Abstract

This study examines the implementation of Ke-NU-an learning based on moral values at MTs NU 02 Gringsing, Batang Regency, as a model of character education grounded in the values of Ahlussunnah wal Jama’ah (Aswaja). The background of this research is the growing moral crisis among students, which necessitates educational approaches that emphasize value internalization and character formation. Employing a qualitative descriptive approach, this field research collected data through interviews, participant observation, and documentation involving teachers, students, and school administrators. The findings reveal that Ke-NU-an learning has been systematically integrated into both instructional and non-instructional activities, including religious habituation programs, extracurricular activities, and daily school culture. The implementation of Aswaja values such as moderation, tolerance, balance, and responsibility contributes significantly to the development of students’ religious character, discipline, social awareness, and appreciation of local culture. Furthermore, the role of teachers as moral role models and the institutional support provided by the school strengthen the effectiveness of character education. This study concludes that Ke-NU-an learning grounded in moral values functions not only as religious instruction but also as a strategic framework for character education in Islamic secondary schools under the auspices of Nahdlatul Ulama.

Abstract

The phenomenon of the Open Unemployment Rate (OUR) data released at the national, provincial, and district levels remains a significant concern. One contributing factor is the low quality of the workforce required by the Business and Industrial World (DUDIKA). Therefore, there is a pressing need for Job Training Institutions (LPK) capable of producing high-quality graduates. The achievement of student quality in training institutions is largely determined by the institution's mastery of learning management. The purpose of this study is to describe and analyze learning management in improving the quality of graduates at LPK CTI Ciamis District and LPK CBI Kawali District, which can contribute to reducing the unemployment rate in Ciamis Regency. This study utilizes a descriptive qualitative research method. Data collection was conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis process employs an interactive model analysis consisting of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The framework relies on the management principles of Planning, Organizing, Actuating, and Controlling. The results indicate that: (1) Learning management at LPK CTI Ciamis District is functioning well. This is evidenced by learning plans based on the SKKNI Curriculum, Lesson Plans/Syllabi, and Session Plans (RPP); organized structures based on established Standard Operating Procedures (SOP); conducive learning implementation aligned with initial planning; and continuous supervision and evaluation until students are declared competent. (2) The graduate quality at LPK CTI Ciamis District has increased year by year, as seen from the number of high-achieving graduates successfully entering DUDIKA. In conclusion, efforts to produce quality graduates have been successful due to the implementation of excellent learning management.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contribution of differentiated instruction strategies in enhancing the critical thinking skills of elementary school students. Utilizing a qualitative approach with an intrinsic case study design, the research was conducted at SDN Jatinagara and SDN Bojongkadu, Cianjur Regency. The primary focus of the study encompasses three components of differentiated instruction: content, process, and product/assessment. Data collection techniques involved participatory observation, semi-structured interviews with teachers and students, and documentation of student assignments and critical thinking assessment rubrics. The results indicate that learning content tailored to students' readiness and interests increases engagement and explorative abilities. A learning process based on discussions and open-ended tasks encourages students to analyze, construct arguments, and evaluate alternative solutions. Assessments utilizing critical thinking rubrics and adaptive formats allow for a fair and valid evaluation of the thinking abilities of students from diverse backgrounds. Data triangulation strengthens the validity of the findings, and the calibration process among teachers demonstrates high reliability in applying the instruments. This study suggests strengthening teacher training and developing critical thinking evaluation systems in elementary schools based on differentiated instruction.

Abstract

This study aims to explore how the Strengthening the Pancasila Student Profile Project (P5) is implemented and the extent of its influence on character development among elementary school students. The research focused on two schools in Bandung Regency, namely SDN Cingcin 1 Soreang and SDN Majalaya 05, which have adopted the P5 project under the framework of the Merdeka Curriculum. A qualitative descriptive approach was employed, with data collected through observations, interviews, document analysis, and questionnaires. The participants of this study included teachers, students, and school principals. The findings revealed that the implementation of the P5 project at both schools consisted of three main stages: project planning based on local themes, the execution of collaborative activities, and reflective evaluation. These project activities made significant contributions to fostering the six-character dimensions of the Pancasila Student Profile, particularly in cultivating independence, collaboration, tolerance, and environmental awareness. Nevertheless, several obstacles were identified, such as teachers’ limited understanding of the P5 concept and insufficient supporting facilities for project implementation. Overall, the P5 project has proven to be an effective approach for instilling character values in elementary school students. Therefore, this study recommends improving teachers’ competencies and strengthening collaboration between schools and communities to optimize the implementation of the P5 project.

