Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to design a SIPERAN (Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Data Collection System) application based on the AppSheet platform as a solution to the problem of manual recording of maintenance and repair of ARFF operational vehicle at Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Palembang Airport. The manual system currently used causes various obstacles, such as data irregularities, loss of vehicle maintenance and repair history, service delays, reporting difficulties, and lack of coordination between officers which impacts vehicle operational readiness.This research used a level 1 Research and Development (R&D) approach, with stages including needs analysis through unstructured interviews, initial product design, and design validation. Functionality testing was conducted using black box testing, while design validation was obtained through interviews with ARFF personnel to evaluate the application’s interface and usability.The research results indicate that the SIPERAN application design is expected to function well, be easy to use, intuitive, and informative. The designed features are considered appropriate to the operational needs of the ARFF Department Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II Palembang Airport, and are expected to improve the regularity and accuracy of vehicle maintenance data. Although still in the intial design stage, this application has the potential to be implemented more widely to support a digital-based operational management system. Abstract

Abstract. This research aims to design and develop a barcode-based data digitization system to support equipment at the Aviation Accident Rescue and Firefighting Unit (PKP-PK) at Radin Inten II Airport in Lampung. The main problem identified is the manual inventory process, which still relies on paper-based media and poses risks of data inconsistency, human error, and delays in tracking equipment history. Theoretical and literature reviews emphasize the use of barcode technology and Research and Development (R&D) methods as a framework for developing an inventory information system. Data collection was conducted through direct observation and literature review for needs analysis and product design validation. The Data Peralatan Penunjang (DAPEN) website system was tested using a black box testing approach to ensure the functionality of input, search, editing, and data security for equipment. The research results indicate that the implementation of this system significantly improves recording efficiency, data accuracy, as well as ease of access and real-time tracking of equipment history at the PKP-PK Unit. Validation by media and materials experts indicated the system's suitability with an average score of 88%. In conclusion, the system successfully provides a digital inventory alternative that supports transparency, security, and optimal asset management in the airport environment. Further development is recommended to add automatic reporting and maintenance notification features..

Abstract

This study aims to identify the primary causes of damage to aluminium suits used by Aircraft Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) personnel at Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II International Airport in Palembang. Aluminium suits serve as essential personal protective equipment designed to safeguard personnel from extreme radiant heat exposure during aircraft fire emergencies. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach through direct observation of the aluminium suit’s physical condition, interviews with ARFF operational staff, and technical documentation review. NFPA 1851 was used as the primary international standard for assessing maintenance and storage practices. The findings indicate that peeling and degradation of the suit’s protective layer result from several factors, including use beyond the recommended 10-year service life, improper storage methods such as folding and stacking in exposed areas, and cleaning procedures that involve nonstandard detergents and unregulated water temperatures. The lack of proper documentation and routine inspections further contributes to the accelerated material breakdown. The study recommends implementing a comprehensive maintenance management system aligned with international standards, involving scheduled replacements, vertical storage in UV-free ventilated rooms, complete documentation of usage history, and technical training for personnel. Effective implementation of this system is critical to ensure personnel safety, prolong PPE durability, and enhance the operational readiness of ARFF units in handling diverse aviation emergencies reliably and consistently.

Abstract

Abstract. The low learning motivation of students in Informatics subjects at grade X of MA Raudhatut Tholibin is evident from the lack of active participation, interest in assignments, and difficulty in understanding abstract material. Learning that is still dominated by conventional methods is considered less engaging, thus requiring innovation through the use of interactive technology. One alternative is the use of Augmented Reality (AR)-based learning media, which can present three-dimensional virtual objects to clarify concepts and capture students’ attention. This study aims to determine the effect of AR media implementation on students’ learning motivation. The method used was quantitative with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design, involving 15 students. Data were collected through a motivation questionnaire administered before and after the use of AR media developed with the Assemblr EDU application. The results showed that the average motivation score increased from 32.2 to 53.2, with a difference of 21 points. These findings indicate that AR media is effective in enhancing student engagement, interest, and understanding of Informatics material interactively.

Abstract

Abstract. Air transportation has an important role in supporting a country’s economy by maintaining high standards of service and safety. The unit Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting (ARFF) at Adi Soemarmo Boyolali Airport has a crucial task in maintaining flight safety. This research aim to optimize watchroom operational performance through website-based daily logbook digitization, thereby improving the efficiency of recording and reporting activities. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE approach. The results showed that the designed digital system is very feasible to use and is able to increase the speed, accuracy, and security of ARFF watchroom operational data. Material and IT expert validation provided recommendations for further feature development to support a more optimal work safety system. The implementation of this digitalization is expected to be able to support airport management in improving operational safety..

