Abstract

Physics instruction requires teaching materials that can help students understand the subject matter actively and contextually. One approach that can be taken is to develop student worksheets (LKPD) based on Case-Based Learning (CBL). This study aims to develop physics student worksheets based on Case-Based Learning that are suitable for use as teaching materials in physics instruction. This study is a research and development (Research and Development) project using the 4D development model according to Siahaan (2025), which includes the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. This study was limited to the develop stage. The feasibility of the product was assessed by one subject matter expert, one media expert, and one language expert using a validation sheet. The results showed that the developed worksheets received a validation percentage of 93.3% from the subject matter expert, 87.2% from the media expert, and 89.3% from the language expert, all of which fell into the “highly valid” category. These results indicate that the physics worksheets based on Case-Based Learning have met the feasibility criteria as instructional materials. Thus, the developed worksheets can be used as an alternative instructional resource in physics education.

Abstract

This study aims to (1) determine the feasibility of discovery learning-based physics worksheets on vibration, waves, and light materials, (2) determine the improvement in student learning outcomes, and (3) determine the improvement in scientific attitudes of eighth-grade students of Muhammadiyah Jajaran Baru II Middle School. This study uses the Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE model. The subjects of the study were eighth-grade students of Muhammadiyah Jajaran Baru II Middle School. Data were collected through validation sheets, pretest-posttest questions, and scientific attitude questionnaires, then analyzed using product validation analysis, N-Gain, and percentage. The results showed that the worksheet obtained a validation score of 44 (Very Good) from material experts, 32 (Good) from media experts, and 35 (Very Good) from language experts. The average learning outcomes increased from 40.00 to 66.75 with an N-Gain value of 0.445 (moderate category). Students' scientific attitudes also increased at each meeting, from 43.45% to 57.79%, and reached 81.58%. Thus, the developed discovery learning-based physics LKPD is suitable for use and effective in improving students' learning outcomes and scientific attitudes.

Abstract

This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the Discovery Learning model in improving students' physics learning outcomes on the topic of Work and Energy at SMA Negeri 4 Lubuklinggau. The research employed a quantitative approach using a pre-experimental method with a One-Group Pretest–Posttest Design. The sample consisted of 36 eleventh-grade students selected through a simple random sampling technique. The research instrument was a 17-item multiple-choice achievement test that had met the requirements of validity, reliability, item difficulty, and discrimination index. Data were analyzed using both descriptive and inferential statistics, including the normality test and t-test. The findings revealed that the mean pretest score of 57.08 increased to 76.31 on the posttest. A total of 30 students (83.33%) achieved the minimum learning mastery criterion (≥70), while 6 students (16.67%) did not meet the criterion. The hypothesis testing indicated that the calculated t-value (t = 3.525) was higher than the critical t-value (t = 1.689) at the 5% significance level (α = 0.05), leading to the acceptance of the research hypothesis. These findings demonstrate that the Discovery Learning model is effective in improving students' physics learning outcomes on the topic of Work and Energy. Furthermore, the model encourages students' active participation in discovering concepts independently, resulting in a more meaningful and student-centered learning process.

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the improvement of students' science process skills through the use of a Guided Inquiry-based physics module on the topic of Light and Optical Instruments. The research employed a quasi-experimental method with a One-Group Pre-test Post-test Design. The participants consisted of 30 students from Class VIII.1 of SMP Negeri 14 Lubuklinggau. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test on science process skills and analyzed using descriptive statistics, percentages, and Normalized Gain (N-Gain). The results showed that the students' average score increased from 29.33 in the pre-test to 75.00 in the post-test, with an N-Gain score of 0.65, which is classified as a moderate improvement. In addition, all indicators of science process skills showed improvement after the learning process. These findings indicate that the Guided Inquiry-based physics module is effective in improving students' science process skills and can be used as an alternative teaching material in physics learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the improvement in communication skills among 7th-grade students at SMP Negeri 14 Lubuklinggau through the implementation of the Guided Inquiry learning model within the topic of Motion and Force. A quantitative research method was employed, utilizing a pre-experimental design—specifically, the One-Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The research subjects consisted of 30 students from class VII.1, selected via simple random sampling from a total population of 156 7th-grade students. Data on communication skills were collected using an observation sheet covering five indicators: listening and showing respect, self-confidence, effectively conveying ideas, taking responsibility for ideas, and communicating effectively. Data analysis was conducted using descriptive percentage analysis. The results indicate a gradual improvement in students' communication skills: the average score rose from 63.33% in the first meeting to 83.33% in the second, reaching 85.00% in the third, ultimately placing the students in the "good" qualification category. These findings demonstrate that the Guided Inquiry learning model is effective for fostering and enhancing students' communication skills in Physics-based Science learning.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the Relating, Experiencing, Applying, Cooperating, and Transferring (REACT) learning model in improving science learning outcomes of eighth-grade students at MTs Negeri 1 Lubuklinggau. Low learning outcomes are often caused by the learning process that does not connect the material to real-life contexts and the lack of active student involvement. The REACT model presents a contextual learning solution that structures student understanding through five main stages. The research method used was true experimental with a pretest-posttest control group design. The research population included all eighth-grade students of MTs Negeri 1 Lubuklinggau in the 2025/2026 academic year, totaling 288 students, with samples drawn using simple random sampling consisting of two classes: the experimental class (VIII.3) which implemented the REACT model and the control class which implemented the conventional model. The data collection instrument used a learning outcome test in the form of validated essay questions. Data analysis was carried out using a t-test (paired sample t-test). The results showed that there was a significant increase in learning outcomes in the experimental class that implemented the REACT model compared to the control class. The average post-test score of the experimental class was 49.34, significantly higher than the control class at 44.11. Furthermore, the paired sample t-test showed a significance value (2-tailed) of 0.000 < 0.05. Thus, it can be concluded that the REACT learning model is effective in improving student learning outcomes on the material of Earth structure and its development.

