Abstract

At this time a very flourishing modern small-scale retail store open to the urban areas between districts / cities. This phenomenon is beneficial for the community shopper / customers, but considered very detrimental to traditional retailers. The presence of modern retail adjacent to supplement traditional retail competition, because the goods sold relatively the same. The purpose of this study to determine the impact of modern retail presence to traditional retail in Urban Areas in Central Java Province.As the object of this study is the owner of a traditional retail in the urban area of Central Java Province. Sampling area includes traditional retailers located in the Semarang City – Demak District, Demak District – Kudus District, Semarang City- Kendal District, Kendal District – Batang District, Pekalongan City, Batang District, Semarang District- Salatiga City, Salatiga City – Boyolali District, and Semarang District – Temanggung District. Purposively selected sample criteria; contained modern retail ( Indomart / Alfamart , etc. ) within a radius of 2 kilometers from the farthest traditional retail and traditional retail establishment earlier than modern retail, as well as modern retailing began operation after 4 months of time since the survey.Sample size was 100 traditional retail spread in each sampling area. Analysis methods used in this study is a quantitative method, using statistical analysis with a description diskripstif single table. While infrensial statistical analysis used to test different modern retail impact on traditional retail turnover includes sales, merchandise range, the number of buyers. It also conducted a regression analysis to determine variables that could explain some of the impact of modern retail presence in traditional retail.Based on the analysis, traditional retailers feel the impact of the presence of modern retail is located adjacent to the store, namely reduction in sales turnover, reduced profitability, reduced variety of merchandise sold, and the declining number of buyers. While based on different test average gain in sales turnover, merchandise range, and the number of buyers between before and after the introduction of modern retailing, significant differences, the decline in sales turnover, a decrease in the variety and quantity of merchandise, and the number of buyers. Regression test results concluded that the distance does not affect the change in sales turnover in traditional retail stores, and the distance has an influence on the number of buyers at traditional retail stores.Recommendations from this study, which party should have the authority to regulate the permissibility radius modern retail stores operating in the region. Also the modern retail businesses not too much to open retail stores adjacent to the modern traditional retail stores that have been there before.

Abstract

This research aims to examine factors that generate brand loyalty of cellular phone consumption, which will focus on correlation of two variables, brand trust and brand satisfactions and brand loyalty, and then followed by examination of correlation of brand satisfactions and brand loyalty through the brand trust as an intervening variable. Using the concept of trust from Deutsh (Lau and Lee, 2000) and the concept of loyalty from Assael (1998); this research examines 100 users of cellular phone in Semarang that has the experience of consuming two different brand of cellular phone in 2006. The result shows that brand satisfactions have a direct correlation with brand loyalty, but moderately weaker compare to the correlation between brand satisfactions through brand trust as an intervening variable.

Abstract

Local govenment has an obligation to present its local financial responsibility report to be judged, whethe or not local government successfully conducting their job or not. One of the tool use to analyze government’s performance is managing its local financial performance is financial ratio on APBN that has been set up and proceed. Some ratios developed based on APBD financial datas are : autonomy piscal, efectivity pohor.

Abstract

ABSTRACTBank is an institution that serves as a financial intermediary. Banks accept deposits from the public money and then distribute it back in the form of loans. This research was conducted to examine the effect of Third Party Funds (TPF), Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR), Non Performing Loan (NPL), Return on Assets (ROA) and the Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR) toward Credit Volume at The Government Banks (study Empyrical of Indonesia Government Banks in the period 2006-2011).The data used in this study is a secondary data obtained from Bank Indonesia’s  libraries. The analysis technique using linear regression, while hypothesis testing using t - test and test - F at a significance level of 5%. The classical assumptions test used in this study include normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity and autocorrelation test.Based on the research, it can be conclude that the third party funds and return on assets have a positive and significant impact on the volume of lending. Meanwhile, capital adequacy ratio, non performing loans and loan to deposit ratio are negative and not significant effect on the volume of lending. Simoultaneously there is a significant effect between third party funds, capital adequacy ratio, non performing loan, return on assets and loan to deposit ratio to the volume of loans.

Abstract

Toyota is an automotive company that manufactures Toyota Avanza. There are several motives in buying the Toyota Avanza, one of which is the image of the brand. But, in the city of Semarang instability sales volume of Toyota Avanza. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of brand image and brand trust on purchase decisions. The sampling technique used nonprobability sampling technique, purpose accidental sampling and purposive sampling-judgment sampling with a sample size of 100 respondents. Engineering analysis using linear regression analysis and correlation. The results of this study indicate that the variable brand image has positive and significant impact on purchasing decisions. The conclusion of this study is the image of the brand and trust in the brand Toyota Avanza is good. Suggestions can be submitted is a Toyota as a company should further strengthen the brand image and consumer confidence and sales of Toyota Avanza car will be more stable.

