Abstract

The rapid development of capital markets are now attracting the attention of people and capital owners to invest in capital markets. During the year 2013-2016 the average stock price of the textile and garment enterprises sub-sector experienced a fluctuating condition. The financial ratios that are suspected to affect the ups and downs of stock prices are ROA and EPS. The population of this research are 15 Textile and Garment Sub-Sector Companies listed on Indonesia Stock Exchange in 2013-2016. The analysis technique used is linear regression analysis with SPSS program. This study aims to determine the effect of ROA on stock prices through EPS as a mediator. The results showed that ROA has no significant effect on stock prices, but ROA has a significant influence on the mediation variable that is EPS. EPS variable has positive and significant effect to stock price. ROA and EPS have a significant effect on stock prices. EPS is fully mediated variable and can significantly mediate the relationship between ROA and stock prices. Based on the analysis results, can be concluded that the variables that affect the stock price is EPS, while the ROA variable does not affect the stock price. As well as EPS variables can mediated the relationship between ROA and stock prices. The results of this research, it is expected the company further increase the profitability of the company in order to increase the stock price so that it can give benefit the company and investors.

Abstract

Mascara is a cosmetic product needed by women to perfect their appearance. As a brand that is quite prominent in Indonesia and dominates the market, Wardah and Maybelline compete to create products in accordance with consumer expectations. However, Wardah has not been able to surpass Maybelline for mascara products. As for products other than mascara, Wardah tends to dominate the market. This study aims to determine the effect of product quality and prices on purchasing decisions of Wardah and Maybelline mascara. This type of research is explanatory research and sampling uses nonprobability sampling techniques, purposive sampling method. Data collection using questionnaires and google form. The sample used was 200 respondents using Wardah and Maybelline mascara in the city of Semarang. This study uses quantitative and qualitative analysis with validity, reliability, correlation coefficients, coefficient of determination, simple and multiple regression, significance of t test and F test, normality test and Mann Whitney test. The results of the study show that the variables of product quality and price have an effect on purchasing decisions. The variable correlation coefficient of product quality and price for Wardah mascara has a strong relationship, Maybelline mascara has a moderate relationship. The determination coefficient of product quality variable on Wardah mascara purchasing decision variable is 39.1%, Maybelline mascara is 25.6%. The determination coefficient of the price variable on the variable purchase decision of Wardah mascara was 42.6%, Maybelline's mascara was 27.2%.

Abstract

The need for human resources are not small and labor requirements vary with the complex challenges of the work is a problem for a company. PT. APAC INTI CORPORA engaged in textiles that need to maintain human resources work in order to meet the quantity and quality of the product. However, in 2013 the production and performance of any inconsistency unfavorable assessments on the performance of the employee.The purpose of research to determine the effect of work commitment, job stress, and work discipline on employee performance Spinning Part III PT. APAC INTI CORPORA. This research method is explanatory, data collection through interviews with questionnaires. Proportionate stratified random sampling technique is used with a sample of 87 people. The analysis technique used was qualitative and quantitative. Quantitative analysis using validity, reliability test, correlation coefficient, simple and multiple regression analysis, the coefficient of determination, cross tabulation, and tests of significance.Categorization work commitment is high, but there are some that in the low category. Employee stress is low, but there is still residing in the high category. Discipline employees in good condition, although there is still a lack of good condition. The level of employee performance is good, but there are still employees who have low performance. Results and discussion showed the higher commitment to work, the higher the performance of employees, reduced work stress, the higher the performance of employees, and the better labour discipline, the higher the performance of employees, simultaneously work commitment, work stress, and labour discipline affect employee performance.Companies must increase loyalty to employees, to put forward a conducive atmosphere in work activities, and socializing with good rules, provide counseling regarding the standards and efficiency of work, and the need for further research by the company or outside parties on other variables such motivation, job satisfaction, training work, which can affect employee performance improvement.

Abstract

The success of a company depends on several components that areinterconnected and mutually supportive of one another. These components are thequality of service and customer satisfaction. There are five dimensions ofcharacteristics that can be used to measure and assess the extent to which thecompany is able to provide quality services related to customer satisfaction, namely:reliability, responsiveness, assurance, empathy and tangible.This study aims to identify and analyze how much influence the quality ofservice to the level of satisfaction experienced by customers who use the services ofPost Office Semarang.The study method used in this study is the method of interviews,questionnaires, and literature study using a Likert scale and the sampling methodused was accidental sampling of 100 samples. The analytical method used wassimple and multiple method regression analysis.Based on the result analysis, variable the reliability, responsiveness,assurance, empathy and tangible, have a positive influence of the customersatisfaction. Variable empathy have the most influence is as much as 39,8%.Variable tangible have influence of 39%, Variable reliability have influence of 32,9%,Variable responsiveness have influence of 24,4% and variable assurance haveinfluence of 35,9%. Simultaneously a variable the reliability, responsiveness,assurance, empathy and tangible, having contributions amounting to 72,2% of thecustomer satisfaction.

