Abstract

Semut merupakan kelompok serangga yang dapat menjadi indikator kondisi lingkungan karena keberadaan dan keanekaragaman jenisnya dipengaruhi oleh kualitas habitat. Jika jumlah jenis semut yang ditemukan relatif rendah, hal ini dapat mengindikasikan adanya gangguan lingkungan, rendahnya heterogenitas habitat, atau tingginya aktivitas manusia yang memengaruhi stabilitas ekosistem. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis semut yang terdapat di kawasan kampus Universitas PGRI Silampari Lubuklinggau serta mendeskripsikan keanekaragaman jenisnya. Penelitian dilakukan melalui observasi lapangan, pengambilan sampel, dan identifikasi terhadap jenis semut yang ditemukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya delapan jenis semut: semut rangrang (*Oecophylla smaragdina*), semut rahang perangkap (*Odontomachus simillimus*), semut berbau (*Tapinoma sessile*), semut api (*Solenopsis* sp.), semut kepala hitam (*Tapinoma melanocephalum*), semut firaun (*Monomorium pharaonis*), semut pemburu hitam (*Leptogenys diminuta*), dan semut gila kuning (*Anoplolepis gracilipes*). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa ditemukan delapan jenis semut di kawasan kampus Universitas PGRI Silampari Lubuklinggau.

Abstract

Gastropods are a class within the phylum Mollusca that play a crucial role in aquatic ecosystems, both as detritivores and as bioindicators of environmental quality. This study aims to determine the species diversity of gastropods in irrigation channels in Air Satan Village. Irrigation channels, as artificial aquatic ecosystems, provide habitats for various aquatic organisms, including gastropods, whose presence is influenced by environmental conditions such as water flow, substrate, temperature, and the availability of organic matter. This study employed a field survey method using the hand-collecting sampling technique at several observation points along the irrigation channels. Sampling was conducted directly by manually collecting gastropods found on the substrate surface, rocks, aquatic vegetation, or the water bottom. Species identification was based on morphological characteristics using relevant taxonomic literature. The data obtained were analyzed descriptively. The study identified the following gastropod species: Achatina fulicata, Filopaludina javanica, Melanoides tuberculata, Pilus ampullacea, Pomacea canaliculata, Subulina octona, Oxcychilus draparnaudi, and Laevicaulis alte. It was concluded that eight gastropod species were found in the irrigation channels of Air Satan Village. This study is expected to provide an overview of the gastropod community structure and the ecological conditions of the irrigation channels in Air Satan Village. This information is important.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a web-based library information system at SMA Negeri 2 Lubuklinggau using the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method. The research was motivated by library management activities that were still dominated by manual recording, which caused data redundancy, delays in searching book collections, difficulty tracking borrowing and returning transactions, and inefficient report preparation. This study used an applied system development approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and literature study. The RAD stages consisted of requirements planning, design workshop, and implementation. The system design included a logical record structure, sequence diagram, and interface prototype, while functional validation was conducted using black-box testing. The results show that the system can manage book data, member data, borrowing transactions, return transactions, and library reports. Black-box testing indicates that the main functional features run according to the expected scenarios. Therefore, the RAD method is suitable for developing a school library information system because it supports rapid prototyping, active user involvement, and iterative improvement based on operational needs.

Abstract

The acceleration of information technology in the contemporary digital epoch necessitates higher education institutions to undergo continuous transformation to reinforce the quality of academic services, particularly within library management systems as central hubs for literature. Currently, Universitas PGRI Silampari encounters significant operational hurdles in its conventional book circulation management. Primary challenges encompass physical storage constraints for collections, inefficient reference retrieval mechanisms, and accessibility barriers for students with high mobility. These circumstances directly result in diminished academic productivity and prolonged administrative processing durations. This research initiates the design and development of an innovative mobile-based digital solution titled "i-Pustaka." The application is projected to optimize library service functionality and empower students to browse bibliographic data and execute borrowing transactions autonomously via smartphones. The system development strategy implemented is the prototype method, which facilitates adaptive and gradual design evolution through continuous evaluation cycles based on direct user feedback in the field. Primary data collection was conducted through participatory observation and in-depth interviews with library management, while secondary data were obtained through credible literature reviews. System construction utilizes an object-oriented paradigm, comprehensively visualized through use case, activity, and class diagrams. The research findings confirm that the integration of the "i-Pustaka" application provides seamless service access, transcending geographical boundaries and campus operational time constraints. This platform is empirically proven to expedite the book collection search duration and enhance the accuracy of administrative data management compared to previous manual systems. In conclusion, the development of i-Pustaka serves as a strategic instrument that not only offers practical solutions for circulation constraints but also significantly contributes to realizing the vision of modern academic service digitalization within the Universitas PGRI Silampari environment.

Abstract

Advancements in Internet of Things (IoT) technology enable automated, real-time environmental monitoring. Room temperature is a critical environmental parameter to monitor, as it affects both comfort and the performance of devices within the space. This study aims to design an Arduino- and DHT-sensor-based room temperature monitoring system connected to a web dashboard. The research employs a prototyping methodology, encompassing design, prototype construction, testing, and system evaluation. A DHT sensor detects room temperature; the data is then processed by an Arduino and transmitted to a web-based system for display on a dashboard, allowing for real-time monitoring. The study resulted in a system capable of accurately presenting room temperature information that is easily accessible via a web dashboard. This system optimizes the room temperature monitoring process, saves time, and enables monitoring without the need for physical presence at the location.

