Abstract

This study employs quantitative approach. This study used an experimental research design, specifically a quasi-experimental design, to reveal the effectiveness of Speakerly AI in improving students’ speaking skills at STKIP Tomakaka Tiwikrama. This study was conducted at STKIP Tomakaka Tiwikrama, Jl. Moh. Hatta, Pasangkayu Regency. The sample of study were the second semester students of English Education Department, in academic year 2024-2025, which was totally sixteen students. The sample was taken by using Purposive Sampling technique where eight students chosen as experimental group and eight students as control group. The treatment which integrating Speakerly AI for speaking practice in experimental group and traditional method in control group was carried out in four weeks. Data was collected through Likert scale and speaking test. The result showed that the t-observed value exceeded the t-critical value (12.452 >1.873), indicated that the Speakerly AI was significant in improving students' speaking skills. In addition, the overall students’ perception was 4.11 from 5.00, indicated that the students perceived Speakerly AI positively, especially at the usefulness aspect.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian untuk mengkaji pengaruh psikologis kecemasan terhadap kemampuan berbicara peserta didik. Kemampuan berbicara sering dipengaruhi oleh faktor psikologis, khususnya kecemasan. Penelitian ini mensintesis temuan dari penelitian sebelumnya untuk menelaah bagaimana kecemasan memengaruhi kemampuan berbicara peserta didik, baik itu dalam mode daring maupun tatap muka. Metode studi pustaka dengan menggunakan model PRISMA digunakan pada penelitian ini. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa kecemasan secara signifikan menghambat kemampuan berbicara peserta didik dengan mengurangi kemauan mereka untuk berkomunikasi, meningkatkan keragu-raguan, dan menyebabkan kesulitan dalam mengatur ide selama berbicara. Selain itu, faktor-faktor seperti takut akan penilaian negatif, kurangnya kepercayaan diri, dan kondisi lingkungan kelas berkontribusi pada kenaikan tingkat kecemasan. Implikasi pedagogis menunjukkan bahwa guru harus menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang mendukung dan menurunkan kecemasan peserta didik, menerapkan strategi pengajaran komunikatif, dan mendorong umpan balik positif untuk membantu mengurangi kecemasan siswa. Oleh karena itu, memahami dan mengelola kecemasan peserta didik sangat penting untuk meningkatkan keterampilan berbicara .

Abstract

Menumbuhkan kedisiplinan siswa merupakan salah satu tujuan utama pendidikan di sekolah. Salah satu pendekatan yang dapat dilakukan untuk mendukung pengembangan disiplin adalah melalui layanan konseling kelompok. Persepsi siswa terhadap layanan tersebut merupakan faktor yang dapat memengaruhi keterlibatan dan penerimaan mereka terhadap konseling kelompok. Oleh karena itu, penelitian mengenai persepsi siswa terhadap layanan konseling kelompok dalam menumbuhkan kedisiplinan perlu dilakukan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara persepsi siswa terhadap layanan konseling kelompok dengan kedisiplinan siswa di SMA Negeri 5 Batanghari. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode korelasional. Sampel penelitian terdiri atas 28 siswa yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menyebarkan angket menggunakan skala Likert yang terdiri atas 20 butir pernyataan. Hasil uji validitas menunjukkan bahwa 16 butir dinyatakan valid dan 4 butir dinyatakan tidak valid. Hasil uji reliabilitas memperoleh nilai Cronbach’s Alpha sebesar 0,903, sedangkan uji normalitas menggunakan uji Shapiro-Wilk menunjukkan nilai signifikansi sebesar 0,158, yang berarti data berdistribusi normal. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan uji korelasi Pearson Product-Moment dengan bantuan perangkat lunak IBM SPSS Statistics versi 26. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa persepsi siswa terhadap layanan konseling kelompok berada pada kategori sangat tinggi, yaitu sebanyak 15 responden (53,57%), sedangkan 13 responden (46,43%) berada pada kategori tinggi. Hasil uji hipotesis memperoleh koefisien korelasi (r) sebesar 0,685 dengan tingkat signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05). Hasil tersebut menunjukkan adanya hubungan yang signifikan, positif, dan kuat antara persepsi siswa terhadap layanan konseling kelompok dengan kedisiplinan mereka di SMA Negeri 5 Batanghari. Semakin positif persepsi siswa terhadap layanan konseling kelompok, maka semakin tinggi pula tingkat kedisiplinan mereka.

