Abstract

Poverty remains a challenge in Kupang City and Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, requiring special attention from the government and society, including the church. This study analyzes what roles do churches play through the MDT Ministry in poverty alleviation, what strategies are utilized to implement its service programs, what are the impacts on poverty issues for beneficiaries, and what challenges are encountered in poverty reduction efforts. This study employed data collection techniques: interviews with 12 informants consisting of MDT Ministry administrators, members, and beneficiaries, observation, and documentation. The data were transcribed into Microsoft Word documents and subsequently imported into NVivo 11 for thematic coding. Word frequency analysis was conducted using Word Cloud and Word Frequency Query tools to identify the most frequently occurring words to determine the theme. To analyze each theme, the researchers utilized the Mind Map feature in NVivo 11 to create visual representations, which were then described and interpreted. The findings reveal that the role of the church through MDT Ministry implements five strategic programs: ecumenical solidarity through inter-church collaboration and unity; physical needs fulfillment through congregation needs surveys and provision of essential needs; spiritual needs fulfillment through prayer, worship, and biblical guidance; social welfare services through counseling, medical care, and support for vulnerable groups; and youth leadership development through training and mentorship, similar to the Luke 9:10-17 account of Jesus feeding the 5,000 people. These programs impact inter-denominational harmony that have the same concern for the poverty issue, family welfare, spiritual transformation, and youth unity, although challenges remain. This study contributes valuable insights for church practitioners, academics, and social institutions on effective strategies and challenges in implementing church ministries programs.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) in the 21st century has had a transformative impact on the world of education, particularly in higher education. AI offers great potential for improving the effectiveness and personalisation of learning, but at the same time raises ethical and moral challenges in shaping student character. This study aims to analyse how the integration of AI in the learning process contributes to strengthening the resilient character of students—covering moral, ethical, and professional dimensions—in the midst of the digital transformation era. The method used is a qualitative literature review with a systematic approach, analysing 30 scientific articles from reputable national (SINTA 1–2) and international (Scopus/DOAJ) journals published between 2015 and 2025. The analysis was conducted thematically to identify the benefits, challenges, and pedagogical strategies in the application of AI in higher education. The results of the study revealed four main themes: (1) AI increases student learning autonomy, personalisation, and intrinsic motivation; (2) ethical risks arise in the form of plagiarism, algorithmic bias, and a decline in moral reflection; (3) significant challenges lie in infrastructure gaps, technological literacy, and lecturers' pedagogical readiness; and (4) effective strategies require a humanistic approach and ethical education policies that position teachers as facilitators of values. In conclusion, AI has the potential to strengthen students' moral, ethical, and professional resilience when integrated reflectively and based on human values. These findings have significant implications for the development of higher education policies that strike a balance between technological innovation and character education in the digital age.

Abstract

The development of artificial intelligence (AI) has changed the direction of modern education towards more adaptive, reflective, and learner-centred learning. This study aims to analyse the role of AI in identifying and developing student potential, as well as its contribution to the formation of excellent character in the digital age. This research is a narrative literature review that examines various relevant scientific publications published between 2018 and 2025, sourced from international databases such as Scopus, ERIC, and ScienceDirect, as well as SINTA-indexed national journals. The literature selection process was carried out using thematic criteria that emphasised the suitability of the context of primary, secondary, and higher education in Indonesia. Data analysis was conducted using a thematic-inductive approach to identify patterns of relationships between AI implementation, learning potential development, and moral character formation. The results showed that AI plays a role in facilitating personalised learning, increasing student engagement and motivation, and fostering empathy and responsibility through adaptive feedback and reflective interaction. On the other hand, challenges arise in terms of ethics, data privacy, and the digital divide. This study emphasises that AI implementation must be oriented towards human values so that technology functions as a pedagogical partner in shaping an intelligent and characterful generation.

Abstract

This study examines the Quarter-Life Crisis (QLC) as a psychological phenomenon experienced during the transition to early adulthood, highlighting the significance of intrapersonal capacity as a key factor in transforming vulnerability into growth. Employing a literature review method, the research analyzes recent studies on internal factors such as self-regulation, self-reflection, inner dialogue, and meaningful goal-setting. The findings indicate that intrapersonal capacity functions both as a mediator and a moderator, enabling individuals not only to reduce the negative effects of QLC but also to build psychological resilience and a clearer sense of life direction. This study expands the theoretical perspective of QLC by positioning intrapersonal capacity as a central mechanism, while also offering practical implications for counseling, education, and self-development interventions for young adults.