Abstract

In the restaurant business, which is the key to success is the diversity of menu and the quality of products offered. Consumers will compare the suitability of the sacrifices made by the quality of products and the diversity of the menu offered by the restaurant, other attributes inherent in a product such as brand image and advertising needs to be developed to influence customer purchase. This study aims to determine  effect of the diversity of menu, product quality, brand image, and advertising on consumer purchasing decisions McDonald's Java Mall Semarang. Variable diversity of menu influence the purchase decision of 48.6 percent. Variables quality of the product influence purchase decisions at 54.2 percent. Variables of brand image influence purchase decisions for 47.3 percent. Variable advertising influence purchase decisions of  37.2 percent. Variable menu variety, product quality, brand image, and advertising on purchase decisions for 66.4 percent. This means that the increasing diversity of the menu, product quality, brand image, and advertising is expected to increase consumer purchasing decisions.Based on this research, the McDonald’s Java Mall innovation cause diversity menu, improving the ability of officers in the service, consistency in the application of Quality, Service, Cleanliness, and Value and create the image of a good, proper advertising as well as unique and interesting will positively impact to consumer purchasing decisions

Abstract

Human resource management is currently looking at an employee in the company as a corporate asset. Although employees are viewed as assets of the company, the employee can not be obtained as easily as other company assets in the form of goods. This is because it takes also a match between the qualifications that companies want to qualifications held by the job applicant. This match is required by the company, so employees who work to help the company to achieve its vision and mission. The vision and mission of a company, will be obtained with the employee's performance. Leadership and working environment has an influence on employee performance through motivation as an intervening variable in the production employees of PT. Bandeng Juwana. Production employee performance can be seen from the achievement of production targets, but it has not succeeded in the production target is reached.In this study used a sampling technique is simple random sampling of 77 production employees of PT. Bandeng Juwana. The technique of collecting data using questionnaires and interviews, the research instrument was a questionnaire. The data obtained were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively through validity and reliability test. While data analysis is done through a simple linear regression analysis, multiple linear regression, t-test, F test and path analysis.Based on the results of the analysis are known pathways that influence leadership variable and variable work environment for employee performance variables, namely, leadership variables have a direct effect of 0.332, and the work environment has a direct influence amounted to 0,348. Motivation as an intervening variable has an effect of 0.350 on the variable employee performance. Then if leadership through motivation to affect performance, it is known the effect of 0.486. Meanwhile, if the work environment through motivation to affect performance, it is known the effect of 0.949. Based on this it can be seen that, the influence of leadership and work environment on employee performance will be greater if through motivation. Based on the test results of variable F leadership, work environment and motivation on the performance together look that F count> F table (52.851> 2.73), and based on the results of multiple regression results also show that leadership, work environment and motivation to have a positive influence the performance of employees.The conclusion from this study is that there is a positive and significant influence between leadership and work environment on employee performance, through motivation as an intervening variable. The advice given is to be increased attention on variable motivation for increasing employee performance.

Abstract

Return On Assets (ROA) is a profitability ratio to measure the ability of banks in generating profits so that the greater the ratio of ROA, the better performance of the bank. ROA at conventional commercial banks listed on the IDX continues to decline from 2012 to 2016. The ratios that are expected to affect profitability are CAR, LDR, NPL and NIM.  The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of CAR, LDR, NPL and NIM on ROA. This type of research is explanatory research. The population of this study is 43. The population of this study are 28 banks with criteria of conventional commercial banks listed on the BEI before 2012 and remain registered until the end of 2016. Analysis techniques used are correlation analysis, determination coefficient test, linear regression test, and significance test using SPSS 21 data processing application.  Result and discussion: CAR and LDR have no significant effect on ROA. NPL had a significant negative effect on ROA of 39.2%. NIM positively significant positive to ROA of 32.9%. CAR, LDR, NPL, and NIM have a significant effect on ROA of 53.8% simultaneously.  Conclusion and suggestion: Based on multiple regression test, NPL variables has the greatest influence to ROA so it is expected that banks more to supervise and monitor the provision of credit in order to avoid bad loans.

