Abstract

AbstractThis study aims to: (1) produce teaching modules based on the Rayisah learning model that are suitable for use in learning English and (2) to determine the effectiveness, validity, and practicality of the teaching module based on the Rayisah learning model. This type of research is research and development that uses the RD model from Borg and Gall combined with the instructional design model from Dick and Carey. This research method has two stages, namelyIn the phase of developing and trial, the product must pass some validations and trial processes. The result shows that: (1) the assessment of instructional material experts is in the criteria of “very good” (82,94%), (2) the assessment of instructional design experts is in the criteria of “very good” (81,58%), (3) the assessment of instructional model expert is in the criteria of “very good” (94,42%), (4) the assessment of media experts is in the criteria of “very good” (85%), (5) the assessment of individual trial is in the criteria of “very good” (81,03%), (6) the assessment of small group trial is in the criteria of “very good” (90,09%), and (7) the assessment of field trial is in the criteria of “very good” too (92,08%).In the phase of testing the product’s effectiveness, the methode used is quasi experiment. 20 students are in the experimental class which were taught with a life skills based instructional model and 20 students are in the control class which were taught with a conventional one. The result of hypothesis testing indicates that there is a significant difference between the students’ learning outcome in the experimental class and the students’ learning outcome in the control class. This result is concluded based on the post test data processing in which tcount ttable (3.34 1.68) at the significance level of α = 0.05. Therefor, the life skills based instructional model is proper and effective used in learning English at training and course institute.

Abstract

Abstract: The pandemic has prompted the use of supplemental learning tools such as podcasts to become increasingly used to bridge the gap between lecturers and students. This paper argues that podcasting not only sharpens students’ listening skills but also enables them to engage with content more efficiently. This paper is underpinned by the transactional distance theory and the community of inquiry theory to understand the role of podcasting in teaching and learning in distance education. In an attempt to decrease transactional distance, this case study evaluates students’ perceptions of the implementation of podcasts in one South African ODL university, as an example, and investigates the effectiveness of using podcasts as a supplemental teaching tool in an English language module. The findings suggest that supplemental learning does decrease the transactional distance between lecturers-students and students-content. Moreover, the study found that podcasts tend to foster a teaching, social and cognitive presence that forms a community of inquiry. This paper concludes by providing pedagogical recommendations for teacher and student development in distance education contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to produce a Computer Adaptive (CAT) system with an Items Response Theory (IRT) approach in Multimedia for Students of SMK Negeri 1 Gunung Talang. This research is a research on the development of a web-based system using the RD (Research and Development) method by applying the 4-D (Four-D) models. Basically this system is almost the same as the CBT (Computer Based Test) system, the difference from this system is that the system is able to randomize and give questions according to the ability of the test takers by using the Items Response Theory (IRT) algorithm. This system uses the Items Response Theory 3-PL model in which the parameters of this model are the level of difficulty of the items, the discriminating power of the questions and the questioning or distraction. This test system will give questions randomly to students based on the test takers' responses to the previous questions, In this system, each test taker will never get the same order of questions. Termination of the test when the test taker has reached the level of accuracy of the ability estimate, namely SE = 0.01 or if the items have been exhausted. The result of this research is a Computer Adaptive Test (CAT) system with an Items Response Theory (IRT) approach, which can be used in the process of assessing student learning outcomes. The implementation of this research is applied in the Multimedia Department of SMK Negeri 1 Gunung Talang with Printing Graphic Design Subjects.