Abstract

The gypsum board industry in Indonesia faces significant challenges in sustaining firm growth amid market competition and dynamic business environments. This study aims to examine the influence of innovation, dynamic capabilities, and agile leadership on sustainable firm growth, with competitive advantage as a mediating variable and product life cycle as a moderating variable. A mixed methods approach was applied, combining quantitative data from 27 managerial respondents analyzed using mediation and moderation regression via SmartPLS, and qualitative data from in-depth interviews with two informants representing companies in growth and decline phases. The findings reveal that competitive advantage significantly mediates the relationship between strategic factors and sustainable firm growth. However, the product life cycle does not show a significant moderating effect. These results highlight the critical role of strengthening competitive advantage as a core strategy to achieve sustainable growth in Indonesia’s gypsum board industry.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the challenges, propose solutions, and formulate a development strategy model for sharia-compliant hotels in Riau Province. The study is motivated by the growing demand for sharia-based accommodations among Muslim tourists, alongside various challenges faced by sharia-compliant hotels, including issues related to legality, services, and infrastructure. The research employs the Analytic Network Process (ANP) method using Super Decisions software and involves nine expert informants, comprising academics, regulators, and hotel managers, selected through purposive sampling. The findings indicate that the challenges in developing sharia-compliant hotels in Riau Province can be classified into two main categories: internal challenges (e.g., management, human resources, and financial capacity), and external challenges (especially the roles of the National Sharia Council (NSC), the Indonesian Ulema Council (IUC), and government regulations). Consensus among respondents highlights those external challenges, particularly those related to the NSC and IUC, are the most critical, with an agreement level of 75%. Proposed solutions are also categorized as internal and external, with the top priority being solutions to external challenges, specifically those related to the NSC and IUC (96%). The development model identifies seven main strategies, with the highest priority being the establishment of a hotel entrepreneurs' forum (87%), followed by socialization and education programs. This research recommends strengthening the regulatory and educational roles of the NSC and IUC, as well as establishing an entrepreneurs' forum as a platform for synergy among stakeholders. The implementation of these two key strategies is expected to foster an integrated and sustainable ecosystem for the development of sharia-compliant hotels in Riau Province.

Abstract

Working as a teacher in frontier, outermost, and underdeveloped (3T) regions presents psychological and environmental challenges that may affect teachers’ subjective well-being. Grounded in positive psychology, this study hypothesized that self-esteem and social support would be positively related to subjective well-being. Using a quantitative correlational survey design, data were collected from 154 teachers (64.3% female, aged 25–56 years, M = 39.8, SD = 7.6; average teaching experience = 11.4 years) across elementary to high school levels in Amabi Oefeto Timur District, Kupang Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. Instruments were administered offline in schools with institutional permission due to limited internet access. Instruments included the Teaching Satisfaction Scale (TSS), PANAS, Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale, and R-MSPSS. Results indicated significant positive correlations between self-esteem and subjective well-being (r = 0.43, p < .01) and between social support and subjective well-being (r = 0.38, p < .01), with R² = 0.256. Teachers with higher self-esteem and stronger social support reported greater life satisfaction and positive affect, supporting the positive psychology and social buffering models. The findings emphasize the importance of self-esteem and social support enhancement programs for teacher well-being in resource-limited contexts. Ethical approval was obtained, and all participants provided informed consent. Limitations and directions for future research are discussed.

Abstract

Human Resource Analytics (HRA) has emerged as a strategic capability that enables organizations to make data-driven and evidence-based human capital decisions. However, its adoption remains uneven and conceptually fragmented. This study systematically reviews the drivers, barriers, and ethical considerations influencing the organizational adoption of HRA between 2015 and 2025. A structured search was conducted exclusively in the Scopus database following the PRISMA 2020 protocol to ensure transparency and replicability. From an initial corpus of 295 records, 67 studies met the inclusion criteria after duplicate removal, relevance screening, and full-text assessment. The synthesis shows that the Resource-Based View (RBV) remains the dominant theoretical foundation, complemented by Technology-Organization-Environment (TOE) and Socio-Technical Systems perspectives. Technological readiness, top management support, and external support commonly enable adoption, while data quality, analytical capability, and privacy issues remain key barriers. Ethical and sustainability concerns – particularly fairness, transparency, and responsible data governance – are increasingly emphasized in recent studies. This review provides a structured synthesis and future research agenda bridging theoretical and practical perspectives, offering insights for strengthening analytics governance, organizational capability, and evidence-based decision cultures.

Abstract

Abstract

This research explores the influence of implementing the Direct Instruction strategy through a behavioral approach in developing the linguistic intelligence of ADHD students at East OKU State SLB and Kayuagung State SLB, using a qualitative approach with observation, interviews, and documentation, and data analysis carried out through data reduction, data presentation, drawing conclusions, and triangulation to ensure validity. The results show that the application of Direct Instruction has a positive impact on increasing linguistic intelligence, where structured delivery of material, concrete media, and systematic steps, including initial orientation, material delivery, reading practice, alphabet exercises as a multisensory approach, and structured and independent practice, help students develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing abilities. Observations and interviews show that teachers can help ADHD students focus attention, compose sentences, and socialize through body movements. Teachers emphasize patience, understanding students' shortcomings, and compassion to create a supportive and empathetic learning environment that motivates students, while factors such as teacher creativity, preparedness, and learning media influence the effectiveness of Direct Instruction. Overall, structured Direct Instruction supported by creative and prepared teachers can be an effective strategy for developing the linguistic intelligence of ADHD students.