Abstract

learning to enable students to understand scientific concepts, explain scientific phenomena, and apply their knowledge to solve real-life problems. However, physics instruction in schools is still dominated by teaching materials that emphasize concept delivery, limiting students' opportunities to develop scientific literacy. This study aimed to develop a Problem Based Learning (PBL)-based module on the Nature of Physics as scientific literacy-oriented teaching material for tenth-grade senior high school students. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the Four-D (4D) development model, which consists of the define, design, develop, and disseminate stages. The research instruments included expert validation sheets for material, media, and language, as well as a scientific literacy test. The module was designed by integrating the syntax of Problem Based Learning into each learning activity to provide students with meaningful learning experiences through contextual problem solving. The developed module is expected to serve as valid, practical, and effective teaching material to support physics learning and facilitate the development of students' scientific literacy.

Abstract

Banyaknya jumlah perusahaan ekspedisi saat ini konsumen kesulitan mencari jasa ekspedisi yang tepat. Kesalahan dalam memilih jasa ekspedisi dapat menyebabkan kerugian secara finansial dan waktu. Dengan metode sistem pengambilan keputusan Weight Product (WP) dapat membantu konsumen dalam proses memilih jasa ekspediisi. Pemilihan kriteria berdasarkan keterjangkauan harga pengiriman, kecepatan pengiriman, jangkauan wilayah pengiriman, keamanan barang, kualitas layanan, ketepatan waktu pengiriman, kelengkapan fitur dan layanan tambahan. Hasil implementasi WP merekomendasikan JNE sebagai jasa ekspedisi terbaik dengan nilai 0.2601. Ini menunjukkan bahwa metode WP dapat mengurangi subjektifitas konsumen dalam memilih jasa ekspedisi.

Abstract

Banyaknya tempat les anak yang ada di kota Lubuklinggau menyebabkan orang tua kesulitan untuk menentukan tempat terbaik untuk pendidikan nonformal bagi anaknya. Seringkali keputusan orang tua dilakukan secara subjektif dan tanpa perhitungan. Dalam penelitian ini mencoba menjawab permasalahan yang dihadapi orang tua dengan pendekatan matematis menggunakan metode Simple Addtitive Weighting (SAW) berdasarkan kriteria biaya, kualitas, fasilitas, jarak, dan reputasi. Metode ini menghasilkan nilai preferensi pada setiap alternatif tempat les. Hasil perhitungan menunjukkan Eduza Les Privat Lubuklinggau mendapatkan nilai tertinggi sebesar 0.840, Brain Academy Ruang Guru sebesar 0.8225, Ganesha Operation sebesar 0.820, Love Kids Learning Sebesar 760, dan Sempoa SIP sebesar 0.7575. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut menunjukkan metode ini mengurangi subjektifitas dalam pemilihan tiap alternatif.

Abstract

The development of information technology in the health sector encourages the use of digital medical record systems to improve efficiency in patient data management. However, the digitization of medical data also poses risks to the security and confidentiality of sensitive patient information, such as potential data leaks, misuse, and access by unauthorized parties. Therefore, this study discusses the application of the Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) cryptographic algorithm as a solution to improve patient data security in the digital medical record system at the Surulangun Community Health Center. This study aims to apply the AES algorithm in the process of securing patient data so that data stored in the system remains confidential. The research method used is an implementation method by applying the AES algorithm to the data encryption and decryption process in the digital medical record system so that data stored in the database is in encrypted form. The results of the study indicate that the application of the AES algorithm can improve patient data security by encrypting data before being stored in the database and decrypting it again when accessed by authorized users. With this mechanism, patient data is better protected from potential data theft and manipulation. Based on the results of this study, it can be concluded that the application of AES cryptography in the digital medical record system at the Surulangun Community Health Center is effective in increasing security and maintaining the confidentiality of patient data, thereby supporting safer and more reliable health information management.
