using technology. Overall, social-emotional development is formed through the interaction of multiple factors; therefore, collaboration among families, schools, and the digital environment is needed to support healthy growth and development in children.

Abstract

Penggunaan media presentasi digital seperti Canva dan Prezi semakin banyak diterapkan dalam pembelajaran ekonomi untuk meningkatkan keterampilan presentasi peserta didik. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan Canva dan Prezi terhadap keterampilan presentasi ekonomi serta membandingkan efektivitas kedua media tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain kuasi-eksperimen yang melibatkan dua kelompok peserta didik. Data dikumpulkan melalui tes unjuk kerja berupa presentasi ekonomi yang dinilai menggunakan rubrik keterampilan presentasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penggunaan Canva dan Prezi berpengaruh positif terhadap peningkatan keterampilan presentasi ekonomi, di mana Canva lebih efektif dalam aspek visual dan keteraturan materi, sedangkan Prezi lebih efektif dalam alur penyampaian dan keterkaitan konsep. Kesimpulannya, Canva dan Prezi dapat digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran yang efektif untuk meningkatkan keterampilan presentasi ekonomi peserta didik.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital mendorong inovasi dalam pembelajaran, salah satunya melalui penerapan model flipped classroom yang memanfaatkan video pembelajaran. Dalam pembelajaran ekonomi, model ini dipandang relevan karena mampu meningkatkan pemahaman konsep dan keaktifan siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis efektivitas penggunaan model flipped classroom berbantuan video pembelajaran terhadap hasil belajar ekonomi siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode kuasi eksperimen dan desain nonequivalent control group. Subjek penelitian terdiri atas siswa kelas X/XI IPS di SMA, yang dibagi ke dalam kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan tes hasil belajar, sedangkan analisis data dilakukan dengan uji statistik inferensial. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar yang signifikan antara siswa yang belajar menggunakan model flipped classroom berbantuan video dan siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran konvensional, di mana hasil belajar siswa pada kelas eksperimen lebih tinggi. Temuan ini menunjukkan bahwa model flipped classroom dengan video pembelajaran efektif dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar ekonomi siswa. Dengan demikian, penerapan model flipped classroom berbantuan video dapat dijadikan sebagai alternatif strategi pembelajaran inovatif dalam pembelajaran ekonomi di tingkat SMA/MA.

Abstract

Economic learning, especially in production theory, requires an understanding of abstract and complex concepts. Therefore, the use of appropriate learning media is an important factor in supporting the achievement of learning objectives. This study aims to examine the application of economic simulation videos in production theory learning and their effectiveness in improving the learning process of students. The results of the study show that the integration of simulation video media can create a more meaningful learning experience through the visualization of the concrete production process, making it easier for students to understand the relationship between production factors, costs, and output. Video media also contributes to increasing students' learning motivation, active involvement, and analytical thinking skills. However, the application of simulation videos still faces a number of challenges, particularly related to teachers' readiness in mastering technology and the availability of supporting facilities. Therefore, adequate training and facilities are needed so that the use of simulation video media can be optimally implemented in economics learning.

Abstract

Reading interest among Indonesian students remains relatively low and constitutes a serious problem in education. This study aims to identify the problem of low reading interest, analyze the challenges faced, and formulate effective solutions to increase student interest in reading. The method used was a literature review, analyzing various references related to student reading interest. The results indicate that low reading interest is caused by various factors, such as the influence of digital technology, a lack of early reading habits, limited access to quality reading materials, and unengaging learning methods. Solutions offered include developing digital literacy, strengthening the role of families and schools, literacy-based learning innovations, and utilizing technology as a literacy medium. Abstract

This study examines the development of school competitiveness through SWOT analysis, focusing on SDIT Thoriqul Jannah in Sinjai. In the increasingly competitive educational environment, schools are required to maintain and enhance their competitiveness, especially in areas such as location, pricing, services, and promotion. The study aims to identify the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats (SWOT) of the school in these four aspects and to formulate strategies for improving its competitive position. A qualitative descriptive research method was employed, with data collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings highlight the school's strengths, such as its secure and conducive learning environment, affordable pricing, and strong community engagement. However, the study also identifies weaknesses, including limited accessibility, the need for more flexible payment schemes, and the underutilization of technology in services. The research concludes with strategic recommendations for the school to improve its competitiveness, such as enhancing the use of digital media for promotion, strengthening partnerships with parents and local communities, and optimizing its service quality to meet the growing demands of the educational market. This research contributes to the theoretical understanding of school management strategies and provides practical recommendations for educational institutions seeking to improve their competitiveness in a rapidly evolving market

Abstract

Education is not solely dependent on IQ, but also on emotional intelligence, which includes emotional regulation, empathy, motivation, and social skills. Observations at SMP Al-Lathifi Gondanglegi indicate that students with high emotional intelligence tend to be more active and cooperative, while teacher interventions have been proven to improve positive attitudes and learning outcomes among students with lower emotional intelligence. This study employed a qualitative case study approach at SMP Al-Lathifi Gondanglegi, involving a social studies teacher, a homeroom teacher, and six 8th-grade students as subjects. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, validated using triangulation, and analyzed with Miles & Huberman’s model through data reduction, presentation, and interactive conclusion drawing. The findings reveal that emotional intelligence plays a crucial role in social studies learning at SMP Al-Lathifi Gondanglegi. Students with high emotional intelligence can manage emotions, self-motivate, and maintain good relationships, leading to active and cooperative participation in class. Conversely, students with low emotional intelligence tend to struggle with controlling negative emotions, show less engagement in learning, and achieve lower academic results. Overall, the study indicates that while students’ emotional intelligence is developing positively, it remains unstable. Support from both schools and families is essential to enhance emotional intelligence for academic success and character development