Abstract

This research was motivated by fact that there’s a decline in consumers interest to watch movies in E-Plaza cinema since there’s new competitor emerged in Semarang, affected by lifestyle and price perception factors. This research is aimed to test the influence of activity, interest, opinion (AIO), and price perception towards consumers’ decision to watch movies at E-Plaza cinema Semarang. 100 people in Semarang were chosen as sample by non-probability sampling technique. Linear regression analysis and significance test were used to test the hypotheses using SPSS 17.0. The study results indicate that partially; activity has no influence towards consumer decision, whereas interest and opinion, in spite of having low effects, still has positive influence towards consumer’s decision. Price perception, as the biggest influencer, has positive and significant influence towards consumers’ decision. Simultaneously, activity, interest, opinion and price perception influences consumer’s decision at 48,1%.

Abstract

Capital market activity as one of the potential of the national economy increasingly puts its rolein developing the national economy. Several methods are used by IPOs for shares that investors maintaintheir stocks and shares glance that they can remain competitive in the world capital markets, one ofwhich is to implement a stock split.This study aimed to analyze the effect of the stock split on stock pricesand trading volumes. This type of research is a study that is included in the category event study or thestudy of events. Type of sampling using purposive sampling method. The sample in this study were 42companies that conduct a stock split in the period 2010-2015.The results of this study indicate that thereare significant differences between the stock price and trading volume before and after the stock split.Stock split is still a policy that affect stock prices and trading volumes. Results were obtained byanalyzing secondary data using the data normality test, different test, and Wilcoxon signed ranktest.Based on this, the researchers suggest though stock split is still a significant effect, but the stock splitdid not ensure that the market will react as expected the company, as a result of this study showed thatthe activity of the stock split does not guarantee that the average stock trading volume will increaseaccordingly with purpose. Therefore, issuers are advised paying attention to other factors in decidingpolicies stock split.

Abstract

The Culture that exist in a company will influence how the way of employee work and how the employee behave and have same perspective in doing work activities. Culture of the company have impact in the efficiency and effectiveness of the company. Based on data obtained from PT. Wahana Sun Motor Majapahit Semarang, it shows fluctuating performance appraisal from 2016-2018. This is certainly a loss for PT. Wahana Sun Motor Majapahit Semarang if not immediately repaired, considering that PT. Wahana Sun Motor Majapahit Semarang always wants improved employee performance. The local HRD/GA said that there was an impact of the unfavorable application of corporate culture on employee performance. The statement is in line with the results of the preliminary study which states that there are indications of performance fluctuations caused by the culture of the company. Through the results of the preliminary study it can be seen that there are indications of performance fluctuations caused by coorporate culture. PT. Wahana Sun Motor Majapahit Semarang is a company that moved in a distribution of vehicle sales and after sale service. PT. Wahana Sun Motor Majapahit Semarang adjust 5 company culture such as integrity, responsible, cooperative, business harmony and continuous learning and improvement. The type of this research is explanatory research with 26 employee as respondent. The technique of collecting data is questionnaire, observation, and literature review. The Technique of analysis are validation test, reliability of the correlation coefficient, coefficient of determination, simple and multiple linear regression, t arithmetic and F arithmetic. From the analysis that already done variable integrity has a correlation coefficient of 0.478, variable responsible has 0,739, variable cooperative has 0,647, variable business harmony has 0,561, variable continuous learning and improvement has 0,641, and variabel company culture has 0,858. Coefficient of determination integrity has 22,8 %, responsible has 54,7 %, cooperative has 41,9%, business harmony has 31,5 % and continuous learning and improvement has 41,1 %. Simple regression test integrity gave positive effect of 0,293, responsible has 0,633, cooperative has 0,510, business harmony has 0,757, continuous learning and improvement has 0,326 and company culture has 0,737.. Simultaneously, integrity, responsible, cooperative, business harmony,and continous learning and improvement take effect with employee performance with F-Count (5,975) > F-Table (2,71) with significance number 0,002 < 0,005. The conclusion from this research is variable company culture take effect with the employee performance of PT. Wahana Sun Motor Majapahit Semarang. The suggestions is the company should be raise the attention towards company culture especially in responsible variable and continous learning and improvement so in the end it will give good effect on employee performance.
