Abstract

The development today’s business world requires organizations to constanly open to the changing business environment by taking into account the quality of human resources to improve employee performance. Factors can be used to improve the performance of the employee one of them is good leadership and the ideal and condusive work environment. PT. Telkom Indonesia is currenly undergoing a transformation that changes the organization’s leadership structure into decentralization and doing development, both infrastructure and human development. However, the change is not in accordance with the company’s expectation because there are employees with low performance.The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of leadership and work environment on the performance employees of PT. Telkom Indonesia Semarang. This type of research is explanatory research, with data collection through interviews and observation. The sampling technique used purposive sampling with a sample of 74 respondents employees of PT. Telkom Indonesia Semarang. Testing techniques to determine the accuracy and reliability of the item questionnaire as a research  instrument using validity and reliability test. Analysis technique using cross tabulation, correlation coefficient, simple and multiple regression analysis, coefficient of determination, and a significance test ( t test and F test).             Results and discussion of this research show that in partial leadership has a positive impact on employee performance supported by contributions from the coefficient of determination 6,4%. While the work environment has a greater positive impact on employee performance supported by contributions from the coefficient of determination  16%.            Based on the result of the research it is suggested, the leadership to set a good example in the work, routine maintenance and equipment room should also be made to support employees in their work, as well as the necessary training leadership with experiental learning (seminars, study the competition games, contemplation) to develop creativity.

Abstract

The development of information technology can lead consumers to quickly find out information about the existence of a product. Companies are required to provide information about their products correctly so it gets a positive response from consumers. Marketing strategies do companies is to shape the brand image and improve product quality. The main problem in this research is about ups and downs of target achievement is never reached in 2011-2015 that is not optimal. This research aims to identify that the influence of brand image and the product quality of the decision of Smartphone Samsung.This study aims to determine the influence of service quality. Whith survey approach, which requires sample of population and questioner as a means of data collection. This research is conducted to 100 responders which buy Smartphone Samsung. Technique of sample is purposive sampling. The analysis method used is a correlation coefficient, the coefficients determined, linear regression simple, linear regression double, T test and F test with program SPSS version 16.Based on the result analysis, brand image and product quality are able to explain the variables of buying decision as 92,1% while brand image has 16,4% and product quality 92,0%. Brand Image together with product quality have significant influenced toward buying decision.The conclusion of this research indicated that brand image and product quality partially and simultaneously has an influence on the making decision Smartphone Samsung. Based on the result, advice for PT. Samsung Group have to find a variation of Smartphone Samsung to improve the brand image and retaining product quality

Abstract

Competition in online business via e-commerce that more tight makes the e-commerce companies need to increase consumer decisions to buy products, in order to be able to survive and continue to get profit. This research was conducted with aim of examine Brand Image and Website Quality on the purchase decision through e-trust as an intervening variable. This research is quantitative study that uses explanatory research methods or explanative types. The sampling technique uses Purposive Sampling approach. Where the population is all Zalora.co.id consumers in Semarang City, while the sample is 100 Zalora.co.id consumers with certain criteria carried out. The technique of collecting data using questionnaires. The analysis used in this study is linear regression analysis using SPSS 21.0 for Windows software and mediation test (sobel test) to test the mediating effect of intervening variables. Based on the results of this research indicate that Brand Image and Website Quality has a partial and simultaneous effect on e-trust, which when they together with Website Quality it has the greatest influence on e-trust. In addition, Zalora.co.id also has to improve the quality of its website by making an attractive website appearance, increasing the confidence of website users to trust the information provided by the website, the effectiveness and suitability of information added on the website, security in providing personal data, and make it easier for websites to communicate with companies, Zalora.co.id, so this will increase trust, which in turn increases Zalora.co.id's consumer purchasing decisions.Keywords: Brand Image, Website Quality, E-Trust, and Purchasing Decisions.

Abstract

Characteristics of the entrepreneurial is a very important, entrepreneurial characteristics were action, abilities and  otherspesific character that owned by someone who related to entrepreneurial activity. The purpose of this study were to know characteristics of the entrepreneurial business owners and how characteristics of the entrepreneurship role as a business growth factor in MSMEs Martabak Setia Budi Semarang. In this research using qualitative descriptive type.The technique of taking resources is purposive sampling; techniques of data collection is done by conducting interviews, observation, and documentation; data analysis techniques usingcredibility test data by triangulation, transferability test, and confirmability test.The results of this study showed that in the MSMEs Martabak Setia Budi, entrepreneurial characteristics of business owners is a determining factor in the business growth, which is seen from five aspects such as leadership, task orientation and results, confidence, risk-taking and future orientation that have been already good, Advice for MSMEs Martabak Setia Budi which must keep product quality, make innovation so the consumers are not bored and adding the number of employees at each branch.

Abstract

Financial performance analysis is performed to measure the achievement of the company from the financial side.This study aimed to test the influence of firm size, leverage and capital structure, either partially or simultaneously, to company financial performance on manufacturing company Miscellaneous Industries sector listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange period 2012-2016. The data used in this analysis is the is the reference point secondary data in the form of financial report published by IDX. The sample in this study were 36 companies. Data Analysis technique used in this research are simple and multiple linear regression. Results of the study stated that leverage effect significantly to company financial performance, firm size and capital structure are not effect significantly to company financial performance, and simultaneously there was significant influence between firm size, leverage and capital structure to company financial performance.