Abstract

Strategic management by madrasah principals is a critical factor in strengthening human resources and improving educational quality in private madrasahs. This study aims to analyze the strategies used by madrasah principals in planning, organizing, implementing, and evaluating human resource strengthening in private madrasahs in Mamuju Tengah Regency. This research employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving madrasah principals, teachers, educational staff, madrasah committee members, and foundation representatives selected purposively. Data were analyzed through data condensation, data display, conclusion drawing, and verification. The findings show that madrasah principals implemented strategic management through human resource needs analysis, quality-based work program formulation, teacher competency development, optimization of educational staff, academic supervision, work culture development, and collaboration with foundations and the community. Human resource strengthening contributed to improved teacher discipline, learning services, administrative order, work motivation, and public trust. The study concludes that directed, participatory, and sustainable strategic management by madrasah principals can strengthen human resource capacity and support educational quality improvement in private madrasahs.

Abstract

Vocabulary mastery plays a crucial role in language acquisition, particularly for students with autism who often experience communication difficulties and limited language development. This study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of word wall pictures in improving the vocabulary mastery of autistic students at Sekolah Luar Biasa Negeri 1 Enrekang. This study employed a pre-experimental design using a one-group pretest-posttest approach. The participants were three fourth-grade autistic students selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using multiple-choice vocabulary tests administered before and after the treatment. The treatment consisted of six instructional sessions using word wall pictures as visual learning media. The findings revealed a substantial improvement in students’ vocabulary achievement. The mean score increased from 53.33 in the pretest to 91.00 in the posttest. Furthermore, the t-test value (4.797) exceeded the t-table value (4.303) at the 0.05 significance level with two degrees of freedom, indicating a statistically significant difference between pretest and posttest scores. These findings suggest that word wall pictures effectively enhance vocabulary mastery among autistic students by providing meaningful visual support and increasing learning engagement.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji secara mendalam proses internalisasi nilai empati pada anak usia dini melalui penerapan metode storytelling di TK Al-Azhar Muaro Tebo, Jambi. Latar belakang penelitian ini berakar dari fenomena degradasi moral dan memudarnya kepekaan sosial pada anak-anak di era digital, yang ditandai dengan kecenderungan egosentrisme yang tinggi dan minimnya respons prososial terhadap lingkungan sekitar. Melalui pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif fenomenologis, penelitian ini mengeksplorasi strategi guru, respons anak, serta faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam implementasi metode berkisah. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif terstruktur selama tiga bulan, wawancara mendalam terhadap kepala sekolah dan empat guru kelas, serta dokumentasi portofolio perkembangan sosial-emosional anak. Analisis data menerapkan model interaktif Miles, Huberman, dan Saldana yang meliputi kondensasi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa internalisasi nilai empati melalui storytelling di TK Al-Azhar dilakukan secara sistematis melalui tiga tahapan utama: fase transformasi nilai (pengenalan karakter cerita), fase transaksi nilai (diskusi interaktif dan refleksi moral), dan fase transinternalisasi nilai (aktualisasi perilaku empati dalam interaksi harian). Media visual berupa boneka tangan dan buku cerita bergambar terbukti meningkatkan atensi dan keterlibatan emosional anak. Perubahan signifikan terlihat pada peningkatan aspek kognitif empati (kemampuan mengenali emosi orang lain) dan aspek afektif empati (menunjukkan kepedulian dan tindakan menolong). Faktor pendukung utama meliputi kompetensi pedagogik guru dalam memodulasi suara dan kreativitas memodifikasi alur cerita, serta dukungan sarana prasarana sekolah. Hambatan yang ditemukan berupa inkonsistensi pola asuh di rumah yang cenderung permisif dan paparan gawai yang berlebihan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa metode storytelling yang integratif, kontekstual, dan reflektif efektif membangun kecerdasan moral dan empati anak sejak dini.