Abstract

Pengetahuan tentang tanaman herbal telah diturunkan secara turun-temurun sehingga menjadi budaya pengobatan di Indonesia. Pada sebagian besar tumbuhan di Indonesia mengandung senyawa aktif dengan potensi besar sebagai agen antifertilitas untuk mencegah implantasi sehingga kehamilan tidak terjadi, serta dapat mengurangi kesuburan sistem reproduksi wanita. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengkaji berbagai manfaat tumbuhan, serta jenis-jenis tumbuhan obat sebagai antifertilitas alami. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah eksplorasi dengan teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan juga dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ditemukan 20 jenis tumbuhan yang berpotensi sebagai antifertilitas alami. Data yang telah diperoleh bagian yang paling banyak digunakan sebagai antifertilitas alami oleh masyarakat Desa Guru Agung yaitu daun(60,87%), sedangkan bagian lain yang digunakan adalah rimpang(17,39%), buah(8,70%), bunga(4,35%), batang(4,35%), dan akar(4,35%). Selain itu, hasil dari penelitian ini dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan masyarakat tentang manfaat tumbuhan herbal dalam kesehatan reproduksi, sehingga dapat meningkatkan penggunaan tumbuhan herbal sebagai alternatif.

Abstract

Etnobotani merupakan ilmu yang mempelajari tumbuhan dan interaksi antara manusia dan sumber daya tumbuhan yang bisa digunakan oleh manusia. Masyarakat di Kabupaten Musi Rawas Utara (MURATARA) tepatnya di Desa Muara Batang Empu adalah suku Melayu yang memanfaatkan tumbuhan beracun sebagai obat tradisional, dan ada juga yang memanfaatkan tumbuhan beracun sebagai bahan pangan setelah melalui proses pengolahan khusus. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui jenis-jenis tanaman beracun yang digunakan sebagai obat dan bahan pangan. Pengambilan data dilakukan dengan terjun langsung ke lapangan dan wawancara dengan masyarakat. Hasil dari penelitian ditemukan sebanyak 20 spesies tumbuhan beracun, yaitu: jarak pagar, kecubung, gadung, bintaro, upas, mengkudu hutan, tuba, saga rambat, oleander, keladi, kecubung gunung, singkong pasti, jarak kepyar, tembel ikan, bidari, pakis haji, andong merah, pong-pong, mahkota dewa, dan talas liar. Bagian-bagian tumbuhan yang digunakan sebagai racun yaitu berupa kulit batang, daun, biji, getah, buah, dan umbi yang diolah secara tradisional dengan cara ditumbuk, dikeringkan, direbus, diiris tipis, atau langsung pada bagian yang masih segar dipakai untuk berburu dan membunuh serangga dan ikan.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement in physics learning outcomes among Grade X students at SMA Negeri Sukamenang following the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model. The study employed a quantitative approach using an experimental method. The sample consisted of 34 students from class X.2 at SMA Negeri Sukamenang, selected via simple random sampling. Data were collected using a 15-item multiple-choice learning achievement test administered as both a pre-test and a post-test. The obtained data were analyzed using a t-test at a significance level of 0.05 to test the research hypothesis. The results indicate that the students' average learning outcome score increased from 69.76 in the pre-test to 81.74 in the post-test, with a learning mastery rate of 88.24%. Hypothesis testing results showed that the calculated t-value exceeded the t-table value; thus, the null hypothesis (H₀) was rejected and the alternative hypothesis (Hₐ) was accepted. Consequently, the implementation of the Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) model is proven to have a significant effect on improving the physics learning outcomes of Grade X students at SMA Negeri Sukamenang.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of implementing the Guided Inquiry learning model on improving collaboration skills and science learning outcomes among students at SMP Negeri Terawas. The study was motivated by students' low collaboration skills—evidenced by suboptimal abilities in cooperation, communication, responsibility, flexibility, and reaching consensus during group work—as well as low science learning outcomes. A quantitative approach was employed using a pre-experimental design, specifically the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research subjects consisted of 30 seventh-grade students selected via a saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using collaboration skill observation sheets and learning outcome tests, then analyzed using descriptive statistics and the N-Gain test. The results indicate that the average collaboration skill score increased from 45.86 to 72.96, with an N-Gain value of 0.588, falling into the medium category. Additionally, the average learning outcome score rose from 20.33 in the pretest to 78.50 in the posttest. These findings demonstrate that the Guided Inquiry learning model is effective in enhancing collaboration skills and science learning outcomes through inquiry, discussion, and problem-solving activities that foster active student engagement within a student-centered learning environment.

Abstract

This study aims to develop valid and effective guided inquiry-based worksheets to improve junior high school students’ science process skills. This is a research and development (R&D) study using the ADDIE model, which consists of the analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The research subjects were 38 students at MTs Negeri 1 Lubuklinggau. The research instruments used included validation forms for subject matter experts, media experts, and language experts, as well as an observation sheet for students’ science process skills. The results showed that the guided inquiry-based worksheets received a subject matter expert validation score of 43, a media expert validation score of 48, and a language expert validation score of 69—all falling into the “very good” category—and were therefore deemed valid and suitable for use in instruction. Furthermore, the use of guided inquiry-based worksheets was able to improve students’ science process skills in the indicators of observing, classifying, predicting, measuring, drawing conclusions, and communicating, with an average N-Gain score of 0.57, which falls into the moderate category. Thus, guided inquiry-based worksheets are effective for improving the science process skills of students at MTs Negeri 1 in Lubuklinggau.
