Abstract

In order for the abstract concepts taught in elementary science subjects to be accepted by students, a medium or intermediary is needed to concretize the material. This media development uses the Sadiman (2008) model, with material on the subject of style. The validity of the development results is indicated by the fulfillment of the criteria obtained from the test results, namely media experts with a validity level of 90.56%, material experts at 91.11% and individual students at 95.56%, small group students of 94.44% and large group students of 91.17%. Based on the results of this validation, it was concluded that the interactive learning animation media on the science subject subject of style was valid or feasible.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the use of instructional videos on the learning outcomes of fourth grade natural science (IPA) subjects at SDN I and SDN III Tasik Honey Trenggalek. The research design used was quasi-experimental (quasi-experimental). This study analyzes whether there are differences in student learning outcomes using instructional video media and not using instructional videos. The results showed that learning using instructional video media was significantly different in the acquisition of learning outcomes compared to learning that did not use instructional video media.

Abstract

Learning audio / radio media development course at the UM FIP department is expected to be able to make / develop various forms and formats with appropriate and appropriate patterns and procedures. The concepts that must be mastered are related to forms, patterns, formats, positions, procedures and how to use audio learning media. If this concept is not mastered, it will affect the quality of the development results. This stage is a very important stage before mastering the production of audio / radio media, it is necessary to master the concepts (preproduction), including: 1) various forms, patterns, formats, positions, procedures and ways of using them, 2) various ways of making audio media learning. In general, development is related to (1) drafting, (2) script writing, (3) production, (4) evaluation. (Arif S. Sadiman, 2007: 97-174). From the description above, it can be explained the phases of the model / approach used in product development, including 1). Identification of needs, 2). Problem Formulation, 3). Formulation of Success Measurement Tools, 4). Production Process, 5). Evaluation, 6). Implementation. The impact of this media development is an increase in the knowledge, attitudes, and development abilities of students. The results of the validation of the learning design experts were 92% and the Media Experts were 90%, this illustrates that the development of learning media really meets the provisions and principles of learning.

Abstract

Mass media is an abbreviation which comes from mass communication media, is a means of conveying messages and aspirations, as well as a means of communication to disseminate information to the public at large. In the reform era, mass media flourished in various forms, for example TV, radio, internet, newspapers, magazines, tabloids, and so on. The mass media has four functions: an information function (to inform) an education function (to educate), an entertainment function (to entertain), and a social control function (to influence). From a number of mass media, online media (internet) is one of the media that is widely used by the public for various purposes, including the preaching of Islam within moderate and radical boundaries. Well, this paper examines the online mass media (internet), considering that the internet is one of the mass media that is easy to get, cheap in cost, can reach all areas and is not limited by space and time.

Abstract

Students sometimes find it difficult to illustrate learning content in the form of knowledge of concepts and procedures. Therefore, this development aims to produce a product in the form of Augmented Reality that is valid for use in learning performance support electronic systems (Electronic Performance Support System). Markers are placed on teaching materials on the part of the image that illustrates a concept, so that when students do not fully understand, the smartphone camera used as a marker detector captures and runs the media to convey knowledge in the form of video and animation. This study uses the Lee-Owen development model with three stages of completion. The result of the development is an Augmented Reality application which is used as a support system for learning performance in teaching materials in valid categories.

Abstract

The purpose of this development is to produce multimedia-based biology teaching materials and teacher instructions for use of biology subjects for eighth grade students of SMP ISLAM YAKIN Tutur, Pasuruan Regency. The development model used in the development of Media-Based Biology Teaching Materials is the Dick and Carey model. Based on the results of the validation and testing of Biology Teaching Materials Based on Media, it can be reported as follows: (1) validation of material experts shows a result of 88%, (2) validation of media experts to show results of 87%, (3) individual trials of students towards showing results of 93%, (4) small group trials to students to showing results of 94%, (5) field trials to students of showing results of 92%. Overall, it can be concluded that the product that has been developed is feasible and valid for use as a learning resource. Suggestions in this development consist of product utilization and further development. For the use of the product, it is suggested that the teacher be able to use learning strategies that can increase the activities and roles of students during the learning process. For further development, it is hoped that there will be further experimental research to measure the effectiveness of Media-Based Biology Teaching Materials.

Abstract

This development research aims to produce appropriate interactive multimedia learning through validation tests on the material of the earth's atmosphere and assessing the effectiveness of the use of multimedia learning. This development uses the research and development procedure of William W. Lee and Diana L. Owens (2004) with the following steps: 1) needs analysis, 2) preliminary analysis, 3) design, 4) development, 5) implementation, 6) evaluators. The results of this development research are interactive multimedia packaged in the form of a compact disk and equipped with a manual for the use of class VIII junior high school students in science learning materials on Earth's atmosphere. Based on the results of the test material experts, media experts, and individual tests, small group tests and field tests of this learning media meet the valid criteria and are suitable for use.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of group investigation learning strategies and expository learning strategies on historical learning outcomes, the effect of vertical and lateral thinking styles on historical learning outcomes, and the influence of the interaction between learning strategies and thinking styles on historical learning outcomes. This study used a quasi-experimental design with a 2x2 factorial version of the pretest posttest nonequivalent control group design. The research subjects were students of class XI at three public high schools in Sigi Regency who were selected by the cluster random sampling method. Subjects were involved as many as 112 people who were divided into six classes. The research data were collected using thinking style instruments and learning outcomes tests and hypothesis testing was carried out at the 5% significance level. The results showed the following findings: 1) descriptively, the group investigation learning strategy was superior to the expository learning strategy in increasing the learning outcomes of history; 2) the student group has a vertical thinking style, has superior historical learning outcomes compared to the student group who has a lateral thinking style; and 3) there is an interaction effect between learning strategies and thinking styles on historical learning outcomes. The results of this study informed that the group investigation learning strategy had a significant effect on history learning outcomes depending on students' thinking styles.
