Abstract

This research and development aims to produce a short story learning model of learning with science fiction. Then, test the effectiveness of Fantasy Play model products. The use of the development model used is 4-D which has stages of define, design, develop, and desseminate. The test is carried out with an expert validation process and a small scale field test. The test results indicate that the qualifications are feasible to implement and have a normal distribution> 0.05 and the significance is 0.000 <0.05. These results indicate that the Fantasy Play model can be used in learning.

Abstract

Development of a career portfolio guide for students of senior high school Bayt Al-Hikmah is a guide to career guidance activities that explore students' self-understanding in documenting and administering student learning outcomes in the form of career portfolios. Purpose of this research is to produce guidelines for students' career portfolios that are acceptable, in terms of accuracy, usability, convenience, and attractiveness. The design of the development uses the modified Borg and Gall (1983) R&D model. Data collection uses product assessment instruments by BK experts and media experts analyzed using inter-rater agreement techniques, with high index results in product acceptance in terms of accuracy, usability, convenience, and interest.

Abstract

The ability to master concepts can be developed with the Guided Inquiry learning model. The purpose of this study is to find out how the STEM-based Guided Inquiry learning model influences the mastery of the concept of high school students on static fluid material. This research was conducted at SMAN 6 Malang class XI, the subject of this study were 34 students. This research is a mixed method embedded experimental model. With the test of mastery of concepts in the form of essays as many as 5 items. From the results of the research conducted showed that there are differences in the mastery of the concept of students before and after getting STEM-based guided inquiry learning on static fluid material.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the tolerant behavior contained in poems by high school students. This research uses a qualitative approach based on the theory of sociological literature. The results showed that tolerant behavior contained in poems by students in the form of (1) respecting others, (2) accepting and valuing differences, (3) being open to others, and (4) accepting differences of opinion. Tolerant behavior in poetry high school students tends to be aimed at the closest people, namely mothers and friends. Tolerant behavior is also aimed not only at fellow human beings but also at other living things.

Abstract

This study aims to determine profile of fast track program based on the characteristics input and knowing the factors that influence academic achievement student of fast track program bachelor to master degree IPB. The method used in this study were descriptive analysis and classification and regression tree (CART). This research used primary and secondary data. Primary data were the result of interviews fast track program and secondary data were characteristic input fast track program. The results of the research study show student profile of fast track program dominated by female students, single, study program that have accreditation A, pass an English placement test and self-financing. The CART analysis finds two significant factors associated to student achievement. They were GPA score S1 and selection study program. Other factors are, based on interview result, motivation and commitment of the student in completing the study, type of research, as well as role and commitment of the supervisor in completing the study.

Abstract

This study aims to improve reading comprehension in class II MI Islamiyah Kediri City. This type of research is classroom action research. The study was conducted in two cycles. The results showed an increase in students' understanding of reading. The reading comprehension ability test is carried out in writing in the form of a description item. Minimum Mastery Criteria that has been set is 70. In the pre-cycle success percentage of 55.56%, increased to 72.22% in the first cycle, and increased again to 83.33% in the second cycle. he average class success target that researchers set was 80%. The success in the second cycle has reached 83.33%. This means that the average class success target has been achieved.

Abstract

A novel is a literature work of fiction which tells about the life of a person and the people around him which are presented in a series of stories that are more complex. A novel can be used as a source of learning for students. This study uses a novel as the source of learning to develop teaching material. This study aims at producing teaching material which describes the setting, characters, and events being told in the novel. This study is a research and development study which uses a 4-D model. The model covers four main stages namely define, design, develop, and disseminate. The teaching material that has been compiled contains activities, steps, exercises, revisions, and peer-assessments in writing descriptive text about setting, characters, and events by using quotations written in the tetralogy of Laskar Pelangi. The activities, steps, and exercises in the teaching material will help the students in writing descriptive text well and detailed.

Abstract

Scientific reasoning skills are very important for students to be obtained as their future provisions considering they are firmly related to problem solving and critical thinking skills. The purpose of this study was to identify high school students’ SRA based on gender in Situbondo Regency. This research method is quantitative descriptive utilizing a sample of 195 high school students selected utilizing purposive sampling. The instrument consisted of 26 open-ended multiple-choice questions with a reliability coefficient α = 0.797. The results of this research indicate that the distinctions in SRA between male and female students are inexistent. However, female students have a slightly higher average SRS value and outperform the SRS level achievement of male students, spesifically on correlational reasoning, probabilistic reasoning, and hyphotetico-deductive reasoning. In addition, most of students (84,10%) remain on the concrete operational level and this indicates that the students’ SRSs is still low. Combinatorial reasoning considered as the lowest achievement indicators whilst correlation reasoning indicators quite the opposite. Based on the findings, the implication based on theory and practices have been discussed.

Abstract

This research aims to find out the effectiveness of interactive multimedia-based tennis teaching materials for students. This research is a research on the development of interactive multimedia-based tennis teaching materials. The data was collected by distribution of questionnaires then next was analyzed with descriptive statistic technique. The research result shows that the interactive multimedia-based tennis teachingmaterials is effective and efficient to improve the learning outcomes and it has significant attractiveness.

Abstract

This research was conducted at Dharma Wanita Persatuan 1 TK Senggreng with the purpose of describing the influence of the game of science problems on children's science process skills and describing the differences in the influence from skills of science process for children aged 5—6 years on the treatment of science problematic games and conventional learning methods. This study used a quasy experiment research design that applied the pretest posttest control group a design with quantitative research methods. The results of this research indicate that the mean posttest data score of science process proficiency in the experimental class is 16.00 and is greater than the control class which is 6.10 or 16.00> 6.10. So, there are differences in the effect of science problematics games with conventional learning methods for science process skills in children aged 5 to 6 years.