Abstract

This study aims to describe and analyze the costume and props of the Kedidi Dance in the Perang Ketupat Traditional Ceremony, developed by the Limaupurut Studio. The Kedidi Dance is a traditional dance that has grown and developed within the community as a medium for cultural expression and a means of preserving local values. Costume and props are important elements in dance performances because they play a role in strengthening the character, symbolic meaning, and aesthetic value of the performance. However, studies that discuss these two elements in depth are still limited, so this study focuses on revealing the form, function, and meaning contained within them. The method used in this study is a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data collection was carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data obtained were then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing to obtain a comprehensive picture of the costume and props of the Kedidi Dance. The research results show that the Kedidi Dance's costume and props are adapted to the dance's character and Bangka Belitung's cultural identity. Furthermore, the props used serve not only as visual support but also as symbols that reinforce the meaning of the dance's movements and concepts. The findings of this study contribute to arts education, particularly dance education, as a reference and learning resource regarding the supporting elements of traditional dance. This research is expected to support efforts to preserve regional arts and culture and serve as a reference in the development of dance instruction in schools and studios.

Abstract

This conceptual paper examines the Capability Paradox, a condition in which competence, experience, and institutional expertise in public leadership may serve as sources of public value while simultaneously creating risks of authority abuse. Public sector competence has commonly been viewed as a prerequisite for bureaucratic effectiveness, public sector innovation, and accountable service delivery. However, in complex public organizations, competence does not automatically lead to good governance when it is not guided by integrity, accountability, and effective oversight. This study employs a conceptual method with a theory-building approach to develop a theoretical framework explaining the relationship between competence, administrative capability, integrity, accountability, and corruption risk. Drawing on literature in public administration, fraud theory, public integrity, accountability, and digital governance, this article proposes the Capability–Integrity Equilibrium Theory (CIET). CIET argues that administrative capability is ambivalent: it can generate public value when directed by a strong ethical governance filter, but it can also turn into corruption capability when embedded in weak ethical environments. The main contribution of this study lies in extending the concept of capability from an individual attribute in the Fraud Diamond into an institutional capacity shaped by positional experience, structural authority, access to information, actor networks, and mastery of organizational procedures. The article argues that public sector reform should not focus solely on improving bureaucratic competence, but must also establish equilibrium among capability, integrity, accountability, and oversight to ensure that competence remains aligned with the public interest.

Abstract

Based on the research findings and discussion, it can be concluded that the implementation of the Discovery Learning model assisted by concrete objects enhances students' mathematical problem-solving skills. This is evidenced by the increase in students' average scores from the pretest to the posttest, a finding further supported by the N-Gain analysis. Students taught using the Discovery Learning model with concrete objects demonstrated superior mathematical problem-solving skills compared to those taught using conventional methods. This was confirmed by hypothesis testing using an Independent Sample t-test, which revealed a significant difference between the experimental and control classes. The use of the Discovery Learning model with concrete objects enables students to engage actively in the learning process, thereby helping them grasp mathematical concepts more meaningfully and improving their mathematical problem solving abilities.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan serta mengetahui kelayakan media pembelajaran Flipbook Digital pada materi Merawat Kulit Wajah Tidak Bermasalah untuk siswa kelas X Tata Kecantikan SMK Swasta Tarbiyah Islamiyah. Penelitian menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi tahap Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 30 siswa kelas X Tata Kecantikan. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket, observasi, dan dokumentasi, sedangkan analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif persentase untuk menentukan tingkat kelayakan media. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media Flipbook Digital memperoleh penilaian sebesar 96% dari ahli materi dan 98% dari ahli media dengan kategori sangat layak. Hasil uji coba kelompok kecil memperoleh persentase 84%, kelompok sedang 88%, dan kelompok besar 93%, dengan rata-rata keseluruhan 88,3% yang termasuk kategori sangat baik. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut, media pembelajaran Flipbook Digital dinyatakan sangat layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran materi Merawat Kulit Wajah Tidak Bermasalah