Abstract

This research purpose to find out influence of service quality on hospitalized patient satisfaction at Islamic Hospital Magelang City. This research included in explanatory. Taked 100 respondents as sample with stratified proportionate random sampling method. Collecting data used questionnaire. Hypotheses tested by correlation coefficient, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, t test, F test, and determination coefficient. The result of this research show that realibility dimension have significant influence to patient satisfaction, responsiveness dimension have significant influence to patient satisfaction, assurance dimension have significant influence to patient satisfaction, empathy dimension have significant influence to patient satisfaction, tangibles dimension have significant influence to patient satisfaction. Realibility, responsiveness, assurance, empathy, and tangibles dimension in partial and simultaneous have significant influence to patient satisfaction.

Abstract

Auto insurance is an insurance product Jasindo motor vehicle owned by PT. Insurance Jasindo Semarang (Persero). Several factors will determine the selection decision is the value of insurance premiums and quality of service. Premium value or price has two main roles in the decision making process of the buyer, that is the allocation role and information role. Good quality services will give a good image or reputation in the eyes of consumers so that consumers will be attracted to choose services. This study aimed to determine the effect of premium value and service quality toward the selection decision of insurance. Type of research is explanatory research. With a sample of 78 respondents who use jasindo oto insurance through non probability sampling technique which is purposive sampling. The analysis technique uses test validity, reliability testing, simple linear regression, multiple linear regression, t test and F test with SPSS tools 15. The results showed an effect of premium value of 85,1% against the decision of the selection jasindo auto insurance. Affect the quality of service is 90,8% against the decision of the selection of auto insurance jasindo. Simultaneously, the influence rate of premium value and service quality is at 92.3%. Based on data analysis, it can be inferred partially and simultaneously that the premium value and service quality significantly influence selection decision and have a very strong level of closeness relationship. Suggested, the company needs to conduct training for employees to improve their skills regarding information presentation techniques.

Abstract

effort to keep relationships among customers, service quality is the key to maintain customers and give high value through customer’s value. Customers will compare between the services quality provided and price which is charged for servicing. The customers’ desired compatibility to the AHASS 0002’s will create customer satisfaction. This research aimed to find out the effect of service quality, price and customer value to customer satisfaction of AHASS 0002 Repair Shop Semarang Honda Center. The population in this research is the service customer users who served in AHASS 0002 Semarang Honda Center. The 100 respondents was taken as the research sample and the sampling technique used is the purposive sampling. Measurement scale using Likert scale. In data analysing using simple linear regression and multiple regression test helped with SPSS 16.00. Based on the results of data analysis, known that the service quality, price, and customer value has positive effect on customer satisfaction, either partially or simultaneously. Simultaneously, variable of service quality, price, and customer value affect on customer satisfaction at 69.5 percent. This means the better service quality, the suitable expected prices of the customers, the high value of customer, the high customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This research is aimed to identify the effect of marketing mix: product, price, promotion and distribution on Yamaha NMAX purchasing decission in Semarang whether as parcial effect and as simultan effect. The type of research is explanotory research with 97 respondents which calculated using purposive sampling technique. Instrument data collection technique is by questionnaire and interview. Data were analyzed using liner regression analysis by SPSS For Windows. This research concludes that product, price, promotion, and place have positive and significant influence on puchasing decission partially. Furthermore, marketing mix has a positive and significant influence on puchasing decission and product is the most siginificant variabel. Concumer perseption of product, price, promotion and distribution are in good category. Then, purchasing decission is in high level. So, advice that can be given for PT. Yamaha Motor Manufaktur Indonesia is to improve that good perception higher with variate the product, use brand ambassador, fullfill the need fast, and provide new distributions channel.

Abstract

The current government continues to increase efforts to explore domestic revenues from the tax sector because the tax sector is a very potential revenue to be explored, where the results of domestic tax revenues are a source of government funding to improve welfare and prosperity and to overcome social problems. Seeing this requires a substantial tax receipt for funding in carrying out state responsibilities. The greater the tax revenue received, the greater the income earned by a country. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of service quality, taxpayer consciousness, and tax knowledge on taxpayer compliance. The hypothesis in this research is the existence influence between the variable of service quality, taxpayer consciousness, and tax knowledge on taxpayer compliance. The results showed that the variable of service quality has a positive and significant effect on taxpayer compliance,  the  variable  of taxpayer  consciousness  has  a  positive  and  significant  effect  on  taxpayer compliance, the variable of tax knowledge has a positive and significant effect on taxpayer compliance. Service quality, taxpayer consciousness, and tax knowledge have positive and significant effect on taxpayer compliance. Taxpayer compliance still needs to be improved so that in this research suggest to socialize the importance of the tax. This research is also expected as an input for the next researcher.
