Abstract

Employee performance is a crucial factor in supporting the achievement of organizational goals and can be enhanced through factors such as self-efficacy and employee engagement. This study aims to analyze the influence of self-efficacy and employee engagement on employee performance at the Ngurah Rai Medium Customs and Excise Office (KPPBC Tipe Madya Pabean Ngurah Rai). This research employed a quantitative approach with a causal associative research design. The population consisted of 292 employees, while the sample included 105 respondents selected using the Slovin formula with a 10% margin of error. Data were collected through questionnaires and documentation and analyzed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and the coefficient of determination with the assistance of IBM SPSS Statistics Version 25. The results indicate that self-efficacy and employee engagement have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, both partially and simultaneously. Furthermore, the Adjusted R Square value of 0.603 indicates that 60.3% of the variation in employee performance is explained by self-efficacy and employee engagement, while the remaining 39.7% is influenced by other factors outside the scope of this study.

Abstract

The hospitality industry is required to maintain service quality through optimal employee performance. The Food and Beverage Department is one of the departments with a high work intensity due to its direct interaction with guests, making employees more susceptible to job stress. On the other hand, a high level of employee engagement is essential to enhance work motivation and support optimal employee performance. This study aims to analyze the effect of job stress and employee engagement on employee performance in the Food and Beverage Department at Samabe Bali Suites & Villas. This study employed a quantitative approach with a sample of 96 employees selected using the stratified random sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with the assistance of SPSS software. The results indicate that job stress and employee engagement have a positive and significant effect on employee performance, both partially and simultaneously. The simultaneous test produced an F-value of 152.576 with a significance level of 0.000, while the Adjusted R Square value of 0.766 indicates that both independent variables explain 76.6% of the variance in employee performance. These findings highlight the importance of effectively managing job stress and enhancing employee engagement to improve employee performance and service quality.

Abstract

The fast-paced evolution of digital technology has prompted the high-end hotel sector to prioritise influencer marketing and Instagram as key tactics for establishing a reputation for their brands. The purpose of this research is to examine how a Bali resort hotel that specialises in wellness and sustainability has used Instagram and influencer marketing to shape public perception of its brand. Statistical methods based on multiple linear regression analysis were used. A total of 110 people who regularly follow the hotel's official Instagram account were surveyed using a purposive sampling technique. The findings show that Instagram posts have a partial positive and significant impact on brand perception (t = 4.573; β = 0.249), influencer marketing has a partial positive and significant impact on brand perception (t = 6.538; β = 0.424), and when both variables are considered together, they have a positive and significant impact on brand perception (F = 86.333; Adjusted R² = 0.610). Influencer marketing is identified as the more dominant variable in shaping hotel brand image compared to Instagram social media content.

Abstract

This experimental study aims to determine the early growth response of red chili pepper to various planting media compositions. The research using a Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with 5 planting media composition treatments: M1 (Soil + Manure), M2 (Soil + Manure + Rice Husk 1:1:1), M3 (Soil + Compost + Rice Husk 1:1:1), M4 (Soil + Compost 1:1), and M5 (Soil + Manure + Compost 1:1:1), with 4 replications each. The observed parameters included plant height, number of leaves, fresh weight of biomass, root weight, and shoot weight. Data were analyzed using Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) and followed by the Honest Significant Difference (HSD) test at the 5% significance level. The analysis of variance showed that all treatments exerted a non-significant effect at the final observation phase (42 DAT). A significant fluctuation only occurred in plant height at 21 DAT, where the M1 treatment produced the lowest plant height (29 cm), which was significantly different from M3, M4, and M5, but became uniform again in the subsequent phase through a catch-up growth mechanism. In absolute numbers, the M3 treatment yielded the highest plant height (89 cm) and root weight (24.25 g), the M4 treatment yielded the highest shoot weight (74.75 g), while M5 produced the highest total fresh biomass weight (94 g). In conclusion, all variations of organic planting media compositions provide equivalent biological effectiveness for the early growth of red chili pepper.

Abstract

This research evaluates the effectiveness of food and beverage cost control and formulates strategies to optimize gross profit at Ely’s Kitchen Bali. Applying a mixed-methods case study approach, the investigator analyzed financial data from September 2024 to January 2026, supported by observations and interviews. Initial findings revealed poor cost efficiency, evidenced by an accumulated unfavorable variance of IDR 68.3 million caused by inaccurate purchasing forecasts and inconsistent portion controls. The management subsequently executed corrective actions by enforcing Standard Recipe compliance via digital scales, FIFO stock rotation, and weekly variance evaluations. These interventions successfully compressed actual costs to an ideal 33%–35% and boosted the gross profit margin beyond 64%. The success of this profit optimization fundamentally relies on disciplined inter-departmental collaboration and the utilization of historical data for management decisions.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of civil court digitalization in enhancing access to justice in Indonesia and to identify the obstacles encountered in implementing this digitalization to achieve such access. The ultimate goal is to ensure that all members of Indonesian society can access justice without exception or hindrance. This research is a library-based study utilizing data from books, legislation, articles, and journals. Data collection involved gathering ideas, theories, and concepts from various literature sources, focusing on a comparative analysis of legal principles, statutory provisions, and relevant laws. The study employs the statute approach, the conceptual approach, and the sociological approach. The findings indicate that the digitalization of civil courts plays a crucial role in improving access to justice and serves as a vital instrument for expanding such access across Indonesia. However, the digitalization process faces various challenges—ranging from regulatory issues, technological infrastructure, and human resource quality to digital literacy and disparities in internet access, particularly in remote areas. Consequently, the utilization of electronic court services to realize access to justice that is fast, easy, simple, and affordable remains suboptimal.