Abstract

Abstract. Two-phase flow has very complex phenomena compared to single-phase flow, including interactions between phases, surface deformation and movement between fluids, changes in flow patterns, and so on. In addition to these phenomena, one of the phenomena that often appears in two-phase flow is pressure drop. This study aims to determine the characteristics of pressure drop and two-phase flow patterns in elbow mitter with an angle of 60º. The test section is made of acrylic pipe with an inner diameter of 36 mm and connected with PVC pipe from horizontal to vertical positions. Testing is carried out by varying the superficial velocity of water from 0.022 m/s - 0.034 m/s and variations in air volumetric quality (β) from 0.80 - 0.92. With water - air as the working fluid. The flow pattern is visualized with a cellphone camera and the pressure drop is measured with a U-tube manometer. The results of this study show that the lowest pressure drop value is at Usl 0.032m/s and β 0.92 with a pressure drop value of 402.20 N/m, and the highest pressure drop value is at Usl 0.028m/s and β 0.80 with a value of 1020.20 N/m with an average calculation value of 667.70 N/m, and the most dominant flow patterns are dispersed bubble flow, plug flow, slug flow, and churn flow.

Abstract

This study aims to design a web-based computerized accounting system for sales at Caffe Ping Warmindo Es Krim. The current sales system still uses manual recording, which is prone to errors, data manipulation, and inefficiency in managing data. The methods used in this research include observation, interviews, and literature studies. The result of this study is the design of a sales information system using PHP programming language and MySQL database. This system improves the effectiveness and efficiency of recording transactions, enhances data security, and ensures the validity of the information. The designed database is expected to serve as the foundation for future development of the sales information system

Abstract

Abstract. This study aims to determine the effect of powder coating spraying distance on the thickness of the powder coating layer, hardness and corrosion rate on SS400 material. Thickness measurement using a Coating Thickness Gauge tool to determine the thickness of the powder coating spraying results, while hardness testing is carried out using the Vickers hardness method with an indenter load of 1.98 N on the material without a powder coating layer and 0.98 N on the material with a powder coating layer, and to accelerate the corrosion rate the material is immersed in a vinegar solution (CH3COOH) for ± 6 days. The results of the study showed that the highest thickness test at a distance of 10 cm was 72.8 μm, and the lowest at a distance of 20 cm spraying powder coating 50.9 μm. The highest hardness value of the material before being coated with powder coating is 152.12 HV, the hardness value of the material with a spraying distance of 10 cm has a material hardness value of 18.34 HV, the hardness value of the material with a spraying distance of 15 cm has a material hardness value of 19.32 HV, the hardness value of the material with a spraying distance of 20 cm has a material hardness value of 19.06 HV. The lowest corrosion rate value is found in the material with a spraying distance of 10 cm with a corrosion rate value of 0.000332 mm/y, and the highest corrosion rate value is found in the material without a powder coating layer, namely with a value of 0.0233 mm/y.

Abstract

Abstract. : This study aims to examine the effectiveness of contextual learning based on animated video in increasing students’ learning interest in informatics subjects. The research was motivated by the low interest in learning among seventh-grade students at MTs Nurul Hikam, indicated by a lack of enthusiasm and active engagement during lessons. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The animated video media was developed using Canva and validated by content and media experts before being implemented in the classroom. The results showed that the use of animated videos in contextual learning created a more engaging learning atmosphere, facilitated better understanding of the material, and increased active student participation. Both teachers and students responded positively to this learning method. The study concludes that contextual learning supported by animated video is effective in enhancing students’ interest in learning. The implication of this research highlights the importance of utilizing contextual digital media to support innovative learning in informatics education at the secondary level.

Abstract

The reliability of aircraft ice protection systems is crucial for flight safety, especially at high altitudes with extreme temperatures. One vital component is the inlet cowl thermal anti-icing pressure switch on the Boeing 737-300, which monitors bleed air pressure and activates the cockpit indicator at 65 ± 3 PSI. At Asia Cargo Airlines, functional checks are still conducted manually using jumper wires, masking tape, and a 28V DC lamp, requiring three technicians, being inefficient, and carrying significant risks. This study aims to design a dedicated bench test device for precise, safe, and standard-compliant inspection of the pressure switch. The research employed a Research and Development (R&D) method combined with the systematic engineering design approach VDI 2221, including clarification, conceptual design, embodiment, and detailed design stages. The developed tool consists of a pressure system (¼ inch hose, ball valve, pressure gauge up to 100 PSI) and an electrical system (3-pin connector, 24V DC supply, indicator lamp). Test results show that the device operates within the specified range of 62–68 PSI without leakage or malfunction. Validation by three expert evaluators rated the device as “highly feasible” with scores above 85%. The tool proved more efficient, safe, and faster, requiring only one technician and reducing test time from 30 to 15 minutes, thereby enhancing safety and maintenance efficiency for the Boeing 737-300.
