Abstract

This study aims to examine the relationship between the Spiritual Emotional Freedom Technique (SEFT) and students’ mental health within the framework of harmonizing spirituality and Islamic education. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach through field studies, observations, interviews, and documentation as data collection techniques. The findings indicate that the implementation of SEFT assists students in managing emotional stress, enhancing inner peace, and cultivating religious attitudes that positively impact their mental well-being. The integration of SEFT with Islamic educational values such as patience, sincerity, and reliance on God (tawakkul) has been shown to strengthen students’ psychological resilience in facing life challenges. Therefore, SEFT emerges as a strategic alternative in efforts to improve spiritual-based mental health in Islamic educational settings.

Abstract

Students inevitably face various academic challenges throughout their university journey. These challenges highlight the crucial role of academic resilience, which enables students to effectively channel their motivation, cognitive abilities, and actions towards achieving their academic goals. This research investigates how religiosity and self-efficacy positively contribute to students' academic resilience. Using a quantitative explanatory approach, data was collected from 196 students at STAI Syubbanul Wathon Magelang via questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression. The findings indicate that religiosity significantly impacts academic resilience (p<0.001), as evidenced by a significance value of 0.000 (below 0.05). Similarly, self-efficacy also significantly influences academic resilience (p<0.001), with a significance value of 0.000 (below 0.05). Collectively, both religiosity and self-efficacy are confirmed to jointly enhance students' academic resilience.

Abstract

This study examines the Islamic character values embodied in the story of Prophet Solomon and the transfer of Queen Bilqis' throne, as narrated in Surah An-Naml, verses 38–40. The focus is to explore the Qur’anic educational messages within the story and to analyze their relevance to character development in contemporary Islamic education. This research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing a literature review and tafsir (exegesis) analysis methods. The primary sources include the Qur’an and both classical and contemporary tafsir books that discuss the story in depth. The findings reveal that the story of Prophet Solomon encompasses various Islamic character values, including monotheism (tawhid), knowledge, gratitude, just leadership, and a courteous and wise approach to da'wah (Islamic preaching). These values are reflected in the personality of Prophet Solomon, who possessed high intellectual and spiritual aptitude, as well as in the figure of the servant who was able to transfer the throne by Allah’s permission through the knowledge he had. These findings affirm that the story of Prophet Solomon is relevant as a source of learning for the development of a Qur’an-based character education curriculum. These values have the potential to instill a holistic Islamic character, not only cognitively but also affectively and psychomotorically. In the context of globalization and moral degradation among the younger generation, this story can serve as an inspiring and applicable teaching material in Islamic education. This study offers both theoretical and practical contributions to the development of a more value-oriented Islamic education curriculum.

Abstract

Elementary school is an important foundation in the development of children in Indonesia, especially for those aged 7 to 12 years. During this golden age, elementary school is not only a place where children receive formal education but also a place that shapes character and instills spiritual values that are highly needed in today’s era. One of the efforts undertaken is through the tahfidz program, which serves as a bridge between academic education and character education. Through this program, students are not only taught to memorize verses of the Al-Qur’an but also to understand the meaning and values contained within. However, it must be acknowledged that each student has different memorization abilities, so it is not uncommon for boredom to arise during the learning process. Therefore, this study was conducted to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of the extracurricular tahfidz program. This study uses the CIPP evaluation model (Context, Input, Process, Product), which includes evaluation of the context, input, process, and results of the program. The evaluation results show that the extracurricular tahfidz program at SD Al Azhar is able to improve students' faith, piety, and spiritual quality. This success is supported by a relevant curriculum, adequate facilities and infrastructure, as well as competent teaching staff. Overall, the implementation of this program has been in line with the curriculum and is able to meet the expected educational goals.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the problematic mastery of Arabic vocabulary of fourth grade students at MI Salafiyah Kranggan. The research method used is descriptive qualitative with samples of fourth grade Arabic teachers and fourth grade students, while the data is collected using unstructured interview techniques, documentation and non-participant observation. The results showed; 1) the problematic mastery of students' Arabic vocabulary was caused by several factors. Among them are factors originating from teachers who have not made maximum innovation in learning media, both the use of methods and learning media, besides that mastery of material that has not been maximized due to low reading references and pedagogical competence. Factors originating from students are evidenced by the low interest and motivation to learn Arabic due to the low reading material and teaching creativity in the classroom. Some other factors come from the lack of maximization of media facilities in madrasah and the family environment; 2) solutions that have been carried out by madrasah include; increasing Arabic reading references, innovating interesting learning processes, developing digital competencies of educators, increasing references to textbooks that are interesting to educators, upgrading them selves through several trainings for educators, and the regulation of Arabic teacher recruitment according to academic qualifications..

Abstract

Fiqh learning has characteristics that require in-depth understanding and application skills to solve various problems in everyday life. This study aims to analyze the implementation of problem solving strategies and methods in fiqh learning at MA Roudlotul Jannah. The focus of the study includes planning, implementation, evaluation, and supporting and inhibiting factors in the implementation of problem solving methods. The study used a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of problem solving strategies in fiqh learning at MA Roudlotul Jannah is carried out through the following stages: (1) identification of problems relevant to students' lives, (2) analysis of problems based on a fiqh perspective, (3) submission of alternative solutions by referring to sources of Islamic law, (4) evaluation and selection of solutions based on the rules of ushul fiqh, and (5) implementation and reflection. This strategy has been proven to improve students' critical thinking skills, conceptual understanding, and application skills in the field of fiqh. The main challenges in implementation include time constraints, diversity in student ability levels, and the need for continuous teacher professional development. The conclusion of the study confirms that the problem solving method is very relevant and effective for contemporary fiqh learning, with the note that there needs to be adaptation that is appropriate to the madrasah context and student characteristics.