Abstract

Raw material inventory control system to determine and ensure the availability of supplies of raw materials in quantity, quality and timely manner. The problem in this study is the procurement of raw material inventory of tobacco at PR. Gambang Sutra Kudus still have excess. This is related to the frequency of purchase of raw materials and quantity of raw material purchase, so as to result in waste of working capital that is embedded in the supply of raw materials and the cost of raw materials ordering and storage costs of raw materials. The purpose of this research was to determine how the level of efficiency in the procurement of raw material inventory between EOQ method compared to the company policies of the PR. Gambang Sutra Kudus.The type of research is descriptive analytical research. Data analysis begins with a comparative analysis of the quantity of raw materials, total inventory cost of raw materials and the cost of raw materials between company policies of PR. Gambang Sutra Kudus with EOQ method. Based on the research result shows that by using the EOQ method can be more efficient when compared to the company policies of the PR. Gambang Sutra Kudus, quantity and frequency of purchase raw materials are less but still account for safety stock and reorder point, so that the production process is not disrupted. Beside that, the cost of purchase, ordering cost and holding cost are lower, so as to create efficiencies in the total inventory cost.  PR. Gambang Sutra Kudus in conducting the procurement of raw material inventory should use the EOQ method for the company to obtain a higher level of efficiency, as well as take into account the safety stock and reorder point in order to avoid excess inventory of raw materials.

Abstract

The development of the digital world, especially the Internet makes buying or selling online through e-commerce is growing rapidly. This makes many emerging e-commerce offering a variety of services and promotion. However, due to competition between online stores are increasingly stringent, Tokopedia as one of the largest in Indonesia, should strive to become the largest e-commerce in Indonesia, namely by launching a range of services and promotions. This study aims to determine influence of Service Quality (X1) and Promotion (X2) toward Purchasing Decisions at E-Commerce Tokopedia in Semarang City. This type of research is explanatory. Using a combination of accidental and purposive sampling, ie by distributing questionnaires online through google form, and offline by going directly to the field. The total sample is 97 respondents. Measurement scale using Likert scale. In the analysis of the data using validity, reliability, correlation coefficient, multiple linear regression analysis, the determinant coefficient, t test and f test using SPSS. The results show variable service quality and promotion in this study had an influence toward the purchase decision variable partially or simultaneously. Its recommendation is to increase the sales promotion by giving discounts, vouchers, or bonuses. Improving the service quality in terms of the ease of contacting the seller also the ease and speed of a refund if the goods are not appropriate, and improve purchasing decisions through increased customer satisfaction in line with expectations given.

Abstract

The digitalization evolution have caused the rapid growth of the marketplaces. One of them is Shopee, which was the leading marketplace in Southeast Asia and Taiwan. However, Shopee have failed to retain its competitiveness against other marketplaces such as Tokopedia  and Lazada with a decrease on its visitor amount who are looking information at Shopee. It indicates that the consumer’s interest rate are fairly low which will affect repurchase intention. Therefore, Shopee need to pay attention for the possible affecting conditions related to consumers purchasing intentions.This study aims to determine the effect of sales promotion and also e-service quality on Shopee consumers purchasing intentions. This type of research is explanatory research. Samples are taken from 100 respondents who had made purchases on Shopee. The sampling techniques are accidental sampling and purposive sampling. Data were collected by a questioner, and literature studies. The analysis methods used are validity test, reliability test, correlation test, simple linear regression test, multiple linear regression test, determination coefficient (R2), and significance t test and f test with the help of IBM SPSS program version 25.0.Based on the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the sales promotion and e-service quality have an effect on purchasing intentionss proven through the simple regression test with the result in regression values of 0,690 and 0,785.The given advice to the company are to fix the promotion issues and improving the amount of the selling promotion that have been carried and also re-evaluate the e-service quality strategy.

Abstract

Labor as resources who have skills, potential and creativity need to be developed as optimal as possible to be able to achieve the success of the company. Employee productivity is affected by several factors, including the work culture, motivation and social security. Decrease employee productivity are caused by less good work culture, lack of motivation and lack of social security services. PT. Gentong Gotri Semarang as one of the organization of a business which moves in the tobacco industry inside of them there are roll departement employees who are actively involved in activities company every day which is the production of cigarette.This study aims to identify and explain the effect of cultural work , motivation and social security on employee productivity cigarette factory roll departement at PT. Gentong Gotri Semarang. This research uses research tipe explanatory approach to 75 respondents with purposive sampling technique sampling. Data collection techniques in this study using the technique of interviews, questionnaires, observation and study of literature. The analysis technique used is qualitative and quantitative. Quantitative analysis using frequency table, cross-table analysis, validity test, reliability test, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression and tests of significance (t test and F test) with the help of SPSS program for Windows version 20.0.Results of statistical analysis known partial effect between the working culture and employee productivity of 29,2%, then the motivation with employee productivity equation of 33,5%. While the social scurity with employee productivity of 23%. Simultaneous influence cultural work, motivation and social security on employee productivity of 36,2% while 63,8% is influenced by other factors.Recommendations for improving employee productivity for the company to increase its attention to the work culture, motivation and assurance which in turn will ultimately increase employee productivity from employees.
