Abstract

Water is a very important component for human life. Water demand will continue to increase over time so that the water supply must be balanced between the needs and infrastructure of clean water. This study aims to put forward the condition of clean water infrastructure to service the needs of the community and determine strategies that can be carried out for the development of clean water infrastructure in the fishing settlements of Berbas Pantai Village. Data collection methods used include observations, questionnaires, documentation, and literature studies. The analysis methods used are analysis, qualitative descriptive, geometry, and calculation of water requirements. The results of the analysis show that the Berbas Pantai Village has a problem of clean water both raw water sources and inadequate clean water infrastructure so that a strategy to develop clean water infrastructure is needed. The strategies for developing clean water infrastructure include the addition of a PDAM network, addition of public hydrants, construction of rainwater reservoirs, addition of PDAM Bontang Municipal water discharge capacity, and a seawater treatment system using the distillation method.

Abstract

Housing and settlements began to develop rapidly in functional areas, especially in the city of Makassar. Land use problems basically arise due to the absence of clear and precise references in determining the location or land for buildings. This problem occurs in the Kalukuang Village area which is one of the new business center areas or the Central Business District (CBD). This area has developed quite rapidly due to its strategic location in the middle of the city. The purpose of this study is, to determine the condition of housing development patterns, the condition of facilities and infrastructure, analyze the driving factors and pull factors, and compile the residential housing structuring concept in Kalukuang Village. The analytical method used is descriptive and exploratory qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis and needs analysis. The results of this study indicate the development of settlements in the Kalukuang Village following a road network pattern in the form of a grid pattern. Some of the available facilities and infrastructure already meet the standards for example, educational facilities, worship, road infrastructure, and others. The driving factor affecting the development of settlements is a strong kinship factor and available residential land. Meanwhile, the pull factors are near work location, low transportation costs, complete facilities and infrastructure, and strong psychological factors. The concept of settlement arrangement is in the form of settlement patterns, namely, grid patterns in zones 1 and 2, centralized patterns in zones 3, 4, and 5. In addition, a waste management and road improvement system is also planned.

Abstract

Small islands have enormous economic potential related to the fisheries and marine sector. The increasing population and the continued development of community economic activities have an impact on the stability of land and the environment within the island's space. This study aims to identify the physical and environmental carrying capacity of the community's economy and develop spatial planning concepts for the economic development of the Barangdi Caddi Island community, Makassar City. The analytical method used is the analysis of land tensile capacity based on water availability or land cover and map overlay to determine the amount of space used for economic activities. The results of this study indicate that, physical and environmental aspects have an important role for the sustainability and development of economic activities. However, these aspects do not yet have the maximum carrying capacity of economic activities and their development on Barrang Caddi Island. The physical carrying capacity that supports economic activities is the location of fish cages with good depth, while the environmental carrying capacity is a gentle topographical condition for duck maintenance. The planning concept that will be applied is the division of the island into 3 zones, namely, the zone of preservation, intensive use, and conservation. The placement of this zone pays attention to important aspects related to island spatial planning namely, physical and environmental carrying capacity and aspects of community economic activities.

Abstract

The development around the shopping center area occurred quite rapidly and caused a fairly large pull which was marked by the number of trips to the shopping center. This of course raises problems in the shopping center area, especially the problem of circulation. This study aims to assess the level of vitality, identify the condition of the circulation system and develop the concept of structuring the direction of the Makassar Central Market circulation system. The data used were sourced from direct observation, interviews, and literature studies. The analytical method used is quantitative and qualitative descriptive analysis. Based on the results of the analysis conducted, the level of vitality of the Central Market is very high, which of course directly affects the condition of the Central Market circulation system. Traffic jams often occur in this area due to poor traffic management. Conflicts occur between private vehicles and public transportation, vehicles with pedestrians, vehicles with street vendors, and conflicts between the flow of goods and the flow of visitors. The concept of structuring the circulation system in the Central Market area refers to the concept of Travel Demand Management (TDM), where the main strategy is to reduce the use of motorized vehicles, increase the mode of walking and cycling as well as increase the use of high occupancy vehicles.

Abstract

Arrangement of a region's transportation system is basically often adjusted to the needs and availability of regional space and other supporting facilities in an effort to meet the needs of the community in terms of the environment and aspects of the regional economy. The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics of the transportation system, identify the influence of PT. Semen Tonasa, and formulate the concept of urban spatial planning in Bungoro District, Pangkep Regency based on the study of regional transportation systems on spatial patterns. The analytical method used is qualitative descriptive analysis, spatial mapping (overlay), and mapping. The results of this study indicate that the characteristics of the transportation system in Bungoro District still do not meet the standards in terms of supply. Furthermore, from the analysis of the transportation system of PT. Semen Tonasa can be concluded that the transportation system of PT. Semen Tonasa influences the spatial pattern of Bungoro District, especially land use changes in several regions. Meanwhile, the concept of urban spatial planning in Bungoro District is based on a study of transportation systems in the form of directions for developing alternative routes for PT. Semen Tonasa so that it does not interfere with community transportation activities in Bungoro District.