Abstract

 Moodle has provided a variety of plugins to accommodate the needs of online learning activities. One of them is H5P which can increase the interactivity of content presented in the Learning Management System (LMS). Based on monitoring through the UNP Executive Information System (SIE), only 0.085% used H5P out of 10,593 course sessions. The results of observations showed that sessions using H5P also show that there is an inappropriate use of H5P. This needs to be evaluated with the aim of revealing the student's perspective on the use of H5P and the obstacles that students face while using H5P-based content. This research is a descriptive study using a non-experimental design with a cross-sectional quantitative approach conducted at Universitas Negeri Padang. The research sample selected using the purposive sampling method was given a questionnaire that assessed aspects of the usability, integration, impact, and characteristics of the H5P content. The results show that the student's perspective on H5P as an interactive learning medium to support the LMS of Universitas Negeri Padang is very positive both in terms of usability, integration, impact, and characteristics of the material, although there are still students who think that it is not optimal because of the obstacles students face. Therefore, in order to optimize the use of H5P content for students, lecturers, and universities, it is important to consider issues related to networks, devices, technical use of H5P, work orders, navigation, and time as summarized in this study.Moodle telah menyediakan beragam plugin untuk mengakomodasi kebutuhan aktivitas pembelajaran online. Salah satunya adalah H5P yang dapat meningkatkan interaktivitas konten yang disajikan di Learning Management System (LMS).  Berdasarkan pantauan melalui sistem, hanya 0,085% yang menggunakan H5P dari 10.593 sesi mata kuliah. Hasil observasi terhadap sesi mata kuliah yang menggunakan H5P juga menunjukkan bahwa ada penggunaan H5P yang kurang tepat. Hal ini perlu dievaluasi dengan tujuan mengungkap bagaimana perspektif mahasis terhadap penggunaan H5P dan kendalah yang mahasiswa hadapi selama menggunakan konten berbasis H5P. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif menggunakan desain non-eksperimental dengan pendekatan kuantitatif cross sectional yang dilakukan di Universitas Negeri Padang. Sampel penelitian yang dipilih dengan metode purposive sampling diberikan angket yang menilai aspek kegunaan, integrasi, dampak, dan karakteristik konten H5P. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa  perspektif mahasiswa terhadap H5P sebagai media pembelajaran interaktif untuk mendukung LMS Universitas Negeri Padang sangat positif baik dari aspek kegunaan, integrasi, dampak dan karakteristik materi, meskipun masih terdapat mahasiswa yang menilai tidak maksimal karena kendala yang mahasiswa hadapi. Jadi, untuk optimalisasi penggunaan konten H5P mahasiswa, dosen, dan perguruan tinggi penting mempertimbangkan masalah terkait jaringan, perangkat, teknis penggunaan H5P, perintah kerja, navigasi, dan waktu seperti yang dirangkum pada penelitian ini.

Abstract

This study aims to see how the teacher and students’ perception on Interactive Multimedia in teaching English at Senior High school in Padang Pariaman. This study uses descriptive qualitative as the method within the interview as an instrument for this research. So, the researcher took one English teacher and 5 eleventh-grade students as participants to be interviewed. The results of this study indicate that there is a misunderstanding of the concept of interactive multimedia used by the teacher and the students. The teacher already use multimedia in teaching english, but the multimedia used did not include interactive multimedia. However, based on the results of interviews, the teacher and the students gave positive responsd to the use of multimedia in the teaching and learning process of english because it is interesting so that the students are interested and focused on learning. By using multimedia, it is easier for the teacher to convey the material and explain the material systematically in supporting the teaching and learning process in the classroom.

Abstract

Composite-based structures are becoming increasingly common in aircraft construction. Its use is done to improve structural strength performance and weight loss of aircraft. Composite is divided into two manufacturing concepts, namely, composite sandwich and also composite laminate. The composite sandwich concept provides a method for obtaining high bending stiffness with minimal weight compared to laminate construction. The number of advantages obtained in composite sandwiches can’t be separated from the level of difficulty possessed in the process of making and repairing composites. This study examines the hazards caused in the manufacturing and repair procedures using the Job Hazard Analysis method. The concept and design of the procedure after analysis will be implemented into an augmented reality-based education system using blender and unity applications.

Abstract

This research aims to produce project-based learning-based electronic learner worksheets as a support for natural science learning materials in the fifth grade of elementary school. Methods used by Research Development using an approach developed using; Analyze, Design, Develop, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE). This research was held at Munjul State Elementary School 01 East Jakarta. The steps in this study are 1) Conducting needs analysis through interviews and questionnaires, 2) Making product designs, 3) Conducting product development, 4) Conducting trials to learners and 5) Evaluating products. The object in the study was 30 elementary school fifth graders, data analysis techniques using interviews and questionnaires. The results of the development trial were evaluated by media experts 88.5% material experts 84.61% and linguists obtained from an average score of 92.3% with excellent categories, then the results of product trials through one to one got a score of 83.75% with excellent categories and product trial results through small groups got a score of 88.33 % with very good category. This research shows that project-based learning-based electronic learner worksheets are feasible to be used for learning media as an additional source of fifth-grade elementary school natural science learning.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi saat ini menuntut ASN memiliki kemampuan berteknologi sebagai bagian dari upaya peningkatan kinerja. Penggunaan LMS dalam proses pendidikan dan pelatihan ASN di BPSDMD Jawa Tengah dilakukan sebagai upaya dalam memfasilitasi proses pembelajaran dimana pun dan kapanpun serta memberikan kemudahan dalam proses pelatihan. Pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman mengenai learning management system dan pengelolaannya. Pengabdian ini dilakukan di lingkungan BPSDMD Provinsi Jawa Tengah dengan metode on the job training (OJT). Proses pengabdian diawali dengan pemberian pemahaman mengenai LMS dan proses pengelolaannya, dilanjutkan dengan analisis kondisi serta pemberian masukan terhadap LMS yang telah dijalankan instansi BPSDMD, kemudian diakhir dengan pemberian ruang dialog bagi pengelola LMS dengan tim pengabdian guna bertukar pikiran untuk pengembangan LMS yang telah berjalan. Pengabdian ini diharapkan dapat memeberikan sumbangan dalam pengembangan proses pembelajaran modern dengan penerapan LMS.