Abstract

The challenges posed by globalization and the high unemployment rate in Indonesia, particularly in West Java, necessitate that vocational high school (SMK) graduates are not only prepared to enter the workforce but also equipped with an entrepreneurial mindset. Consequently, the effective management of entrepreneurship learning is imperative to enhance the quality of graduates. This research is anchored in George R. Terry's management theory, which encompasses the functions of planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling, alongside educational quality theories that emphasize the necessity of competitive, creative, and independent educational outcomes. This study employs a qualitative approach utilizing a case study design at SMK Negeri 1 Cibadak Sukabumi. Data collection techniques included participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis. The data were analyzed through data reduction, data display, and interactive conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that entrepreneurial learning management at SMK Negeri 1 Cibadak involves: strategic planning of an entrepreneurship-based vision, mission, and programs; organizing through a work structure conducive to innovation; implementing project-based learning and practical business applications; and conducting continuous evaluations of student competencies. Identified obstacles include resource limitations and resistance to change, which are progressively mitigated through teacher competency training and the reinforcement of an entrepreneurial culture. When effectively planned, organized, implemented, and evaluated, entrepreneurship learning management significantly improves the quality of SMK graduates, rendering them both job-ready and entrepreneurial. Strategies focusing on strengthening human resource competencies and fostering collaborations with the business and industrial sectors are critical to successful implementation.

Abstract

Career development represents a critical paradigm in conceptualizing the future trajectories of children with special needs. Consequently, these individuals require targeted, equitable, and specialized educational services to actualize their latent potential. Career development programs serve as a concrete pedagogical manifestation designed to equip students with pragmatic abilities, vocational competencies, and psychosocial readiness. This research aims to describe, analyze, and discover the specific models of career development program implementation for children with special needs at SLB BC YPLAB Cibaduyut and SLB BC YPLAB Banjaran. Anchored in a qualitative constructivist paradigm utilizing a case study approach, the research involved vocational educators, Special Job Exchange (Bursa Kerja Khusus/BKK) coordinators, and students with hearing impairments as primary respondents. Data were systematically gathered through participant observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation matrices. The findings reveal that the career program is actualized through four main dimensions: (1) The provision of structured services encompassing orientation, vocational information, and strategic placement; (2) The deployment of adaptive pedagogical methods including direct demonstration, step-by-step instruction, project-based assignments, and continuous training; (3) The management of complex cognitive and communicative barriers through individualized mentoring; and (4) The facilitation of real-world exposure through internships and parental collaboration. Ultimately, the successful implementation of career programs for children with special needs necessitates a holistic synthesis of environmental conditioning, familial support systems, specialized learning experiences, and adaptive coping mechanisms for vocational tasks

Abstract

Physical Education, Sport, and Health (PJOK) plays a fundamental role in realizing the comprehensive development of students, encompassing physical, mental, social, and emotional domains. To enhance the quality of PJOK education, the PJOK Teacher Professional Development Program (PKG) was initiated as a strategic intervention to strengthen teacher competence, with a primary focus on pedagogical skills. This research comprehensively analyzes the dissemination management of the PJOK PKG Program and evaluates its impact on improving the pedagogical competence of PJOK teachers within the Bandung Regency and the Regional Branch Office of Education (KCD) Region VII West Java. Utilizing a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct participant observation, and rigorous document analysis involving PJOK teachers, school supervisors, and educational bureaucrats. The findings reveal that the dissemination management operates through four distinct phases: (1) highly structured and data-driven planning, (2) collaborative organization emphasizing distributed leadership, (3) participatory implementation utilizing blended learning and localized teacher working groups (KKG), and (4) continuous monitoring that directly translates into measurable pedagogical enhancements. The program significantly improved teachers' conceptual understanding of student-centered learning, their capacity to design innovative lessons, and their utilization of authentic assessments. Ultimately, effective dissemination management of the PKG PJOK serves as a vital catalyst for sustainable professional development, directly elevating the quality of physical education.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the critical role of the principal as an educational leader in cultivating professional and highly competent teachers amidst complex educational challenges, particularly within private early childhood institutions. The purpose of this study is to determine, describe, and deeply analyze how the principal's managerial competence drives the improvement of teacher performance in Early Childhood Education (PAUD). The philosophical foundation of this study is rooted in humanistic educational thinking, while the theoretical framework utilizes George R. Terry’s managerial competence model. This study employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, grounded in a constructivist paradigm. Data collection utilized methodological triangulation through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation analysis. Data were systematically sourced from foundations, committees, principals, teachers, and school archives across two private institutions: TK Al-Hikmah and RA Nuururrohmaan. The findings reveal that the principal's managerial functions—planning, organizing, actuating, and evaluating—have been executed with maximum effort. However, implementation faces systemic constraints, including limited human resources, insufficient structural support, resistance to organizational change, and uneven managerial skill sets. Concurrently, teachers face challenges such as role ambiguity regarding delegated tasks and a lack of institutionalized workshops for continuous professional development. Despite these barriers, the principals have initiated strategic solutions, including optimizing infrastructure and actively involving foundations, school committees, parents, and the broader community in the educational process. The study concludes that the effective, collaborative, and systematic managerial competence of the principal exerts a highly significant influence on the continuous improvement of teacher performance.