Abstract

Teachers and students had access to and were making use of digital tools and platforms when the education system was strained by the COVID-19 pandemic. The purpose of this research is to investigate how digital utilization into the instructional process affected teachers' use of technology during the recent COVID-19 pandemic. In this qualitative study, we used surveys (the Technology Integration and the Teaching Performance Survey) to gather our data. One hundred and one science teachers from junior high school levels were included in the sample from West Java Area, Indonesia. As the research showed, During the COVID-19 pandemic, teachers' adoption of technology was aided by digital content on science significantly positive to support and complete the learning goals. Implications for policymakers, school administrators, and future studies are essential for further development.Guru dan siswa memiliki akses ke dan memanfaatkan alat dan platform digital ketika sistem pendidikan berubah secara drastis sebagai akaibat dari pandemi COVID-19. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengulas bagaimana dampak pemanfaatan materi digital dalam proses pembelajaran di sekolah jenjang menengah (SMP) khususnya pada bidang studi IPA yang mempengaruhi penggunaan teknologi oleh guru selama pandemi COVID-19 baru-baru ini. Dalam studi kualitatif ini, kami menggunakan dua survei (Survei Integrasi Teknologi dan Performansi Guru) untuk mengumpulkan data. Seratus satu guru IPA tingkat SMP terlibat atau turut serta sebagai sampel dalam penelitian ini yang berasal dari sekolah di wilayah Jawa Barat, Indonesia. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, Selama pandemi COVID-19, adopsi teknologi oleh guru yang diikuti dengan integrasi teknologi meningkatkan performansi guru dalam mengajar sehingga secara signifikan dan positif mendukung ketercapaian tujuan pembelajaran. Implikasi lanjutan bagi pembuat kebijakan, administrator sekolah, dan studi kedepannya juga dirasa penting untuk dikembangkan

Abstract

Patients with tuberculosis certainly have a desire to recover. The desire to healhy can be driven by various things and various factors. In this case the factors that encourage healing can arise from   internal and external sufferers. Health education provided by health workers in an effort to improve public   health    needs to be supported by the ability of health workers to carry out interpersonal communication so that government programs to nourish the community can be achieved according to the targets set.  Social reality in the form of values attached to the concept of healthy living behavior will be accepted by  people      with Tuberculosis from their environment through an interaction process. This stage is known as internalization. When internalizing these values, there are different meanings of symbols  of healthy living  behavior caused by various factors, so that tuberculosis sufferers have their own version of meaning of healthy living behavior, which is externalized through verbal and nonverbal expressions. It is this understanding of the symbol of healthy living behavior based on its version that ultimately forms a new  social reality of the concept and meaning of healthy living, this is called externalization. The results  of the externalization process carried out by tuberculosis patients will slowly be legitimized institutionally and socially, so objectification occurs in the form of a process of mutual acceptance of the meaning  of clean     and healthy living behavior for tuberculosis patients and the environment they interact with. Pasien penderita penyakit tuberkolosa tentunya mempunyai keinginan untuk sembuh. Keinginan untuk sembuh dapat didorong oleh berbagai hal dan  berbagai faktor. Dalam  hal ini faktor-faktor yang mendorong untuk kesembuhan dapat muncul dari internal dan eksternal penderita. Pendidikan Kesehatan yang diberikan oleh Nakes dalam upaya meningkatkan Kesehatan masyarakat perlu ditunjang oleh kemampuan Nakes dalam melakukan komunikasi interpersonal sehingga, program pemerintah dalam menyehatkan masyarakat dapat tercapai sesuai target yang sudah dicanangkan. Realitas sosial      berbentuk nilai-nilai yang melekat pada konsep perilaku hidup sehat akan diterima oleh para   pengidap Tuberkolosa dari lingkungannya melalui proses interaksi. Tahapan ini disebut sebagai internalisasi. Pada saat melakukan internalisasi nilai-nilai tersebut, terjadi pemaknaan yang berbeda atas simbol perilaku hidup sehat yang disebabkan oleh beragam faktor, sehingga para penderita tuberkolosa memiliki makna perilaku hidup sehat menurut versinya sendiri, yang dieksternalisasikan melalui pengekspresian secara verbal dan nonverbal. Pemahaman tentang simbol perilaku hidup sehat berdasarkan versinya inilah yang pada akhirnya membentuk realitas sosial yang baru akan konsep dan arti hidup sehat, ini  disebut eksternalisasi. Hasil      dari proses eksternalisasi yang dilakukan oleh pasien tuberkolosa secara p erlahan akan terlegitimasi  secara institusional maupun sosial, maka terjadilah obyektivikasi berupa proses penerimaan bersama atas makna perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat bagi para pasien tuberkolosa serta lingkungan yang berinteraksi dengan mereka.
